Man braucht jedoch ein Fahrzeug um Chiang Mai oder andere Orte zu erreichen. Alles war im super Zustand und das Personal inkl. dem Besitzer waren außerordentlich freundlich und zuvorkommend. In der direkten Umgebung gibt es kaum Restaurants oder Geschäfte

Julia (10/5): Exceptional - Choose Papai as we had just completed the Hong Som loop over 10 days on a bike, and I wanted somewhere peaceful. I wasn't disappointed: The staff are so attentive and helpful. The food is amazing. The room is spacious, clean, and comfortable. The gardens are beautiful. The pool was an added bonus. The area is quiet, and a scooter is recommended to get around. Lots to explore in the local area, with Chiang mia about 12 miles away. The family dogs are friendly and stay clear of you. Would definitely recommend it here for a stay. Loved it.

Alexander (9/5): Amazing family-run resort, quiet and clean. - This place is run by a family and brings that energy of care and welcoming. The breakfast is amazing, served by the river and with many things to try. The staff is available if you need anything else. The facilities are great, you have swimming pool, bonfire, park for kids, plenty of nature and well-cared gardens with lots of space around,..and the area is very quiet. It is the perfect escape! All the other guests had a car or a scooter. It is in a nature area so don't expect much to do around the resort.

Bryce (9/5): Superb - The grounds and restaurant are really pleasant. Great place to relax for a few days. The room was large and had a balcony with a nice river view. The staff was super friendly and helpful. It is pretty far outside the city, but I'm glad we stayed there for CAD Yi Peng because traffic near the city gets really busy, but where this is located we didn't have to wait in traffic long. It is 40 minutes out of the city and not near much, so you won't be able to walk to anything. The Grab app prices the trip incorrectly, so drivers will ask for an extra payment. The lodge can arrange transportation for you to and from the property, though it can be a bit expensive (for Thailand). This actually ended up being in our favor because traffic was so bad near the city for Yi Peng. It's also a very pleasant property, so we were happy to just hang out there. But it's something to be aware of. Also, Wi-Fi was spotty. I saw this in the reviews and asked for a room with good Wi-Fi since I'm a digital nomad, and they put us near the restaurant where they said the Wi-Fi was the best. I still had to fall back to my phone's data via hotspot from time to time, though.

Bianca (9/5): Worth every penny, lovely and would stay again. - The word “resort” is thrown around a lot in Thailand, but this place is an actual resort. It has a restaurant/ cafe, a pool, the grounds are beautifully kept, it had a play set for kids, and the rooms are beautiful. We came in late and the owner upgraded us to a villa, (thank you!) and it was a truly restful experience. We were on a family trip with a lot of to do’s and this ended our visit on a relaxing note. The staff was incredibly kind as well. Everything was great, but with a resort comes resort pricing, so the things like laundry service are doing to be more expensive. The cafe was competitively priced however, which I appreciated. It is a little bit far from the city but that’s actually nice, Chiang Mai is getting too busy.

Josca (6/5): Dusty and no connecting rooms - The lodge is in a lovely location. Very green and relaxing. The buildings are spread widely which makes te resort quiet and relaxing. The buildings were worn and very dusty. Many gecko's in our room. The whole place could use a deep scrub. The 2 bedroom villa was dissapointing, as the 2 bedrooms didn't connect. Because of this our kids had to sleep alone in their locked room, which scared them.
Ofer (10/5): Exceptional - First of all - James and the family. They did everything possible to make us feel at home. And we did. The place is very relaxing. A lot if freedom for the kids to play around. Nice inviting pool. Great restaurant with a quiet river beside it. James even helped us with a firecamp one evening. And he also recommended on a great amazing village to visit during the weekend. We would absolutely stayed longer if we could. Thank you James, and the family.

Maegan (10/5): Picturesque getaway that feels like visiting old friends - This is my second stay at Papai. It’s such a wonderful, quiet, beautiful getaway from noisy, busy city-life in Chiang Mai. The staff are amazing!!! So friendly and eager to serve. They remembered me from my previous stay almost three years ago! Beds are typical SE Asia firm, a bit too firm for my taste.

CHING CHEN (10/5): Perfect, fantastic, wonderful stay !!! - My wife, 2 kids and I stayed for 3 nights at Papai and we enjoyed every moment. The resort is very new, villas were beautiful and well-equipped. The swimming pool is well-maintained and very clean. It located away from the city and it is surrounded by greenery. The area is quiet and peaceful. The rooms were clean and spacious. James and his wife and staff were super helpful and friendly. We arrived late at 21:00, they prepared dinner for us. James is a good guide, he recommended many good places for us to visit. Also, he provided driving service to us. The Thai food offered by the restaurant is delicious. The breakfast is good and the ingredients are so fresh. The locally-grown mangoes are the must-try food, my son said the mango is “Miss Chiang Mai”! We strongly believed that Papai Country Lodge is one on the best hotel in Chiang Mai! We will definitely come again!!

Brian (10/5): Romantic getaway - This place is so pretty. The owners are first class and so kind. We arrived late at 7:30 for check in. We hadn't eaten. Khun James, the owner, was waiting to check us in. The restaurant normally closes at 8 but him and his wife, both international chefs, kept it open until 9 so we could enjoy a late dinner, along with a very nice Chilean Cabernet. Our stay was too short, but perfect otherwise. The resort has a very nice pool too which sadly I did not use due to pressing time commitments we had.

Rin Kim (10/5): - 1. Very kind staffs The staffs are very kind. Informed me everything for sight seeing, call song-thaw or taxi. Took me to the local market. I checked in very late because of flight delay, but the check-in procedure was very smooth. And i asked pick-up service, they sent me decent and reliable driver. He was also very kind. All the staffs smiled all the time. And they took me to the song-thaw driver so that i could reach to the greenbus station for next destination. 2. Clear and comfortable room The room looked exactly the same as the picture here. Totally satisfied. And the pool was clean. I could enjoy swiming. 3. 'Country' lodge It is located in suburban. Very quiet, cozy and peaceful. But the thing is that i visited here alone. It would be much greater if i visited with my family or friends. If you rent a car or take song-thaw with other people, you can save much money. 4. Nice view! I think it's the strongest point of this place. The lodge is surrounded by beautiful forest. You can definitely beathe fresh air, appreciate much green leaves. I dont think you can find a place like this at this cheap price in the city. If you need to releave your stress, need much relax then it's the place you are looking for. 5. Great breakfast. I could enjoy the fresh meal. Fruits, Thai stir-fried rice, bread, coffee and juice etc. Maybe there is sth i forgot mention. But i really enjoyed the stay, i already recommend this place to my friends.

Wilfred (10/5): Excellent resort with exemplary service! - The resort is very new, villas were beautiful and well-equipped. The swimming pool is well-maintained and very clean. Located away from the city, the resort provides a peaceful getaway surrounded by 360 degrees of nature and greenery. Service was exemplary, resort owner upgraded my villa free of charge because I had requested for a villa with a mountain-view (which was a very kind gesture) and went out of their way to arrange for a surprise birthday celebration for my girlfriend. The owner and his family made our stay very enjoyable and comfortable, providing driving services and even preparing our choice of breakfast as well! I will strongly recommend this resort!
