Guest Reviews
- Philbrick (6/5): Stay was commensurate with price - Room was clean Shower handle was broken, loud noise when taking a shower. Was given wrong room as someone else had same first name but different last name. This was fixed.
- cecilia (5/5): Was not the best experience. Clean up your act. - It was scary, one person I saw opened a draw in the breakfast dining room, to find an item, and there was bugs, lots of bugs were running gross.
Saw a couple of dead 🪳 🪳 cockroachs on the floor outside my room. Some days no bananas,or breakfast items not available.
Carpeting was filthy, in the hallways and rooms.
Chairs in the dinner room were filthy needed drastic cleaning. Housekeeping was poor to say the lest. Housekeeping is very poor.

- Carole826 (6/5): Positives and Negatives - The location was excellent. My daughter was there to run an ultra at White Lake nearby.
The hotel: Be aware there is no elevator. Stairs are a challenge for me, but I also deal with them at home.
I stayed three nights. The first night, my daughter had her own room across the hall. After checking into my room, I noticed the toilet looked cloudy. The toilet seat was terribly discolored (pinkish). There was a towel hanging on a hook at the back of the bathroom door. This made me feel like the room was not fully cleaned. I did not complain as I knew the hotel was booked. That evening, I smelled cigarette smoke and a burning plastic smell and other odors. The next two nights I did not.
Early the next morning, my daughter moved stuff into this room, before heading to ultra. I did not want to disrupt the weekend by complaining, so I texted the day after I got home. I got no response. So, I called after three days. They did not address the toilet seat issue (sent picture) and had a pretty defensive vs responsive attitude. (Yes, I failed to address immediately.)
I am not sure if I would stay here in the future. I do love the area. My sister had a place nearby in the past. If I did, I would address any concern immediately and expect a higher standard than I allowed for this stay.
- Tonya (8/5): Great location to state park and other outdoor activities - Convenient to the state park and other walking trails in the area. Cute convenient store across the street. The room really needed a deep clean. The bed was slumped on one side. It really could have used an updated coffee machine. Restaurants were pretty far away.
- De Leon (6/5): - There was a pool. The place wasn't clean, the rooms floor was dirty, even in the Hall's carpet you could see a lot of dirt. The sheets in the room had stains. The room was too small.

- NorthStar03058282584 (8/5): Great for our family - The room was big. We booked the suite with a king bed and a full bed. They provided a pack and play as well. My kids 4 and 1, loved the indoor pool. They gave the kids floats to use. The breakfast was cereal, bagels, a waffle machine, oatmeal, and fruit. Regular included breakfast. Overall the stay was good. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. They don’t have an elevator and it’s not the most updated hotel but it’s a days inn so you wouldn’t expect it to be. Great for the price. We only stayed one night.
- Katie (2/5): Needs help!! - Across from Rosie’s a great family restaurant Freezing indoor pool!
Horrible breakfast, rock hard bagels and warm milk. smelled major of curry.
- Marianne (8/5): - Easy access, Handicap friendly No closet!
- Mike (6/5): Decent but overpriced. - Was bound by location. Definitely nicer than the econolodge down the street. But the a/c in my room sounded like an 18 wheeler and barely able to close curtains. The staff check in super nice. If half or 30 less price wise, I would have felt better. Loud ac.
- Marlene (5/5): -
- Gene (7/5): Typical motel - Both ok Toilet leaked at base
- Chantelle (5/5): -
- Megan (7/5): -
- Dee (3/5): - Location and staff Had to move to 3 rooms before I settled in due to non function keys and toilet issues. The new room wasnt all that clean. Found hairs that didnt belong to us in tub and sink.
- Manoj (7/5): -
- Marianne (6/5): Overall pleasant and convenient. - Easily accessible, staff attentive. Security measures questionable; Incident with obviously inebriated person knocking on doors highlighted issues;
*Door was hard to lock(misalignment with door jam),
*security peep hole in door blocked- unable to view hallway made it impossible to determine who was knocking without opening door. (Especially when State Police came to deal with above mention person)
Front desk and management very helpful and friendly. Unsure who notified authorities…but glad they did!
- Dorothy (6/5): Decent - Breakfast not great not great. Needs to be
Updated Needs updating
- Colin (8/5): -
- Vozzella (9/5): -
- Susana (8/5): Great place tucked away - Everything was nice and clean. The staff was wonderful and welcoming. The breakfast was nice but for someone who is gluten free, dairy free it was challenging. I ended up just having a banana and tea. But my husband loved the waffles The property is way out there from Conway center but along the way to the hotel we did find beautiful scenery and did a few stops that we had not planned and caught some beautiful pictures
- Thresher (2/5): - Sink was filthy. Breakfast was lacking
- Jack (10/5): Very nice - The breakfast The lavatory being outside of the bathroom
- Aaron (10/5): -
- Karen (1/5): This hotel was extremely disappointing. - Not much. Water pressure was decent in the shower. This "hotel" was not what I would expect from a Days Inn. The place was very run down and not clean. There was hair in the shower (before we showered). Everything was dingy. The room was very dark, even with every light turned on. There wasn't a full-length mirror (we were going to a wedding and would have liked to see how we looked). We left early on the second day of our stay. However, when we returned to get ready for the wedding that evening, the room was not cleaned. The toilet was tiny and very low, like what you might expect in an elementary school. Not having a sink in the bathroom, seemed unsanitary to me. You have to touch the doorknob after going to the bathroom, without the opportunity to wash your hands. Also, we were supposed to have a King room, but had 2 Queens instead. Lastly, no elevator!
- Vozzella (10/5): - Peaceful and quite
- Armita Moody (8/5): Standard road trip hotel - There are very few hotel options in Tamworth. Days Inn was a very good standard hotel with most amenities you need, and good location. Breakfast was just okay.
- Elan (8/5): Good value for money. - Good value for money. Nice and clean hotel not for from Conway but much more affordable. Good breakfast (Coffee, Oatmeal, Cereal, Milk, Toast, Butter... ). Laundry machines. Good restaurant nearby (Hobbs Tavern & Brewing Company). No elevator. No Pool. No fitness room

- JINGHUI (10/5): -
- Tony_Shzh (8/5): 满足预期,物有所值吧! - 位置还不错,干净舒适,早餐也还行中规中矩,算是满足预期的。 还好,没啥特别的短板。
- Trent (10/5): - Nice room for the price. Helpful staff. Sink did not drain very well.
- lmod13 (10/5): Relaxing, peaceful vvacation stay - Convenient location with great parking. Very nice first impression when we walked in. Room(s) very clean - had to switch due to heating/cooling system rattle. Thought the price was a little steep even though it was fall, peak season, because there was nothing close to be attracted to. Very quiet hotel with staff ready to help in any way. Amenities were satisfactory.
- Laurie (1/5): - Restaurant boarded up no bar as advertised. Mold in fan. Price gauging. Awful
- sanatkumar (4/5): - There was a huge spider crawling on floor as soon as we walked it the door. Right next to the nearest bed.
- Angela (8/5): - The stay was good value for the money.
- NoiyAnn (8/5): - Good
- yuvalt458 (6/5): not too good - Room OK, Breakfast terrible, not even enough bread! Lowest quality yogort.
Beds are OK, large room, NO ELEVETOR to 2nd floor!!!
- Vozzella (10/5): - Location was great and staff friendly
- Robert (10/5): - Decent place. Good price
- YUVAL (7/5): OK - חדר בסדר גמור, נקי ונוח ארוחת בוקר נוראית
- Susan (10/5): - Staff was friendly and helpful.
- ranjit (2/5): - breakfast was bad; very limited options with no bread. room and carpet was not clean.
- Jerry (5/5): - The second room was better than our first assignment - Room 233! Do NOT accept that room....see more info in "What didn't you like" below.. Staff were eventually willing to change rooms after coming to inspect; however, he was obviously well aware of the ladder! Room 233 - you were expected to CLIMB a ladder and crawl about 15-20 foot to access the HVAC unit to turn on and/or adjust the AC/heat
! The bathroom sink was broken, there was no coffee maker, the bottom drawer of the dresser wouldn't shut so it stuck out 6", the drape was falling off, and the deadbolt didn't line up with the slot! I'm sure there were more things, but YIKES! After a little conversation, the staff "found" us another room. WAAAAY better, thank goodness! My husband fixed the float in Room 222 so it would stop running continually. The AC/heater just blew air - no heat and no AC either, just air.
- Tammy (8/5): Good value for the price - Great location. Comfortable bedding. Room and bath very clean. Breakfast was average. Coffee was not good
- Armita (7/5): Decent Tamworth Accomodation - The staff were super nice and helpful. The carpet looked worn out.
- Marion D (8/5): Good value - Super comfy bed, excellent breakfast. Good location. Definitely recommend.
- Jennifer (7/5): -
- Courtney (2/5): - Room was so gross!! No extra linen was available. When checking in the guy was standing at the desk with nothing but a towel on. Very uncomfortable! The only reason we stayed was there was no other available rooms anywhere close by.
- Vozzella (9/5): -
- David (10/5): - Good.
- JENNA (8/5): -
- JENNA (8/5): -
- ann (10/5): - Very friendly check in staff
- DenvilleTourist (10/5): Hidden Jewel - This hotel is a hidden jewel. Located in a small village, away from commercial areas but Conway and Meredith can be easily reached. The swimming pool is clean and good. The staff was friendly, the cleaning was very good.
- Alexander (10/5): - Breakfast is good.
- gwendolynw760 (10/5): Welcome relief - I was a late check-in. It was refreshing to walk into a nice, clean room. Mind you, I had spent the night in the woods, so it was a welcome change. It wwould as excellent and I much rather stay at a hotel than at a cabin in the woods. It was a beautiful experience, Clean . I don’t say the Hotel Clark was very friendly. I definitely would recommend someone staying there and this was a late night check in.
- bluesafari357 (10/5): A very good experience - This Day's Inn was a great experience. The reception was excellent and all the staff were very curtious. The manager personally welcomed my wife and I and our stay was perfect. Price was very good and I would definitely return again.
- timothy (8/5): -
- Jens (10/5): -
- Afrah (8/5): - This hotel is a lil old but still a good place to stay, reception employee is wonderful, he is helpful, kind and funny. My room was quite despite it was right next to the stairs, it was not super spacious but it was comfortable, everything was clean except for minor stains here and there.
Now things i did dislike are: 1- i found a dead bed bug on one of the wall. 2- their breakfast is not the best, it's something you can snack on not get nutrition from.
This hotel is smoke free, but some guests just enjoy breaking the rules and making others uncomfortable.
But overall for the price it was a good stay and i would be back here if i needed to in the future.
- mark (8/5): - The hotel is in good condition and well kept, property is clean with plenty of parking and close to plenty of dining.
- Robert (6/5): - Our stay here was overall not bad. The location is definitely a highlight, White Lake Beach is within walking distance and access is only $5 per person, which made it very convenient.
That said, there are areas that need improvement. The sauna wasn’t working during our stay, housekeeping could have been better, and the breakfast was very plain. The property itself could use some upkeep and a little more attention to detail.
All in all, it wasn’t a bad experience, but with some updates and better service it could be a much stronger option for future guests.
- Richard (10/5): -
- David (6/5): - Liked cleanliness of room
Didn't like how small room was. Breakfast was mediocre
- Karen (10/5): - Great stay! Clean and very comfortable beds and sparkling linens. Great value.
- Tour68047980684 (4/5): $$ price, $ appearance. - The hotel was a throwback to the 1980's but not in a good way. For almost $250 a night I expected an elevator to my guest floor (did not have one), clean carpet, an exterior that did not look light decades of unfinished projects, etc.
- Jocelle (4/5): For the price ($300 for 1 night) I expected better. But in the long run it was just somewhere to sleep. - Beds were clean & comfortable. Only a 30mins drive into downtown North Conway.
Breakfast was good.
Quick mark across the street was convenient for gas and other items such as snacks, food, drinks. Staff was friendly, only interacted/saw them at check in and check out. Couple things I didn’t love about this property:
Items found under bed ruffles
Fly in the room
Chairs in room are dirty
Extremely small room for my family of 3
The pool was dark & gloomy. Honestly looked abandoned and carpet in the pool area is diabolical.
- Fred (8/5): - What I like most was the staff. They were very helpful!!!!
- Anastasia (10/5): - Half of the building wasn't in use, looked a bit run down and the rug in the bedroom felt… greasy
- Everlena (1/5): Disgusting and will be reporting to health services - Nothing Mold infested and they said they’d refund but decided to still charge me $800 for two nights
- Maryann (2/5): - No handtowels, pool was cold and pool area smelled moldy, sauna out of service, burn marks in the blanket, no sink in bathroom had to go into closet to wash hands. Unreal! Asked staff for towels they never bought them.
- Sean (10/5): - Great hotel and property, staff was super professional and friendly as well. Very clean rooms
- Melissa (8/5): - Very close to large state park, lakes and food options.
- Gregory (7/5): Very happy with a clean bed, room and towels at a very reasonable price. - Price was very reasonable for seniors on fixed incomes! Breakfast. Very vending machine basic
- Tammy (10/5): Breakfast was great. Staff was friendly and very clean location - Clean
- Rick (6/5): - Old run down hotel with 1980s carpeting. Stayed teo nights. Came back and maid threw out bedding back up to the pillows. Breakfast was a joke. The restaurant is closed on site. You had cereal or waffle maker with one kind of yogurt. Restaurant closed due to what I can only imagine was a health inspection unannounced. Do not stay in Tamworth. Go to North Conway for the real hotels!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Need a upgrade.
- ajbobo (2/5): Avoid at all cost! - Not sure how who rated this hotel 3 stars, but trust me, it truly worth 1 star or worse. There is no elevators, so be prepared to carry all your belongings to the second floor if your room is upstairs. We first got checked into a king size bed room, the sheets had shoe prints, blood stains, and all kinds of black marks. Toilet was dirty. Worst of all, the AC smelled moldy, dingusting sweaty foot smell to be exact. We asked to change a room, got assigned a room right across. Opened the doors and saw an unmade bed with sheets all over the place. Luckily there was no one there. We went to the front desk again and finally got our third room for the night. It was just enough for a night sleep. We checked out the earliest time next morning skipping breakfast. I wouldn't trust their breakfast if they can't even maintain their rooms. AVOID!
- Aidan (6/5): - Not a bad place to stay
- David (2/5): - The property has no elevator. So, a family member who currently is on crutches had to traverse two flights of stairs. When we asked about a room on the first floor, the front desk informed us there was a suite available but it was "much more expensive and it's bigger so (the family member) would have to walk farther in the room" and, therefore, didn't offer it to us. A family member used the lobby restroom when we arrived only to find that it had flooded which got her clothes wet and was pretty treacherous for someone on crutches. No caution sign for the wet floor. Our bathroom wreaked of cigarette smoke. The room was tiny. We were supposed to stay for two more nights, but checked out after one for to the conditions and were charged a cancellation fee for the last two days due to booking through a third party. One of our worst experiences staying in a hotel.
- Sophie (2/5): - AC/room has extremely moldy smell. The comforters had blood stain, footprint, and other unknown stains. Took 2 attempts to change rooms. First time was given a room that was still not cleaned yet (messy bed). Facilities were very outdated(old and dirty). Wouldnt recommend
- rhodytravels401 (2/5): Dirty, sketchy hotel. - When we arrived at the hotel it looked like it was closed because half of the building was dark and empty. We finally found the entrance and we checked in and went to our room at 8:30pm. When we got to our room, there were 2 people in our room, in regular clothes, who didn’t speak any English. All they could say was “one minute” We were not only frustrated but also a bit worried as we didn’t know why they were in our room. Turns out they were cleaning our room…at 8pm. We finally settled in and at 9:30pm they knocked on our door to give us a trash barrel…which we already had one. Went to take a shower and there were spiders in the bathroom and stains on the wall, floor and rust in the bathtub. There were also burn holes on the bedding and the whole hotel smelled like cigarettes. I’m 7 months pregnant and it made me sick. I woke up with the worst headache and nausea. The cleaning crew was in and out of the room across from us until midnight which they were using as storage. This bothered us and irritated our dogs. The bed was rock solid and hurt to sleep on. After this horrendous night, we couldn’t stay a second night. We cut our vacation short and sadly headed home a day early. I don’t know how this hotel is still open with how awful it was. The lack of customer care and cleanliness is disgusting.
- J7603IPheatherm (2/5): Not pleasant - This hotel experience was not good. The rooms were not tidy. They had stained furniture and blankets. The continental breakfast barely existed and the kitchen area was not as clean as you would expect for a food serving area.
Also, the online check-in and checkout process was very frustrating. I received over 10 emails about my check-in. It was Excessive and unhelpful
- Angela (3/5): Ok - Location was good Was not like described. The pool was not clean and not as pictured. Sauna was out of order. We had to ask for someone to clean our room 2 days in row. The restaurant and bar they claim they have was out of business. The lake in picture is not behind hotel but a half mile down road.
- Heather (2/5): Not pleasant - The rooms were dirty- we switched rooms due to dirty comforter and the second one also had dirty blankets. The hotel had a strong odor and the continental breakfast was limited in food and poor in quality also the hotel sent me 10 emails and is still re this reservation even though I checked out - just bad
- Lafreniere (7/5): Good -
