- Lisa (7/5): - The location was good for an event we were attending and it was a very cheap room, so we couldn't expect the ritz. Bed was comfy and a large warm room, so fitted our needs for the stay. Breakfast was also ok with very helpful staff. Very tired bathroom, with no shelf, or hooks, or towel rail.... can't complain as we only needed somewhere cheap to stay and the staff and grounds were great. At the end of the day you get what you pay for, so no complaints as it fitted our needs perfectly

- Alicia (10/5): Excellent facilities, beautiful grounds - overall lovely stay! - Breakfast was delicious, a good range and choice for our whole party. The rooms were clean and spacious. The grounds were absolutely stunning - we were there for a sporting event, but while my daughter was training I was able to have a lovely walk in the beautiful gardens. Some more wine options at the bar! The white was good, but couldn't order the rose. We didn't eat dinner, but as I understood there weren't many options.

- Lawrence (9/5): A splendid rural retreat which offers quiet, restful accommodation to a high standard. - We are frequent guests at Lilleshall Manor and have stayed in a variety of rooms there. The setting is rural and there are lovely grounds to walk in. The standard of accommodation is very good and the rooms and beds are very clean and comfortable. The showers are usually of the walk-in variety and are powerful. Parking is ample. This is a sports centre so expect lots of lycra and be aware that there are restrictions on access to rooms beyond your own accommodation - we were chased out of the breakfast area on one occasion having settled to play a very quiet game of Scrabble! This must be a change of policy since we have previously been made most welcome in these areas. Breakfast is ample and varied with lots of healthy options though no replenishment of items at times. The staff are splendid - helpful, kind and professional - unless you want to play Scrabble! One of the reception staff, Janet, went to trouble to locate an item I had left behind and it was safely returned. The cleaning staff were also delightful. This is the LIlleshall we know and love! Anti-slip mats for the showers should certainly be provided.

- michael (7/5): - The location is stunning and beautiful. The room was good quality, nothing amazing but good and comfortable. Annoyingly on my visit I arrived quite late so I could only get food from the cafe, which on this occasion was having issues so the selection of food was limited.

- Lord Michael (8/5): It was a lovely stay, such a shame my first impression on arrival wasn’t better, reception staff need to make a better e - It’s a beautiful estate with lots of amazing grounds and some lovely buildings The property is fine, maybe a little tired in parts. The lady on reception couldn’t been a little nice to say the least. I had driven down 7 hours + from Scotland and arrived at 12:40 and I knew my room might not be ready until 13:30 but she was so uninterested and dismissive when I asked if it might be ready a little early. If you work in hospitality, it pays to at least dress it up like you’re interested not make people feel that they’re a nuisance. Maybe she was having a bad day I thought, let it go….. but it turns out I wasn’t the only one who felt this way or was treated in this manner.

- Kim (7/5): Enjoyed our stay but had a few issues... - Very nice breakfast, helpful staff, fantastic view from the room and beautiful grounds to walk around. The room was a good size and was very clean, with a nice duvet and pillows.. Evening meal was available so we didn't have to go off the property to find food. The bed was too hard for us so we didn't sleep very well and a neighbour must've been smoking out of the window and even with our windows closed the stink of smoke still came into the room. I avoid smoke at the best of times but now being pregnant this is something I completely avoid so was very disappointed about this. There was no shower mat which meant we had to use the only hand towel provided. Finally, the light in the bathroom is automatic...I don't like turning the light on when I get up in the middle of the night to pee as it wakes me up more, the fan comes on with it so makes a noise for a while until it turns off and whilst showering the light turned off and we had to call each other into the bathroom to get it back on again, or get out of the shower, so that was rather annoying.

The staff were all really friendly and the food was good value for money. The bed was a little uncomfortable, the shower was hit and miss with temperature, we could easily hear our neighbours and the radiator in the room clicked and creaked all night.

- Derrick (7/5): A mix of Sport and Heritage - The complex is very large and fairly remote, there are different food options, either in the main house or in the main reception building. The complex is a Sports Complex and not strictly a Hotel but facilities and the services are fine. As long as you are aware of the complex and its functions the stay is good value for money. Lack of instruction on arrival, as where to park and where reception is located. Everybody is very helpful but reducing the uncertainty on arrival would help.

- Phil (5/5): - The food was excellent and very well presented, lovely building and surroundings. We arrived at the main building to check in, the reception later was an older women with grey hair and wore glasses. Once she found our name she stated "oh your only is standard accommodation ". We felt extremely embarrassed andade to feel chaep by her comment. We booked this through Booking.com and did not know what room were booking only what was available. After we checked in to our Standard room, which was clean and had a lovely view we went for dinner in the main building that we booked. After dinner we approached the same women at reception to ask we ask if we could have an iron and ironing board as there wasn't one in the room. Other staff members were helpful in finding this for us and gave us what we needed. As we started to walk out of the main building the same women on reception stopped us and said "Oh you cannot have that it for people in the main building only". She then further said "There is a laundry room in your building and you can use that" she did say "I do apologise".. This again made us feel very embarrassed and humiliated with this unnecessary action and rudeness. I feel this women was down right rude and out of line for not providing a service to us, I feel she went out of her way to embarrass us and to show off to other staff members. She had no clue on how to treat customers and I feel she had her own agenda against people who were new to staying. Not happy and will not be staying again.
- the two of us (6/5): overall apart from the things I pointed out it was reasonable - the veiw was very good breakfast was spot on plenty of choice the grounds are very good First there is no picture of the many steps to get to some parts of the accommodation the room was very tired curtains had holes one cup had cracks in it and in portent from my wife's point of view the heating was off and it was a long time heating up when I eventually found the control (hidden behind a Chair )

- georgina (7/5): - Lovely location, friendly staff My room could have done with improvements, bath panel had crack in it, shower screen had obviously been letting water through for sometime going by the staining at the joints to the wall/bath. Toilet roll holder was broken, and parts of the room could have done with a dust. Tv remote was broken and the kettle had a build up of limescale on the outside along the seem of stainless steel and base. I was only staying one night and was exhausted so couldn’t be bothered to complain about it. I don’t feel this particular room was worth the money.

The House was ridiculously hot and apparently nothing could be done about it. Our bathroom ditto , with a raging radiator that made going to the bathroom uncomfortable. Phone reception was awful. - Leanne (2/5): Such a shame! - View out of window. 1) unable to check in / find correct location at 945pm as hotel main reception had information boards saying check in elsewhere 2) large gatherings of men on site intimidating and flashing car lights at 10pm 3) bed mattress much smaller than base. 4) poo stain finger print on toilet roll. 5) check out on a sunday at 930AM 6) went downto breakfast and no serving staff at 950AM all food either run down or empty. Maintenance staff helping themselves to food. 7) piles of rubbish outside of building 8) before we had even checked out at, maid knocked the door at 9.40am asking us WHEN we were leaving, 9.45am maid returned walked in without knocking and threw the new clean sheets and towels into the room and onto the unserviced carpet while we were still in the room 9) dirty marks on the walls. 10) tiny shower and the head not able to stay in holder so hand held when showering and the cubicle is only 800 by 800 square!l 11) electric chargers blocked in by cars not staying at the hotel.
- Cindy (7/5): Beautiful venue, nice and clean, lovely friendly staff. Could do with better accessibility and disable aids - The rooms were spacious and light. The building and lands were beautiful Considering it is a centre of excellence for disabled sorts events, there was not a changing places room or the option of hiring a hoist
