The service was however slow - we had to call 3 time to have drinks delivered to our room. And the breakfast service was slow and the breakfast front of house manager/waitress was off-hand. The property itself is absolutely stunning—elegant, peaceful, and beautifully maintained. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable: warm, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful. The staff made us feel welcomed and well cared for throughout our stay. The food we had was delicious and well-prepared, but the menu options were a bit limited, especially if you’re staying more than a couple of nights or have dietary restrictions. That said, the quality was excellent, and the presentation was top-notch. The location worked very well for us. It’s just slightly outside the hustle of central Bath, which made it feel more like a relaxing retreat, while still being convenient to get into town. Overall, we would definitely recommend The Bath Priory for anyone looking for a luxurious, peaceful stay with first-class service. A few more dining options would make it perfect.

We had scheduled 4 nights there but our visit was cut short a day because of a cancelled flight. So we never had a day to sit back and enjoy the lovely facility. We had scheduled long day trips for our 2nd, 3rd and last day there.
- Louise (8/5): Bath priory - The service from the staff was fantastic. Particularly the lovely lady on reception. The spa was also nice, very clean and well maintained. The food, drinks etc were all very good! Our only issue was that the room was very hot with no air con and the windows are fixed so they can’t be opened very far. We were so hot we hardly slept.

- Richard (8/5): Lovely Stay in Bath with Room for Improvement - Bath is a beautiful town, and the hotel was in the perfect location. We were also lucky to have fantastic weather during our stay. The hotel has a beautiful garden, which was lovely to relax in. The room, however, could use a little attention. There was a nearly dead plant on the table, a broken curtain, and a stained carpet, which took away from the overall experience. I would probably stay there again, but a bit of maintenance and care would go a long way.

Lovely gardens at the hotel to walk around. Plenty of free parking in the grounds as well. We would definitely stay again 👍

- Carolyn (10/5): Birthday Celebration - My husband and I stayed at The Bath Priory Hotel to celebrate my birthday. It was truly wonderful and I was disappointed when we had to leave to go home. All of the staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. Our room, 'Apple Blossom,' was superb with a stunning view of the garden. The bed was really comfortable and the tea and coffee facilities excellent. We really enjoyed the breakfast and took the opportunity to sample different meals everyday. I would highly recommend the porridge. We are looking to return in the Summer where we will be able to experience the garden in all it's glory and enjoy the outdoor swimming pool.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Perfect Weekend Stay! - From the moment we arrived, our stay was perfect. Everything has been thought through; very kind room upgrade, birthday gift and card on arrival, radio playing Classic FM on entry into the room. It was all exceptional! Room size was very good and the small table and chairs by the window made for a lovely morning coffee overlooking the grounds. Every member of staff we encountered were friendly and helpful and this made for a wonderful atmosphere across the whole hotel. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay and we definitely will be back!

We had room upgrade and this room had everything, as well as a shower there was a bath in the bedroom very quirky. We need to return and next time make it for longer.

We enjoyed a lunch on the terrace, coffee and pastries in the drawing room & evening drinks in the hotel. We didn’t get to use the spa facilities or eat in the hotel restaurant (definitely will on our next visit). Our room was comfortable and clean and with a garden view at the back of the hotel, so lovely and quiet, and a really good nights sleep. We would highly recommend this hotel. - Anthony (10/5): - Wonderful hotel, with excellent spa and restaurant.
- Chris (8/5): - The Priory was smaller than expected, and it felt quiet which was nice. We had a basic double room overlooking the courtyard. The room was warm, but had a fan. The traffic was noisey, but not too bad overnight with the windows shut. The spa area was nice, and not too busy. There is a sauna, and a steam room, but the steam room was out of order. The spa area could be accessed easily, and without going through reception. The breakfast was good, and the staff friendly. Its a fair walk to the town, but Taxi's are really quick to arrive if it's raining or you don't want to walk.
- Kimberly (10/5): - My husband and I stayed here with another friend. It was a gorgeous hotel. The thing that stood out the most was the service. I've never had better service. Their restaurant was exceptional. Realize that like many hotels in England, there's no lift, but their staff brought up our bags. We asked for recommendations of places to go and visit in bath and we were given a long list of options. I don't know how you could be disappointed staying here. It was lovely.

- Paul (10/5): Excellent break in Bath - Excellent service from very attentive staff. Room was very well presented and the pool was pleasant too. Unfortunately the steam room was not working during our visit.
- Andrew (10/5): - We had a lovely one night stay for our anniversary. The staff were so kind and friendly throughout. The room was to a very high standard. The spa was amazing. Both indoor and outdoor pools were slightly salted and really clean. Nice to go for a swim before breakfast! The chef was very accommodating with meal preferences for dinner and breakfast. The garden was really pretty and peaceful. We liked that quite a few of the fruit and veg in the restaurant were grown in the kitchen garden. The only thing was the ventilation fan from the hotel kitchen that could be heard quite loud in our bathroom but it wasn't on overnight. The bed was really comfortable so we had a good sleep. Thank you for a very special stay.

- MANISH (10/5): - It’s very much a unique property with beautiful warm and cosy main rooms. Our bedroom was outstanding- overlooking the garden and well catered for. However my only gripe would be some the communal areas were looking tired and as did the main restaurants.

- hannah (8/5): Nice stay but more 4* - Nice stay. Kitty on reception was lovely, welcoming and very helpful and accommodating. She remembered it was my partners birthday the next morning and before she left for the night she must have passed on the message to the kitchen as when we ordered breakfast as room service there was a birthday card and a freshly baked banana chocolate chip muffin on our tray with a happy birthday chocolate. Lovely touch. Comfortable bed. Complementary upgrade appreciated. Nice breakfast. Room wasn’t super clean. Bath had streaky stains so didn’t want to have a bath. Some dust and debris on the carpets. Swimming pool was small but a nice temp. Was expecting more from a spa to be honest. Gardens lovely. Outdoor pool quite small and looked a little old. Couldn’t book a spa treatment due to staffing issues.

- Brendan (10/5): Perfect Hotel for a Relaxing Weekend Stay in Bath - Stunning location & surroundings. Very Professional staff, Kitty was our first contact at reception. She made us feel very welcome. Really enjoyed the pool, sauna & steam room. Robe & slippers provided. A discreet staircase to the Spa & Pool area was very convenient. Very relaxing atmosphere. Gorgeous decor to start with, plenty of social areas to enjoy. Our room was perfect. Attention to detail, with everything you need. An entrance hall with hanging & luggage space. Main bedroom included ample-spaced wardrobe & ambient music from the radio. Amazing views from our room, overlooking the stunning gardens along with a mini balcony. Love the L'Occitane toiletries, shampoo etc. Although no body-wash was included. Clever touches that each room was named after a flower. We were in the rooom named "Heather" Lovely & quiet at night. However, we were woken in the early morning by a drone/noise or aircon/extractor fan which was slightly annoying. This was the only negative to our stay. The bed was very comfortable. Portable Aircon unit & fan provided in room also. Staff were very attentive. When checking-out we were welcomed to enjoy the garden or pool for the remainder of the day. You were treated like a Celebrity. Superb service all around. Option to have breakfast delivered to your room, was also a nice touch. Great breakfast menu. Also able to pre-order your breakfast, the night before. A morning newspaper was delivered to your room. Excellent.

- Antoine (6/5): - We stayed for 1 night beautiful hotel but very noisy. You can hear the street traffic and our room was above a service area, they stopped making noise at 1am and they had deliveries at 7am. No sleep! Aside from the noise very nice staff, clean hotel. But for the money >£250 per night the noise is unacceptable.
- Verified traveler (10/5): A comfortable stay, gorgeous hotel - A gorgeous old hotel with lovely grounds, it's a pity the weather wasn't good enough for us to sit outside and enjoy the surroundings with a drink! The staff couldn't do enough to help and our room was very comfortable, overlooking the garden. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of different choices, all delicious. We ate in the bar one evening and again the food was delicious. The hotel is about a mile outside the centre of Bath, a lovely walk through the park. I would highly recommend this hotel. ht
- Matthew (6/5): - Nice hotel, reasturant over priced for what you get. £200 for x2 start and mains. Fillet dish is £48 for 2 bits of meat massively overpriced. Service charge included on meals which was poor as they never came to get drink orders and we had to ask for more drinks
- Paul (6/5): - The property was fine. But with no air conditioning made the stay quiet unpleasant. Far too hot in the rooms.
- Peter (2/5): - I enjoyed the grounds, which had plenty of chil out areas. The staff are helpful and room was spacious and clean. However, on my last night I did have scallops in the fine dining restaurant as my starter, which tasted lovely but when I checked out in the morning I realised the scallops gave me food poising. Sadly, I don't think a return stay will come any time soon. Certainly not worth the £1,877 for two nights stay with breakfast and dinner for two.
