Guest Reviews
- Cindy (4/5): Not my favourite place to stay. Unfortunate - The staff were very nice and accommodating The room was very hot and the floor was sticky. Also, the air conditioner stopped working at around 5am. We didn’t call down because we were asleep. Woke up around 9 and was very hot. Didn’t realize it completely stopped working.

- Justin (8/5): -
- Fillier (10/5): We had a great time, and we will stay here again - We liked that there was a little restaurant attached to the hotel, breakfast and dinner service was great, all the staff we encountered over the weekend were friendly and helpful, over all this is the best place we've stayed since we started coming to Hamilton a few times a year, and we will definitely stay again! 🙂
- Maya (9/5): Great place, comfortable, but thin walls - Staff was very nice, the room was clean and included a tub! Very close to historic sites and park which was a huge plus! Thin walls, I could hear the people beside us very loudly at 2am
- Bayanes (10/5): -
- Patrick (3/5): Convenient but not a great place to stay. Was more like a 2 Star hotel - The location was great for the venue. Area and people outside of the place, seemed to be a bit sketchy. Room smelled of cigarettes and there was evidence if smoking in the room as there were burn marks in the carpet. This was more like a 2 star booking.
- Ekpang (8/5): I had a wonderful experience, the hotel is accessible and close to major shops and eateries. - The staff were very helpful, guided me on how to get to the hotel since it was my first time in Canada. Them not accepting payment in USD
- Oke (8/5): It was a good stay. Our room was upgraded to a room with king size beds which worked well for us. - The location was great, friendly and helpful staff. The wash hand basins in the washroom only had cold water coming from the taps.
- Yuan (9/5): -
- Katlin (10/5): - Amazing customer service, extremely accommodating
Very friendly helpful

- leslie (8/5): It was perfect. We would book again. - Location was perfect. Just a short ride from the td coliseum. It was in walking distant if we wanted to walk instead. Maybe some small bottles of shampoo conditioner etc. There was a small bar of soap and a make up remover which was nice but maybe a few extras.
- Candice (10/5): -
- Xu (6/5): - Nice customer service, I requested a quite room, and they gave us the last room in the hallway We could hear the coughing from next door; the bed is kind of not steady enough
- Pollard (10/5): - Very comfortable bed, loved the pillows, room was clean and fresh, good rate, and no issues. Nothing
- Jim (10/5): - The staff was incredibly friendly, very helpful and made our visit very enjoyable. We will definitely be staying here again. The room was very clean. We enjoyed one of the newly renovated rooms.
- Colleen (8/5): - Location
- Cwtnaw (4/5): - The staff were really nice The hally u put us down knowing we had a wheelchair
- Beverley (5/5): For what I paid, it was ok, but the element around that place.......no thanks - The room was large, and clean. There are homeless people living in the hotel, smoking all around the outside, bringing their belongings in garbage bags in and out. The smell in the hotel is musty and cigarette smoke tainted.

- Rajini (8/5): -
- Sandhu (8/5): -
- Joanna (8/5): Great - Huge room with really nice bathroom and deep bathtub. Very clean.
- David (8/5): -
- Glen (5/5): I won't go back which is a shame. This hotel has a lot of potential could be so much better - Hotel room was tired but well appointed. Staff were friendly. The restaurant breakfast was good and reasonably priced They used a strong disinfectant in the room. As soon as I entered , my eyes started watering and it was uncomfortable to breath. Even with A/C running ,it was always there
- Howard (8/5): Stay was ok but it appeared that alot of the hotel was being used fo subsidized housingr su - Dinner was good but staff was uneducated on their wine list
- Martha (9/5): I enjoyed my stay here - The room was very clean and the bed was so comfortable. I loved having 4 pillows.
The staff during checkout was so helpful as I asked him if he could please print something for my work that I had forgotten to print and he was happy to help us. I was very grateful and impressed. The faucet in the tub is too small and as a result it leaks on the edges of the back of the tub. They did install a spacer to stop it from leaking onto the floor but it looks tacky. They should install a new facet.
Also there is no complimentary breakfast.
- Barbara (8/5): -
- Roderic (10/5): Everything was perfect for our stay - Perfect
- Rebecca (9/5): - Management can text me if they want to address, very minor!
- Maira (8/5): -
- Zonya (8/5): It was good considering the price, - Room was very clean, including bathroom facilities. Very presentable. I liked that there was a restaurant in case you couldn't go out. Service in restaurant was excellent. I felt the staff was very kind and helpful. I liked the security. The mattress felt like a waterbed. I thought the menu was limited. The meal was dry. I would not order another dinner. My husband ordered breakfast and he said it was not something he would order again.
- Dakota (6/5): -
- Livia (9/5): Cordialidad - Servicio en el restaurant y la atencion muy cordial.
- Joana (7/5): It was a ok place -
- Ann (9/5): - Very clean and quiet. The room was lovely. The staff was pleasant and kind.
- Bruce (7/5): - Room was comfortable. Resturant was terrible. Had chicken pasta and schnitzel were both unedited. Food took 5 minutes to come out so it was just microwaved.
- Maria Luisa (10/5): -
- Galina (9/5): -
- Ingrid (9/5): Functional and cozy lodging with easy get around - Accessibility
- Jack (9/5): -
- Robert (9/5): - Loved the room, it was large and had larger fridge than most hotels.
Bed was very comfortable. Also room and hallways were clean.
Staff were accommodating and polite.
- Brian (10/5): -
- Clarisse (6/5): - Staff was friendly and room was clean. Pillows were not comfortable. Cable TV but guide doesn't work. Flipping channels is a pain.
- BigZebra (10/5): The Admiral Inn is exactly what I wanted in the location I wanted. - The room was well-appointed. No shabby furniture or general feeling of 'crapiness'. Instead everything was fresh, bright and pleasant. I don't recall anything to complain about.
- Robert (9/5): -
- graham (8/5): Convenient location for exploring Hamilton - Location. Value for money It was all good for the cost
- Brad (8/5): Clean polite reasonable price -
- Mamadee (1/5): -
- MARK (10/5): -
- Tanya (6/5): It’s a unique building in a great area! - I loved the look of the building, very unique. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. It’s a bit run down but it wasn’t a high cost so I expected that.
- MARK (9/5): - ALL GOOD
- Diana (8/5): Nice hotel near the RBG - The staff was very friendly and kind. From the people at the door to the clerk and the ldies at he adjacent restaurant. They were all great! The room was comfortable but noise cancelation between rooms is poor. You can easily hear the neighbours' tv or what was happening in the hallway.
- Rick (10/5): - Room clean, beds comfortable, property clean
- Lee (4/5): -
- Yulia (6/5): - The room I was staying in had a door connecting to my neighbours' room. The sound isolation was already not great, but with that door it was unacceptable - I could hear every word my neighbours were saying (and vice versa). One of them was incredibly loud early in the morning when I was feeling unwell and needed to get proper sleep, and I could not get transferred to another room because they were all full.
I also did not expect this place to not have breakfast included. There is only one restaurant in the building; otherwise, you gotta walk for quite a bit to reach any food places (I did not have a car).
The staff were lovely and did everything in their power to help me, no issues there.
- Richard (9/5): - Comfortable room. Construction made it hard to get too.
- Ewa (8/5): - Very spacious room, comfortable beds, everything you need for short stay like us , on the trip to Niagara Falls. Parking space easily available. Good location.
- David Schubach (10/5): - Great location, convenient & affordable. With a friendly and helpful staff.
- barb (10/5): - Great place, big room, cofy bed. Alittle dirty carpets, ceiling on 3r floor is huting but great place.
- Diane (10/5): - Had an easy, fast check in and our room was clean with comfortable beds. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.
- David (4/5): -
- Perrin (2/5): Miserable stay and will never recommend this hotel to anyone. - The staff were good , the restaurant was good. The room was clean. I should have been informed that this hotel, has a majority of lower income assistance clients. There were young kids wearing nothing but a diaper running around the hallways at all times of the nights. I am talking 3 , or 4 in the morning. I was stressed enough after a long drive, and I did not sleep well at all for both nights I was there. Also I had to give a deposit of about 300 dollars on top of my room fee ,in case I smoked in the room. Never have I had that happen before. .
- mazarik (8/5): -
- Oliver (1/5): - Fürchterlicher Ort, schlimme Menschen im Hotel und auf dem Parkplatz.
- Scott (10/5): Good value for money - Gentleman at the reception desk was very pleasant and friendly. The hotel is located at an odd intersection (due to recent construction) with its immediate entry a bit hidden when turning onto the road towards it. It’s an older hotel but very clean. Has an attached restaurant, but I didn’t eat there to know the food quality. Has an elevator, so no struggling with luggage up flights of stairs. Overall good value for money.
- Emily (6/5): - The bathroom was without any conditioner, just a small shampoo. Most staff were not friendly or courteous. Only the front desk staff is polite. The one and only elevator is kind of jumpy and scary with buttons that’s not very responsive. One bed was right next to the noisy fan unit which blows strongly onto the bed even when I turned off the cooling air conditioner and only use fan. The grid wasn’t able to tilt up so I ended up having to use a pillow to block the strong wind blowing against my head all night long!
- Wunsche (8/5): Very good -
- Melissa (7/5): Good -
- Toni (9/5): Superb -
- Adolfo (10/5): - Very good conditions and accessibility
- Kai (4/5): Disappointing -
- Thomas (10/5): - Great place to stay
- Perras (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anthony C (8/5): - It was ok, the young lady at the front desk was great, Iga I believe was her name.
- Davra (8/5): Very good -
- William (6/5): Pleasant - Didnt try Ac not next to bed
- Nancy (5/5): Passable - The people at the front desk were polite. It's sad now. They're dealing with a lot of homeless. I felt bad for the children that were present in the building. Nothing to do.It's pretty boring for them if it wasn't so congested, downtown with the construction, all in front of the building, it was limited to where you could go. I would have went to the dollar store and bought a bunch of stuff for the kids but it was just very inconvenient there wasn't much really to say about the place. Considering the price was a hundred and sixty bucks, they didn't really have nothing to offer.I was standing on the third floor had to go to the second floor just to get ice I can't really say much bad about it.
- Josh (8/5): Comfortable and Clean Room. - Clean Room. Comfortable bed. Close to McMaster. Hallways and stairway could use a renovation/cleaning.
- Barbara (10/5): -
No problems except elevator not working so I had to take stairs up to 3rd floor. My bags were carried up by staff so that was a plus.
- Md (1/5): 1 - Location elevator was out of services. I need to use stairs with 2 baby and 2 big luggages. Carpet and window screen were dirty. Bad smell in stairs area. Unhealthy environment for kids.
- Stefanie (4/5): - The elevator was not working. The room was dirty (specially the rug) with a smell of smoke. There was also a towel wrapped around the smoke detector (meaning someone definitely smoked there). Thankfully our safety deposit was given back.
- Makayla (7/5): Good -
- Evgeniya (7/5): Good - Location is great Elevator did not work
- Denise (8/5): - Property was good! Cleaning staff available everyday. Quiet Inn to stay l! Security on premises at all times at the front lobby.
- Ho (9/5): Superb -
- Anmolpreet (8/5): Very good -
- Priya (10/5): - The staff were wonderful. Front desk employees were fantastic!
- Mohammed (10/5): Everything is excellent - Everything is excellent Everything is excellent
- Chrissy (2/5): - Whatever you do, do not stay here. Our room smelt like dirty diapers, there were homeless families with screaming kids at all hours of the day and night. It's in a horrible neighborhood and it looked like a murder happened in our room. There were reddish stains all over the carpet and drapes. It was absolutely disgusting. I told my husband I would rather lose my $200 and get a different hotel room then stay there. He talked me into staying as we were really only going to be using our room for less than six hours. I sprayed everything with my perfume to get the dirty diapers smell out of the room. I don't think the carpets have been washed in years. Save yourself the hassle. Don't stay here.
- Mohammed (10/5): Everything is excellent - Everything is excellent Everything is excellent
- Alan (10/5): - The staff were courteous, the room was comfortable and very clean. Whenever i needed to extend my stay the staff were quite helpful and understandanding.
- Loril (8/5): - Good area, staff helpful

- Cheryl (8/5): Very good - Clean and relaxing environment Hot water temperature wasn't hot enough for my liking
- Amin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gail (10/5): Exceptional - Felt very safe staying here. It was very quiet. There was a security guard on duty 24/7. There was a weird odour right at the door to the room inside the unit
- Mrrinali (7/5): Good -
