- Wendy (9/5): - Never judge a book by its cover. We have stayed at Playford Tavern a few times now. Beds we're comfy, room a good size. We have also eaten at the Tavern, staff were very accommodating and helpful, meals generous and very affordable, lots of choices. Although it was ok for us, it is only suitable for those who can climb stairs.

- Steve (7/5): My stay was pleasant & I would stay there again for work. - Plenty of parking for my truck & within view of my room. Rooms are secure from hotel patrons & are nice simple clean rooms close to the bistro. Very friendly & nice staff. Meal was overpriced for what I had, a steak that thin should only ever be on a burger or steak sandwich & while it doesn't reflect on the room or the service the fact that I could get a full meal on the premises was one of the factors in my booking.
No outdoor area for smokers, had to go outside the establishment to have a smoke.
Though affordable & practical for my particular needs I think it may be a little overpriced for the location.
- Karina (8/5): -
- Paula (10/5): -
- Marlin (4/5): - To start with my room absolutely wreaked of cigarettes, at check in they specifically said no smoking in the room. Too bad the last 10 guest's had already done it.
Down stairs wasn't much better, whilst trying to chew through the toughest steak I'd eaten in quite some time, i listened to a staff member swear, curse and complain about other members of staff to a manager who wasn't smart enough to shut it down and continue somewhere in private.
This place is rough as they come, I will never visit again.
- Sarah (9/5): Would stay again - Clean and comfortable Walls are thin so you can hear everything

- shan (10/5): Staff exceptional - Liked that it was upstairs with a card access only door before stairs and rooms. Felt safe and secure. Got a beautiful meal down stairs and I can not fault the staff !! The staff were by far the friendliest I have met in a long time. Thank you for making our sad trip (funeral) comfortable and inviting
- skye (5/5): -
- Tracie (10/5): - Room was clean and bed was really comfortable. There was a problem on check in and the room had been double booked but the staff were very helpful and organised us another room and compensation. Food was great. Would stay here again.
- Maxwell (1/5): Dissapointing - I can't say I liked anything when you arrive after booking weeks in advance, get confirmation emails the day before and on the day of arrival only to find when you arrive that you booking is an already occupied room and no other rooms available !!!!
I guess the only positive was the refund being made immediately without fuss and then being able to find a hidden Gem in Lyndoch Motel last minute which was awesome. I can't say I liked anything when you arrive after booking weeks in advance, and get confirmation on the day and day before arrival only to arrive, check in, be given the door card to the room, go up to room open door to find other people's stuff scattered all through the room and obviously being stayed in.
Just handing out secure door cards to other poeples rooms also bring security into question.
30 minutes of back and foring they didn't know what was going on, then be told they have no availability, having to find alternate accomodation at the very last minute in a non familiar area.
No I would not recommend booking this place based on this experience.

- Robert (8/5): Nice busy place and super clean room - Great night, room comfortable and good food at the pub too even if we waited quite a long time for our meal (they offered us a free drink to apologise so it was all good) They forgot our meals at the pub so we waited almost 1.5 hours for our meal... gave us a free drink, we were ok with that, but if we were tired or in a rush it could have been a bit too long
- Gail (10/5): Exceptional -
- Moya (8/5): Very good -
- Tamara (10/5): Exceptional - The one free drink per guest.
- Kym (8/5): Very good -
