Our room was directly above the entrance and flagpole. With windows open for fresh air at night, the noise was a lot.

- JOHN (9/5): This is a quaint, cozy location at a reasonable price and a respite from technology. - The location to the beach and a wonderful coastal walk was excellent. The breakfast provided was much more than your standard Continental breakfast. Cooked offerings were available each day. This is an older hotel with outlier buildings. So, make sure you bring a small power bar which has usb outlets for your technology. The outside of our building needed some refreshing. The air conditioner is older and very noisy. We went at a time when the weather was moderate and stayed in the Garden Grove building. The main building doesn't have microwave ovens because it's not wired for them and has no usb outlets. Be ready to pay $9 per hour for parking at the beach and the Marginal Way. There is no view of the coast from its location.

- Mike (9/5): Good getaway - Location is great, it's a short walk to the ocean, you can walk the marginal path, bed was Very comfortable..staff was friendly..chuck is a very nice man, if you need info on restaurants around the area he will give it to you .and oh yeah when you walk in they have coffee and homemade chocolate chip cookies!!!

- Stephen (10/5): Very glad we picked this place among the many local options in the same price range. - Comfy bed, clean and modern bathroom, lovely living room-style lounge, very helpful and friendly staff, easy walk to the main stretch of stores and restaurants and to the scenic path overlooking the shore, plus they actually have chamber service daily, which is a rarity since COVID. No complaints at all.

This hotel is not for older people as the floors to get to your room are uneven, different there’s no elevator to get to the second floor. It’s a shame because the hotel is located in a prime location. I really wish they would make some improvements as I feel more people would attend your hotel. There are many hotels next to this hotel and they are in much better condition.

It was conventionally located with great walking access to the local shops and restaurants, as well as the beach. It’s an incredibly beautiful area. There’s plenty of parking and our shorebirds queen/queen room had lots of space. The beds were large and very comfortable. The shower was great with good pressure. All of the staff we dealt with were very nice and friendly. We also used the hot tub one morning which was the perfect end to our stay. Would highly recommend this inn for a coastal stay with friends or family.

- Kathleen (9/5): This was my 2nd stay there and I will return. - The location of the Inn is great. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Bathroom door needed wd40 or something to get rid of a loud squeak that would wake others if you got up in the night. (Room 607)

- Marsha (6/5): - The best thing about the Colonial Inn is the location. It's in the perfect spot for exploring Ogunquit, and you can walk anywhere (downtown, the beach and the Marginal Mile). And there are some good features about the property -- the continental breakfast is solid, and you can eat on the wraparound porch...and there's a nice fire pit. However, we stayed in a 2 queen room in one of the outer buildings, and it was basically a glorified motel room. It's clean. And functional. But that's about it -- which is fine, except when you book an "historic" inn, you expect a certain level of charm, which is very much lacking. It's an average place that seems entirely overpriced. So stay for the location...but not for any sense of Maine history.

- greg (10/5): - I liked the convenience plus the staff and the room There were some electrical issues that concerned me they had a microwave that burnt out on us i had to tell the front desk which they did a fine job replacing it i wish they would repair the electrical issue there was an extension cord for the refrigerator and the microwave instead of a standard plug ...otherwise we had a wonderful time. Just wish too the hot water was a little more hot!
