Guest Reviews
- Demi (10/5): - Healed my weary tired soul. If you are wishing hoping for peace and quiet? This is the place. Their food is heavenly. The coffee, ice cream? So good!
- James (10/5): - Was disappointed that the bees are no longer there due to extreme weather. Even so, still a wonderful stay. Food is incredible. I highly recommend the ice cream for breakfast and dinner. Staff are very kind and professional. Beautiful views. Highly recommend.
- Demi (10/5): - Staffs are unbeleivably helpful with everything. The room is clean and smells homey. It looks like they had some rennovations done. Water pressure is way better this time. Very peaceful and quiet. I stayed at Dauis room. A/c is working properly. The food in the restaurant is very delicious in my own boşayan ilongga standard. It’s filling and I tell you, they are very generous with their portions! Staffs are so polite. The only thing I am not happy with is the slow internet. But I get by. I didn’t do anything much but sleep, eat, watch videos on you tube, virtually did nothing! I enjoyed their snacks, the ice cream, their coffee! This resort healed my tired, overstimulated soul…thank you Bohol Bee Farm, definitely will come back again next time.
- Gennady (10/5): - Great room and restaurant is excellent 👌
- Copper (10/5): - The perfect quiet retreat.
- Stacey (6/5): - The rooms are nice as well as the property. However, they make it sound as if it has more to offer, it is basically a hotel with a gift shop. You cannot swim in front of the property, in fact getting to the water you go down wooden steps that are not well maintained. The food for breakfast is awful and limited, scrambled eggs are sitting in what looks like uncooked eggs; and they need to cover the food to prevent flies from landing on it. The dinner options are plentiful and everything I ate was wonderful. DO NOT schedule any tours through them, they will rip you off. A Bohol Countryside Tour I could've booked online would've been $53USD, which included everything; transportation, entrance fees, and tour boat with meal. Instead of booking this I went through the Bee Farm and they charged $63USD and made me pay all my entrance fees and the fee for the boat tour with meal; adding at least another $26. They truly didn't do anything other than arrange a car for me, the driver was very nice; however, he is NOT a tour guide and of the $63 USD they charged they only paid him approx $21USD, this is astounding as they did nothing and kept $52 just to make a phone call. They didn't want to give me clean towels after being there for 4 days and using them at the pool as well. The pool is amazing; however, there are no lounge chairs just really uncomfortable chairs made from tree branches without any cushions. It took multiple tries to get service at the pool.
- Jenna (10/5): Lovely stay - Food was incredible, spa treatments amazing and great value. Would recommend doing the tour to see and learn about all their different produce.
- NERISSA (10/5): - Food are great. More organic especially the ice cream made from malunggay
- James (10/5): - Can’t believe how kind and accommodating the entire staff is. From front desk to the restaurant and entire property. The food and ice cream is great.
We can’t wait to be able to come back
- Cecilia (4/5): - Nice resort, big rooms, food is great, staffs are nice. They even pack your breakfast if you are going on a tour early. But the problem, there’s cockroaches and ants in the room. The room wasn’t properly cleaned. Pushy vendors near the water where the restaurant is.
- Stephen (8/5): Home visit after 3 years - A great short break to visit friends and family in Bohol.
Bee Farm fitted our needs perfectly
- Lucy (10/5): - Thank you for helping us feel at home👌😊
- Jeremy (10/5): - Had a garden room. Garden was beautiful. Room had a rustic wood feeling to it as it a nicely decorated wooden room. Food at restaurant was excellent. Staff super helpful. Rented a scooter .
- Jeff (8/5): - (From Vancouver - 65-70yr couple) We came to Bohol Bee Farm (BBF) as a first stop in our 5 week Philippine trip, The idea was to stay at a resort style place for the first 3 days of acclimatizing. This went well.
BBF is something of a tourist stop with a variety of things to look at. The hotel occupancy was VERY low, but the staff are VERY friendly, helpful, and plentiful.
The food in the restaurant it great, particularly the fantastic salads!
Note: There is no longer a "Bee" segment to this business, but more of a agricultural eco-tourism basis.
The whole place is well maintained, our room was large and clean with good A/C.
The location is a bit isolated, but well served by tuktuks.
Recommended!
- Ian (10/5): - Large rooms and beautiful surroundings. There is a language barrier which is prohibitive .I would like to see paintings for sale ,the beer colder ,thankyou for 6 days of Bliss
- MeiIsabella (10/5): - The facility is huge and it is beautiful sea views from our ocean view room. The food and ice cream are exceptional. Really enjoyed it👍
- Chris (8/5): - Our room was upgraded - it was huge - very pleasant. It was nice to have a balcony and fridge. The location of the restaurant was excellent, the only negative being that there was building work next to it, this created noise and prohibited access to the beach. A pleasant stay.
- Joymie (8/5): - Food was great and close to the airport.
- Raymond (10/5): - Great place to stay, eat and go out into the island from. Very helpful for everything you need. Love this place.
- Cheryl (10/5): - I love this hotel because it was all I expected for a farm theme all natural, organic foods.
They have a variety of organic ice cream flavors all made at the farm. Even the bread spread and honey were all home made. Bring all the food or drinks you prefer, stores are far and you have to pay 300 pesos for transportation to get out of the farm. Staff are very accommodating.
Not much activity in the farm. Swimming pool open until 9pm
- Demi (8/5): - Cheap. Internet super slow. Outdated. Room clean and old. Water pressure slow. my room has no elevator. Food is super delicious in my opinion. Loved the sikwate, puto maya. The organic green salad is a must. Any fish dish is delicious. Tinola is must try! Coffee is good. Ambiance is so organic. Ice cream is unforgettable. beware of booking a tour ride. If you cancel without notice they will charge you ( they use separate outside company for tours ) please make sure to have written agreement. I was charge 1,000 pesos when I canceled the morning because my son has stomach problems. the staffs are always nice. Water in the shower taste funny ( a little rusty salty). Food is always delicious to be honest. Will definitely come back.
- Myron (10/5): - Second stay here. Super nice layout and wonderfully quiet and peacfull; especially at night.
- Ramon (8/5): - Staff was welcoming, open to changes and wishes of the client. I had a wonderful stay!
- Pauline (10/5): Absolute must! - I loved this hotel. The rooms are quaint, the layout means the cottages are private and quiet. The restaurant overlooks the sea and the food is lovely. The homemade ice cream, that you can watch being made, is delicious (I had avacado and spicy ginger) thick and creamy and the gift shop and being able to watch crafts people writing is just fab. All the staff were helpful and friendly and I would definitely recommend and stay again. Thank you.
- Dexter (10/5): - Bohol Bee Farm offers a delightful stay with its spacious rooms, attentive staff, and the restaurant’s stunning ocean views. It’s a perfect blend of comfort, hospitality, and scenic dining.
- Emily (10/5): - Let me start off by saying that we had originally only booked two nights at Bee Farm but once we got there we loved it so much we ended up staying 6 nights instead. The food here was amazing, the staff was very attentive and friendly, the views were beautiful and the property was so unique and fun to walk around. Such a memorable experience!
- Bill (10/5): - IT was very eco, lot of things to see on property
- Michael (10/5): - If you want to stay at a place that’s personable, good service, and a property that has a lot of character; the Bee Farm is an excellent choice. Also great value for the money. Our room was oversized with a large shower and a nice sitting area/ porch.
- Angelita (10/5): - Environmental friendly
- Marissa (10/5): MdR - If you want to relax this is the place. At night all you hear are crickets. The place has a rustic charm. They serve delicious healthy food. The breakfast was the best.
I enjoyed their beach so much, very private only for check in guest. Bring your own snorkeling gear to enjoy the marine life.
- Lyneth (10/5): - Highly recommend
- Edwin M. (8/5): - The internet is slow and the aircon vent is towards the bed
- Lyneth (10/5): - Superb stay! You should stay here too
- Rizalyn (2/5): - It is like a sauna but after people use it, the bed is not a place i will recommend
- Dariette (10/5): - Wonderful gem. Staff was polite and grounds showcased beauty of natural surroundings. Will definitely be back again!
- Raffy (10/5): - Home away from home. From staff, to accommodation and food…this place never disappoints. It’s also lovely to see a lot of community work and the hustling of so many craftsmen happen inside the resort complex. Definitely coming back :)
- Demi (10/5): - This place is old, a strong country feel. If you are into 5 star treatment its not for you.i have spiders and gecko in my bathroom. You could only hear crickets and lizards. The room is spacious, and very old feel. That makes it so special. My balcony view has a forest vibe.green garden and blooms every where. You must try their home made ice cream..to die for! And their “ calamay”. The restaurant has the best organic everything. I had “ arroz caldo” twice in a row in the morning. The coffee? My god, the best! And better drink it while enjoying the morning view in their restaurant over looking the ocean…will definitely comeback.
- David (10/5): - The staff at the Bee Farm are very friendly, the housekeeping standards are high, there is a nice pool area, and the food at the restaurant is absolutely superb. It is also in a quiet location away from the bustle of places like Alona Beach, which I considered a big positive. Thanks for the great stay!
- James (8/5): - Properties is a little dated but well-maintained rooms are spacious. Staff is helpful and friendly, overall a good value for the money.
- Margaret Gan (10/5): - Great place to unwind and rejuvenate...physically and mentally. The place's simplicity, views and ecologically friendliness is refreshing. A village unto itself. If you're looking for a unique accomodation, this place is it.
- Todd (10/5): - Bohol Bee Farm was an unique experience away from the city. Quiet and peaceful, with a great view.
- Myron (10/5): - Nice place. It set in a remote out of the way area. Very large and really neat. Good food in restaurant.
- Orson (10/5): - clean, quiet, food is superb
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We have a wonderful stay here. We like the views and the nature and character of the resort. It is subjective, what I write, others may not agree, but I do love this place. The staff are always happy to help and always have smiles on their faces.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great stay - Very good service and cozy atmosphere.
- MC (8/5): Great Dive shop! - It’s a nice place but far from everything. Great view while you dine but you have to make reservations. But some people were really loud late into the night which ruined my sleep. I called to complain but they didn’t do anything to stop the racket. It sounds celebratory but people are trying to sleep.
Love the dive shop. Had some nice diving there. And they didn’t charge me extra when my girlfriend wanted to be on the boat with me. Such personal service! Nice ice cream shop, nice tour of the bee farm.
- Jerry (8/5): - The room we had was fantastic. The property was just as good. The staff was courteous, professional, and very friendly. The only flaw we saw was the shower. The water pressure was very low and it took forever to heat up! Otherwise, everything was perfect.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Gorgeous location and food. - Great location with wonderful views, really helpful staff, and a comfortable room. The food was also wonderful!
- Genevieve (10/5): Great experience - woderful stay
- david (10/5): - breath of fresh air in philippines , healthy food, nice people Vicky (owner) very kind soul . God bless her and her efforts🙏
- Mike (10/5): - Nice quiet place. Staff very helpful. I would stay again
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The best place during our trip! :)
- Verified traveler (10/5): Snorkelling right out the front - Positives: Great relaxing feel. Extremely friendly staff. Great fresh, home grown, organic food. Breathtaking view. Wonderful snorkelling right out the front.
Things to consider: lots of stairs, 15min travel to alona beach for restaurant or island day trips, or 25min travel to Tagbilaran for shopping malls.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The property is a quaint and vibrant little village with a great restaurant, a good mission, and charming landscaping and building design.
However, the massage I received in their spa was absolutely terrible and incompetent. And the dive shop communicated terribly, forcing me to travel to Alona and back for dives with other shops. If I had known that I would have booked closer to that scene.
- Ehtisham (10/5): Chill place away from hustle and bustle - Great accommodation for the price you pay, service was good and we like the greenery and surrounding.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - yummy food
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Spacious room, nice shower, TV had a few English channels, the food served in the restaurant is delicious, it's pretty all around, the staff are lovely and helpful, the ice cream is great, not a bad word to say about this place!
- Socorro (10/5): A sweet and pleasant stay - Bohol Bee Farm is a destination in itself. Even if its location is quite remote (as most Panglao resorts by the sea are) there are a lot of activities one can do within the resort. The room we had was very spacious with a sea view to die for! The food was delicious and healthy with good sized portions. Refined sugar was not an option, only raw sugar and a seemingly unlimited supply of honey (of course!). But it's most significant asset is the staff - they were so naturally hospitable, friendly and efficient. We had a most memorable stay!
- Verified traveler (4/5): - It’s an old & dusty place to stay most especially the rooms. Anybody w/ asthma, allergies & cleanliness issues should never book at Bohol Bee Farm resort-hotel. Besides, it’s far from the nice beaches in the area. I guess the place needs ample improvements. Thank you
- Verified traveler (10/5): Perfect stay - This place is perfect for a several night stay. Amazing food, great rooms, perfect temperature pool and easy to organise trips!
- Simon (10/5): Great Food, Friendly Staff - The Bohol Bee Farm is a very pleasant and enjoyable place to stay. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The food is excellent, especially the delicious salads. Yes, it is a bit of a pity that there is no real beach to speak of, but there is a place where you can sunbathe and have a swim. Perhaps it might be a good idea for the Bohol Bee Farm to have a proper playground for families with children. The snorkelling was quite good, with some nice corals and shoals of fish. I would NOT recommend the Whale Shark trip because it means a long boat journey to Cebu and then, if the weather gets rough, you will find yourself stranded overnight on Cebu! This is in fact what happened to us. The management at the Bee Farm were very sympathetic when we told them about what had happened and upgraded us to an "oceanview". This was lovely.
- Carl (8/5): Beautiful resort in a nice environment but... - We liked our stay at Bohol Bee farm, the rooms are very nice and spacious. The views from the restaurant and the sea deck are beautiful. Overall, a nice environment to relax.
These are the things that should be improved to get 5 stars:
The bed is not very confortable (10 cm mattress) and the chairs at the restaurant and the sea deck are not comfortable as well.
The food is ok but not excellent and there are no restaurant close to the resort. You need a motorbike.
- Julien and Abi (10/5): Never disappoints! - We'll always look to turn to Bee Farm. This was our 3rd visit and we can appreciate the way the place has been built up over the years - carefully and tastefully.
The food remains excellent and the variety superb.
The spaces are amazing and craft to encourage people to lounge and relax.
And the goods available at the shop are also wonderful. A fantastic array of food, crafts and other gifts.
The place is generally peaceful, which is why we go, but know that during the days there are busloads of visiting people who will make for a crowded space at lunchtime.
We just hope that some of the corals can recover after the earthquake and are resilient to increasing ocean temperatures and acidification, and that the hotel can stay calm and peaceful enough in future.
- Kenny (10/5): - so far the.place is good. very accomodating staffs. We have enjoy our stay.
- JS (6/5): - Good but woke up with mosquito bites on arms each morning
- Verified traveler (8/5): Been farm - Lovely hotel. Some mix up about cleaning the room but otherwise very good.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Beehive - Bohol Bee Farm is a nice tranquil place in the early morning and after 10 at night. From 830am to 10pm it is invaded by bus loads of noisy, rude, misbehaving tourists who treat the place like one big garbage dump.
- Christy (8/5): Great place for snorkeling! - Hotel staff are very helpful. We got upgraded to a bigger room with ocean view. Food was fantastic!
- Christy (8/5): Perfect for nature lover!!! - Wonderful staff. Awesome food. Great view. overall, we had a great time!
- Neva Jean (8/5): 1 night stay - I have low expectations when I booked a room at this hotel. Fortunately, it was a good decision to stay at this hotel. The staff are friendly, the food is great, the view is amazing, the room is very spacious, and the ice cream is to die for. I will surely stay here again if I go back to bohol.
- Jeremy (8/5): Very charming, lacking cleanliness - Very cute hotel with great food and friendly staff, but the hotel service was not so great. The room was never once cleaned during our 3-day stay and it did not seem too clean when we arrived (used bar of soap, questionable stains on sofa and bed). There was only one channel available on the television and the internet was rather slow, even in the lobby. However, the room was cozy and the surrounding area was nice. The restaurant had fresh, delicious, and healthy food with a nice view of the ocean.Breakfast is served only until 9, but well worth waking up a bit earlier during vacation. The diving shop was great and convenient. The only precaution to take would be the numerous sea urchins when snorkeling. The spa was also relaxing.
All in all the charm of the resort, the area, and the restaurant were wonderful. Unfortunately, the room quality and cleanliness do not fit the price for the room (even for the off-season price).
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The room was great. We love the decoration in it. According to the tour (which is free if you are an in-house guest), the decorations used was from made through manual weaving.
The restaurant was likewise great. Good ambience, stunning view and the food is superb. We loved the seafood pasta and the cheese pizza. Ice cream are good too. My favorite flavor is Guyabano.
Unfortunately, jacuzzi is not working so we were not able to use them even though according to the staff, we are free to use it.
- Sian (10/5): great place to stay - Only stayed one night. Got upgraded to an ocean view room which was lovely.... Really big and spacious. Site is very busy with lots of tours of the farm ,and people coming to eat in the restaurant. Very friendly place, great things for sale in the shop. The only downside was breakfast. Not a great selection and everything kept running out! Staff not very efficient in replacing coffe, fresh fruits etc. Had to ask for more coffee even though staff were not busy.
Great ice cream and a nice deck area near the sea. .remember to bring sea shoes as lots of sea urchins in the water, and also bring snorkelling things as you have to hire equipment at the resort ,
- Nadia (10/5): Amazing place - Restaurant is very nice as well, Philippino food is not my favorite - so it was good that the restaurant served some western items like pasta and pizza. The ground beef and beans salad I am pretty sure came from the Sloppy Joe's can and was pretty disgusting, definitely an improvement opportunity. Free breakfast was very good quality - and the best coffee we've had in the Phillipines.
I rented paddle board and my friend tried scuba diving, it was great. The gear was brand new and the instructor was very helpful.
The location is just outside all the touristy areas, but they have a free shuttle that runs to the Alona beach daily, so you can go check it out and realize that you are not missing much.
Overall, I'd definitely stay here again
- Janet (10/5): Rustic, quaint and unique hotel - I did not know what to expect when we got there except that I knew they have an organic farm, raised bees and produced honey and sold homemade ice cream. Well , it was all these and more. I loved its natural setting. It was not so touristy. It had its own character and personality if one can describe a hotel that way. It made use of a lot of the Philippines' natural materials in crafting and decorating our room. The ocean view room had a balcony where you can have a view of the sea any time of the day. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. Being a Filipino at birth, I was right at home in their facilities. The only downside to our stay was the fact that there were a lot of mosquitoes around in the areas where they provided free internet. They do sell organic bug repellent if you are so bothered by the mosquitoes. But I think a quick fix would be to strategically put some citronella plants in these areas to minimize the mosquitoes as a service to their customers. Over-all it was a relaxing and great experience.
- Jenny (8/5): Relaxing hotel - We stayed in a garden room for 3 nights and changed to a family room on the 4th night. I wouldn't recommend the garden rooms as they are budget quality but not all that cheap. The family rooms (We stayed in honeycomb 1 or 2) are a world of difference apart though.
Outdoor jacuzzis are nice, if a little nippy. It seems too much to ask for warm/ hot water in this country
- Verified traveler (8/5): Fine experience - Great room with partial ocean view. Super friendly staff and excellent food, though a bit pricey. Quiet, which is what we wanted. Would stay there again.
- mana (8/5): Uniquely designed relaxing place with amazing food - Loved this place! Very unique concept and we loved the design of the hotel. Our favorite highlights were the spa (massages overlooking the ocean), the bar right on the water for sunset, and of course, the amazing amazing food, ice cream, and gift shop. We found there was plenty to do right at the hotel for an overnight stay. Rooms were simple but nice; bathrooms could use improvement.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent Vacation Place - The staff at Bohol Bee Farm was the best. Since we arrived, we were treated very special. Ruel helped carry our luggages, then gave us a tour of the farm. Everyone was always very pleasant and helpful. The food at the farm is to die for! One of the best food we have tasted in a while. Anyone who will stay at the farm will surely have a great vacation experience.
- Luz (10/5): Cute farm - We had a lovely time. The place is not on the main beach but it has everything that you need for a very relaxing vacation. They have their own souvenir shops, homemade ice cream store, crafts, garden to walk around. Going to the main beach or anywhere else is not a problem.
- Verified traveler (8/5): unique getaway - Good food and value for the money. We loved our room with a lovely sea view room. Kind staff, unique. Needs a proper outdoor pool and comfortable outdoor furniture.
- RM (10/5): Nice view on top of hill resort near Dumuluan Bch. - Bohol Bee Farm was a pleasant surprise from the moment we arrived til last day. Jr suite accommodations w nice working a/c, separate stone shower & toilet w a bedet a plus👍🏻
Food at LanTaw resort restaurant and room Srvc was good. The complimentary mango/pesto spreads w warm squash bread is my nephew's new fav we had to buy few jars at their store! Also can't easily forget their yummy homemade ice cream served on Cassava waffle cone n avocado mango shakes for dessert 😋
Overall, was a great holiday away fr huddle bustle of busy Manila. Will def come back and highly recommend to others. Thank you for a relaxing stay.
PS. Would be nice if jacuzzi would be warm next time😉
