• Soyoung (1/5): Worst Guest house ever - I had to leave in the middle of my stay because I felt completely unsafe here. Another guest in my dorm room was acting erratically, constantly staring at me, and trying to pick fights out of nowhere she even kept interrogating me about a bag on the floor that wasn't even mine. Feeling threatened, I contacted the manager for help. Instead of resolving the issue, they completely dismissed my concerns, feigned ignorance, and just asked, "So what's the problem?" The environment here is unsafe, and the management is utterly irresponsible. He is disrespectful, without common sense to address minor issues. Very poor communication. He doesn't seem to have the qualification to work even as a messenger in any organization

• Trinisha (3/5): It’s probably the cheapest find for a hostel. But keep it expectations very low in terms of space and facilities. - Location was a plus. Bus stops and MRT stations are 4-5 min walk away; and even the iconic SG spots and some hawker centres are all located within 1-3 km radius. It is extremely cramped - dorms as well as the bathrooms. The aircon in the largest dorm that I was staying in was not working the day I checked in. There wasn’t much done to fix it. While the receptionist was helpful, the other staff was not very polite and seemed pretty irritated in general with everyone in the property.

• Chin-Yang (4/5): Unfortunately, I had to share a room with two extremely loud snorers—one started around midnight and the other at 4 a.m. - The location The duvet cover was heavily pilled and uncomfortable. The bath mat in the bathroom was frequently pushed aside, leaving guests without a proper place to step. Despite the no-shoes policy, some guests were still wearing slippers or other footwear, so it would be helpful to clarify what is allowed. Providing earplugs would also improve the stay.

But maybe this time may be helpfull for others planning stay over there. My phone charger was stolen from my bed after somebody changed my bedsheet by mistake (thinking I have checked out). When talked to the quite arogant girl at the reception next day she acted like dont care. Seeing my frustration (all my tickets and visas kept in my phone) she laugted at me... When I told her I am going to leave review and report it to booking, she said they will be some refound and they going to report it to the police. Nothing like that happened till today. For those who plan to stay over there ->Keep everything in the locker, otherwise You may loose it.

The staff are generally unfriendly, especially one female cleaner who regularly behaves arrogantly and speaks rudely to guests. I am not writing this out of hatred—I have stayed at this hostel several times whenever I visit Singapore. During my first stay in a female-only dorm, my clothes went missing almost daily, including some of my better clothing. At first, I thought the issue might have been other guests in the female dorm. Because of this, I later moved to a mixed dorm where I was the only female guest. Despite this, every time the room was cleaned, around three items of clothing would disappear. Since there were no other women in the room, I strongly believe a female cleaner was responsible. I chose not to confront the issue at the time. Based on my repeated long stays and personal experiences, I do not consider this a good or safe hostel to stay in. Additionally, the kitchen is often very smelly and unhygienic. The whole hostel smells dirty shoes yuck! The old cleaner is so bad I’m sure there are many complaints about her! Beat Arts Hostel is the worst hostel I’ve stayed at in Singapore. The staff are unfriendly, especially one female cleaner who is often rude and arrogant toward guests. I’ve stayed here multiple times, and during my visits, my clothes repeatedly went missing. This happened both in a female-only dorm and later in a mixed dorm where I was the only woman. Each time the room was cleaned, items disappeared. Based on my experience, I strongly suspect a female cleaner was responsible. Overall, I do not recommend this hostel. The kitchen is also very smelly. And the whole hostel reception areas smells shoes.

Beat Arts Hostel is extremely disappointing. The staff are unprofessional and unfriendly, and one female cleaner in particular is rude and disrespectful to guests. During my stays, I experienced repeated theft of my clothes, even in a mixed dorm where I was the only female. Despite reporting issues to the staff, nothing was done to address it. The hostel is poorly maintained—the kitchen is smelly, and the rooms feel unclean. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend staying here. Reception and other open space is smelling rotten shoes yuck! The female old cleaner is very unprofessional and always fights guests. I’ve encountered many times as she fights with the guests and I really hate when they put me in a female room to sleep under one roof with her. She’s very mouthy omg! Always fights with everyone she knocks walls at night to fight with guests just because someone is snoring. Causes disturbance everywhere. So if you are snoring be ready for the fight.😂😂😂😂 I don’t snore but that’s so unprofessional hitting wooden walls at night just because someone is snoring. One day they put me on top of the bed where she was sleeping in room 208 and she was sleeping on the lower bed. The beds are wooden so when you turn the bed must shake little bit it’s normal. That woman punched the bed so hard and got my a*s😂😂😂 so dramatic that one. I woke up with pain because I can’t sleep without turning at night. Everytime I turn she used to punch me so hard. I’ve never experienced this anywhere since I started traveling. I’ve been to more than 15 countries but this is a new experience! Work on that. So bad attitude yuck disgusting.

La comunicación fue siempre fácil y rápida, y la anfitriona fue muy gentil y atenta en todo momento. Como aspecto a mejorar, el aseo podría ser un poco más cuidadoso, pero en general es un lugar recomendable y al que volveríamos.
