Guest Reviews
- Amber (10/5): Excellent visit. - Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Our room was lovely and comfortable. The location was excellent. Breakfast was very tasty with lots of options. There was nothing we didn’t like!
- Wright (10/5): Excellent, would recommend to others - The location was absolutely brilliant. The breakfast & evening meal were amazing. The staff were very friendly. A brilliant weekend away. Having to leave.
- Barry (9/5): - Breakfast was excellent. Friendly, helpful staff. Great location.
- Lisa (10/5): -
- Janet (9/5): Every need catered for in a lovely hotel close to all amenities in the town. - Location was excellent with views of sea from our room. Food was exceptional, although we only ate one evening meal at the hotel because we wanted to explore the area, the meal we had was first class in every respect.
Staff exceptional too, our waitress was just perfect. We should have booked a first floor room instead of second floor, purely because we are older and less able to climb stairs, but in the grand scheme of things was not a problem !
- Julie (9/5): Fabulous stay. - Beautiful hotel and so clean.
- Michael (9/5): Very agreeable . - Very clean and comfortable . Car parking on site. No real dislikes.
- Denise (8/5): Short stay in very nice boutique hotel, lovely location in Sheringham, easy access to local facilities - Fabulous location, lovely quirky decor, very comfortable bed Would have preferred a free standing shower rather than over bath. Breakfast was lovely but finished serving quite early at 9.30?
- Wrenn (4/5): Disappointing.... - The first waitress was 'over-the -top loud an annoying. Our choice of menu was repeated loudly to the Kitchen, and the same with each of the guests. I had to complain about my breakfast twice. Still got it wrong . Fried egg was overdone Sauteed potatoes were hard and cold. It seemed quite mercenary! If I felt like a change of any item it would cost extra £2.50 outrageous. The price of £19 each is Questionable !! A peaceful quiet start to the day (Polite-yes) however loud welcome voice and constant ramblings -became too much. Breakfast should have been a 'springboard to your holiday .And not uncomfortable! The catering side to Burlington Berties is Quite separate to the Main business. The room was very cumfortable.
- Steven (7/5): Nice staff but pricey for what you get. - Very friendly staff, nice breakfast Room was quite small, overlooked another room's window. Quite expensive for an off-season break.
- Dave (10/5): Great base to explore this part of Norfolk. Highly recommended - Clean rooms. Great location. Good parking. Everything! Nothing
- Horne (8/5): -
- Bettina (10/5): -
- Richard (9/5): Great short break in Sheringham in early December - stylish and interesting narrow gateposts!
- Lindsay (10/5): - Beautiful room and excellent service. Very short walk to the beach and town
- Robert (8/5): A good relaxing few days. - The whole experience was better than expected. Bed was not up to our standards.good relax
- Richard (10/5): -
- Paul (10/5): 5 star - Excellent breakfast, really nice room with big double bed and sea view. Cannot fault cleanliness. All hotel staff and proprietors 5 star 👍. Will certainly book again! An absolute gem! Nothing
- Malcolm (9/5): Excellent - Food and service were exceptional. Staff were extremely helpful. Overall we found the hotel excellent and will use again when visiting Sheringham. We were a little disappointed with the early bar closure on Sunday as unable to walk very far due to disability.
- Judith (9/5): We would like to stay there again. - Room, location, restaurant, all good.
The hotel was very clean and very nicely decorated.
A lovely house. Some fruit at breakfast would have been welcome.
- Toni (10/5): -
- Katherine (7/5): - A traditional b&b
Great rooms
Comfortable I didn't feel welcome.
- Roy (8/5): A lovely hotel in a quiet location. - Quiet location near to waterfront. Hotel was spotless clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. A very comfortable bed. The room was a little small for the size of bed. The un-suite was on the compact side as well.
- Emma (10/5): - Lovely clean rooms with nice decor and the outside was well presented too. Friendly staff and excellent breakfasts. Good quiet location with a short walk into Sheringham centre. Would thoroughly recommend. Nothing!
- Paul (10/5): -
- Andy Lockwood (10/5): Best in Norfolk. - Sublime as always. First time staying again since the change of ownership - and if anything I think it's even better. Spotlessly clean, warm and welcoming. Comfortable beds, an actual bath which is luxurious, very attentive staff and beautiful food. What more does anyone need? Absolutely nothing to dislike.
- Kryshia (5/5): Far to expensive and no flexibility of owners knowing we all were attending a show locally and returning to hotel until - Clean and well appointed Too expensive and breakfast too expensive. Room very small. Twin and wanted double. No hairdryer and no tissues. All amenities closed down at 10 pm.
- Peter (9/5): -
- paul (9/5): Very enjoyable and would stay again. - Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast really delicious and lovely to have everything freshly cooked and locally sourced. Lovely touch with the BB motif on the crockery. Very interesting to have the history of the building in the welcome pack in the room.
- Mary (9/5): -
- deborah (6/5): Rather stay elsewhere - Location. Bed. Owners attitude for a simple request for a glass of ice
- Tim (10/5): Friendly hotel close to the sea - Lovely food and rooms
- Mark (10/5): -
- Eva (8/5): - Very relaxing stay at this upmarket boutique hotel. Extremely nice decor, good ambience and great food.
- Osborne (10/5): -
- Lindsey (10/5): - Very friendly staff, room was very clean & beds exceptionally comfortable.
We had a couple of meals in the restaurant, these were of the highest quality and thoroughly enjoyed!
The breakfasts were also high quality food served by pleasant staff.
It was a pleasure to stay there plus enjoyed meeting the 3 dogs!
Would definitely recommend & will look forward to a return visit.
- John (10/5): Great - Food excellent, staff very good
Location convenient
Room very clean All very good
- Patrick V (9/5): Sunny warm day. Ask a daft question !! - 3. All very good and enjoyable. No comment. No dislike
- jonathan (6/5): Underwhelmed but a pleasant stay - Great location and off street parking. Short 2 minute walk to the sea front and nice quiet area. Easy 5-10 minute stroll into town. House is nice and clean and nice furnishings. The breakfast was very good. Good choice of breakfasts. Quality ingredients and a nice airy dining/breakfast room. Bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The Drury Lane room we were in was ok. Bit smaller than I thought we would get. Walking around the foot of the bed is a bit tight and the bathroom only had a bath which wasn’t ideal. There is a shower riser but nowhere to mount it to have a shower. Baths just aren’t our thing so was disappointed that there was no shower for this money. We could hear people walking around above our room and the radio in the kitchen could be heard in the morning. Outside of the wi Dow I think was some storage and we could hear people milling about. Wasn’t overly noisy but as it’s a quiet place it was noticeable. I think the lady that met us was Sally? Maybe we caught her on an off day? We didn’t feel hugely welcoming and she felt a bit subdued. I know we all can’t be outwardly happy people. Also was quite stern In the dining room in the morning during breakfast? The waitress was very polite and bubbly and couldn’t do enough for us. We’ve stayed in some lovely places and although the hotel looks nice and well presented we wouldn’t choose to stay again. I’m sure others will love it. The dinner evening times are quite narrow which we didn’t realise and we returned to have evening dinner around 8pm and was told they only serve til 7:30pm? So we ended up walking into town and had a meal at the Thai restaurant. We really wanted to find somewhere we would return to again and again but sadly this isn’t the one. The lack of a warm welcome, no shower and the lack of an evening meal service was disappointing for us. I hope others enjoy their stay as on paper it looks a great hotel and should be.
- Terry (9/5): - room and breakfast excellent
- Sue (7/5): A very pleasant hotel with lovely gin 🤣 the room was comfortable and in a good location - Clean and beautiful rooms I asked twice for ice and they reassured me they would definitely bring it to our room but never turned up
- Kim (9/5): -
- Joanne (10/5): Clean, friendly and well situated for Sheringham. - Warm friendly staff, who couldn’t do enough to ensure we had a great time. The property was perfectly situated. Rooms were of a high spec .
Staff remember our names, so it felt nice. There was nothing I didn’t like.
- No name given (8/5): - Not being able to use the inside lounge as only outside available in the summer. Unaware of this when booked.
- Sarah (10/5): Excellent - Delicious breakfast. Very comfortable bed and room, spacious. Excellent location very short walk to beach, shops, restaurant, train station including North Norfolk Railway.
- Philip (9/5): -
- Susan (8/5): - Lovely boutique hotel close to beach and town.
Nice outside seating area with evening bar and food.
Excellent breakfast though pricey.
- Iliffe (8/5): - Room was comfortable and clean. There was a good selection for breakfast and what we chose was delicious. Staff were attentive during breakfast. Not sufficient room at the end of the bed to walk around without turning sideways. Tea ,etc weren't prepared for arrival. I had to go and ask for them to be replenished. Toilet make quite a noise when flushed. No one was available when we left, to return the key so we put the key on the counter.
- Zdanys (10/5): -
- Susan (10/5): Gorgeous boutique hotel - Lovely boutique hotel.
Lovely staff.
Lovely food.
Hope to go back very soon. There is a lovely garden where you can eat and have drinks. If you went with friends, it would be even better if there was a lounge to sit and chat and have an after dinner coffee.
- Jessica (9/5): Superb -
- Connie (9/5): Enjoyable stay in Sheringham. - Very attractive B&B. Very well run and organised. Dinner and breakfasts delicious. Nice to have access to the bar also. Fabulous location a stone’s throw from the beach and easy walk to the centre of Sheringham. Altogether, a very pleasant stay. Our particular twin room at the back didn’t have much of a view. The WiFi connection was poor in the room though I don’t think the hoteliers could help that. For that particular room, £160 per night was a little pricey.
- Jonathan (10/5): Brilliant - Everything was brilliant could not fault anything at all. Highly recommend.
- J R (6/5): Probably a very profitable business. - The facilities were of a decent standard and the food was good. Neither are worth what is charged, however, and at times I felt more like a transaction than a guest - indeed was ignored at times in favour of a larger party of four. Great service from the younger member of staff though. Lots of rules (which will no doubt be defended). Good location. Final tip: caveat emptor - you may be told at checkout that you could have spent £30 less per night and got free breakfast (rather than £17.50 each).
- Kent (10/5): Lovely Hotel.Best hotel that we have ever stayed in - Everything Nothing
- Angela (10/5): Exceptional - Friendly staff lovely boutique hotel very clean. Excellent food
- Haynes (10/5): A very relaxing and comfortable experience! - Our breakfasts and dinner were delicious.
The hotel was kept to a very high standard and staff were friendly and efficient.
The location near the beach and shops were perfect.
We were lucky with the weather so we were able to enjoy the garden area.
- Marion (9/5): Superb -
- Christopher (8/5): Very Comfortable - Good parking. Comfortable bedroom. Convenient location. Breakfast lacking options; no buffet. Rather pricey.
- Barbara (10/5): A lovely place to stay - Very welcoming, comfortable room, lovely garden bar and garden menu, excellent breakfast choices, perfect location in Sheringham, close to all amenities.
- Barry (10/5): Exceptional - excellent food great staff and very comfortable rooms we will definitely return nothing
- Jane (8/5): Had a weekend break here. Had a lovely stay. Room was comfortable and clean. Thoroughly enjoyed the food. It was of a hi - Lovely location clean and tidy room

- Heather (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sarah (8/5): Nice b and b - The location and the effort that has gone into the place . I room was quite small and I didn’t find the staff that warm .
- Carl (9/5): Superb - Good location close to beach
- Hazel (7/5): Was a very convenient stay - Breakfast was extremely good Was relatively basic for the cost, the room was very small & a tight squeeze to get round the bed.
- Deborah (10/5): Exceptional - Location
Breakfast
- Alan (9/5): Superb -
- Robert (10/5): Rob and Caroline Walker - The attention to detail, everything was thought about very carefully. A great place for a few days away. Nothing
- Craig (9/5): Superb -
- Lesley (10/5): Perfect in every way - Couldn’t fault it
- Sarah-ann (10/5): Exceptional -
- Louise (10/5): - We had a wondefful stay in this Boutique Hotel! We had an evening meal which was delicious. Breakfast was also very good. The Hotel is a short walk to the beach and town centre so a good location. The owners were very friendly and it was great to learn the history of the hotel. Would stay again.

- Tom (8/5): A hidden gem. - Top quality food. The staff were tremendous.
Lovely room, which was very clean, as were all areas of the hotel. It was a little strange for there to not be a physical bar area. Wouldn't put me off going back, though.
- Paul (9/5): Superb -
- Paula (9/5): gorgeous! - lovely stay in a beautiful hotel, enjoyed a lovely evening meal and breakfast with very attentive staff, would definitely recommend a stay here.
- Kate (10/5): An absolute gem - A lovely break away from the usual boring hotels. The place is bright, clean and homely. The staff were all exceptional and the location brilliant. A 4 min walk to the station for the Christmas lights steam trip and about the same to the seafront. The breakfast was the best ever according to my chef partner and I heartily agree. Lovely dinner too. Overall I’d give it six stars if I could. Nothing
- Gwen (10/5): Exceptional -

- Mark (9/5): Superb - Hotel is quiet and unique. Pleasant staff.
- Michael (9/5): Superb -
- Christine (10/5): - Great stay, well looked-after and tasty breakfast! What more could you want?
- Paul (10/5): A wonderful find. - The whole building was a delight, the log burner was welcoming. The Sunday lunch was excellent. The breakfast smells though welcoming were a little overpowering in the room. The internet connection to the TV in the room was a little problematic
- David (9/5): We enjoyed this boutique hotel in a great location - Everything about the hotel was ideal, the decor, the atmosphere, the food We returned late and the bar was clised
- Roy (10/5): Very enjoyable - Very comfortable room, excellent food, lovely people Nothing
- Charles (10/5): Midweek break - We recently had a short, midweek break which was most enjoyable. Whilst the hotel was quite quiet, the service was first class. Our room and the public areas are beautifully decorated and very clean.
The food, particularly the breakfasts, was excellent and highly recommended.
- Peter (9/5): Superb -
- Genia (10/5): A Spotless hotel with crisp linen and hearty breakfast. - Very friendly and welcoming staff. That we hadn’t booked for more nights!
- Ann (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dave (8/5): Enjoyed our 3 day stay in North Norfolk and in particular Sheringham .We will be happy to return . - The breakfasts was general very good but we would of like to had the choice of fresh fruit included on the menu .
The location to the sea ,high street and station was exceptional . The drinks lounge was closed at the time of our visit which would of been nice to visit as the evenings were darker relative to the time of our Stay .
- James (8/5): Very good - Staff and room
