Guest Reviews
- Patrick (8/5): - Love Baileys. Though there was a fire alarm
- Mark (4/5): - Mould and mouldy smell in the bathroom and room. I will not book here again.
- PETER (10/5): - Z
- Donna (10/5): - Close to optus stadium
- Gill (6/5): - We have stayed at this motel many times due to its convenient location near food outlets. We also appreciated the free secure parking, but were very disappointed to find that parking is now being charged at the rate of $15 a night.
- REX (6/5): - Good room access. Clean and tidy.
- Kevin (8/5): - Close to Optus Stadium and Cat buses and train station. The walk to the city is manageable.
Some staff are better than others, 2 were excellent and 2 were just ok.
- Shane (10/5): - Clean with everything you need
Great area, close to Optus, easy walk
- Michael (6/5): - Our stay was great besides check in. We were a late check in which was communicated and received. But I never received the text messages about how we were supposed to retrieve our keys. Both email and SMS may be the better option. We called the number on the door which was another hotel, then they had to wake the manager to give us instructions to get into our room. They need to update reception hours on the front door as it states 11.00pm we were there at 10.30pm.
- Dennis919 (10/5): Exxceptional and friendly service - A great little gem of a motel. Located close to the free Cat bus services around Perth city and 5 to 10 minute walk to both McIver and Claisebrook train stations. It is very quick and easy to catch the train from the airport to Baileys Motel, costing a grand sum of $4.80!
The hotel itself is very comfortable and homely. The room I stayed in at the front of the motel also had a little balcony with chairs and table too! The rooms are very funky with a 60s vibe.
I really enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend Baileys to anyone travelling or visiting Perth. Walking distance or public transport to most areas.
- Kenneth (6/5): - Not the best hotel I've stayed at alright to sleep at but a lot of unsavory people hang out near property
- Neil (10/5): - Great location in the heart of the Claisebrook area of East Perth.
Room was clean, shower was good. Defintiely staying there again.
- Sumit (10/5): - Secure well maintained, well connected. Friendly staff.
- Maree (8/5): - The beds were comfortable.
- guy (10/5): - Great staff , rooms nice
- christopher (8/5): - Great old motel. Lots of character.
Public park across the road hosted some unsavory types
- Roman (8/5): - In walking distance to city center
- Brian Maxwell (8/5): - Easy access peaceful an very friendly
- Debbie (8/5): - Handy for the city centre and buses
- Juan Antonio (10/5): - Nice and clean
- Donald (8/5): - It was as expected . Used many times.
- Elizabeth (6/5): - Clean comfortable and quiet
- Lindsay (10/5): - Close to the city. Friendly.
- Lei (10/5): - The staff were professional and accommodating.
- Janet (10/5): - Although it’s an older motel it is clean and well maintained. It is walking distance for going to Optus Stadium and the free CAT buses are very close. I will very happily stay there again.
- Mignon (10/5): - A comfortable overnight stay in East Perth. Very clean and everything worked.
- Carissa (8/5): - Affordable and 5 minute walk away from the event venue! Nice room
- Vicki (8/5): - Simple and clean. Good walking distance from HBF Park.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Happy with our stay!! - Good budget place to stay, pretty clean and comfortable beds. Loved the sustainability side of it the most.
- Esther (4/5): - Regular cleaning and changing towels. Polite staff.
- Jane (4/5): - I did not like the room l was given. Smelt dreadfully of smoking. Caused my asthma
to activate! I stayed because l was exhausted after a day of travel from.
Staff at front office were ok on arrival. I think not a suitable place for a single lady to stay.
- Radina (10/5): Highly recommend - Great motel - walking distance to CBD (20mins), wonderful staff and exceptionally clean , despite the somewhat old age. We also got a free upgrade, for which I am very grateful to the team!! Thank you very much!!
- ALAN (8/5): - Basic motel style accomodation, large room
- MarkE20 (10/5): Cairns to Perth via Outback Way 2024 - We had booked 2 adjoining rooms while we were on route in Kalgoorlie.
Spacious rooms with basic coffee and toaster and fridge available.
We had rooms overlooking the road and park with balconies.
Comfortable bed.
Good size bathroom.
My wife and I stayed 2 nights and for our friends it was the last night of our adventure across Australia as they were flying back to New Zealand the following day.
Unfortunately for us, it rained quite heavily during the night and water leaked through the light fitting in the bathroom.
With our help and cooperation we took over our friends room after it was made up which worked out well for us as we had lots of left over equipment and gear we had bought for our Outback Way Adventure between the 4 of us so it only meant moving our gear into their room to add to theirs and then into our vehicle on check out.
The hotel was very apologetic and helpful.
Parking is good, behind an electric gate.
Close to CBD and within walking distance.
Restaurant on the ground floor which we had our final dinner together with our friends which was amazing.
Pool but we didn't use it.
- Kym (6/5): - Property is showing age, budget friendly rooms. Unfortunately, we arrived to our room with the light on and full of mosquitoes. Reception were helpful, but didn’t have the insect killer needed. So we had ceiling fan on, but spent the night with noisy mosquitoes and bites.
- Gavin (4/5): - Unsafe inadequate parking due to lack of space
- Ross (6/5): - This motel was tired. It was shabby and lacked any style. Secure parking and staff had mixed English skills. It was ok value as a last minute need for some where to stay.
- Shaun (8/5): - .
- Verified traveler (2/5): Just one night, thank goodness... - Check-in was fine and we found space in the carpark near our room. We had room number 1, which was ground level. On entering our room, we were overwhelmed with a very strong musty stench, that didn't dissipate throughout our stay, even after turning on the fan and opening doors and windows. There were no flyscreens, so we ended up with many insects in the room and had to close them before sleeping. The bathroom was most offensive and the odour seemed to originate in there. Be advised that the rooms are very noisy, old and in dire need of renovations. On the upside, the bed was comfortable with decent, clean linens and the location of the motel suited our needs.
- Robert (10/5): - Great place.
- Elisabeth (8/5): - Spacious Room and Located in CentraL !
- Laura (10/5): - Fantastic room service, very generous with soaps, etc.
- Peter (10/5): - Bang for buck. Inexpensive and comfortable. Rooms a tad on the smaller side but hey.
- Gwydia (8/5): - Close to the major roads.
- Gary (8/5): - Cheapest motel I could find in Perth. Good for overnight stay.
- Ginetta (10/5): - I enjoyed my stay the location was fantastic walkabout to the city free buses also. Confidante bed and all around a great place to stay. Will come back.
- Tristan (6/5): - .
- Maria (10/5): - This property was wonderful. Staff excellent, very accommodating to needs as husband in Perth hospital. Nice restaurant down stairs. Housekeeping staff excellent
- Adam (2/5): - Wow.
What a hole.
Never again.
- nianchao (6/5): Smelly Carpet - The carpet in this room is too smelly.
- Fran (6/5): - Quite noisy, kettle doesn't fit under tap, blankets very smelly
- MORGAN (6/5): - Had a terrible nights sleep due to the Fire Alarm going off continuously for nearly a hour around 1-2 am and it was so loud as it’s meant to be.. it had everyone outside for ages😭
- Cori (8/5): - Junkies out side
- Alfred (6/5): - That they weren't completely strict about vacating of the room by check-out time
- Nigel (8/5): - Location. I had a function at The Camfield next to Optus Stadium. I walked over the Matagurup Bridge to attend, and staggered back for a one night stay.
A bed for the night, coffee in the morning, and a place to securely park my car had served its purpose well.
- Geoff (8/5): - Location
- Kate (4/5): - The hotel is in a great area, and I usually enjoy staying there, but this time it was obvious that the room had barely been cleaned before I went into it.
- Russell (10/5): - Quiet and peaceful
- T.A.R. (8/5): - Friendly staff, great room service, convenient onsite secure parking. Room was neat and presentable.
- Rene (10/5): - I could not find fault with anything.
Staff was super helpful. The pizza from the restaurant was the best I had in a very long time.
- Shaun (10/5): - The motel is easy to find and in East Perth easy walking distance to events
- Ben (10/5): - Very convenient country basic place to stay
- Glenn (8/5): - The customer service could have been better.
- Vindya (10/5): - We recently had the pleasure of staying at Baileys Motel, East Perth, and I must say it was a truly exceptional experience. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and memorable. The customer service at this motel is unparalleled. Ms Anu. was friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist with any request. They truly made us feel valued as a guest. The motel is well-maintained, clean, and equipped with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The location of the motel is also excellent, with easy access to local attractions, restaurants, and shopping areas. Whether you're traveling for business or leisure, this motel is a perfect choice. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Baileys Motel, East Perth and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch hotel with outstanding customer service. I will definitely be returning on my next visit to Perth. Thank you very much guys..! Keep up the good work..!
- Marty (10/5): - Very clean and quite. Good place.
- Kevin (6/5): - Not sure if this is an old property running down or new owners just taking over a run down property. Ceryainly noy 5 star .
This is the first time we have stayed here, will probaly try again . Great italian restaurant on the premises.
- Tessa (10/5): - Easy free parking inside motel area. Quick check in. Only 15 minute walk to optus stadium. Good room to sleep and rest your head. Will go again. Just remember a $100 safety deposit is taken at check in and returned upon check out.
- Alicia (6/5): - Staff were fantastic and accomodating
Facilities were not as advertised
- Peter (6/5): - The bedside lamps make reading bed difficult. For this reason I will not stay at the motel again.
- Margaret (6/5): - Just very roughly painted , no picture in the room wall
- Helen (8/5): Great location at a reasonable price. - Helpful staff, room was fine although the bathroom could do with a bit of refurbishment.
- Neil (8/5): - Friendly staff.
- David (8/5): - Easy walk to Perth CBD.
Arrived on a late night flight after reception closing at 11 PM. Need a more simplified way to allow access to room after hours.
- Leanne (8/5): - Really easy to get to 👍 close to decent places to eat, the casino and most importantly Optus Stadium 😁
- Terry (4/5): - I was very disappointed with my check in experience. The main foyer door was lock and it took an hour and multiple phone calls before I had any response from the front desk.
- Duncan (8/5): - Location to Optus stadium was perfect
- Siew Kiat (6/5): - The staff was pretty friendly. The place was actually quite clean. The interior had signs of recent paint jobs in attempt to freshen the place but furnitures and all the fixtures were really dated so a renovation is due. The worst about this place is it didn't give us a feeling that it was safe. On the day of arrival, there were police officers clearing the content of another unit and I suspect it was due to drugs and illegal substance abuse by another customer. At night, there was a couple fighting and screaming at the top of their lungs right outside our unit. It didn't last long luckily but that should not have occured. All night long I heard people walking and slamming doors which also didn't give me and my family a good night sleep.
- John (10/5): - Basic room, but comfortable. Cheap rate and lovely parks and cafes within easy walking distance down to the waterfront and along East Perth
- Murray (10/5): - Very close to restaurants, transport. The only thing I found wrong was the bed was uncomfortable and a minor think the light shades are so old they need replacing other than that we enjoyed our stay
- Paul (10/5): - What a great place.
First time here and very impressed, really nice rooms great colour scheme, a short stroll into the city and a really nice restaurant attached to the property with great meals and the pizzas just a WOW
- Yukio (8/5): - Good
- Barry (10/5): - Unfortunately the bar and pizza were not open Tuesday.
Fish n chips 3.5/5
- ben (2/5): - Approached hotel staff for an additional night, hotel staff confirmed that a second night was already booked. An hour later hotel staff approached the room and notified us that we were passed the check out time and need to leave as there was guests expected to arrive. further discussion with hotel staff resulted in them offering the room back to us again but at twice the cost of the first night.
- Ime (6/5): - No pics of outdoors on website so colour scheme and overall setup was unexpected. Rooms overlooking busy car park was also unexpected.
Room itself was tidy and clean, thanks.
- Eric (6/5): - Sheets and towels clean, water hot. Stay away from rooms 04 and 05. They face the road and there's no double glazing. Our bed in 05 was a person trap (dip in the centre). Staff are nice and helpful. Handy location. Right next to fish and chips/bottlo.
- Cornelius (6/5): - Not to far from city which is great. Did not like the noice from the people staying below me. Allowing their teens to run up and down the passage late at night and playing ball between peoples cars in the limited space in the parking area.
- Vanya (10/5): - Bailey's Motel accommodation was affordable , conveniently located for our needs and provided secure parking.
Their staff were friendly and helpful.
- John (8/5): - We arrived at 1130pm after flight cancellations etc and gathered entry details by mobile from airport. Unfortunately, texting details failed due to system failure but the notes we took enabled us to gain entry to our unit.
In the morning the rain had ceased but we had to walk two blocks for breakfast before commencing a 5 hour drive home which was inconvenient otherwise we were satisfied.
- Michael (10/5): - UNA on the desk took the time to show me around when checked in much appreciated kindness absolutely excellent customer service highly recommend thankyou
- Kerry (8/5): - Close to East Perth Bus terminal and Gold prospect station for country destinations
- Brian Maxwell (8/5): - Easy access safe an close to city
- David (2/5): - After travelling across Australia they would not let me check in 40 minutes early. I had to go to the park across the road in the rain to use the toilets.
There was only enough milk and sugar for two cups of coffee and I did ask for more and was handed 2 more sachels of sugar.
- Brenda (8/5): - We were shown to a room that was unsuitable and not like the one we chose online. The queen bed up against one wall, a depressing room with no view, only high windows. I asked the receptionist for another room and she willingly obliged. Much nicer and comfortable. Thank You for helping us enjoy our staff. The staff member was a credit to the business. Cheerful, helpful and polite.
- Andrew (10/5): - Good bed and pillows
- Tim (10/5): - Was a quiet clean hotel, decent rooms and close to everything. My only issue was that renovations were going on at hotel so was a bit noisy during the day.
- Steve (10/5): - Very fair for the price, have recommended to friends and will be staying there again on my next visit.
- Julie (8/5): - Fantastic location for walking to Optus Stadium and easy CAT bus ride to city centre. Quiet and safe place with easy parking. Bed was a bit old and tired/uncomfortable but room was great apart from that. Linen and towels spotless.
- Germayyy (10/5): Less is more in my book - Pending review
Accommodation close to the essential services. Rooms clean, working air conditioning and shower functional. Staff friendly and informative on arrival. Secure parking. Beds comfortable. Basic but that's all I need. Second time I've stayed here for music concert. Will stay again.
Note - there is no pool.
- Anthony (8/5): - Fine for a night or two, basic and straight forward accommodation.
The outside area can get a bit noisy and the deposit for incidentals seemed disproportionately high given I was only staying one night.
Front door doesn’t open unless you’ve got a card and staff could be a bit friendlier. Motel is near to bus stops which means free buses to city centre which was helpful.
