Guest Reviews
- Mark (10/5): Lovely stay, everything you need lovely staff - Was really clean and close to the train station Reception closed at 3pm
- Ana (10/5): Experiencia unica - Todo. Se trata de un hotel con encanto, muy limpio, bien ubicado y el personal super amable. El desayuno podría ser más variado.
- Mariani (3/5): -
- Nigel (9/5): - So convenient for the festival we were attending Everything fine
- Haywood (6/5): Ok for an overnight stay - Noise from street below.
- mohamed (9/5): - Friendly staff, perfect location just opposite the situation. Spacious room with good bathroom. The bed was comfortable. The intercontinental was fine Not much I can think off but maybe better if the staff check regularly the shower battery befiore checking in guest as in my room it was giving low battery which was a bit worrying.
Was a bit noisy during the night but I already knew that given the location.
Maybe some towel hangers
- Helen (10/5): - A fantastic welcome from the young man when we arrived. Very welcoming young lady the next morning at breakfast. Lovely clean and cosy bathrooms.
- Susan (10/5): v affable & omnipresent manager went 110% to ensure super stay - SOOO convenient
- Rose Fox (9/5): Great value find next to the train station. - The hotel was great. Just a few steps from Notts train station, it is perfectly situated above the Starbucks. Staff were helpful, Luke was so welcoming and made us feel right at home. There is a bar for drinks and lots of choice of coffees. The room was comfortable, the bed was fine. Really good value for money needing somewhere to rest our head for the night for a concert. Continental breakfast the next day was great lots of choice. Nothing to report. Could do with somewhere to hang clothes in the room (a hook) however there might be reasons for no hooks in the rooms who knows!
There was an iron in the hallway of the top floor on the table above the stairs, I did panic every time I saw it thinking it could fall and clobber someone coming down the stairs (might be worth relocating before someone knocks it over!), but thats hardly a dislike :)
Thanks again for a wonderful stay.
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Perfect room spacious clean nice showerroom Every thing perfect
- Paul (1/5): - Didn't spend anytime there very disappointing Not clean the bed wasn't wat we expected
- Armando (8/5): Muito boa -
- Kenneth (8/5): - Lovely building, fantastic location. Great food.a d great value for money The only.quibble is the automatic bathroom light which takes about an hour to turn itself off
- Marianne (10/5): Nice, quaint, hotel in a good location. - The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. It was a quaint and lovely hotel in a good location for accessing everything in Nottingham. Room was a little small, but still comfortable. Not a ton of breakfast choices.
- Wolfram (9/5): -
- Aaron (7/5): -
- Anastasia (8/5): Enjoyable stay - Exceptional location - literally across the road from the station. Everything is close. Staff are really nice. Room was very spacious. Decent continental breakfast is a plus. I found an item of clothing from a previous guest behind the drawer - was surprised considering that the room was otherwise very clean.
- Doug (9/5): - Location/ view of horse track..
- Andrea (6/5): Decent place just needs a little love to match its excellent staff - Hotel is in a great location. Room cosy and decent decor, Bed comfy, duvet decent. Staff A1. Decent continental, though nothing special
Guy on reception excellent and made feel welcome and great at his job.
Blond lady working bar fab as well. Windows, too thin and noise from outside felt like it was in the room. Get city centre, but downstairs windows thicker and a lot quieter. Stayed in numerous City hotels and noise never been anywhere like it in Room 5 . Which is a shame as all rest good.
Breakfast experience. Had to eat in armchair so not comfy. Not offered hot alternative
- Jill (9/5): - The continental breakfast was good,. The staff were very helpful and the bed comfortable. The food and toiletries had been chosen with care, avoiding too many additives and preservatives etc. More hotels should follow suit. It could be improved by having a luggage rack/table to put suitcases on, and a shelf in the bathroom.
- John (10/5): Excellent value for money! - Nicely located hotel outside the train station. Pleasant facilities and warm/welcoming staff. Recommended!
- david (10/5): - Close to where we needed to get to. No car park at the hotel but 2 min walk to train station carpark so not to bad
- Ben (8/5): Great location with comfy room and friendly staff - Excellent location right next to the station, friendly and welcoming staff and comfortable room. Breakfast was good and all facilities were well kept.
- Hanif (8/5): Nottingham short break - Closeness to train station and city centre.
Room and bathroom very nice for one night stay.
Breakfast was simple but nice. No shampoo in shower.
- John (8/5): -
- Chi Ming Maurice (9/5): I will definitely stay with them again - Excellent location and value, very friendly staff and the room is very cozy!

- Ben (10/5): -
- Michael (6/5): Fine for my needs -
- Gabor (7/5): -
- Kris (10/5): Friendly and flexible staff - Great location, nice bar and friendly staff
- Rachel (7/5): Perfect location, lovely staff, just needs a few tweaks inside. - The staff were lovely - attentive, polite and considerate. The location was perfect. The linen was lovely and fresh. My room felt cosy. There was a loud humming noise all night and I could smell cigarettes quite strongly from elsewhere in the hotel. The bathroom light would not turn off without me disabling electricity completely by removing the key card. Breakfast was a bit disappointing as I thought there was a cooked breakfast such as eggs, beans etc.
- Oluwatoyin (10/5): Brilliant - I am truly happy about my experience. Considering the location just outside the station, I was concerned the noise might be overwhelming, but I hardly noticed it, which was a relief. The accessibility to all the places I wanted to visit was so convenient. Louise, the receptionist, was outstanding—attentive and warm. She genuinely made my stay with my daughter enjoyable and felt very welcoming.
The property was very clean. Loved the decor. Not overwhelmeing but just right. Even though my room came with a shared bathroom, I didn't really notice the difference. No inconvenience. The continental breakfast was just right. Will stay there again in a heartbeat. There was nothing I didn't like.

- Asma (10/5): - Convenient. Brilliant staff.

Staff really friendly.
Will definitely be back 😁
- Blaine (10/5): Perfect! - Everything! Nothing
- Gerasimova Bosky (10/5): Wonderful - Wonderful location, helpful staff, elegant rooms. Nothing.
- Nicole (10/5): I would highly recommend the hotel - Everything was amazing
All the staff went above and beyond it was my daughters birthday weekend so they decorated the room for us arriving Everything was very well presented
- MONICA (3/5): - Ubicación Había chinches. Tuve heridas en la piel durante dos semanas de las picaduras.
- John (2/5): Boutique hotel? - Broken shower doors and bathroom door handles
- Janice (9/5): -
- Rafael (8/5): -
- Luis (8/5): -
- Ella (3/5): -
- David (7/5): -
- jack (8/5): Pleasant stay in good location - staff were friendly, good location, ideal if travelling by train. Breakfast was included in the room but was only a small continental breakfast, we had to pay for a cooked one
- Louise (10/5): -
- yycyycyyc (8/5): Great Location by Station - Great location across the street from the railway station. Refurbished room -- soft carpet and fresh paint. Good continental breakfast. Bed was too hard for a good night's sleep. Not an issue for us, but note bedrooms are 2 flights up from ground level and no lift.
- Anna (10/5): -
- Emily (7/5): -
- Luke (10/5): -
- randle (9/5): Staff was excellent, lovely room. Will be back - Staff, closeness to train station,
- Gordon (10/5): Bentinck hotel amazing - Amazing old building, great breakfast and wonderful staff Location and service amazing. Short stay
- Helene (2/5): Avoid booking or, at the very least, have a breakfast somewhere else. - There was a bed, towels, the room was warm, when staff were around, they were pleasant enough. Safety was compromised due to wires being exposed in plug for bed side table lamp.
No light for the said table.
The blind did not work.
Meagre continental breakfast.
Dirty cup.
Tea was made so strong, it was undrinkable.
Waited 40 minutes for a croissant which did not arrive.
Breakfast was included but inadequate.
The experience was that someone decided to rent rooms out just because they were there. No soul.
Overall, well overpriced.
- Adrian (8/5): - Location was excellent staff friendly and helpful The windows could do with replacing with double glazed windows to provide a degree of soundproofing and curtain blinds need to be bigger/thicker
- Graham (3/5): -
- David (3/5): dissapointing - handy for station What was described as "Very good breakfast" was a basic continental. There was no mention that a cooked breakfast was an extra charge. Bathroom door handle was hanging off, TV remote only worked if you stood 1 inch away, couldn't turn off bathroom fan.
- Connor (10/5): -
- Natalie (8/5): Would recommend, nice and polite staff. Clean and nice facilities. - Location, friendly and clean Would have liked a bit more options for breakfast.
- Andy (8/5): -
- Slevin (10/5): - The staff.
- Charlotte (8/5): -
- Max (7/5): Nice small hotel near bus station and city centre. - The location was great, and the staff were very friendly. The hotel itself was nice and clean, and the bed was comfy. The breakfast could have had more variety, and the bathrooms could have been maintained a little better (there was a damaged, loose tile in one and there was no shampoo).
- Helen (5/5): Shared Bathroom Facilities, Not Suitable For Us, Unable to Stay - Unable to comment as didn't stay and changed hotel as we didn't realise it was a shared bathroom and not en-suite so not suitable for several reasons. As above.
- kenneth (10/5): - Very friendly staff, comfortable bed, good location
- Mick (8/5): Station straight to hotel - Expected cooked breakfast and found you had to pay for it. Toaster not work so why put it out. Needs double glazing much noise from outside
- Joy (9/5): Just a little reminder to make roomfacilities even better. A couple of hooks on wall or door to hang ones coat and shelv - Pleasant atmosphere in lovely old building
Really friendly staff - perfect location for travellers. Delicious cooked breakfast
- Sylvia (10/5): - We are resolved into the supreme air,
We are made one with what we touch and see
With our heart's blood, each crimson sun is fair
With our young lives each springimpassioned tree
Flames into green, the wildest beasts that range
The moor our kinsmen are, all life is one and all is change
And we two lovers shall not sit afar,
Critics of nature, but the joyous sea shall be our raiment
And the bearded Star shoot arrows at our pleasure
We shall be part of the mighty universal whole
And through all eons, mix and mingle with the kosmic soul.
- Joe (10/5): -
- Holly (9/5): -
- prewue (8/5): Hat uns gut gefallen. - Die Nähe zum Bahnhof und Innenstadt perfekt!
- Shaun (10/5): - It was very good
- Daniel (8/5): - The staff was first class - one of the best I have ever experienced.
The location is excellent: next to the train station and only about 50 metres from the East Midlands Airport bus stop.
The bed was quite comfortable and the shared bathroom was clean.
The staff member (sorry, I cannot remember her name) was extraordinarily helpful and friendly when dealing with my issue. The only issue was with the door of my room. The lock could not close properly. I noticed this only in the morning. As the area is not the safest, having a properly lockable door would be very important. I think the battery in the digital lock might have been low.
- Grundy (10/5): - Everything
A fab place to stay
- Elizabeth (9/5): - Lovely staff, comfortable room, good breakfast and handy location next to the railway station. Would have liked a softer pillow.
- Gary (10/5): - Loved the warm welcome upon arriving 7/2, room was spacious (was in the top floor shared bathroom with 2 1 beside eachother) Stairs there was 2 flights before reception and the bar area then anther 3 to the top floor other wise the hotel was brilliant.
- Tecnowomble (8/5): -
- Nobby (7/5): Hotel Bentick Hotel Nottingham - Close to railway Stated Breakfast but only toast asked said not doing it as no staff
- Barker (10/5): - Clean comfortable and good value for money The stairs only thing that did me i didjt realise there wasnt a lift other than that decent hotel
The lady on reception was lovely and very helpful.
- Katarzyna (8/5): - Location, hospitality
- Chris (10/5): -
- Stuart (6/5): Convenient for Nottingham train station - The room was clean but very small and the bathroom acceptable. There is no lift so if you have multiple/heavy suitcases - good luck. The room is very small - not enough room to have a chair in addition to the bed. The breakfast was OK but on one of the mornings no cooked breakfast as the kitchen fan was broken.
- Lorna (9/5): Very good accommodation for a very good price. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. - Right next to the railway station for convenience. Literally walked out of the station and fell into bed. A late check in was easily arranged even though it was a last minute booking. It was a little noisy being right next to the station but that was expected.
- Kelly (10/5): Will stay again - You cannot get closer to the train station, it’s so convenient for travellers. The staff were so lovely and friendly. I was allowed to leave luggage so I went back for lunch. The stairs haha! But that can’t be helped. It has a beautiful lounge area
- Hazel Ward (8/5): -
- Jenny (9/5): Ideally located, cosy bargain. - The location was perfect, literally right outside of the station. Check in was easy and the room was cosy, clean and comfortable.
We dealt with two different members of staff and they were both very polite and personable. We would definitely stay there again when in Nottingham. The only negative thing was the tv remote was missing, but we let the staff member know just so they didn't think we had taken it. They were apologetic and checked that everything else was ok and that we were happy.
- mertcan (8/5): - The woman with glasses at the reception was very kind. Toilet and shower being inside might have been better.
- Ingus (8/5): -
- Ben (8/5): A great pick for Nottingham city centre. I would happily stay there again - Great location, next to Nottingham station but still quiet. Staff were very friendly & helpful. My room was spacious & comfortable and I liked that it had character & charm ie not a boring corporate hotel room.
- Owen (9/5): -
- Greasby (9/5): - Great location. Seconds from train station. Easy walk into city centre and Nottingham Arena. Would certainly stay again if in Nottingham for boxing events.
- Shiast (10/5): -
- de jong (6/5): Helaas ook bij ruim voortijdig annuleren worden geen betalingen geretourneerd - Zijn niet geweest moesten ivm medische reden annuleren
- Donna (8/5): Comfortable, clean and friendly environment - It was a lovey property, literally directly opposite the train station which was great The room we stayed in we was woken up at 4.30am due to the Tesco express next door having a delivery. This isn’t a reflection in the hotel it was just outside noise. Pillows could be a little comfier but that’s jus me nit picking
- Evelin (10/5): -
- Ognen (9/5): Good hotel - Very warm room. Clean and tidy. Quite loud outside but it's right next to the train station so it's to be expected.
