• Frances (4/5): - Fishing Lodge Cap Cana es muy bueno y bonito. El área de la piscina espectacular. El servicio, el personal, la comida estupenda. Los alrededores hermosos y todo muy limpio. Buenos restaurantes y buen ambiente. El alojamiento lo conseguimos a través de Booking por lo que el dueño del apartamento no tiene que ver con el hotel. Al llegar a la propiedad, la misma estaba sucia, con olor a humedad, paredes sucias, cuadros llenos de polvo, toallas viejas y manchadas, sábanas con manchas amarillas, baño sucio, inodoro amarillo, cocina llena de polvo y costra en el fregadero. Zafacones sucios, terraza llena de escrementos de pájaros, muebles mal cuidados, tablillas de los closets llenos de polvos en fin una propiedad en donde el dueño no invierte para tenerla en su mejor condición. Excesivamente caro $450,00 la noche y no incluye ni tan siquiera unas toallas dignas de secarse. Ni de cortesía dos botellas de agua ofrecen. Al llegar a la propiedad lo primero que hice fue escribirle e informarle al dueño que la propiedad necesitaba limpieza y no contestó. Tuve que someter la queja a Atención al cliente en booking para que pudiera responder a la petición de limpieza. La propiedad #2019 del Fishing lodge , el dueño debe reconocer que para pedir mucho dinero por una estancia debe de invertir un un poco de dinero y ofrecer al inquilino una estadía digna al valor de la propiedad.

Me gustó mucho. Tuvimos la suerte de disfrutar de un apartamento con vistas increíbles. Me gusto todo. Se podría mejorar el cuidado de la "Calle Común" ya que es la que se usa de servicio, mercancías, etc. y estaba un poco descuidada y sucia junto a las puertas de servicio.

La puerta corrediza de la sala no tiene la cortina black out para la privacidad. No hay caja de seguridad. La ducha estaba rota. El agua salía en dos direcciones. Ya es hora de cambiar el sofá. Es necesario añadir sábanas y toallas adicionales y un televisor en la habitación.

• Monica (1/5): Disappointing mildew situation and in urgent need of updates - Location Property was musty and full of mildew. The bathroom walls had black mold and shower walls. My husband and I both had a terrible allergy from the moment we walked in. The apartment is beautiful and big but in desperate need of maintenance and updates. Furniture is very deteriorated in living room. A/C did not cool and could not be regulated. The bathroom faucets and shower heads very deteriorated. Right bathroom sink clogged. Toilet had big black stain inside. Pillows very uncomfortable. This apartment has tremendous potential but the condition was unacceptable

• Claudia (5/5): Un studio loin d'être idéal pour des vacances. - La proximité de Cap Cana Obtenir la clé à été très compliqué. Seulement avec une application téléphonique qui ne fonctionnait pas. Un taux d'humidité très élevé, tout était était humide, les drap, mes vêtements. La porte du petit frigo était continuellement trempé. Studio mal équipé. La moitié des lampes n'avaient pas d'ampoule ou étaient défectueuses. La toilette ne fonctionnait pas bien. Je ne relouerais jamais à cet endroit.

• Saneei (8/5): We enjoyed our vacation and will come back again! - First of all, I would love to appreciate the support we received from Ricardo (who has been managing the condos) from the very beginning that our booking was confirmed to the time we checked out! He did an amazing job in providing us with as much information as we needed regarding discovering the area, check in, taxis, supermarket and many more... He is excellent at what he does, very quick and fast in responding any questions and very professional! He upgraded our condo with no extra charge! Very generous of him! We were having one bedroom condo which was with a full kitchen, it was supper clean, and it had everything for feeling home! The staff working in the resort are supper polite and professional, they do everything to make you feel safe! The internet worked well as far as we were sitting close to the modem, on the resort there were some spots with no connection. There also were a few very nice restaurants in the resort, a little bit pricy but definitely worth trying! Plus, the resort is located in Cap Cana and Cap Cana seemed very clean, safe and beautiful! The only downside I can mention about the resort is its distance to the beach, we had to take a taxi $4.00-$5.00 (Maximum 10 minute drive) each way to reach to closest beaches in Cap Cana, which worked for us well but probably not very convenient for those who love to be at the beach everyday. There were 2 supermarkets in Cap Cana for which we again had to take a taxi. Traveling outside the resort needs taxies and arrangement for taxi probably is not the easiest thing to do while on vacation. Also, traveling outside Cap Cana by taxi is very pricy!

• Marshall (2/5): very frustrating way to spend a vacation--the listings of the manager should be barred from booking. - Good location, very nice condo, step out to pool area Interior furnishings require replacement, very neglected. tv in living room did not work-----coach in living room a piece of junk, filthy and you hit the floor when you sit in it-----sitting chair has broken legs, non usable----shower full of mold, ----tub not usable because drain was broken, would not hold water. Floors were filthy when we arrived they came and washed them-----coffee maker had no pot---------the manager and I came to an agreement that he would credit my account for the failures , BUT HE WOULD ONLY DO IT IF I GAVE A POSITIVE REVIEW-----HE WANTED ME TO PURGER MYSELY-----we agreed to $450 and did credit $300,however my initial review was for only a 6 overall he recinded the monies and recharged my account-----he is a liar and a fraud----he still needs to credit me $450

The beach near 5 min cab ride is a great beach. The Food was good The bad: Cap Cana over security. Getting in and out of Cap Cana is like a military base. Some of the restaurants were over expensive. Apartment phone key, very modern but complicated.

We overlooked the pool. The restaurants on the property were fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed every meal. Ricardo was excellent to deal with from the beginning to the end. It’s a bit of a maze. A map would have been a welcome addition.

As we did not have another choice due to the holidays we had to spend a morning cleaning. The cleaning staff sen after our complaint was rude and un responsive to our requests to have the fixtures fixed. The automatic door lock did not work most of time, was promised an entry card and was never delivered.

• Mirela (10/5): Everything was perfect - It was a great 14-day stay. Everything was perfect. Big, spacious apartment, fully equipped. Bathroom, kitchen excellent, the bed was very comfortable. The cleaning ladies came every 3,4 days. Also big terrace, amazing view to the pool. The pool was great just a few steps away from the apartment, a lots of restaurants, cafés nearby, shops for essentials and souvenirs. Great location of the apartment inside Cap Cana. The host was very polite and at our service. No negative comments.
• Joas (8/5): Very good - Big and modern appartment. Very comfortable bed, good but slightly noisy airconditioning and a nice view on the pool. The resort is pretty modern and welcoming. We arrived a bit early and nobody knew about our booking, so that was a bit concerning. But after some time (before our planned check in) we got a whatsapp from the owner explaining us how to use a mobile key to enter. It would have been nice to know beforehand that there wouldn't be a personal check in.

It has a nice pool and a great view. The apartment is deteriorated from use and has not been properly maintained. The wifi was intermittent, we spent more time without wifi than with. The tv does not work and the air conditioners cool but not as much as we would like, not taking into account how noisy the air conditioners in the living room and dining room are.

The bed sheets were yellow and stained; Bathroom was rusty and moldy too, not to mention that while my husband was taking a shower a cockroach flew on his head from the shower roof. Also, THIS IS NOT part of the hotel, this is a private apartment that somebody is renting and they just told us that at the moment we checked inn so you don’t have any benefits from the hotel that is Ancora not Fishing Lodge (the front desk couldn’t even provide us for the pool). Breakfast is BAD and unsanitary, flies in the food, no AC and they charge you like a high end hotel and they are not.

We did not have wifi which is also what it advertised as included amenities. We did not have a sea view either! The hotel Ancora were a little helpful but they have nothing to do woth the Fishing Lodge. They should not be allowed to advertise on Expedia as their advertising falsley and also can not be contacted. Extremely unhappy and disappointed as this is the first time I have booked accommodation with Expedia! I will not be doing so again!

• STO (2/5): - When I got to the room I was very disappointed to see that there were many things broken and the smell was very unpleasant. The furniture is all dirty, the sofabed is broken and the tv is not working properly. The a/c went off before noon. The Place is not up to par with Cap Cana and the experience we have had in the past.

• Verified traveler (4/5): - We were surprised that there was no one responsible for the apartment, we didn't have anyone to call because we should have been in contact with the owner but we reserved through expedia, how could we have known who is the owner?? my husband was even asking for a reimbursement! we only stayed one night and paid for 2.

• Robert Sans (2/5): Completely unreasonable and not customer friendly. - I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. The "gentleman" in charge of sales is completely unreasonable and doesn't answer his phone. I had a family emergency and this person was totally unmoved.by my situation. What a shame. This experience has left me with a bad taste for punta cana. I felt I was violated and robbed of a good chunk on money. Good luck If you choose this hotel.
• Amy (2/5): Far out, literally! - I will start by saying that it is a beautiful condo, but it is a ghost town. I did not feel safe after dark going to the room. The Fishing Lodge is ran by an all inclusive resort ( Alsol) but you do not receive all inclusive benefits. Eating at the buffet cost way more than it is worth. A cab ride to Punta Cana cost $120.00. Our safe was broken, the sink was clogged and had standing water and the dryer did not work. I ask the front desk to have these things repaired and they told me that they did not manage that property, I would have to contact the owner. How? I still do not know! We had maid service to refresh the towels only on the next to last night we stayed. We wanted to take an evening swim around 8 o'clock p.m. and was told the pool was closed but they played loud music every night until about 11p.m.right down from our condo. The in room wifi is $12 daily but you can only get service if you are standing up against the wall in the guest bedroom. You must have a car or deep pockets to get anywhere here, nothing is in walking distance.
• Teresa (6/5): Nice hotel . Well kept common areas - The fishing lodge at Cap Cana was very nice. Unfortunatly the name was changed to Alsol so it was very confusing for us upon arriving. you should update your website. Our unit that we rented was privately owned so it was impossible to get any service on our appliances . The dryer didn't work. The toliet in the master bath didn't work, Several common appliances such as Hair dryer,coffee maker,towels were in available in the unit.

• Angelia (10/5): I absolutely loved this place! It was 100% perfect - I absolutely loved this place ! Itwas 100% better than I ever expected. The food was gourmet and cooked by master chefs. the property was immaculate just like the rooms. Loved everything about it.
• bryan (6/5): Perfect view for a one bedroom apt - The hotel room is someone's appartment that they rent out so the hotel doesn't have anytging to deal with the quest besides checking them in and out. Room and view was perfect. Ac didnt work called to the office and this is when I found out it's not really a hotel no cleaning of room or if anything happens oh well so good luck if nothing breaks. Hotel front counter staff not helpful at all the ladies at the little desk was. Everything at the resort was high in price and not worth it. The guards walking around was ok but to drive into the compound was long from everything
