• Ruoyan (10/5): Highly recommend - Unforgettable experience in Relais Sant' Elena. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and genuine Italian hospitality. The property itself is a beautifully restored farmhouse, surrounded by flowers. Our room had breathtaking views of the Tuscan countryside. The pool area is peaceful and well-maintained, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring Siena or Florence (both about 1.5h drive). If you’re looking for a romantic getaway or a serene escape into the heart of Tuscany, look no further.

Uns geschah selbiges hier, in diesem wundervollen Relais! Wir taten, was wir immer tun - die Mitarbeiter wahrnehmen, ihre Arbeit wertschätzen und höflich sein. Das war keine Mühe, sondern Freude über den ausgezeichneten Service! Besonderheit St.Elenas: In Sichtweite ein Turm auf dem Hügel mit einer kleinen Weinbar und traumhaften Blick in die Landschaft. 2 Whirlpool, gut geheizt runden das Ensemble als außergewöhnlich ab! Besonders toll der "Gesellschaftsraum" sehr geschmackvoll und gemütlich! Danke an das tolle Team! Nichts!

• Lily (6/5): Pleasant - Some staffs are friendly and helpful. The view is nice. They don't have someone at the entrance to greet you and help with your luggage like other hotels. You need to carry your luggage to the check-in area by yourself. The front desk staff didn't seem very friendly/welcoming.- Thank you for your response. However, after reading it, I feel even more certain that your tone comes across as unfriendly. While some staff members were very friendly and helpful, such as the male employee who kindly drove us to the hill and another who greeted me, I have to admit that my experience with the front desk staff was not as positive. In particular, the front desk lady came across as indifferent. I’m simply sharing my honest observation: when we arrived, there was no one at the gate to welcome us as is often the case at other hotels, nor was there a doorman to help with our luggage. We ended up carrying our bags into the check-in area ourselves. Perhaps we’ve become accustomed to the warm and welcoming service we've received at other hotels. I actually recommended your hotel to friends and even shared a positive post about it on my social media. Now, I feel quite embarrassed.

Between the pool, the gardens and the common outdoor spaces we wished we had stayed longer. The kitchen staff was so accommodating. We came in late afternoon and they accommodated us for a late lunch, without hesitation. Everything !!

My only suggestion would be that more staff are definitely needed. For the price of the hotel I’d expect it to be easy to get drinks etc throughout the day but I had to keep going to reception if I wanted to find a staff member and it was very hard to get drinks/lunch by the pool. There is a bar but I didn’t once see a member of staff working there

• Catherine (10/5): Every detail was to perfection and a staff that was attentive and kind. - The grounds and surrounding property were exquisite. It was a peaceful haven with everything thought of. Nothing at all. It was perfect.

Delicious small menu, great cakes at breakfast that you can take for later. Romantic and brilliant background sax player outside on our last night (Friday). Went to the beach one day, grey sand, nice food but headed back to the hotel to lie on the grass by the pool instead. For more casual food (though they do sandwiches throughout the day) head to the small town 10 minute drive away.

• Hannah (10/5): Everything you would dream of for a stay in Tuscany - Absolutely stunning location and hotel for a charming stay in Tuscany. We only wish we could have stayed longer. The only small bit of feedback would be that it was difficult to get a drink while at the pool with staff often busy elsewhere. This is no reflection on the staff as they were excellent!
• Edward (6/5): - We did not like: Their mountain bikes were poorly maintained. (Gears did not work at all smoothly, or reliably. Brakes were weak.) We are cyclists. We requested a short route. They suggested a 1 hour trail and we returned in 3 1/2. The trail was NOT for bicycles. NOT bikeable. Very unsafe. Large gravel, rocks strewn everywhere along the path, no stability or traction, therefore requiring getting off the bikes and walking. Ridiculous. Ruined our morning and our subsequent afternoon plans. We were glad we did not have an accident. The bed mattress needed to be replaced. We 'slid' to the centre. The maitre d's attitude at dinner was one of indifference. We were craning our necks for service. However, he seemed to be pleasant to some tables. We got his indifference. We did like: The location. The quiet. The breakfast was excellent.

Excellent food & service. - Everything about this hotel was fantastic - the staff couldn’t have been more helpful (even organising a taxi for passports left in the room!), the food is amazing and the setting stunning.

The food, which changed daily, was top quality, and the staff was as professional and kind as you will ever experience. The only issue we had was that the interior walls were not well sound-insulated, but this was a minor inconvenience when compared to the whole experience.

• Tessa (10/5): The most amazing place in Tuscany - We loved everything about our stay at Relais Saint'Elena. The surroundings are incredibly beautiful, as are the gardens of the hotel. The breakfast was outstanding - the best we've ever had; everything was authentic and home-made, and the variety was huge. The breakfast room also has the most amazing "country-kitchen" feel and everything just makes you so happy. The restaurant serves exquisite dinners from a set menu using home-grown or local ingredients, customised daily by the chef. We extended our stay by an extra night because we couldn't imagine there was a better place to experience Tuscany than this - why go somewhere else when where you are is perfect!

The onsite restaurant is excellent is the La Colazione in the morning. I took a cooking class and loved it. Only issue I had is that it is a bit farther drive to the various wineries in Bolgheri?

• Erin (10/5): - This was our first stop on our 2 week trip in Tuscany. This was an unbelievably high bar to set- we loved everything about this property!! It’s perfectly located just outside of town, with easy access roads to the beach or the winery area. Very quiet with a stunning view. The pool and dining area are beautiful and just a few steps from the rooms. The staff is so helpful and friendly. We did the cooking class and had a ball, took away so many great tips. The food for breakfast and dinner is also fantastic. We loved it here and would recommend it to everybody (except those traveling with kids, this is adults only).

Their attention to detail and care for their clients is excellent, especially during this current pandemic. Every area from the room to the dining facilities was well planned and executed, we were even allocated a specific area at the pool.

• Karsten (10/5): Wunderbarer Rückzugsort - Das Relais ist etwas außerhalb von Bibbona gelegen, über eine asphaltierte Straße gut zu erreichen. Es gibt überdachte Parkplätze. Die Anlage ist wundervoll und sehr stilvoll gestaltet. Ein schöner Pool mit sehr weitläufiger Liegewiese, verschiedene Rückzugsmöglichkeiten - perfekt. Der Service ist sehr freundlich. Das Frühstück ist das liebevoll hergerichtetste, das ich kenne! Alles wird frisch zubereitet - wundervoll!
• Linton (10/5): Best hotel in the world - Excellent in every way. I cannot fault this hotel at all. After travelling for over 35 years and staying in dozens of hotels all round the world, this would be my favourite place to stay - and why, because it delivers above and beyond its offer. One is treated as a real guest and not like a number. The service is personal and delivered in a way that makes one feel at home and relaxed - there's no pretence. Will be back either later this year but definitely next year.
