Guest Reviews
- Mercado (1/5): I would not recommend this place to anyone . - Not Applicable Nothing
- Mull (7/5): -
- Fernando Gonzales (4/5): Can’t say it’s good value because it’s cheap. Should’ve cost less than 50$ for that experience I just had here - The staff were super friendly and always helped out when I needed them to with no issues It smells absolutely disgusting through the entire hotel like cigarettes and just a$ basically the room even stunk which made it unbearable.
- Sandra (10/5): - Another home away from home! The staff- environment - ammenities- everything you would ever need for an actual home conveniently placed right here! I cannot recall anything I didnt like.
- Jefferies (10/5): -
- amber (10/5): -
- William (1/5): The worse stay ever - Nothing The staff
- James (1/5): If you want bed bugs this is the place to get them. - Close to town. That’s it The property had shady people walking around. Smoking and staring at you. The hall ways smelled of weed and just nasty odors. The rooms stunk like mold and some unknown funk.
- Lori (1/5): Would not go there again!!! - Outside looked fine. Smoke smell in building, smell of weed, rooms were not well kept, bad mattress with large craters, feel springs underneath
- Elikem (1/5): Never booking that hotel again 🙂↔️ - Didn't like nun about my stay The room walls had some stains the water pressure was terrible and don't get me started on the bed literally sank into the bed an basically was sleeping on the frame of the bed plus it was wayyyyyy to soft
- Foster (10/5): - Easy access for my husband due to him being in a wheelchair Nothing every thing was perfect

- Sellers (3/5): Roach Motel...which they had a full one I had to toss when I arrived. - The roaches really overshone the postives. The room had roaches. When i went to check out I was made to feel like I brought them with me. The Pest Control came when i was leaving. I hope none of the roaches got into my stuff. I should have been offered a refund instead of attitude and refusing to speak to me. I loved this hotel just last year but the roaches were prolific and the other party left a day earlier.
- Jorlene (2/5): - There were cáscara
- Kevin (2/5): - Bugs were in the room.
- Ryan (4/5): - Odors throughout the hallways and elevator.
Room was “just cleaned” before we arrived. Toilet and shower were not very clean. The sink looked fine then after a few minutes the air vent above the sink started dripping rusty water. Either from the vent or condensation. Left vent on and that minimized the dripping.
A few roaches during our time.
Sheets were stained and needed replaced.
No other hotels (with better reviews) in area allowed pets or we would have moved.
This facility is an extended stay so a lot of regulars and facility is not updated

- Nicholas (4/5): Decent but could have been better - The staff was very friendly and professional. The room was clean to the appearance and swept. The location of the hotel was in a decent area. We enjoyed a wonderful quiet stay. No outside noise or disturbances. The outside of the hotel looks way better than the inside. When we got to our room and the door was already open and unsecure (the metal hook was holding it open). We had to kill a roach, the towels and bedding had stains on them, and the cabinet wood was chipped. The elevator was also hot with no air. Not a 4.0
- Snider (1/5): Cockroaches, smelly/unsanitary hallways and loud people and music - Parking lot was okay Cockroaches around the air conditioners and in the cabinets
- Kristen (10/5): - The room was clean and had everything it said it would. The fridge and microwave worked well, hot water in sinks and shower worked well. The equipment in the workout room worked and the laundry facilities were convenient and priced well.
- Wilkie (2/5): Horrible stay! For what paid to stay there it could have been a lot better! - The lady behide the desk when we arrived was great! The bed was way too hard and the ac didn’t work at all! The floors was horrible and we had to ask for the pillows and trash bags and towels!!!!
- Kenneth (1/5): Bad - We saw several roaches. Sticky and dirty refrigerator. Hard bed. Smelly
- Santara (10/5): Exceptional -
- Diane (2/5): - Did not feel safe
- Sadanandan (1/5): Bad - Need a refund Dirty sheets and smell
- Mohamed (2/5): - Checked in and checked out right away nasty place didn’t even spend the night there because I just couldn’t.
- Mildred (1/5): Promised to refund my money when I refused to stay and never have so far. - I liked the idea that I could bring my dog with me in what I thought would be a nice facility. Groups of long-term residents hanging around outside smoking cigarettes was the first turn-off. A completely wobbly luggage cart brought me to a non-smoking room that had clearly been smoked in lots. Even had cigarette burns on the toilet seat cover, a cigarette was sitting on the counter in the kitchen area. Further investigation found a black soot in the bathrub. The final thing that got to me exit as soon as possible was seeing multiple dead cockroaches on the floor. Yes they had sprayed, but where there's one there is more. They didn't even bother to vacuum them up.
- Bradley (1/5): Garbage - Nothing Nastiest rooms I’ve ever set foot in ac hanging off the wall smelled of a skunk in the building hairs every where in the door on the toilet only thing they did was give us a refund
- Gregory (2/5): - Everything you could think of bad about this property… it is
- Hector (1/5): Bad - Room smells very bad Refrigerator wasn't working
- Chad (8/5): - Very accommodating and affordable
- Selena (1/5): Bad - Nothing Rooms and elevator smelled and were not clean
- Fonseca (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hamrick (1/5): Close.it down - The staff took all my Belongings.before.I returned back Friday and I always paid my rent on Friday afternoon. But the staff had win in to my room and took all my shit before I got there I think you need to hire all new stuff
- Raeisi (1/5): I was VERY dissatisfied and request a refund for not being able to sleep inside due to the condition - As an Army Veteran who has deployed and been in various countries, I was very dissatisfied! The hotel was visibly dissatisfying outside and inside! The place needs to be renovated. It stinks and smells like various odors, especially dogs and old smoke. The floors are very dirty. I checked in and slept outside in my car. I am definitely requesting a refund and I will never visit this hotel ever again. The bathroom was dirty and it was unhealthy people inside and outside hanging around. Everything!
- Shari (1/5): Bad - Too many roaches I really didn't like nothing about it
- Mildred (1/5): First time I have refused to sleep in a place and asked for a refund--don't need cockroaches. - I would not sleep there, as the final blow was to find dead cockroaches littered around the floor. The people seemed nice, but the desk person did not bother to come see what the problem was with the room. First the smell of entrenched smoke in the room was enough to drive me away to ask for another room, but they did not have any, they said. The desk person of blue mohawk said he would approve refunding my money, just have booking.com call and he would approve. I went to the room to get my things and found a cigarette and some trash on the counter, in a non-smoking room. I began to clean up to see if I could make a go of it, but found the bathtub black with dirt and what I thought was a stain on the toilet cover was cigarette burns, again in a non-smoking room. Then to see on the floor littered with cockroaches was the final blow. I would not sleep there and asked for my money back for the full three nights I had been charged for by booking.com. All of the above. Plus grooups of long-term stayers were outside smoking constantly, so smoke was also probably coming in through the a/c system. Room was totally shabby and not clean, obviously. Photos on the internet present a totally false picture of the place. Even the luggage cart was greasy and completely wobbly.
I booked three weeks in advance so it's not as if they didn't have time to prepare me a room. Another short term guest was saying his room was equally dirty and shabby but couldn't find another place to stay.
I have yet to get my money back from Woodspring. I filed a complaint with booking.com and they have tried repeatedly to contact them by phone and email with no response.
- Sonja (1/5): I will NEVER suggest this place to anyone. - Pet friendly Everything else. The receptionist was the worst. Ride, couldn't speak English and refused to help me.
- James (6/5): Pleasant -
- Leeann (1/5): Had to pay for other accommodations and this room too. Extremely disappointing and expensive for me. - Could not stay in the room due to ROACH infestation. Non smoking room reeked of cigarette smoke. Very nasty place. Roaches climbing on the walls. Room smelled stinky with cigarette smoke
- Patrick (7/5): It was a good stay and I would definitely return - The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bathroom floor in room 307 needs repair. Right in front of the toilet there is a weak spot. I imagine it is rotten due to water leaks.
- Shelia (1/5): I couldn’t wait to get out of there.I actually was fearful of my safety - The property was sub par. If I hadn’t prepaid I would have left. The place smelled. The sheets were stained. I found someone’s socks left if the bathroom. It was horrible. Booking has done a horrible job of vetting this site. I won’t be using you again I explained above
- Rebekah (1/5): Bad -
- victor (10/5): - Affordable
- Melanie (9/5): Had a great time location was great room was perfect - I liked the privacy staff was very good
- Amy (10/5): Exceptional -

- Roberts (1/5): Bad -
- Elizabeth (8/5): Very good -

- Mary (1/5): Bad - The front desk was nice Line to check in, took a really long time
Had to have your companion come in to show their ID
No one there to check out
Lights didn’t work
No soap or anything in the bathroom

Top bed sheet had multiple stains
Barely any blankets
Small pillows
- Lewis (1/5): Bad -
- Rose (1/5): Bad -
- Littlejohn (1/5): Even though I had the reservation they said they didn't have it so I didn't get to stay - Nothing the experience was horrible Had to stand around for an hour for somebody to come into the office just to tell me they didn't have my reservation Had to stand around for an hour for somebody to come into the office just to tell me they didn't have my reservation
- Alicia (2/5): Very poor -
- Yates (8/5): Very good - I paid on Wednesday and paid for 7 days.work moved my assignment to another location. I checked out on Fri morning. Only got back 100 dollars+ my 100 dollar deposit. That don't seem right.
- Jason (2/5): - Check in time was 3pm we were unable to check-in until 7pm 4 hours later! After driving from 1am to 11 from NJ for my father's funeral....I was VERY TIRED and afterwards wanted to get in my room and sleep after everything was over....The staff was very nice and apologetic but again 7pm is ridiculous I'm sorry. The hotel smelled HORRIBLE room was too basic to have taken so long to clean bed uncomfortable. Overall a very bad hotel experience
- Boaz (3/5): Poor -
- Rebecca (6/5): - I love the fact that it had full kitchens you could cook in with full size refrigerators. It was like a mini apartment home away from home apart from the fact that it was super loud from other guest and the fact that it had cockroaches. And that when we went in, it was already dirty like the floor was swept. There was dirt everywhere like piles of dirt in the bathroom and stuff.
- Roseboro (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wilford (10/5): Exceptional -
- melissa (6/5): - My room didn't have a kitchen with a stove or anything and a pipe was sticking out of the wall that had a plastic grocery bag shoved in the end of it instead of being properly capped off. Was pet hair all over the carpets in the hallways and elevators. Sadly, this was a really nice hotel about 5 yrs ago…nie its gone to the dumps…it does have good safety features and nice people working there, but that's about the only good things about this place other than location being close to a lot of food options and grocery stores..
- Tameira (1/5): Bad -
- Pablo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Watts (1/5): Bad - Nothing
- Pamela (4/5): Disappointing - Location Nothing in the vending machines. No ice. Parking.
- Watts (10/5): Exceptional - Nothing Nothing
- Paul (2/5): - Broken blinds commode leaked noise traffic in parking lot seems unsafe activity going on
- Eddie (1/5): This was one of the worse I ever seen - There was no breakfast Bathroom was dirty bed was trash commode didn’t work
- Benton (9/5): Superb -
- Anna (7/5): Good -
- Wanda Y (4/5): A nightmare on Sue Lane - The photos are so different from actually being there in person. The toilet had no water in the tank so I had to use the small plastic vup to fill it up, after that it wirked fine as long as I shook the handle. I didn't feel safe as an older woman traveling alone, but all I needed was a place to lay my head. It was so uncomfortable, I woke up with a crook in my neck. The bathroom was not clean, the floors were not clean. I slept with my clothes on and I didn't get under the covers and the tv didn't work. What a nightmare. I will not be staying there again. The clerk was not nice at all.
- Walker (10/5): Wood spring...The awesome Sauce Hotel of Shelby !!!! - Everyone was so nice and helpful, the women in the office are amazing they went over and beyond in anything they did for us,room was clean, the security guard really did a good job,she really cared and watched out for us as we left the room and also I felt safe when I went outside, she takes her job very seriously,I love this place, I felt like they appreciated me and my business,They are Awesome Sauce!!!!! oh don't forget the nice young man in the office to he was very nice and helpful,I rate this a 5 star Hotel !!!! That I couldn't stay longer
- Andy (1/5): Bad -
- Smyth (5/5): Okay. - Location Had to pay a $25 deposit for a non smoking room.
TV didn't work.
Didn't know how to work the shower.
- Dylan (2/5): HORRIBLE!!! - Drunken parties and prostitutes. The worst hotel I have ever stayed at. That Wyndham would have their name attached is unbelievable
- Sonia (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (2/5): - This hotel was disgusting. Possibly the worst I have ever stayed. Our smoke free room smelled of smoke and our metal beds were like cots. Tub was nasty and trash barrel had used tampons left in them. No staff on site during the night . I’d rather stay in my car than do that again .. yuck
- Kawonzja (10/5): Exceptional - Clean & Peaceful .
- Megan (2/5): - room smelled like smoke- kids standing at front door vaping - dogs barking - we checked in and checked out within 20m

- Romuel (2/5): - I made reservations on Oct 4th for a 2 night stay. Drove almost 3 hours on Oct 6th to reach the hotel, only to be told that my room was rented out and I had nowhere to spend the night. I was finally able to book a room 45 mins away in Charlotte NC. I am very disappointed with the way I was treated. How can a reserved room be rented to someone else???
- Essie (10/5): Exceptional -
