• Megan (7/5): Great location, small room - Great location, easy walk to the theatre. Much quieter than expected. Beds were quite hard and ours was shoved right in the corner so one of us had to sleep up against a wall, we had a terrible sleep. Room was very pokey.

We had a room facing Enmore road, which is a very busy road 24/7. there is absolutely no sound proofing and it felt like our bed was in the middle of the road. I did not sleep all night. Also the room smelled wet and stuffy. The ceiling had water marks, so I assume it’s wet

• Mathew (10/5): I had a great stay and would come again if I needed a room in the area. - I really enjoyed the room and the complimentary drinks and snacks were amazing Bed was not soft enough for my liking and no face washers or tissues in the room.

The room was compact although comfortable enough for our needs for a seven night stay. Room was serviced daily & the complementary coffee/ mini bar at reception was a nice inclusion. The rubbery floor coverings in the room were weird, be aware the property is under a flight path to the airport, we personally were not overly bothered being a bit of an aero·​phile (there is a 11pm to dawn curfew). Located in a busy area, there were a few noisy late night weekend revellers around the property. Surprised when the full cost of our stay was withdrawn a couple of days before checking in although this was more because I hadn’t the emails fully. Overall the stay was without any major issues, We would stay again when next visiting Newtown.

• Suza (8/5): Pleasant and great location. - Location was great as it was near the Enmore theatre, lots of eateries and complimentary beer and snacks at the hotel was a pleasant surprise. Also having the cafe next door was convenient. Staff were very friendly. Very noisy as we had the room that faced the street. Under the bed was dusty. No hooks to hang towels in the bathroom. Second bedside table would be advantageous.

• Mahalya (4/5): Lukewarm shower noisy and bright lights in room 215 made it uncomfortable.great location, clean and cool urban interior. - Comfy bed, interior design, location. This was my third stay and the first time I’ve had a negative experience. I stayed in room 215 which looked out into the interior water garden area. That area was lit very brightly all night and despite the blackout curtains the light leaked into the room , waking me whenever I rolled over to face the window. I got up several times in the night to try to adjust the curtains. The room is far from the lifts but there were very loud footsteps going back and forth until late at night that vibrated in the room and sounded as if there was someone in the room. They were not from the outside corridor as I got up to check but perhaps related to the nearby service area where the laundry carts were? In the morning the hot water in the shower became warm 5 minutes into my shower so I had to turn the cold off and have a lukewarm shower. I mentioned the bright light the noise and the hot water issue to the woman on the desk at checkout but she just nodded and made no attempt to apologise or offer anything in compensation.

• Sally (8/5): would stay here again. enjoyed the urban theme of the hotel - great black out curtain comfy beds and pillows loved the selection of pillows spacious rooms - much bigger than normal hotels kitchen facilities were very usefule great location - near lots of restaurants can't do much about it but other guests yelling in the corridor and it echoed. also possibly staff putting things on the ground which made loud noises

• Baigalimaa (8/5): Great location and attentive staff. Well worth the money. - The hotel was very close to the train station and only a couple of stops to downtown Sydney. The rooms are equipped with small kitchenette. The staff were very friendly and accommodating to my requests. The room i stayed had a small window and didn't get much of sunlight. Also i would have appreciated if disposable slippers were provided in the rooms.
• Sarah (8/5): In the heart of Newtown - great compact inner city hotel - amazing location, compact modern rooms, great friendly staff. a bit "no frills". Ie no ice machine, small twin rooms but great artwork everywhere and cool inner-city vibe. Kitchenette is a nice addition. More suited to couples or singles than friend-cations due to room size but if you don't mind getting cozy the location and access to great bars, restaurants and the Enmore Theatre could not be better.

The little kitchen with everything you need to cook and wash the dishes, what you need for ironing, the free afternoon drink (a very welcoming little detail) etc. The noise of the street. But I understand that for a prime location, it is difficult to have perfection.

Complimentary body wash, shampoo and conditioner is a plus when travelling. Hair dryer was great. Our room 214 did not have great water pressure or water drainage. The dishwashing detergent needs to be upgraded to a decent brand that removes fatty food. We prefer for the room to have a toaster. Please ask staff to top up tea bags each day with English Breakfast tea. We find we have to purchase our own.

• Scott (9/5): Perfect location, clean and convenient, friendly helpful staff. I choose stay there regularly. - Location. Cleanliness. Staff great. There was a mix up with the billing. I'd booked 3 nights for one fixed rate but was initially charged a significantly higher rate, closer to 3 individual nights. The difference was around $400. No sure what went wrong, but the upside was the staff fixed it very quickly.
