Guest Reviews
- Christopher (10/5): - Fabulous location. Excellent staff. Great welcome. Well appointed and v spacious room that was clean in all the important places. A little grubby in places cleaned less frequently. Very good shared spaces. Restaurant 8.5/10. Some courses excellent but a chewy bit of tuna not good and it’s very noisy when busy. Would stay again.
- William (10/5): - The sea views are spectacular, from the room and from the common areas. Service is impeccable. The restaurant is one of the best in SA. This is a unique experience not to be missed. Best for one or two nights, not more.
- Ronalda (10/5): Little piece of paradise - Nestled at the foot of Chapman's Peak, Tintswalo Atlantic isn't just a hotel; it's an experience that redefines coastal luxury.
From the moment we arrived, the breathtaking panorama of Hout Bay, captivates your senses. The waves crashing against the rocks below creates an immediate sense of tranquility and escape.
What truly sets Tintswalo Atlantic apart is its unparalleled location. Each exquisitely designed suite, named after a famous island, boasts a private balcony that seems to hover directly above the churning Atlantic.
The attention to detail extends far beyond the views. The interiors are a harmonious blend of sophisticated comfort and nautical charm, with plush furnishings, thoughtful amenities, and unique touches that reflect the character of each island inspiration.
The service is impeccable – attentive yet unobtrusive, with a genuine warmth that makes you feel like a cherished guest rather than just a room number. At the Spa I experienced one of the best massages ever.
Dining at Tintswalo is an event in itself. The cuisine is a celebration of fresh, locally sourced ingredients, expertly prepared and beautifully presented.
Tintswalo Atlantic is more than just a place to stay; it's a sanctuary for the soul and created an unforgettable escape that will linger long after we've left.
- Andrew (10/5): Relaxation haven… - Wonderful location, wonderful food, wonderful room…
- Ashleigh (10/5): - Incredible hotel with world class views and great, friendly staff. Unforgettable trip.
- Jordan (10/5): - Great staff and unbelievable views
- Georgia (10/5): - Overall, lovely stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Off the charts!!! - Surely one of the best hotels in South Africa?
Amazing service, friendliest staff, luxurious and spacious room, ridiculous views and delicious food.
- Saira (6/5): - Beautiful property in an amazing setting but service is chaotic and the hotel is not well run, which was disappointing for the price. The restaurant is well worth a visit and food and service there is very good.
- Helmut (10/5): Special place - Unbelievable stay. Very special location. Waves crashing at your feet. Wonderful staff. Impeccable restaurant.
- Gregory (10/5): - The staff were always checking in and making sure your stay was going well. The chef and kitchen were always willing to cook us something other than the set menus. Just know parking here is quite different. You park at the top of the mountain and then shuttles take you up and down to get to the parking lot. It is quite tight and steep. The views are amazing and the room was great. Turn down service every night. We hit the taxi strike which really hampered us seeing things because no shops open. But the did a great job monitoring the situation and we finally got the airport on the last day of the stay safely. Amazing property, will return.
- Edward (10/5): Highly Recommend - We could not have been more delighted with our week long stay!! The staff was attentive and friendly, the food & drinks were terrific, and the actual hotel is unique with lots of character. The location is far enough away from the hustle/bustle but close enough to all the popular spots to visit. Highly recommend!!
- Rachael (10/5): - This is a must do for anyone heading to the Eastern Cape - truly magical and like nowhere else I have been ! Thank you for a lovely stay. X
- Luiza (8/5): - Beautiful surroundings but not much to do around. The staff is very attentive but don’t leave you alone- they mean well but knocking on our door for 45 seconds and calling my name when we don’t answer (we were taking a bath) is just out of this world. We also felt pressure to eat on the property even though wanted to discover the harbor.. everyone means well but i think some training on 5 star hotel etiquette would be helpful.
- Ryan (10/5): - Incredible situation right on the ocean , staff could not have been more friendly . food world class
- Scott (10/5): - Great place.
- Saleem (8/5): Romantic getaway - Perfect location for a romantic weekend.
- Mark (8/5): Amazing position - Amazing position and awesome food
- Diego (10/5): Pure luxury - Tintswalo was worth every penny. From the moment you are greeted your every need is tended to, water, candy, delicious meals. The rooms are themed around different islands and we stayed in Lamu, which is a Kenyan island. The bed is super comfortable and every accommodation you need is accounted for. There is a high level of privacy. We had the pool all to ourselves during sunset. There are soft robes and slippers everywhere. For dinner, we had a seafood platter complete with mussels, squid, sea bass, salmon, lobster and shrimp. If you are looking for one special treat in cape town this is it!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Perfect - Everything was excellent. The best view of africa combined with amazing service and great food.
- Rob (10/5): Stunning, stunning! - Absolutely amazing from start to finish. Best place I’ve ever stayed.
- Stephen (10/5): Excellent comfortable hotel in superb location - Superb hotel set in the cliffs overlooking Hoet Bay.
Comfortable and luxurious hotel - staff very friendly - all the small things that make a hotel great could be found here.
Restaurant a little expensive but would certainly recommend it.
- Sarah (10/5): Stunning location overlooking Hout Bay - This was a real treat for our final night in SA. We only wish we could have stayed longer. The rooms were comfortable, each uniquely designed and we felt as though we were the only guests there! Beautiful pool deck and sundowners overlooking the Atlantic were highlights.
