Guest Reviews
- koch (9/5): Very affordable - Excellent The swimming pool water was cold
- NaniFox1 (10/5): Tulip Trip - Room 133
Easy to find. Great location. Check in was a breeze. Both young people were very kind, helpful and polite. Room was spotless. Bed linens soft. Bathroom well stocked. Good towels. Must let water in shower RUN a long time to get above warm OR be the second one in the showet ; ) One thing I didn't like was the split bathroom. Sink outside where you can't use unless you wake everyone up. But thats just my preference.
Room was fairly dark and fairly quiet...but can hear neighbor noises/walking etc.
Free breakfast was only yogurt, cereals and bagels. A few fruits and hard boiled eggs. Juice milk coffee tea. Dining area very clean. Check out was just as easy.
We've never stayed at a Spark but it has the same quality as all other Hilton hotels.
- Don (8/5): - Breakfast was weak
- April (5/5): I wouldn’t stay here unless I had 2 - The price Guy at the front desk was shady. Window was barely hanging on. Shower head didn’t have pressure.
- Elias (9/5): -
- Charles (10/5): Quick and easy in and out stay! - We thought that the location was great. Close enough to the main highway, yet in a quiet location! Nothing
- Elaine (10/5): - The staff along with Booking.com were very accommodating. I booked the wrong day for my stay. Booking.com was able to change the day I was in Minot for my nights stay. Thank you ever so much!!! When I walked in I could smell the nice and refreshing odor. Our accommodations were great. Loved the layout of my room. I thought it was sweet, the TV showed welcome with my name displayed. Great idea!!! They served a healthy breakfast. I highly recommend Sparks by Hilton. You will not be disappointed!!! Actually, I cant say a bad word about Sparks by Hilton.
- Judy (9/5): Wonderful - Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable Bathroom small
- Deborah (10/5): It was just what I desperately needed, lots of rest!! - A very knowlegable Lady with shoulder length hair, greeted me, * when I chose roo on the main floor, so I could get lots of rest, she suggested the 3rdforistead, as t he2spirys means, tend to get noisy gig back/forth to the pool concurred. & she was absolutely correct!
Excellent sleep, great beds & pillows..
Great plgreat value. value!!! Nothing was amiss.
- David (7/5): Very nice for the price. - Cheap, clean, and close to the places we needed to go. Shower never really got hot water. The breakfast was very basic ( bagels, cereal, and yogurt, no fruit, pancakes, or eggs) which was fine but was it was not clearly stated when booking or checking in.
- Isabel (5/5): Very disappointed - A person higher than 5’5” its uncomfortable to use the bathroom. The air conditioning hard to set up, it was really hot at night. Honestly for being in a Hilton property it was nothing like what you expect for a Hilton experience 👎🏻
- Odyssey33311261417 (10/5): Fantastic bang for your buck No huge complaint at this bargain price, breakfast buffet is not very good though - Good deal all around just don’t expect too much from the breakfast buffet pool or gym which are kind of a joke but at this bargain price no point complaining
- NippaW (8/5): Great price, good breakfast - Good price. Rooms clean and beds/pillows comfortable. Desk and wifi for working was good. Basic breakfast 6-10am (instant oatmeal, bagels, muffins, cereal). Good location, with Krolls diner next door.
- Esther (3/5): - Nice people on staff. Bad food at minimal breakfast ,lukewarm coffee.
Nice
- Waklee (7/5): -
- Barrett (10/5): -
- Amanda (10/5): - Clean and quiet. Room was comfortable and we slept well. Breakfast was standard offerings and was fine overall. The ice machine was broken on the main floor and the 2nd floor ice machine was missing - thankfully we were able to get ice finally on the 3rd floor. I travelled with a companion and we both agreed we were mostly pleased with our stay and would probably stay here again.
- GFKelly (8/5): In Minot? Why not? - I was in Minot for business and this was one of two available Hilton properties. The Hampton Inn was nearly $300, so I chose Spark. It is clearly a refurbished budget hotel, and the rooms are small, but it was perfect for me. Updated modern television, loads of chargers in the room, and a comfy bed. Room was clean. You can tell effort has been put into the place. I’d go back.
- Brian (8/5): - Room was clean and staff very helpful.
- Miguel (8/5): -
- Andrea (10/5): - The remodelled hotel was very nice. The room was clean. Only negative was the hot water wasnt really hot.
- ?????? (10/5): - Amazing place, we stayed there for one night and it was awesome. Very clean and nice. Very good breakfast and stuff always smiling 😃 strongly recommend.
- randy (8/5): - None
- Leanne (10/5): - Enjoyed our stay! Very clean and easy access to all shopping
- Jeffrey (8/5): - I travel to Minot frequently in the fall and winter.
It was a very nice stay.
Breakfasts were good and it was very clean and neat.
The beds are comfortable, but not great.
It did have some noise, but overall, it was quiet at night.
It’s not really within walking distance of anything, but it is one of the nicer hotels I’ve stayed at when I am in Minot.
- Andrea (6/5): - Noisy early morning noise.. started about 3:30-4am and continued all morning… checkout was easy.
- Dan (10/5): - Nice hotel! Met our needs in every way. Thanks!
- Beau (10/5): - Nice, clean and convenient for us while traveling through
- Brenda (10/5): - Very modern and updated facility. Comfortable beds and pillows. And both room and breakfast area, reception and hallways were very clean
- Bethany (10/5): - Really enjoyed our stay here. Will stay again when we come to Minot!
- elizabeth (8/5): - We had a great stay there but their pool area is very small and the hot water didn't work the weekend that we were there. Other than that it was clean and the staff was friendly
- Brian (10/5): - Friendly staff. Clean.
- NishTraveller (10/5): Inexpensive but not cheap. Spotless room, good service. A bargain - stay here. - Was a bit hesitant based on reviews but since the Number 1 Hampton was booked we decided to try it out. For $100 a night it is an absolute winner. Spotless room, comfy beds. Didn’t try the pool but it was also clean. Breakfast was very simple but what do you expect for such a low price. Yes, they take a damage deposit but you get it back after a couple days. Yes, the room is small. But if you are looking for an inexpensive, clean room close to everything - this is it.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very nice hotel - Very nice hotel - newly remodeled
- Scott (10/5): Clean and Comfortable - Convenient location, nice pool and clean, comfortable beds and showers. It was a nice stay, but the breakfast buffet was lacking compared to other Hilton locations. Fortunately, there is a very good diner across the street.
- Michel (10/5): - Beautiful place, very quiet
- Jaden (10/5): - N/A
- Heather (10/5): Quiet and bright. - Room was comfortable, spacious and bright. The location is great as it is close to shopping and great restaurants. Breakfast was great. Sadly the pool has no hot tub. The girl at the front desk was so polite and helpful.
- Gail (10/5): - Our stay was great, staff friendly & helpful!
Room on level one was easy & convenient.
Sofa bed was never used it still had packing on it, which was fine one we received bedding to make it up.
Good night stay!
Clean & new!
- Nita (10/5): - In room coffee or microwave?
- Amanda (10/5): - Friendly staff, clean rooms, and conveniently located off hwy 2.
- nicole (6/5): - Arrived to lobby with a ton of people talking at maximum volume after 9pm at night. It was so loud communicating with the front desk to check in was a challenge. Limited parking meant i had to park behind the hotel. Room seemed nice but when i went into the cramped bathroom i saw hair and dirt in the tub. Went down for breakfast and was very disappointed. Not even a continental breakfast. Couldnt find milk for the cereal, had to ask someone and when i found it it was fairly empty. Heard someone ask for more and then they gave up when it didnt happen. They had a bunch of jelly, butter, peanut butter but dont serve bread (i asked) so no toast...not sure what all the spreads are for then. Pretty disappointed for the price.
- Antonio (10/5): - Very clean, feels new. Staff was very helpful. Spacious rooms.
- Dhruv (10/5): - Great property to stay with family. Breakfast options were good and highly accessible property. Would recommend for families.
- Charlotte (10/5): - It is a nice place to stay. The staff were very friendly. Hospitality at its finest. Not fancy, but I would certainly stay here again.
- Devon (10/5): - Nice clean renovated hotel. Front counter staff were friendly and attentive. Late check in was a major bonus as well! Kroll’s diner across the street is a great option for some American/German comfort food!
- Renee (10/5): - Clean and quiet room, friendly staff, and great breakfast.
- Caleb (8/5): Pleasant 2 night fam stay - Rm 210 middle of floor west facing 2 queen
Stayed 2 nights w/ service dog. Good AC hvac system. Recently renovated facility w 1 elevator.Nice modern decor w no discernible odor.Side doors are exit only. Very average breakfast w no hot items except coffee. But had fresh apples and bananas. Decent family trip might stay again if cleaning standards are maintained.
- Michelle (10/5): -
- BARBARA (10/5): - Price was the reason for selecting the Spark. While the breakfast area was immaculate, the continental breakfast options were minimal.
- Steven (10/5): - Nice clean and quiet hotel, did not have a hot tub or sauna. Easy to get to, close to a Krolls diner.
- Dawn (8/5): - Didn’t realize the extra garbage can was way across the room until we were getting ready to leave
- Beverley (6/5): - It was okay
- Aleana (10/5): - It’s good
- K1133VUjustind (2/5): Not impressed - No hot water, they have been working on it for hours and still can’t figure it out. Nothing like paying $200 a night and my family taking ice cold showers. A partial refund would be nice.
- ******* (10/5): - Great place
- Shiv (8/5): - I like the cleanliness. Very clean. Coffee was good. Breakfast was good too. Insides pool does not have a washroom. No microwave in room incase you want to warm up your food from restaurant.
- Kim (10/5): - Very clean facility. Would be over the top great if they had some hot breakfast options like scrambled eggs and waffles.
- Shipman (1/5): - No water in the hotel, didn't get refund when asked to be moved to a different property.
- Kyle (8/5): - It was good, the pool was cold but everything was clean
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Great nights rest and recharge with the pool. Clean and sleep well. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was simple but the bagels were fresh and great start to the day.
- Kerri (6/5): - The exterior of the property was littered with garbage and cigarette butts.
The rooms were clean .
The breakfast was a complete disappointment. Only bagels, cereal and fruit.
- bernicet630 (6/5): Decent stay for the cost - When it was Sierra Inn, there were chairs in the lovely gazebo outside which we really enjoyed. Spark removed them. They put a big wood box in the closet (not removable) so you can't hang more than 3 or so shirts. Otherwise, it was clean, a fairly decent continental breakfast, but no microwave in the room. I will return, but keeping in mind I can't hang many clothes in the closet.
- Ernie (10/5): - It was freshly redone, and even though we weren't expecting our room to be cleaned one day we went out and came back to it all cleaned up. The only downfall for me was that the room doesn't have a microwave. A great stay, very friendly staff!
- Cassidy (10/5): - Late check in!
- Cassidy (10/5): - NA
- Theodore (8/5): - Good location
- Teresa (9/5): Superb - Close to family.
- Abbey (10/5): - Front desk staff was so kind and the property was very clean
- Kathleen (2/5): - Tried to cancel
- Rhonda (10/5): - Nice property. We had a reservation at another hotel to find out that it was closed due to fire. Rebooked here and really enjoyed the stay.
- George (10/5): - I would stay there again
- Rodney (10/5): - This property has recently been remodeled and re-named. It is still a great place to stay. They had quick check-in a quiet room and a continental breakfast.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - No coffee pots In Room. Bfst was pretty much muffins
- Carol (5/5): Passable -
- Marden (8/5): - Was lovely
- Wade (10/5): - All good.
- Mardon (6/5): - Pros: Comfortable beds, soft absorbent towels, quiet, A/C works
Cons: Continental breakfast only (no hot breakfast), no microwave in room, fridge did not seal properly so did not stay cold, flip locking door mechanism did not work.
- Levi (8/5): Very good -
- Darcie (8/5): Very good -
- Patricia (6/5): - Very clean! I perfer the sink inside the bathroom. Not much space to get in the bathroom and close the door.
- Lori (8/5): - We enjoy staying here. Quiet and very clean!
- randy (8/5): - Used to stay there when it was Sierra. Breakfast is even lesser now. So it’s sucks but price of room reflects that which is reasonable. Krolls diner is our go to which is right beside. Definitely Hilton has spruced the place up which was needed.
- Vikas (7/5): Overall good - It was clean Breakfast was limited. That was a surprise
- Dustin (10/5): - .
- Kgibson911 (6/5): Excessive incidental fee - The Hotel was clean and modern, but the breakfast was sparse. Kroll's diner is across the street from the hotel. The only issue I had with this hotel was the incidentals fee. The room was $98, but the hotel held $100 for incidentals. When I questioned the incidental amount, I was told this was the charge for everyone who stayed at the hotel. I travel frequently for work, and as a Diamond member, this is the most I have had a hotel hold. Usually, Hilton properties hold between $25 and $50. Most Hilton Properties that hold $50 have restaurants and a bar.
- Gregory (10/5): - Nice room, good experience.
- Joell (7/5): Good - Breakfast was very small
- Lori (10/5): - Property was nice
- Dunbar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dylan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chad (8/5): - Very disappointing breakfast
- Roxanne (8/5): - Room did not have a microwave.
- amorace (10/5): Clean nice, and limited breakfast. No issues as all - Super Clean and Nice. Like some complaints about breakfast it is valid. There is nothing there if you are anticipating a hot breakfast like many other hotels offer. This one had some fruit, cereal, juice, bagels and yogurt. coffee as well. no issues for me, I am not looking for a full hot breakfast in the morning. Price was right for what you are getting. Remember when booking it is a budget hotel by Hilton, but overall things were fantastic including the TV and internet. I will choose this hotel again when I am in town.
- Les (8/5): Very good -
- Dale (8/5): A few things could be improved… - The breakfast consists of a bagel or cereal; no hot food. The fitness center is a single treadmill machine. Otherwise, the room was very clean and housekeeping came in & out discreetly.
- cheri (10/5): - Will be back!!
- Perry (8/5): - Breakfast should be better
- Mark (10/5): Enjoyable stay. - Good location. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good. Newly remodeled. Nothing.
- Turman (10/5): Exceptional - I love the location
