Guest Reviews
- Alan (10/5): - Great stay for the price and being right next to the downtown area during Wo-Zha-Wa festival!
- Linda (8/5): - The rooms were big, clean and it was close to downtown shopping and restaurants
- Linda (8/5): - Everything was good. The room was clean and large. The staff was very friendly and helpful! I will stay again.
- Terea (2/5): - After checking in & saw the room it was disgusting. Health department should he notified. Stains on carpet. Broken widows .we immediately checked out & demanded a full refund. Their website is deceiving & needs to be updated looks nothing like the pictures. I wouldn't let my dog stay there.
- Noraima (4/5): - Made the reservation by mistake so I tried calling left messages and nobody returned my call so I decided to still make the trip. When I got there, the lobby was locked so you have to ring the bell. When I went in, it stink like dog pee, and poop as a matter of fact, there was a dog turd in the lobby. The lady was really nice though, she apologized for the accident and proceeded to clean it, but the strong odor seemed like it’s been there for days.
Room was very spacious and clean. The floors needed to be swept and mopped, I had brand new socks on and they got dirty real quick. The bathroom was stocked and organized but it was missing washcloths. Bed was comfortable. Not bad for $60/night.
- Craig (2/5): Not a good experience - The room had only one light in it. There was a hole in the bathroom door. No top sheet on one bed and pillowcase looked to be dirty. Electric base heater falling wall. In bathroom open bar of soap and we didn't open it. Bottle of shampoo was a partial bottle left over. In all we didn't stay!
- doug (2/5): - if i get my money i would its was the most worse hotel i stay in the room was noy ready the bed was not made the floors had water on halt of them the air condition was working halt the time it got cold then hot i could say more but i would never stay here again i would like some of my money back
- Michael (2/5): Stay away - Stay away!!!!
Dirty, not enough curtains on first floor room.
No smoke alarm
Peeling paint on bath room floor.
Towels smelled like smoke.
No toiletries in room.
One small light en entire room.
Room wasn’t clean.
Would never stay again.
- Mike (4/5): - Light next to bed didn’t work, bed sheets were dirty, face towel was disgusting, shower had dirty soap left in it. Very noisy
- Michael (4/5): Never again - I was told where room was but how to get in was not explained except by some staying there or worked there. There was no towels and extra toilet paper. No one came to clean the room when i was out of it for a 5 hours.
- Eugene (2/5): - Expedia overbooked the hotel 3 times and screwed me !!!
- Nathaniel (2/5): Do not stay here - We've traveled over seas, and stayed in some dumpy motels at times, but this rates among the worst. The room had not been cleaned, the office staff was not helpful. We left and found another motel.
- Laurie (2/5): Downtown Skid Row - We were so disappointed. The room had no towels or sheets on the bed. No soap or coffee or cups. Towels were promised but never delivered. Railings on the steps are broken. The outlets don’t have covers. Bathroom seemed partially renovated.
- DANIEL (4/5): - Had to ring a doorbell to check in which was unanswered for hours. Room was unclean, electrical outlet was hanging outside of the wall, a few bugs were found squashed on the wall. Curtains did not cover the window so we hung our own beach towel to have privacy because the room had no towels in it. Tried to request towels but the doorbell was not answered. We Felt unsafe so not recommended
- Sarah (2/5): - DO NOT STAY HERE! I booked this hotel for 2 nights through Expedia. Upon arrival, my travel companion and I were told that the hotel had been overbooked and the only room they had "available" was a room where a pipe had recently burst and the room was dirty but that we could stay in it if we wanted.....as if anyone actually is going to say yes to staying in a dirty room with a burst water pipe. We scrambled to find a last minute hotel room which ended up costing me an additional $70 because it was so last minute. River Road told me my money would be returned to me within a few days. Its been 2 weeks and still NO REFUND. Expedia and myself have called over and over leaving messages (the calls always go straight to voicemail) and still nothing. I have to accept at this point that i will never see that money again.
- Scott (2/5): - Went to check in, was told IMMEDIATELY they didnt have rooms even though we had a reservation. They didnt ask for a name, NOTHING
They just wanted to take our money and laugh in our face.
Stay elsewhere, if all else fails theres a nice dumpster, im sure it would provide better service and be more accommodating
- Kelly (6/5): - On the website it says free water passes and when we got here it does not.
Than I paid for a king and they gave us a very very uncomfortable queen. Only one wood chair to sit in and the air conditioner is so old and loud.
- Crys (6/5): - The room we had could use some improvements. The toilet paper holder was not attached. The shower was very dark. The mattresses were decent, but I'd bring your own bedding.
- Chandler (2/5): - Well first off they lied about having waterpark passes included. Then the building it self was in terrible shape, and the staff was very unhelpful.
- Randy (2/5): Worst hotel ever - Terrible experience
- Bradley (10/5): - Location great. Its an older motel so I can't understand why people complain about the rooms. Went there for a few days with my wife and daughter who is 3. Staff is amazing. Very polite and extremely helpful. Very kind. For an older motel and as someone who travels the world, I'm amazed its pretty well kept. The only thing I would say needs work is the locks. Locks fine but door would be able to be opened while locked pretty easy. Just tighten a little. But I had no worries at all. Also the fridge was a little iffy. But worked fine. Only other thing I would change is put blackout curtains on all windows. Light pretty bright in the morning. But not complaining.
Room. Room for an older motel was fine. No complaints. First time my wife and daughter have been to the Dells. I felt safe. Clean beds and clean bathroom.
Location is awesome. Right by the river and a block or 2 from Wizard Quest and a block from Ripley's. Everything is within walking distance for shopping and eating. Walked the street 3 times.
All said, I give this place 5 Stars and I'd definitely come back. My daughter doesn't sleep well anywhere but home, but slept both nights perfectly. All night she slept. I was very comfortable sleeping also.
Despite these 1 star complaints, I definitely recommend this place. Just remember, its an older motel, not a 500 star hotel resort that some expect. Its a great place for comfort and polite staff.
Thank you for the great stay. We will be back.
- REBECA (8/5): - we like the location and the price..
- Gail (2/5): Filthy - we got there at 5 to check in note on the office door be back in 20 minutes so we waited as we watched 5 other people try the door finally called after 45 minutes she said 5 more minutes 15 minutes later they came . Checked in went to room it was filthy no towels air conditioner wouldnt work tv wouldnt work . Went back to office and asked to be refunded because of conditions of the place they were really nice about and said no problem i could have a refund. Its 5 days later they charged my account tried calling them the phone is discounted. My bank is disputing the charge . Lesson learned
- Jason (4/5): - Nice location. But you do get what you pay for.
- Elsa (2/5): - This is the wort place that tray
- Yvonne (6/5): You got what you paid for - The staff was very friendly. You get what you pay for. Unfortunately wanted to shower before going to a show only to find out we had no cold water only hot. They did get a maintenance guy out there to try and fix it but they never told us whether it was fixed or not. She did offer to change our room but really wanted us to wait till maintenance got there. Unfortunately we had to go to the show and by the time we got back the office was closed.
- Robert (6/5): - We liked the location . Close to downtown. The building is old but rooms clean. Had to ask for extra towels as there were only 2 in the bathroom and only one washcloth. Difficult finding staff at first but very helpful when we found them
- Dean (2/5): 1 star experience - Canceled 3 hours before check in. Very unprofessional the way it happened.
- Edward (2/5): - Very dirty rooms, towels, bedsheets, unsafe, door locks not good, noisy, air conditioning very noisy, average level 1
- Cazim (2/5): - Made reservation, packed stuff and was ready to drive 2.5 hours. Received call NO ROOMS AVAILABLE
- Bill (2/5): - one crazzy thing was there was no top sheet just a dusty stained blanket
- James (2/5): - No room available.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Do not stay!! - Reserved a room for one night stay for my wife's birthday well in advanced. Showed up a little before 4pm (check in after 3pm), stood outside the office ringing the door bell for 10 minutes. The place kind of looked ran down. No clue why an office would be locked during check in hours. Finally someone answered and we were told they were over booked. They couldn't email me or call me in advanced. DO NOT TRUST this property! Whether they need to work with the expedia group to figure out the booking or pull this listing from their database all together. Just know if you book there is a good chance you'll be needing to find another place to stay. Wouldn't want anyone going through the headache we had to go through!
- Jessica (2/5): Run away and never look back - Went to check in at 3pm and none of the keys were ready because they were cleaning. Once we got to our room it was nasty. Floor was not vacuumed, vomit powder on the floor, bathroom wasn’t clean just wiped down. Mirrors were dirty and there was no hand towel, soap or toilet paper! There were even dead bugs on the wall.
Went back to the counter and explained the room situation she said she didn’t believe me! I said see for yourself and asked for a new room, the owner said they were booked solid but she would give a refund and started clicking away. I asked if we get to keep the room she said no you need to leave so I told her to wait because we just got here and don’t know if there was anything else available. (There was not) so I said well can you at least have someone reckless our room. She sent her kid to vacuum…
Her son said they ordered supplies last week and would be here today (checking reviews they were out for 3 weeks).
Then they double booking our room because we had a gentleman walk in.
To top it off our ac kept cutting off and wouldn’t go back on. It was hot and humid, so the room became very stuffy and uncomfortable. We left and when asked for a refund I was told no.
Ontop of that! We saw her son at the bar before we went to check in and he was hammering drinks down. Noticed him at check out. And he was hitting on some of the ladies coming in to check in. (We know it was him because she was next to us)
Stay far far away from this place.
- Vincent (10/5): - The staff was very attentive and kind. And the location was perfect.
- Tamara (2/5): - I reserved a room months ago, when we got there.... i didn't have a room. They were over booked. I'm still waiting on refund.
- Scott (2/5): Worst hotel we couldn't stay in - Staff was on something at check in , with dried puke on her shirt. Room was terrible with stains on bed, floor, and building seemingly falling apart.
- Monique (10/5): - Staff was super friendly and welcoming
- Kerri (6/5): - No toilet paper or bath/hand towels.
- Paulino (2/5): - The lady call me day before my reservation and told me we don't have rooms available sorry for call you a the last minute. Bad service don't try to reserve there no safe
- Denise (2/5): - This was the worst experience ever in my travels. Basically I received a call on the day of checkin that the hotel was overbooked. Because I was on a tour I couldn’t take the call so River Road Motel left me a message. I called back after my tour and left a message for the reception at River Road Motel to call me back. She never called me back. I arrived at the hotel after driving over an hour from Harmony, Minnesota to the motel in Wisconsin Dells. A girl past my husband was obviously upset after leaving the motel office. She said that they were overbooked. The door at the motel office had a note on the window to push the doorbell for service. As soon as the receptionist (Sarah) opened the door she told us “We are overbooked and I already turned away 5 people!” My husband works as a manager at a hotel and told her that she should find us another hotel because we drove ver far to stay at the River Road Motel. She said that she was working on that. She wanted our phone number so that she could call us back but it was already after 4:30 pm. She said AmerInn had rooms and we could try booking over there. She apologized but she really didn’t seem to care. My husband asked for the e-mail of the owner and she said that she didn’t have his e- mail. She finally gave my husband an e-mail for the owner but the e- mail was a bogus e-mail to a contracting company that she is associated with. Very unprofessional service! First time that happened to me!
- Tiffany (2/5): - This place is a dump. I didn't feel safe staying here. Nothing at all like the pics. We left and didn't stay there. We booked a different hotel and ate the cost of this motel.
- Christian (2/5): - Motel overbooked and we couldn’t even get into the office to check in. Closed way earlier than stated everywhere. No on picked up the phone.
- Joshua (2/5): River road more like River NO - They canceled my trip day of when i was standing there checking in. It was the 4th of july telling me to find somewhere else to stay. After 5 hour of driving here, i had to spend another 3 hours finding somewhere else to stay.
- Emmanuel (2/5): - This places canceled on me when I arrived to Dells. I even booked it 5 months in advanced. Would not recommend unless you want to stress yourself on trying to find at the last minute.
- Lynda (2/5): - Sheets were dirty. Garbage was left on the bathroom floor. Mirror was dirty. No towels.
- Tina (2/5): - We got to the property at 8:25pm and there was no one in the office. We rang the bell like the note on the door says to, knocked but no answer. I called the property numerous times and left a message and also wrote a message to them but have yet to hear back. We walked around the property trying to find someone but could not. We were unable to check in so I contacted Expedia and they were not able to get ahold of the property either. Their office hours posted are showing them being open until 9pm.
- Melissa Inola (4/5): - As the old saying goes, you get what you pay fore.
My bathroom had a window, when looking out the window there is a wall of another building and wires/cables and a birds nest. Curtains on the window would have been appreciated. The air conditioner didn't work very well. When paying for the room, I asked that my bank card not be charged. I gave them a credit card to charge. When I got my bank statement, the staff had charged my bank card. Not cool River Road Motell
- Theron (2/5): - I wasnt even able to go. They called me, last minute, and told me that they overbooked by 26 rooms, and that they would not have a room for me. I booked and paid for this room well ober a month ago. I spent the mext hour looking for a room im je area and the.only ones Avail were 4× the price i paid for this one!. Because of this, i iss the wedding celebration that i was supposed to go to. This is unacceptable. This kind of thing has neber happened to me before. I am extremely pissed off about this situation!
- Kristin (2/5): - We had two rooms booked. When we arrived at 6pm a very young staff (maybe 16 years old) sadly told us that they were overbooked. I asked if the owner or manager was there. I had spoken to the manager and confirmed everything a week before. She was in tears. I called why they didn't call us and let us know so we can get a different hotel? She said the owners didn't want her to call people. It was a sad mess and weird. I felt bad for the manager and young staff member.
- Jesus (2/5): - Close to down town
- Phillip (8/5): - Close to downtown.
- Thomas (2/5): Overbooked property by hotels dot com - hotel.com overbooked the property. I could not stay there. I have not received a refund. I don't know how to get one. It was for s***.
- Robert (6/5): - Did not have any towels to take a shower
Very old place
- Troy (4/5): - Check in was good and staff friendly enough. Room is fine; for the price, you kind of know what to expect,
However, the room had absolutely no towels of any kind. Told the front desk clerk and she said they were being washed and she’d bring them. However, when we got back to room from dinner around 9pm, we still had no towels. Lobby was locked and there’s a bell to ring for apparent service, but nobody came.
Tried again in the morning, after 7am and had same experience. Nobody at front desk and no response was o bell. Even called and got no answer. Consequently , was not able to shower.
Seems very odd that a hotel in a major tourist spot would be so unavailable and unresponsive to guests.
- Wendy (2/5): - Upon viewing photos of this motel, it looked charming. Upon arrival, I was shocked!
The exterior was tar papered and graffiti everywhere. Remodeling or NOT, what a misrepresentation.
I asked for the King bed and received a Queen. I reserved with a credit card but I asked to pay cash upon arrival. Of course, they charged my credit card and now I have returned for insufficient funds fees.
There is no hair dryer, coffee maker (web page says free coffee and ice), no ice.
No cups in the room & only 2 medium sized, mismatched towels. Only 1 washcloth & NO hand towels. The shower curtain was over a foot too long.
It is virtually impossible to find anyone at the front desk to ask for extra towels, etc. “ring the bell or call this #. On my third day, a very drugged out woman who claimed to be the on site manager said that hadn’t done laundry yet (2PM). Told me to put my sheets and towels outside door. They would bring some. 4 hours later, nothing. When I went to the desk the same woman said that she fell asleep and didn’t have any linens, etc available YET! A couple of small towels and sheets were given to me . No pillow cases. I had make my own bed.( Just a note: when got under the sheets the 1st night, I found a narcotic pill that wasn’t mine.)
No lamp by the bed so I had only one other lamp across the room . I fell trying to find the bed, bruised my leg & hit my head. I have a concussion.)
Talked to another so-called mgr upon departure. She claimed that they were always available.
- Steven (2/5): - I showed up at the motel and was told they didn't have a room for me even though my name was on their list. Apparently they gave it away to someone that paid ahead of time. Disgusting.
- mike (4/5): - Not worth the price ideal for being close to downtown but everything is bad. Got there at 2p wouldn’t let us check into 3 and we were the only car in the lot and people that stayed there overnight. Bed are very uncomfortable and at least hang the 24 inch tv on a wall was placed on a side table in corner.
- Allen (4/5): - No cover for ceiling fan, all dusty. Lack of toweling. No hot water for shower. No facial tissues.
I was called Saturday afternoon before checkin that they were overbooked. I made reservation 6 weeks prior. Going to cancel my room, had to take a room with no air.
- Noemi (10/5): - For the price, it was clean and comfortable with a good location near downtown to boot
- Wanda (2/5): - The property was in very poor conditions, no water. The
- Verified traveler (2/5): - We left five mins after checking in, this place was dirty, the front desk office was locked the whole time, I rang the bell that said "ring for service" nobody came, I then called the phone number listed on their website to get help and check in. we didn't get a room key, we got a small piece of paper with a code written on it, wonder if that actually has ever changed or stays the same, for the short three minutes we were in the room some tried to enter our room twice. There were stains on the bottom matters, there was dirt/debris on the floor and visually hair on the table. Also the door to the room isn't completely sealed you can see outside while it's closed through the crack near the bottom. The best way I can describe the motel is crack house. The staff also for that description
- Jerry (6/5): - it was okay. the towels came in late though. The showers did not have much warm water,
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Won’t refund for
- dave (2/5): - They overbooked my hotel. I had no place to stay.
- Nathanial (2/5): - Ac didn’t work. Still waiting on refund. Just horrible time.
- Victor (2/5): - My reservation was cancelled 3-4 days prior property said it was over booked
- Kristin (2/5): Unable To check In - Was unable to check in because the office was closed and no one answered the door or the phone. We had to go and find another hotel to stay in. They offered a refund which still has not shown up.
- Andrea (8/5): - We didnt have reservations and were easily accommodated. Freshly refurbished rooms. The inside and outside have been given a updated modern look.
- Kalashia (10/5): - Nice room just need more lighting
- Joey (10/5): - Great stay lots of fun
- Brion (4/5): - Old. Needs repair. Not available king beds. Outside stairs from 1920s. Bathroom solid. Otherwise really bad condition. Charged me an extra night. Beware. They will take advantage of you.
- Michael (4/5): - Shower didn’t work, had no water at all. Toilet ran all night. No functioning lights anywhere except the bathroom.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Awesome location - Well, read some bad and some good reviews so here was our experience. Check in was smooth. Room 4 was clean enough. Floor and curtains could have used a little more work but bathroom was clean. After a 16 hour trip, we were looking forward to a nice shower but shower was broken. So had to do a bit of a sponge bathing but there was only one facecloth for two people. The office closes at 9 and it was past that when we realized we did not have a shower nor enough facecloths for plan B. Plenty of very hot water, and sheets were clean and the bed was very comfortable. Plenty of heat on a cold night but it was so loud. Woke me up. There was a door to an adjourning room which was locked and chained but you could hear the people in that room quite clearly. The front door is a coded entry but had no bolt lock or chain lock on the inside. I ended up pushing a chair up against it, not that i feared a breakin, but you never know. I don’t know if they change the code every time a guest leaves. Location of the motel was within a short walking distance of the main road. Really awesome. We paid a very inexpensive price for the room booked through an online site and i suppose they have rooms designated for different price ranges so i guess you get what you pay for. Not sure if i would go back. Maybe if i could see other rooms.
- Tina (10/5): Everything you need - Great hotel. Very clean
- Shawn (10/5): Great place, great value. - Friendly and accommodating. Great place for the price. I'll definitely stay here again.
- Gabriel (10/5): - very good stay
- crystal (8/5): - The woman that was running the establishment was very nice and accommodating. She addressed our concerns and was extremely helpful in making sure our stay was a good one.
- David (4/5): - Door and door hardware seemed flimsy and easily breached. No inside door chain.
One bedside lamp was the only light in main room. Colored bath towels due not instill confidence they are properly laundered. Parking area and area around door not cleared of snow. Only one small inadequate rug inside door. One very thin sheet and and a bed spread, no bed blankets.
- Jill (2/5): Never stay at River Road Motel Wisc Dells - Beware- Never stay at this hotel! It’s been sold and the new management is awful!!!! Once we checked in we couldn’t reach anyone to assist us. The shower was cold and the power was out on half the room. The office was locked and attempts to reach anyone went unanswered. We were the only guests along with our friends in another room. On top of this we were overcharged an additional room and multiple attempts to resolve this situation were met with various excuses. This is so unfortunate as we previously stayed at this motel once every winter for the previous several years without any incident.
- DENISE (4/5): - Our check-in was fine. We stayed for two nights - only 1 set of towels - no hand towels or washcloths. No one available after check-in by phone or the buzzer. I'm hoping the right owner will take better care of the place. This has always been our "go to" in winter months. Love the location
- Jill (10/5): - The rooms were very clean and staff was very friendly
- Austyn (2/5): - Whole room flooded, pipe bursted in the unit above us flooded out whole room, leaked on our heads! Then after everything said they didn’t have another room for us had to get a refund and drive 15 minutes to a different hotel at 10pm at night.
- Diane (4/5): - We didn’t like anything about the motel.
- Tim (2/5): Nope - Booked a king bed and given 2 queens. Gal said website isn’t theirs and she had no control on the rooms. Towels and pillow cases stained. Very noisy neighbors. Didn’t care for the owner so I wouldn’t stay there again. Location is great.
- Kathleen (2/5): - There is an expectation when you book a hotel/motel that at the very least, you will have a decent bed, you will feel safe, and the environment will not pose any health issues. Unfortunately that is not the case with this motel.
We arrived and were immediately suspicious. The parking lot is dark. No cars present other than ours. Check in although easy only lended to our apprehension. An aggresive dog is present at the front desk and the coffee maker doesn't work
Upon entering the room with a hand written code on a sheet of paper.. yup.. anyone could have this code, we knew this was a very poor choice and not indicative of the pictures on the internet. Once in the room.. the smell of mold overtook us. It was clear that there had been, or still does, have or had severe water damage at some point that had not been fully remediated. I'm allergic to mold so my reactions started immediately. One of the beds swayed in the middle and had a downward slant to the foot of the bed that could not be slept in. Upon examination, this bed was supported by several pieces of previously wet plywood boards. The curtains wouldn't shut (they were hung wrong), the only window that would open had no screen or lock. The wall unit air conditioner had 3/4 inch of dust. Cant turn that on. Stains of makeup or blood on the comforters.. We left and although promised a refund.. I'm doubtful. Young lady at the front desk was nice but helpless.Got a hotel elsewhere. NOT RECOMMENDED!!!
- LANETTE (8/5): - Staff was friendly and respectful! We’re always there to help!
- Robert (2/5): - No hot water. Could not ahower
- joey (10/5): - Best hotel in dells for price
- Cara (8/5): - A great and affordable option for a night in Wisconsin Dells! Close to downtown, friendly staff, and newly upgraded rooms.
- Haylie (10/5): - Place was cute! Clearly still in the midst if remodeling and such, once in our room a staff member just walked in without knocking assuming it was empty- so communication was a little poor. Otherwise the owner is a gem! Loved her and would stay here again for a short little trip.
- Tara (2/5): NO, DON'T DO IT! - Do not stay here! The only plus was the wonderful staff. Nothing worked. No fan in bathroom, no mini fridge, no volume on TV. The AC unit was so high up on the wall i had to go outside to find a stick long enough to click it on. Bed was comparable to a fold out couch mattress. Very uncomfortable.
- Wolf (10/5): - Such friendly management on site :) will definitely stay again
- Verified traveler (6/5): - This is an older hotel that's a bang for the buck. The hotel is clean staff is friendly.
- Verified traveler (2/5): No. No. No. - Check-in time was 3p, we arrived around 630p, room wasn’t ready. Stated she “fell asleep.” Then told us that the room would still not be ready for another 30 minutes. Again, this was already after 3p check-in time. Meanwhile, her sister came into town and surprised her and her meet and greet was more important than getting us into a room sooner rather than later.
The significance of this poor review, is that we had been a long road trip, on a motorcycle, 1100 miles. We were an hour and a half away from home and was exhausted. This was our last night to get rested and get home the next day.
Then, plumbing was bad in the shower. You couldn’t take a shower long enough before the tub starting filling up because the pressure(not complaining on that part) was so hard that it filled the tub quicker than you could shower. On tap of that, the toilet seat was falling off. Doesn’t make it easy for sitting..
I get it, we weren’t paying for the most luxurious experience but should still be in par condition. Especially in one of the most visited places in Wisconsin.
- Michael (10/5): - The staff was very friendly & helpful. Rooms were very clean, beds were very comfortable. Very quiet & we Loved that there was a microwave & frig in room. Walking to downtown Dells was a breeze so we never had to move the car. Looking forward to coming back next year.
- Stefani (6/5): - It worked for what we needed. The convenience is what will make us stay there again in the future.
- Julie (8/5): - Owners very friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and bed very comfy. Had refrigerator, microwave in rooms. Air conditioner worked fabulous even with it being in upper 80's to 90 outside. all and all a nice stay and would stay again.
- Janis (8/5): - Overall my experience at the River Motel was great I went twice this year and stayed here at the River Motel, would highly recommend my family and friends to visit the River Road Motel
Thank you ..
- Deanna (8/5): Perfect Downtown Location! - We have stayed at the River Road Motel a couple of times now and keep coming back. This motel is perfectly located in walking distance to downtown Dells and the Riverwalk. Sara (Manager) and her staff are very nice, accomodating and attentive. Each room we've stayed in has been different in terms of size, furniture, etc. and Sara has been working hard to upgrade as much as possible, inside & out. If you're looking for a clean, value priced roadside motel, River Road is great choice.
