Guest Reviews
- Edward (1/5): I got charged by Booking.com and the hotel! I still haven’t received my refund!! - No breakfast! Process of checking in!
- Aurelia (4/5): - They don’t clean the sheets they have stains on pillows and blankets
- Charles (2/5): - Booking wasn’t available
- Verified traveler (10/5): Early check inn - Good service had a friend cone into town unexpectedly an the allowed early check inn.
- John (10/5): Great showering hole - It was to use shower
- Natasha (2/5): WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER! Key to somebody's room! - I got to this hotel, the front desk person was so new it appears as though he didnt know what he was doing.
I ended up getting my key, i had to ask if there was wifi. Only to get to the room and a man was naked on his bed IN THE ROOM I WAS ASSIGNED!
I was so terrified I flew back downstairs and demanded a refund to leave that place.
WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER!
The front desk person did not even apologize!
- Justin (8/5): - It was definitely clean by my standards. In this price range especially. My problem with this Palace Inn is the hotel across from it. They'll let anyone stay and do whatever they want.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Large spacious rooms. Didn't like dirty restroom and sink area. Bug's, hair, dirt, dirty wash cloths and towels
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice hotel
- Harry (10/5): Minor improvements for happier customers - Everything was excellent, but a few thing could have been better. Everyone in our group mentioned:
1. Bedspreads need to be heavier & washable.
2. Maids need to rub shower-heads w/vinegar monthly to remove calcium.
3. Minimum of bananas & packaged oatmeal at breakfast.
4. Consistent room rates; people booking later got better rates
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Room was clean cool & comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel and I will be staying here again in the future. Great value.
- James (2/5): - Not so good
- Steph (2/5): - I had a to change room because the bathtub was dirty and on the second room the bedsheets was dirty too!!
- Iris (8/5): - Nice, clean. Housekeeping staff a little rude, but otherwise my stay was decent.
- John (6/5): Nice hotel bad staff. - Staff was very unfriendly and didn’t seem to know what they were doing. Maybe a language barrier.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great stay! - Great, comfortable and clean.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The rooms are very nice and clean and plenty of space
- Jessica (8/5): - It was Surprisingly clean and up to date. Love the fridge and microwave in the rooms
- Ro (10/5): - Enjoyed my stay! Room was clean, check in was friendly and helpful. Would stay here again
- Verified traveler (2/5): - the night check in clerk was incredibly rude. I booked this because my 22 year old missed his flight in Houston, the clerk just kept yelling at him that he didn't have a reservation, even after we gave him the itinerary number. He yelled at me when I got him on the phone. He told me he had NO reservations, really? a hotel that has NO reservations? he demanded more money than we had reserved for, my son had no choice but to pay -- since he had already spend $30 on an Uber ride to this hotel. I called Travelocity customer service, there wasn't much they could do. Very disappointing.
- Nicole (10/5): Happy customer - Hot water doesn't stay warm long enough was my only issue.
- Kristal (4/5): - The owners were rude, very short with us. The room was clean but simple things like a TV remote were not provided, there was no blankets just a super thin over sheet.
- Chris (10/5): - Very clean.....spotless! I stayed here several months ago and have been extremely impressed with the cleanliness both times.
- Toni (2/5): Can you at least clip the cockroaches wings? - When we arrived the clerk was so rude because it was so late at night. He acted as if it were a problem to deal with us. After having been on the road traveling for more than 12 hours we were exhausted and just wanted rest. We walk into our room and there are 3 HUGE flying cockroaches in our room just posted up on the bed. I am completely disgusted by this time and I asked for a refund or a sanitized room and the man laughed in our faces and said “No refund!!! You stay here you stay in that room. Only room I have.” That was clearly a lie since we were one of the 4 vehicles in the parking lot.
- Chris (10/5): - I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the room. It was outstanding.
- Jennifer (8/5): Excellent Hotel - I don't normally give reviews of things, but I gotta say I was just very impressed by the Palace Inn. The room was spacious and the price is excellent.
- Laura (6/5): - It was clean, but lacking in amenities. No kleenex, towels very small. Breakfast is a joke.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice large room. Comfortable bed, very clean.
The only issue I had was the price but compared to other locations it was the cheapest I could find. Not bad for a two star hotel.
- william (10/5): - Was very pleased with accommodation would recommend to anyone
- Robert (8/5): Very Nice - Quite pleased to find the hotel had been completely remodeled. I've stayed in pricier hotels that weren't as nice. Only drawback was in spite of having a refrigerator and microwave in the rooms, there was NO COFFEE MAKER? That would have made everything perfect, but I WILL Stay here again!
- Estelle (10/5): Great Stay - Having worked in hotels before, my first thing was to examine the room for cleanliness. It passed the test! The staff was very helpful from front desk to housekeeping. I would reserve another room there if needed.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Bed bugs, and lots of them - Room looked nice. Got bed bugs. Bad. Still dealing with the bits
- Verified traveler (10/5): Would definitely stay again! - This place was wonderful! Far exceeded my expectations. The room has everything you need and the location is perfect. My only suggestion would be a thicker comforter for the bed.
- nJ (4/5): No coffee maker seriously? - Front desk was rude. There was no coffee maker in the room. And my TV was stuck on a porn site. Classy.
- Rhonda (8/5): Comfortable - It was comfortable and clean
- susie q (8/5): nice place because it is close to relatives - comfortable place to stay, convenient place for us.
- John (8/5): Convenient and economical. - Spotless, apparently newly renovated. Architectural ceramic tile on bathroom walls and floor. New carpet, new furniture, freshly painted walls, comfortable bed.
- jaylee (8/5): Nice really nice - The was a great location. The hotel is fairly new. The room was spacious and clean. I didn't like the thin comforter or the fact there was not a clock. But there was a dvd player.
- Lisa (6/5): fair price - ok
- D.E.V (6/5): Quiet, good location for the area of Humble/kingwo - Nice attention at arrival.New private own hotel, clean, confortable roo..coffee inonby. Next morning g experience not so good. When went to the lobby 855am the coffee mac hine was off.The " breakfast"consisted of boxed plastic wrapped honey. buns..there were 3eft , and when. I rung bell at office it looked Ike I woke up the desk person Faciility nice and price ok.. They need more experience to polish the breakfast option..otherwise do. NOT advertise breakfast, just coffee available
- Abel (10/5): Was Nice - Rooms were very nice and owners were to
- Morris (8/5): Convenient - Convenient hotel for spending the night. New facilities and very clean.
- Verified traveler (6/5): New Motel - This motel has outdoor rooms with separate entrances. It is a new facility just off 59/69 Hwy. Very convenient, and there are numerous restaurants and a mall nearby. It does not have a fitness room, nor a laundry facility, and has one outdoor ice machine. The rooms are new and nice. The breakfast is minimal. They just give you a store-bought muffin. If you want a better breakfast, go somewhere else.
There's a body shop behind the hotel, and some teenage kids ride their dirt bikes and ATV's up and down the drive, and it's really loud. The police had to be called twice, to get them to quit riding at 2:30 AM on our last night there.
But, the facility was safe and secure, and there is a convenience store/gas station right across the street. The people there were very friendly and accommodating, and the rooms were cleaned well.
- William (8/5): Pleasantly Surprised - Perfect if your on a budget for business. I've paid more & gotten less. The room was clean, wi-fi worked perfect, & it was quiet at night. Not luxurious by any means, but I'd stay there again...if need be
- cleo (4/5): very disappointed - Stayed one night at start of trip and one night at the end of trip. First stay was great in every way. Second night very poor. Booked king handicapped room 4 months in advance. They did not have one available for us, they gave it to someone else that day and the only room left was a double on the second floor with no elevator!! Room was to be non smoking, but had several burn holes in linen, bugs in linen, only one towel and dirty ice bucket with no plastic bag. Staff rude. Interesting what conditions were only 4 days apart!
- lebie (8/5): Clean, quiet - Held reservations until after midnight after our flight was delayed 5 times
- Rod N (8/5): - Clean and comfortable motel for the price, the only negative is the breakfast, when you book it says it's included but they don't even offer it, when asked was given banana bread, that's it.
- Michael (2/5): - Very filthy not pleased at all
- JR (6/5): The THANKGIVING Palace - New and very clean,,, turned on TV and porn movie came on had to find Tv sheet to figure out how to get them off,,,,woke up first morning to Lawn mowers and leaf blowers around 7:30 am. Asked for Quite room at Check in, Heard truck and motorcyles turning the night,,,Coffee was Great as I needed plenty of it !!!!!!!!!!!
- Helga (2/5): You should consider staying somewhere else! - Suggest that you stay somewhere else than here! Wi-Fi never did work even after asking for them to reboot the modem. The first room they gave us had the beds made up, when you drew back the covers to reveal that one of the beds had hair and soiled linen from someone else sleeping in the bed previously. Asked the desk for new linen and they indicated that the bed was clean and to use it. We indicated that the bed had hair and soiled linen. After persisting they gave us a 2nd room and this room was made up the same but when we drew back the sheets there was stains & hair in the 2nd room (only a guess but could have possibly from someone renting the room by the hour?). The room had towels for 2 people only & we were 4 people. On request they did give us extra 2 towel sets. The breakfast consisted of freeze dried coffee (or Hot water but no Tea Bags) and a one bite muffin or a pre-packaged cinnamon horn. No fruit, no margarine / butter, No Water. The location does not have any other restaurants within walking distance but does have a Gas Station you may be able to get something from (that is if you get there before they close at 11:00 pm) The hotel seems a bit overpriced for what you get.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Nothing fancy but comfortable - Room was clean and comfortable. If you're looking for a hot breakfast you'll need to go elsewhere. It's strictly muffins and honeybuns.
