- Carol (10/5): - This hotel was delightful. The staff was so friendly and accommodating - they made a real impact on my stay. They went above and beyond to be sure that I enjoyed my time here. I had one of the smaller rooms and yet it was extremely comfortable and attractive. The breakfast was excellent with lots of healthy choices (and indulgences too if that’s what you prefer). The location was perfect - close to so many things and yet peaceful and quiet itself. This is definitely where I will stay next time I travel to Istanbul and would recommend it to anyone!

While the hotel excels in accessibility and maintaining a quiet atmosphere, the staff were very attentive, and the breakfast was excellent. I have mixed feelings about recommending it for travelers with elderly parents. The main challenge was access - roads are blocked to cars during daytime hours, requiring us to walk a block or two while carrying our luggage to reach the hotel. However, the staff kindly came to assist us once they knew we were heading their way. Additionally, while the sliding shower doors would likely be fine for most guests, they weren't stable enough for elderly visitors to safely hold onto for support.

The location couldn’t be better—right in the heart of the old city and within easy walking distance to all the major tourist attractions, as well as countless restaurants and shops. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready with a smile and great local recommendations. The tours they organized for us were top-notch—well-planned, informative, and seamless from start to finish. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Istanbul—it made our trip that much more enjoyable!

Comprehensive and delicious breakfast. Easy to walk to major sites. Could not recommend this hotel more!!

Breakfast selection was great. Hotel is close walking distance from historic sites. Also, the bar tender was very friendly and fun to talk while having some drinks after a long day.

Our room no.209 looked out to the front of the hotel and had everything we needed. If staying for 4 or 5 days I would efinitely recommend booking a larger room as the standard rooms looked compact. We would definitely return. Lovely staff and quality hotel in an ideal location for all the sights.

In reality, rooms are fine but the views from “premium” rooms (we tried a couple) are onto the close-up roofs and pipes. The staff is friendly. The biggest disappointment was breakfast, both from quality/selection point of view and the fact that espresso/capucino are charged additionally, which is strange at the price you pay for the room.

Hotel looks great as in design and decor but this is not sustainable..skirting boards coming off, thick mould all through silicone, curtains don’t pull across etc. for the concept and price this hotel does not deliver. Staff quite disinterested, and inconsistent, some guests offered tea on arrival and others not. Chose property as stated has parking or valet parking - no parking and no valet parking..we had to drive car to otopark for day then park on street at night then next day take to otopark and then back on street at night.. Breakfast really mediocre, was offered something cooked as we about to leave, not sure why this wasn’t offered as we sat down. Empty tables left dirty and floors quite dirty as well, they need to be doing continual tidy up especially in food areas. This hotel sets up for great expectation but fail to deliver the standards and service..nice 3 star hotel at best.

This experience Is needing to be documented so all that are out there looking for a radical experience at 5 star for price that makes more then sense, this is the spot. Staff was over the top helpful. Nice is an understatement. Quiet and perfect to sleep in Pillows perfect. Chef Omar on site is a treat u just don’t know how lucky till ur there and taste his food ! Location is exactly where u want to be. Quick walk to the bazar , Egyptian spice 20 minutes across bridge to Galata Tower. Don’t stay in that zone. It’s packed. Room was dope. Seen reviews of people speaking of electric out... AC spotty ect... suck it up as the hotel and all that it offers is mental. I have stayed all around the world in the nicest hotels that are out there from the Airbnb room in the garage rented by Uncle Bob. If u read this, book it. Pura vida Familia Ricante

They had some power issues while we were there, and it seemed the hotel was running off a generator for a bit, not sure if that's a normal thing. Other than that, everything was terrific. Planty of shops, resturants and shopping areas around. Just check which kind of room you book, because it is not clear on the description, so you dont not end up on the roof floor with very tiny rooms!

The location is perfect, you're close to the lite rail, the ferries, and the underground rail. Waking distance to all the key places in sultanahmet. Great AC for the hot summer, friendly front desk folks, nice breakfast. Rooms are beautiful and spacious, brick walls, unique modren artwork. I've stayed at several hotels in the area, this is my favorite.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - I did this during a full country-wide lockdown, and was afraid that the experience would be bad. It was a great experience, the rooms clean and wide, the food at breakfast was of high quality, and most importantly, the staff were very helpful. One gentleman (I think his name was Gorkay) helped us with the transportation tickets, registered with the health authorities, and printed the timetables, all to help us make a tour of the Bosporus with the ferries instead of the banned commercial tours. Highly recommended.

- Kim (10/5): Amazing hotel! - Superb hotel in amazing position close to all the top sites in Sultanahmet. Gokhan, is probably the nicest, friendliest GM I have ever met and absolutely nothing is too much for him. I have been to Istanbul many times and would return to this hotel in a heartbeat. The building is 200 years old and beautifully decorated. So happy to have found this gem in the heart of Istanbul.
- Anita (10/5): Incredible stay at Regie Ottoman - Our stay at Regie Ottoman in Istanbul was the best way to end our travels before going home. The interior design was superb, as well as the extremely helpful staff. The location was close to the center. Also, the food was out of this world. I recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to experience a stay of luxury in supreme taste while in Istanbul.

- David (10/5): Hidden oasis of serenity... 💛💛💛 - Absolutely impeccable from start to finish. The hotel was a true hidden gem in the middle of old town but due to its position on a backstreet it became that sought-after oasis of tranquillity as soon as you walked through the door. I have Turkish friends who said it would not be possible to find a quiet hotel in Sultanahmet :) They were wrong :) Every member of staff was a pleasure to talk with, every aspect of modernisation had been completed to a very high standard that felt in keeping with the fabric of the building, and we really did not want to leave. 3 days is not long enough for Istanbul and nor for this hotel. The hotel, the rooms, the breakfast, the people, the bar - even a simple gin and tonic - were a cut above anything we expected. Special thanks to Gokhan but the whole team were exceptional.

The staff are so friendly and very helpful, most of them are males, except the ones in the breakfast room. We stayed in a suite. The room is spacious and the design is wonderful. We will come back.

Position incredible as near to The Spice Bazaar, The Grand Bazaar and within walking distance of Hagia Sophia, The Blue Mosque and Basilica Cistern. A special mention to Gorkan who truly went the extra mile, a true professional😁
- Alyson (10/5): Regie Ottoman - great hotel and perfect location - The Regie Ottoman is a lovely, modern hotel in the old part of Istanbul. It has an industrial feel - nothing gold or glitzy! The staff were very helpful and friendly. It is close to the Spice and Grand Bazaars, the Bosphorous (which is a simple walk across to the Asian side of Istanbul), the Blue Mosque and Topkapi Palace etc. My only complaint was the grout in the shower area needed to be cleaned with bleach to remove the small amount of mould. Having said that, if we ever return to Istanbul we would definitely stay at The Regie Ottoman Hotel!
- Katharine (8/5): Lovely restored hotel - Beautifully restored hotel within easy walking distance of all the sights in the old city. Helpful staff, though one did suggest allowing far too little time to the Sabiha Gogcen airport. I like to be safe so asked for the airport transfer a half hour earlier which was just as well as the check in lines for our Pegasus Airlines flight was over an hour long. We were in room 105 which though tastefully decorated was weird and a bit disconcerting as it had no windows. Apparently they were not allowed to add any during the renovation, but I did not like being able to see the weather or judge what time it was. It did mean that the room was very quiet though.

And surface level everything looks modern and quirky however this was not the case. breakfast was disappointing - and it seemed understaffed in comparison to other hotels we’ve stayed in. It looks nice is pictures but unfortunately we found it an uncomfortable stay. We did have high hopes and I would only recommend for location. The hotel manager was very friendly.

First, it's a gorgeous, historic brick building right in the center of the hustle and bustle, but tucked down a side road so it's nice and quiet. Easily walkable to plenty of restaurants, cafes, shops, sights, etc. I'm pretty sure it's one of the more comfortable beds I've slept in - the only downside being that I wanted to sleep all day when I should have been out exploring! The breakfast was delicious and the staff was friendly and accommodating. Definitely buy the tour ticket package for the Hagia Sophia and Palace from the reception desk - so worth it. The tours were small and personal and the guides were great. We used the airport transfer service via the hotel as well and our transfers to and from were timely, safe, and seamless. The shining star of this trip for us though was the guest relations manager, Gokhan. We were in Istanbul for a wedding at a location that was only ~8-9 miles away. We thought catching a taxi would be easy but boy were we wrong. Traffic in the afternoon is rough and it ended up being impossible to find a taxi or an Uber who would even consider taking us. Gorkan immediately got on the phone and started making calls. A few minutes later, we had a car booked and we made it to the wedding shortly there after. A total lifesaver. He also gave us his cell number to call or Whatsapp if there was absolutely anything we needed. What a gem, we'll definitely be back!
