Guest Reviews
- Maciel (8/5): Good for early flights! - Adequate place for an overnight stay for an early morning connection flight.
Having said that, I highly recommend to use the transportation service provided by the hotel. The area around the hotel definitely doesn't inspire safety.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Cleaning staff is excellent. My room was always clean and orderly. Front staff did not do their job waking me resulting in a “no show” when my tour guide tried to pick me up. They did not wake me because the day before I refused to book a tour through the hotel because their tour guide is incompetent. I demand Polo Cusco suites a reimbursement for my missed trip of $47.50.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Hotel sent a driver to pick us up at the airport, 15 min drive away. Stayed here because wanted somewhere close to the airport to sleep. We arrived at 10:30pm and had a flight out to Cusco the next morning at 10am. The property is older, but maintained well and pretty quiet. The neighborhood is so so, no reason to stay here unless you are transitioning, not near anything of interest. Breakfast was ok, small but eggs to order. They charged us $20 roundtrip to airport and back. Not a great price, but it was convenient. Nice staff, very little English.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great staff!
We stayed at the hotel for a night. This is a great place if you’re only concern is to get a good nights sleep and head to the airport the next day. When we arrived, the neighborhood seemed a little sketchy, but we were warmly greeted by reception. Even came out to help us with our luggage. Room was good. Functioning hot water, clean bed, working a/c and free wifi In the room. Unfortunately, we left too early to get the free breakfast. Again, I would recommend this place, if you’re not bouje. Shuttle to and from airport is available, just double check on the rate. Overall, if I needed id stay there again. It’s great for what you pay.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Used hotel to overnight for a connecting flight to Santiago the following morning. Hotel is about ten minutes from the airport. Street in front of the hotel is very busy beginning around 6AM so it is best to request a room in the back if noise is an issue.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We were picked up at the airport as promised. Large vehicle to accommodate 4 people and luggage. Friendly driver.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The staff was amazing! They are kind and informative. They made me feel safe and welcome. I arrived to Lima like at 2AM due to my flight being delayed , I requested a pick up and the staff was there when I arrived. I only spend a night in the hotel, and that was enough to love this place. It was stress free.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great service & hospitality!! They were very helpful and attentive.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Is the only hotel close to the airport for a decent price. The pick up service is outstanding. Hotel is clean in this service is very good. The breakfast for simple but good. I have heard complaints about the cost of the return service to the airport, but if you consider the free pick up as a cost, both the pick up and the return is a good price. I read that the bottom sheet was made out of plastic and that is not true. However it was very stiff and uncomfortable. I am not sure if it’s because they use to much starch or poor quality sheets. Like even more expensive hotels in Lima, if the sun the didn’t come out, you’ll be without hot water.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The personalized attention was great. I truly enjoyed my time in Lima at the Inca Royal Hotel Ana Spa
- Candace (8/5): Pleasant Surprise - Great host and amazing amenities. Sauna and eucalyptus steam room.
- IncaHiker (10/5): - The airport pickup was great. Hotel has Restaurant, Sauna and Massage services in house.
The hotel has a taxi service in house. The driver was friendly and helpful. We used his Taxi services for going around the city. On our way back from Miraflores, we went shopping and asked the driver to take the kids to Hotel. He was reliable.
- leon (8/5): Good to connect to an early flight. - Though the neighborhood is questionable, the hotel is very secure. Perfect for a connecting flight at the nearby airport, thus avoiding the terrible airport traffic.
- Kadie (10/5): - We stayed in this hotel for 24 hours during our layover. The staff was very nice and accommodating. We were taken to Plaza Norte and back by transportation provided by the hotel. We also got massages (also right in the hotel) for 30 soles per person. The ride back to the airport cost us 32 soles.
Yes, the area around the hotel is not very pleasant, there is a lot of trash, but I felt safe walking at 8 pm in the dark to Totus supermarket 10 mins away.
The room was clean with spacious bed, clean sheets, large bathroom and hot water.
Overall, it serves the purpose of staying there when you have a layover and don’t want to pay $170+ for a night at the hotel located right at the airport.
- Fernando (8/5): For long stopovers - I stayed in royal Inca hotel due to my flight was delayed 12 hours so a needed a place to sleep. The price is fair for what you get. The hotel is near the airport and they offer transportation that is quite competitive with taxis/Uber prices. The staff is friendly, actually they picked me up at midnight and the check in process was quick. The rooms are simple, but if you want a place to stay a couple of hours while waiting for your flights, and cheap, this is your place.
Mycket bra service
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Serves our purpose of having a place to stay for a 12 hour layover from lima to atlanta. The driver who is the son in law of the owner even drove us to a mall and picked us up on time.
- Betty (8/5): - We arrived late 1:00 am. The hotel picked us up at the airport with our names on a sign, which is very nice. The room is small and no shampoo. However, it is clean and the hot water is nice. You can have breakfast for 5 sol per person
- Karl (6/5): - Spacious room but upstairs. Tranaport from airport fine. However serious problems with wifi in room and not a lot around the hotel. Good selection of tv channels.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great for lay over for flight. You pay for what you get. Contact hotel & they’ll be there to pick you up name on card. Close to airport 10 minutes. When you arrive you may be a little concerned but rooms clean & comfortable. Breakfast free and adequate included in room price.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Clean room. Hot water. Great people. No elevator. Typical breakfast. Eggs and fresh bun. Close to airport. I would recommend it for quick, cheap layover .
- Linh (6/5): - It. was good to have staff to pick up airpot when. I first arrived at Lima
I was unfamiliar at the airport and the city
- Verified traveler (8/5): - This is a plain vanilla hotel. I arrived early early in the morning and departed a few hours later. It was perfect for a quick nap and a shower. There is a modest breakfast available in the morning. Pick up from the airport was seamless. For $10, I was driven back to the airport a few hours later. Excellent deal.
- Juan (10/5): - Super close to the airport. I would recommen this hotel if you have a few hours to take a shower, and some quick sleep before catching another flight. Can be a bit noisy from traffic, but nothing the hotel can do about it. Nice pressure in shower and plenty hot water. Communication and service was outstanding.
- thomas (10/5): Good value - Nice clean room with comfortable bed and friendly and helpful service in English. The surrounding area is a little bit rough, but good priced room near the airport is what we got.
- Peter (10/5): Convenient and accomodating considering I was - I flew in to Lima from Iquitos and had to fly out early the following morning. This Hotel was very convenient and accommodating. I was picked up from the Airport and promptly returned the following morning to catch an early flight out. The desk reception was friendly and nice. Wonderful view from restaurant and a very interesting location, nice neighborhood w/ restaurants nearby.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Staff member very helpful! I would certainly recommend this hotel to other visitors to Lima, Peru.
- Melissa (6/5): - Safe once you get in the front door. Comfortable room and bed. No hot water. Nice receptionist though, who was very helpful.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Ideally located for airport transfers - Very close to the airport in Lima and with a reliable shuttle service. The price of the hotel included collection at the airport, very handy as I arrived at 01:20 am. It perfectly helped my transition to Lima. The staff were very helpful throughout.
- Vicki (8/5): - Easy to book. Wonderful and helpful staff on arrival. Room was basic but clean.
- Atgc1 (4/5): Basic hotel no hot water, - Basic hotel no hot water, the area is close to the airport but a little eerie at night. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Dirty smell - We stayed at this hotel as a last minute booking after missing our plane to Cusco. The hotel is not too far from the airport, I believe its about 2 miles. When we arrived the bar gate was closed. After knocking and yelling for 5 minutes a young man finally came to open the door. He was expecting us already but was not very friendly. The room smelled like they had mopped it with a dirty mop. The bed was big and the bath tub as well but the smell was very strong. We were exhausted from our long trip we just went to bed and dealt with it. We had to catch a plane early in the morning. My husband also mentioned that in the middle of the night someone was going around checking doors....I have never been in a hotel where they go around checking them. It was sketchy. I wouldn't stay here again.
- dave (4/5): One night stay before Cuzco - Close to airport but area not a good to stay...No elevator and 3 stories to carry bags...
- Maricel (10/5): Nice and clean - It was nice stay except they can't speak and understand English but hotel staff very nice and helpful they're trying they're best to communicate they're guest by typing on computer so they can translate English and Spanish but like I said very friendly people and close to airport
- Robert A. (2/5): - My stay , "SUCKED", The elevator was broken, no air condition (as was offered), the bed had Bugs in it and the location resembled a , "War Torn" place to live ! The room was tiny, although the bathroom was good, but cant sleep in a bathtub. The bed was made , but needs a new matterss (at least) !! Breakfast was free, but offered very little. I wouldn't walk out at Night for fear of being Murdered ! The Hot Water was Hot in the shower , but there was only one towel. Taking your life in your hands to stay there. The staff were nice and healpful, but it was a disaster ! I DEMAND a REFUND please !
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The only pro I found at this hotel was the air conditioning and the fact that they had room service. Hotel is not in a very good location and is not close to any tourist sights. The view out my hotel window was the view of the next door hotel room. Had to keep windows shut the whole time for privacy from my neighbor. I used their taxi service to get to the airport and my driver did not want to drive me to the airport door. He wanted to drop me off on the street outside of the airport. For a first timer to Lima I would not recommend staying at this hotel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Friendly clean quiet and comfortable - Great stay. Was sick and the owner was very nice and the facilities were great. Highly recommended
- andrea (2/5): Was robbed while I slept! - I do not recommend that you stay at this hotel there is no lock from within the room so while you sleep anybody can come inside. I stayed one night in the hotel. A wallet containing $350 US and a pack of cigarettes which was left on the nightstand closest to the door was taken from our room. I dread to think what else would've been taken had it been within arms reach.
- JESTO (6/5): Convenient transit Hotel - Hotel is located near to busy street and is a small hotel. There is nothing much to see around. there is a big grocery store after two blocks which is convenient. there is no elevator in the hotel and all the rooms are upper floors, so have to carry your luggage through stairs. Nice staff and service and they always willing to help and only Spanish speakers in the reception. FYI, airport shuttle is complementary for one way and 10 USD for return, which is OK.
We stayed here as a transit hotel one night on the way to Cusco. If you considering as a transit hotel, it is a good choice with breakfast provided.
- Evelyn (6/5): Convenience - We had a late flight in to Lima and an early flight out to Cusco. It served it's purpose. Just a quick stop over hotel about 15 min from the airport. Walls are thin as paper. You hear absolutely everything. The place was clean. Nothing in the area open at night. It's on a main road and the area looks sketchy. The young woman at the door was really nice. She helped us in with the bags and was very helpful.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Super nice hotel staff but no hot water - After an eight-hour bus ride and before a 24-hour trip back we would have appreciated a hot shower in the morning. We notified staff at 6:30 AM but by check-out time nothing was done.
I was hoping to be able to recommend Royal Inca to customers but decided against it.
- Verified traveler (6/5): OK for one night. Reasonably close to the airport - Comfortable enough for one night. On a busy road in a poor area of the city.
- Jeff (6/5): Not like the description - We used this for a layover in Lima. The manager was super, helping us change dates, etc. But the hotel did not seem to be in an area where we would want to walk around to find restaurants or shops. Not the best area in town. But it was ok for location to the airport and for the purposes of a few hours sleep.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Ok, for the price, but so nice neighborhood. Room are very humid.
- Alan (2/5): Avoid this place - Street noise all night. Construction going on at hotel. I was 2 hours late checking out and was charged an extra 75 percent of the room rate after I was assured there would be no late check out charge. Very unhappy disagreeable help. Breakfast Spartan. Close to airport but neighborhood did not appear safe. Do yourself a favor and avoid this disaster.
- Ken (8/5): Close to airport. - Hotel remote from city but staff will call a taxi if asked. Located in industrial area on main road.
- Laurel (4/5): Lima Letdown - I was in Lima for one night. The Royal Inca was not as advertised. The staff was very nice, but the area and the room were not. The hotel was in a lousy area and the room was extremely small. The shower door came off in my hand as I shut it. The bed was smaller than expected. There was a nice breakfast. The hotel arranged transport as stated in the ad. Overall, it was a frightening experience for a single woman.
- Verified traveler (6/5): In a bad neighbourhood - The hotel itself was okay. We paid more for our room then our friends and theirs was much bigger and nicer. It is in a bad neighbourhood where you don't even want to leave and explore.
- Jared (10/5): Great Stay Near the Airport - Pros: the hotel is clean, comfortable, and the staff is excellent. I would absolutely stay here again and I would recommend it to anyone that needs to stay near the airport (you're about 10 min away). Cons: the neighborhood isn't great; you're near the airport in a light industrial (warehouses) district. Don't let that stop you, but just be aware.
- Jason (8/5): Not bad - Not a bad deal for a layover hotel. A lot of street noise if I had brought ear plugs it would have been perfect.
- Roger (6/5): Close to the airport - I stayed in this hotel only because it was close to the airport, they had a taxi pick me up at the airport and take me straight to the hotel. The neighborhood, the hotel, in the rooms are quite ugly. The staff is very nice.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Meh - This is a very bare bones hotel. We just needed a place to stay close to the airport for the night before flying out the next morning. We were picked up at the airport by Noemi which was great. The room itself was interesting. I couldn't take a shower because the water pressure was too hard. Think, Seinfeld, when they try to get new showerheads and Kramer ends up with the megablast one. The electricity outlets were behind the beds so we had to pull the beds out to plug in. The worst part of the hotel is the rip-off cab ride that you need to take back to the airport. They charge $10 or 30 soles for a 10-minute ride. To put it in perspective, it is 50 soles to go to the airport from Miraflores. It seems like the only option because how else would you get a cab in this part of Lima? This might be one of the best options close to Lima airport but that's not saying much.
- Helen (6/5): OK as an airport hotel - Stayed the night before we had to be at the airport. Taxi to the airport was about 30 soles and took about ten minutes. I'd recommend it for an overnight airport stay as the staff were helpful, the room was ok and clean. I wouldn't recommend for anything more than an airport stay though, the neighbourhood didn't seem the best.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Best to avoid - The airport pickup means that you will have to walk outside the airport premises with luggage. Also, the taxis called by the hotel were always very late and overcharged severely and they refused to call the taxi service of our choice. Finally, the floors were very sticky and there was no hot water. We will not be staying here again.
- Peter (4/5): Water issue - The hotel is close to the airport but on a busy road and a noisy area. There was also no cold water in the bathroom so the shower was too hot to stand under.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great overnight stay near the airport - I booked this via Expedia and they contacted me about my flight information.
They were there waiting for me when I came out of baggage claim with no issues.
The room was sparse but clean and served its purpose. I am not sure if its a time of day issue with others in regards to hot water but I had plenty. I took my shower at night and took a long, hot steamy shower.
I had some allergies when I left Iquitos and the plane ride managed to turn it into a full sinus infection by the time i got off the plane.
By midnight, I still couldnt hear out of my right ear and was only going downhill.
A member of the hotel staff actually drove me to a 24 hr pharmacy so I could get some serious medication for this!
He personally took me, no cab involved. This was great especially as the neighborhood there is rough!
By morning I was almost human again.
What hotel does this?
They were great.
There is a spa there but I wasn't able to use it as I was ill. I wish I had.
They are willing to assist you with anything you need while there. They answered all my questions as best they could, arranged for a cab to take me to Miraflores.
I did eat dinner in the restaurant on the 5th floor. I had the grilled fish and it was excellent! Was fresh and clean, not some greasy slop on a plate.
My flight didn't leave til 1am so I booked 2 nights and relaxed until it was time to leave for the airport.
Others have said this, the airport is a rough area. Not touristy
- Matt (6/5): Basic diamond in the rough - A diamond budget place near the airport in a rough looking neighborhood. Basic but very clean, great airport pick up service, great tasting food at upstairs restaurant. Nice staff.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Royal Inca in Lima - Only a 12 huor overnight stay to catch a flight.
Free pick up at airport was there on arrival, car was a bit dodgy but we got there.
Meal that night was very nice
Service booking a taxi for the next morning was good.
We had no hot water and when reception was contacted they did nothing. This was disappointing as we were on a long flight the next day and would have loved to start fresh and clean with a shower.
- Dani (8/5): Nice hotel near the airport - My husband and I stayed at the Royal Inca Hotel during a 12 hour layover in Lima. Noemi was great. She picked us up directly from the airport, was very friendly, had great suggestions for places to visit in Peru and coordinated our trip back to the airport. The room conditions were okay, considering the price. It's not in a great location for touring, but was perfect for a layover. If you stay here, you absolutely have to eat at the restaurant at the top (5th floor) of the hotel. The food was amazing! One of the best places we ate in Peru.
- David (8/5): Perfect hotel for early morning flight - My girlfriend and I stayed in this hotel twice during our trip to Peru. Both times, we were greeted at the airport immediately as we walked off the plan by a staff member with our names written on a sign, and within less than 15 minutes we were at the hotel (the hotel pays for the taxi!). There wouldn't be a lot to do in the neighborhood around the hotel, but the hotel itself is very safe and is a perfect place to crash after a late arrival or before and early morning flight. Highly recommend for this purpose.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Thought it would be better - Three positive things, in order: complementary airport pick up; the hostess is very pleasant; the breakfast was ample.
- Robert (6/5): ROYAL INCA HOTEL - I Had a one night stay at this hotel. Overall, it was OK. The free breakfast is on the 5th floor, and there is no elevator. Otherwise, it was a pleasant stay.
- Dawn (10/5): Close to Lima Airport and pleasant hotel - I just needed to stay in Lima for one night before flying back home, so chose this hotel for it's closeness and it seemed very good value.
I was picked up at Lima airport (included in the room price) which as a woman travelling alone was reassuring.
There is a small restaurant, so I could eat there and did not need to leave the hotel (that is what I wanted).
They booked a taxi for me to the airport the next morning (not included in the price), but it was the same taxi driver as the night before so I felt safe.
It was noisy, but that was not a surprise if you want a hotel near the airport.
The room fairly basic but was clean and comfortable and perfect for my needs.
The only negative thing I would say it that the water was not hot enough for me when I showered.
Best of all, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful without exception. For that reason alone I would recommend this hotel. If I need to stay in Lima again for a night before a flight, then I will stay here again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Reasonable clean place for a short term - Very plesant staff and complyed with our request
- Judy (8/5): Adequate hotel, close to the airport. - We needed to be close to the Lima airport during the 10 hr. layover between flights. The Royal Inca Hotel people met us at the airport ( included in the hotel fee ) and called a cab for us to return for our next flight. The hotel is 5 to 10 min. from the airport --- depending on traffic. The room and bath/shower were clean.
