- Arno (8/5): Fine for a stay of 1–2 nights. - Very friendly staff. Although check-in was officially from 3:00 PM, we were able to access our room already at 1:30 PM. Bus stops to the city center are directly in front of the hotel. There is also a fast charger (50 kW) at the Shell station across the road (expensive) and another charging option about 300 meters away at the supermarket. The hotel feels a bit worn in places, probably due to the high turnover of guests. Our room view was unfortunately facing a black wall.

- Karen (8/5): It was our second visit and it is a lovely place, very comfortable and in a great location to relax from the busy city v - Great location, very comfortable and really nice choice of food. Nothing
- Miguel (10/5): Fantastic - Great hotel, food was great , rooms so comfortable and Staff really helpful and friendly nothing

- May (7/5): It was okay - The parking was good and the bed was comfy The chair had never been cleaned so couldn’t really sit in it the curling was falling apart the air conditioning didn’t really work

- FRANCISCO (3/5): I will not come back - They had gluten-free bread. The staff was friendly. The room was big. The coffee was terrible. One of the coffee machines was broken, so there was a long queue. Always the same stuff. No cheese or ham was available. On Sat and Sunday, breakfast starts at 8:00, not at 6:30. They do not tell you that you need to request room cleaning the night before until 11:00 pm!! This was absolutely ridiculous. It is far from downtown and not well communicated. I would recommend it only if you travel by car with people who have mobility difficulties.

- Haidar (7/5): Good but with some caveats. - Room size was good for three people, beds were comfy, adequate lighting and generally clean throughout. Good location, only a short bus ride to the city centre. It was fairly quiet the whole time which was good. Parking was also decent, plenty of spaces. Staff were accommodating and friendly. Room was not cleaned at all though we placed the "please clean sign" on the door handle every morning. We left the hotel everyday prior to 10AM so I am not sure what happened, but every time we came back the room had not been made? Unless we were not informing the staff correctly or following the correct protocol I have no idea why our room wasn't cleaned. So no clean bedding or towels for us I guess...
Also the bathroom extractor fan seems to be non functioning. I tested the extraction with a bit of tissue and there was no extraction. Tried to find the isolation switch but there seemed to be none, assume that the extractor turns on when you turn in on the light, but the extractor still didn't function. Resulted in a very steamy and humid bathroom after showering. Not ideal.

- Helen (8/5): Great value for money. - Lovely and modern, good sized room, clean, good swimming pool, sauna and steam room. Changing rooms clean. Breakfast was only served till 9am so we missed it.
- sergio (5/5): -
- Marco PM (9/5): - struttura moderna, nello stesso complesso presenti Starbucks e ristorante-pub.

- Minsu (1/5): - Location is good No drinking water at room
From reception staff says tap water from washroom is good for drinking
- yvonne (10/5): Excellent - Weve stayed here few times when through staying in Edinburgh, . great tvs for viewing sports in bar. Hotel is so clean with excellent spa leisure facilities.
Would definitely recommend hotel it's out with city centre however numerous buses from outside hotel that take 10 minute bus journey into centre
Want to mention staff member Jack on reception Really friendly yet professional welcome again. Credit to the hotel No issues

- Taha (8/5): Enjoyed it overall. Had a toddler with us would’ve liked a bigger room to allow him to enjoy playing etc, but we enjoyed - Comfortable beds. Nice shower etc. Food was good in the bar area, if a little expensive. Paying extra to swim, and to park. The pool (or at least the changing areas) have seen better days
- Eman (8/5): Really good overall experience - Location and gun facilities The breakfast quality was poor and they had very limited options available to select from
- Penny (10/5): Great hotel, excellent staff - Parking was great
However it was the staff who made this hotel so great, reception staff particularly Jack, and breakfast staff were all brilliant! Nothing, we’ve stayed before and we’ll stay again

- Alison (6/5): We are regular visitors to Village Hoteks, particularly in Edinburgh. For the price of rooms, some updating required. - Pool, onsite Starbucks, bar and grill Leaking toilet on arrival. It was dealt with but rooms and bathrooms are getting a bit tired.

- nobodytoknow (6/5): Convenient and functional, but expensive for what it offers - I stayed for one night and chose this hotel primarily for convenience. It works well as a base for exploring Edinburgh, but it is very much a functional rather than characterful place to stay. My room on the second floor had a great view of the roof of the gym.
The hotel was busy during my visit, including hosting a large school group, which inevitably changed the atmosphere. To their credit, the group was kept largely separate in a roped-off section of the bar and grill, which helped contain the impact.
Food in the bar and grill was straightforward and reliable rather than memorable. I opted for fish and chips, which was perfectly acceptable and about what you would expect from a hotel of this type. For whatever reason, ordering from your table via the Village app wasn't working and all drink and food orders had to be made at the bar.
Overall, this is a practical, predictable option that does the basics reasonably well. However, once you factor in the room rate, food, and extras, it does start to feel relatively expensive for what is ultimately a fairly standard, chain-style experience.

- thomaswY799VQ (10/5): A Brilliant Stay in Edinburgh, Fantastic Staff, Food & Spa - A very late review from our stay between 27th–29th March 2026, but after looking back on our trip, this hotel absolutely deserves the recognition.
From the very beginning, the service was excellent. I actually made a mistake when booking, and the gentleman I spoke to on the phone sorted everything out for me quickly and professionally with no hassle at all, which instantly took the stress away.
When we arrived, the lady who checked us in, a white girl with dark hair whose name I unfortunately can’t remember, was genuinely lovely. She was friendly, welcoming, and easy to chat to. What really stood out was that when we checked out two days later, she actually remembered our earlier conversation where I joked that I’d basically come to Scotland just to be a tourist. It’s little touches like that which make a stay feel personal.
The bar was great too. Good atmosphere, multiple TVs, and the bartenders were friendly and welcoming.
The restaurant was another highlight. Food came out incredibly quickly, was hot, fresh, and genuinely really tasty. Breakfast was a surprise as well, as I rarely ever eat breakfast when staying away, but it was so good I ended up having a full cooked breakfast both mornings.
Our room was spotless, modern, and very comfortable. Everything felt clean and well looked after.
Only very minor points, and nothing that would stop us returning:If you want to stream to the TV, it seemed much easier if you had a Samsung device. We both use Apple devices, and it looked like certain options required payment, which was a little frustrating. Also, connecting an HDMI cable wasn’t really possible due to where the TV was mounted. The only other tiny thing was there wasn’t a toilet brush in the bathroom. I completely understand why hotels sometimes remove them, but personally I always like to leave things as tidy as possible for housekeeping.
We also used the spa facilities, which were fantastic. Lovely pool, steam room, sauna, and jacuzzi. The only small thing was the jacuzzi regularly stopping for cleaning cycles. I completely understand why and appreciate the cleanliness, it was just slightly frustrating when you’re relaxing, but honestly it’s a very minor thing.
Overall, this was an excellent stay from start to finish. Fantastic staff, great food, lovely spa facilities, and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. We would happily stay again and would absolutely recommend it.

- graememulvey (10/5): Overnight stay - Good place to stay, great facilities, friendly staff. The shower isn't great for tall people though.
- Jennyblack7474 (4/5): Wish you well but won't go back - Unfortunately won't stay again.
Received email confirmation prior to arrival that the hotel had room to store our bags while we waited for check in time. Arrived back to find them still in the lobby beside reception desk not securely stored.
One of our guests was violently ill during the night after eating at the restaurant, she suspects it was the meal as it tasted off. Also we were most disappointed to be charged £11.40 for 4 drinks of miwadi.
Beds were comfy, staff were all lovely, but unfortunately wouldn't recommend or stay again.
- Curiosity01098877801 (10/5): Lovely stay - My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights, the receptionist Ellie was so helpful and kind when we first arrived struggling with a few issues ( not the hotels fault).
Reception deserves a 10/10.
The club room is very clean and spacious.
We enjoyed our food and a few drinks watching the football, very good atmosphere.
The only issue we had was the breakfast as it is very basic and a lot of the items were cold and overcooked.
Maybe the hotel could add a continental section with cheese ham and different eggs just for a little change from the cooked options.
I’m sorry but the scrambled eggs were not good.
We would return but probably try somewhere else for breakfast.
Lovely stay though x

Food on the hotel excellent recommend the chicken wings and their burgers are great
Rooms spotless only downside rooms could do with a fridge in the room
- Martin (1/5): Would not stay again - Location no EV chargers working had to go to retail park to charge Over run with teenagers loud noise bed uncomfortable breakfast was shocking for price

- NatSli (10/5): - Bardzo dobre śniadanie. Pomocny personel. Czysto i wygodnie.

- McGuigan (6/5): - I liked facilities, pool and jacuzzi. Bedrooms were comfortable and staff were helpful. I was with my 8 year old daughter and I had to ask 4 times for her ice cream to be brought over after our dinner. I waited 40 minutes and had to eventually go and find the manager. The staff seemed nice and the girl kept speaking to me, said she asked the kitchen staff several times. Manager was able to get it straight away.

- aa9076291e4f701fa9669da0e5ddb14b (10/5): Clean - The property is only 15min bus ride away from Edinburgh city and it stops just outside the hotel, the room was clean , the receptionist was friendly and answered any questions we had .
Breakfast was value for money only thing missing as it was a Scottish breakfast was tattie scones . N/a
- e1912755340870c5fc417d95e57de6c4 (10/5): - It was easily accessible by bus. Staff is really friendly and helpful.

- Samhamxx (10/5): Perfect stay - Enjoyed an overnight stay here as a belated Mother’s Day treat for my mum. The girl at reception could not have been any friendlier on arrival which set the tone nicely for the trip. We used the pool facilities, the gym and the bar and all were great and we enjoyed breakfast in the morning too. Our double double room was ideal and I found the bed to be really comfy. Will definitely stay again.
