The room lacked the design that one would expect at this price. The shower had pieces missing. Toilet had sometimes water running. Generally noisy. Roof terrace service was very bad.

• Helen (7/5): A convenient and reasonably priced stay with character - Historic charm, convenient location and neighborhood, friendly and helpful desk staff. The marble bathroom was very nice, with toiletries. The room was spacious, and made up for two beds, as requested. There were plenty of nice towels, and bathrobes. The room was hot, and we were told the heat had not been turned off all over the city of Milan yet, so there was no way to adjust the temperature. We opened the windows a little. There were no darkening curtains at the windows. There was a lot of noise from the rooftop terrace bar above, and from a room above. Housekeeping made the beds and brought toiletries, but for some reason did not vacuum or empty the bathroom trash.

The hotel is very charming and within walking distance to attractions, while not being directly in the hustle & bustle. Peyman (guest services associate) is phenomenal! He happily called around to make reservations and arrangements for us during our stay, shared excellent recommendations, and was incredibly friendly.

• CazBH (9/5): A central oasis in a beautiful city - Payman was absolutely the best host - very informative, very helpful and very welcoming. He recommended a fantastic restaurant and we had the absolute best meal of our trip. Local foods, beautiful wine and excellent service. The hotel is fantastically located - in stumbling distance of the cathedral and shopping areas, close enough to the castle to dander over and in close links to public transport. Rooms are large and well equipped and the roof terrace was a delight in the evening. A little oasis from the bars and restaurants below. I would stay again anytime Only downside was the rooms were overly warm - we were facing into the lift area so there wasn't much of a breeze. Air conditioning was set to a min temp (still too warm for us) but I think that's local law. Minor issue in an otherwise excellent stay.

The shower and toilet fittings were a little unusual but worked OK. The narrow cobbled street means that taxis often can't get to the entrance.

• Konstantinos (6/5): I wouldn’t recommend - Central location It’s an old place, so you kind of know what to expect. But somehow it feels outdated and a bit neglected. You also get the impression that it isn’t particularly clean. The heating was a major issue, since it couldn’t be adjusted in each room… it was central heating. The room was incredibly hot and there was no real way to control it. Overall, there were quite a few negatives for what is otherwise a rather expensive hotel.

• bethnM2794KY (10/5): Stay in historic property - What a treasure - a former farmacia with all the original fittings. More so, i stayed in their annex in a 14th century palazzo. The location is fabulous with the duomo 5 minutes walk and 10 minutes to the castello. However, this is a quiet local neighbourhood. This area was the site of the roman capital in 3rd century and part of the circus still exist. I travelled from Milano Centrale to the hotel by tram and then a short walk - easy even with luggage.

Absolute Empfehlung. - Das Hotel Santa Marta Suites ist liebevoll eingerichtet und liegt vor allem in extrem guter, aber relativ ruhiger Lage. Bis zur Hauptfußgängerzone sind es knapp 600 Meter, und von da aus bis zum Dom nicht weit. Die Einrichtung ist wunderschön, mit tollen Betten und eine einwandreine Service. Nebenan liegt direkt ein entspanntes Restaurant, in dem es auch ein (teures) Frühstück ala card gibt, sowie tagsüber auch eine recht gute Karte. Lage, Ausstattung und Service sind einfach TOP. Das Frühstück nebenan ist lediglich ala card und muss extra bezahlt werden.

• George Grigoriadis (8/5): A nice hotel, with big rooms, right next to the city center. - Mr Peyman at the reception was the highlight of our stay. Really helpful and accomodating on everything we needed. He is really an asset for this hotel. Otherwise the room was really spacious an clean, however i feel it needs a bit of renovation as some things were either dated or not working 100%. Location was excellent, breakfast really good and the overal atmosphere of the hotel was really welcoming. Would prefer it again. Rooms need a bit of rennovation

Das Hotel ist mitten in der Altstadt sehr gut gelegen, wunderschön und mit viel Liebe zum Detail ausgestattet. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, auch was lokale Tips (Restaurant, Sightseeing, etc.) betrifft.

Tempo di artesa per la consegna della camera oltre due ore dopo l'orario indicato, personale impreparato a gestire le situazioni, il servizio colazione è disponibile aolo dalle 07:30 e come se non bastasse la cuoca non è presente quindi al misero costo di € 15,00 a pesona, si può scelgliere solo un cornetto (decongelato) vuoto e un cappuccino perchè se ordini un lattemacchiato non si sa nemmeno cosa sia. Servizio pessimo sotto tutti i punti di vista.

Avevo una suite per 3 persone, ma tutto era a misura di 2: 2 bicchieri, due accappatoi, due paia di pantofole, ecc ecc.

We opted not to go for the breakfast, which is served in a room next door to the hotel. Our room was clean, well-designed, with state-of-the-art bathroom fixtures. Loved the statue right outside our window. Bed was comfortable. Concierge was great and keen to be helpful.

It was the perfect manifestation of warm hospitality and everything I require when I’m working - good food, quiet, coffee in the room, and a very strong WiFi for video meetings. I’ll be back, guaranteed. I had a regular room, so my window did not have a view. However the ‘pro’ to that was that I could open it on to the small courtyard and receive fresh air. The suites look out onto the quaint little street of Via Santa Marta. But it was just me, so the smaller room was all I needed.

Comfortable bed. Bathroom fully equipped. Bad cell signal. Lack of natural light in the room. Several times during the day, the water pipes in the bathroom smelled really bad. The “do not disturb” sign on the door was ignored twice.

• Marilyn (10/5): - We were very close to the Duomo. The location was very close to the Metro which we were also able to use to get to the Linate airport. This took about 40 minutes including the short walk to the metro and a line change. Very easy. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Room was very comfortable and clean. Staff was very helpful and friendly and spoke English. Breakfast was also delicious and included with the price.

• Ron (8/5): Unable to get a good night’s sleep due to no ability to control the temperature in the room. - Our visit was greatly enhanced by the kind attention given to us by Peymon. He did everything he could to help us enjoy our visit. One cannot control the temperature in one’s room. If someone requests heat then all rooms get heat. Consequently, we had a very hard time sleeping because it was so hot in our room and we couldn’t do anything about it.

• Mary (6/5): - Our shower head didn’t work and sprayed water all over the bathroom. When we complained to the woman at the front desk, she told us we were using it incorrectly. We later showed the gentleman working and he saw the water on the ceiling and agreed there was a problem. Never did they apologize or offer a different room or a discount. Also, breakfast is not included and they charged us at checkout. This was misleading.
