They are the only reason I gave it a 2, otherwise it’s a definite 1! So many choices, not sure why this one is still branded as a Marriott.

The front desk team, the housekeeping staff, and the exceptional staff member in the breakfast area named Lisa who went above and beyond to ensure the breakfast and dining areas were clean and well stocked every day during our stay. She was so pleasant and provided an exceptional customer experience. The only negative thing about my stay is the hotel needs a refresh, especially the guest rooms. Otherwise this was a super stay thanks to your wonderful, caring staff.

However, a few items I take issue with: 1) tall chairs in the room were in need of recovering or replacement, terribly worn; 2) the bar was not open Saturday evening, we wanted to watch a 6:30 football game; 3) was up early letting my wife sleep in, went to lobby at 6:00 AM and asked for the lobby tv to be turned on and the answer was “that cannot be done until 7:00”…
- Loves2Travel_byKim (10/5): 10/10 would recommend if you are ok with walking to get to the main tourist area - We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights, our room was on the 9th floor, it was very spacious, clean, comfortable, and we loved having a full-size fridge as part of the kitchen area. The location of this hotel is about 1.5 miles from Broadway which with traffic is about 10 minutes by car, 12-15 minutes by bike and 30 minutes walking. We used the Lime e-bikes and Scooters to get the Broadway which was fun and convenient. There is also a nearby strip of bars in Mid-town on Broadway that are very fun, but not as hectic as the main part of Broadway, this area of bars/restaurants is about 3-5 minutes’ walk from the hotel. The hotel is connected to the Springhill, you can use the connecting elevator to use their well-appointed pool and gym. The breakfast at both The Residence Inn and Springhill both offer eggs, omelets, sausage, waffles, yogurts, muffins, fruit, coffee, juices and more. I went to each breakfast each morning to get stuff to bring to our room, there were slight variations of items at each hotel. We greatly appreciated the free breakfast by the time we ate it in our room it was more of a lunch and then we'd eat dinner out. Late night snack – there is a fast-food place called The Cook Out directly across the street from the Springhill side of the hotel. The fast-food place has really good burgers, chicken, hot dogs, sides and a huge list of milk shakes. The food is really good, affordable and comes out really fast. We literally went there 3 times for late night eats since they are open until 2am or later. 10/10 recommend. The location is further out of the main tourist area, but we didn't mind using the e-bikes and the cost saving compared to hotels in the main area was great helped us afford other things while on the trip. I would suggest this hotel to anyone who is willing to walk, bike or Uber to the main area. I would stay here again

The breakfast was amazing also The lady that checked us in when we arrived . She embarrassed me in front of a few people who wer behind me for whatever reason. If I could have cancelled without penalty I would walked out. She was a medium set brown lady with long braids in her hair. I told the lady the next morning about my experience and I was told she was probley tired. I feel if someone represents the company they should not treat people who are paying to stay at a hotel like crap cause that’s how I feel I was treated. I won’t stay there again. Just wanted to let someone know.

Then when I arrived to check in they wanted my card again and I have been charged 50.00 by Residence Inn then another 160.00 and then another 97.41 all by Residence Inn for a total of over 480.00 and I am extremely frustrated

The warm breakfast options were also nice. We had some trouble with our room and the staff on Duty got us relocated super fast. I believe Sofia was on of the staff members. She was wonderful and so was her colleague. Parking was ample and simple. Close enough to broadway. I’d stay here again for sure.

- sandym324 (6/5): Ok Stay - Rooms were clean but somewhat dated with worn furniture in the kitchen and tile coming up on the kitchen floor. The room must not be level either, as the kitchen drawers open themselves. The front desk staff weren't the friendliest either. Most of the time they never greeted us when passing by. While they do offer a free hot breakfast, it's the same food every day so if you are here for a few nights, it gets old. The internet in our living area wasn't the best so the internet tv (Netflix) only worked sporadically. The tvs in the bedrooms worked fine though so that was odd. Someone came to check it out but couldn't fix it. The pool, gym, and parking garage are shared with Springhill Suites. We never had a problem finding a parking spot but the spaces are tight so you need to be super careful (we were driving a Jeep Cherokee). Overall, we would probably stay here again if in the area.

- Rong (10/5): - I will be staying at residence inn by Marriott next I’m in town. At time of reservation I didn’t realize it’s a studio with fully equipped kitchen. This means if I had leftover food I could’ve saved it for late night snack lol. It’s easy to have leftover because there are too many more varieties you’d like than you could handle. The room is huge for me as I’m staying for one night without much stuff to lay out. There are additional racks in the bathroom if you want your own skin care products. I am a bar soap junkie so I didn’t use their stuff. Did like the shower head which delivered pretty strong stream for my exhausted body. Liked their complementary breakfast too. Definitely more selections than many I had before. A lot of toppings for cereal and oatmeal. A lot of spreads for toasts and bagels. Distance wise it’s 30,40 min walk from downtown. I simply walked. There are shabu, Chinese bbq, and another Asian style restaurant almost on the same block. All in all I liked it a lot .

- Getaway51258035148 (10/5): Perfect location! - The Residence Inn Vanderbilt is one of our favorite hotels! It was clean, employees were amazingly nice and helpful, the room was super big and we had a kitchen in the room. We stayed there for 4 nights and had amazing homemade supper for 3 of those nights. Nashville is not cheap so it was a very nice option to have a kitchen. The bed was very comfy, the view was really nice. On our first night, we went to the hotel bar to get a little drink (after driving straight 19 hours!). Lee, the bartender, was very nice! As for the location, we were about 25 minutes away from the buzz on Broadway, walking distance. For us, it was absolutely perfect. We explored that part of town a little bit: Vanderbilt University and the Parthenon were not far, opposite direction of the strip. Music Row was also not far. The location is perfect!

It’s convenient enough to walk downtown but far enough away from the downtown noise, crowds and traffic. The hotel was clean and offers a nice complementary breakfast in the morning. Our room was large with a full kitchen and a good price. Free parking in their parking garage with elevators. Easy access to restaurants within walking distance or if you want to drive away from downtown. We would definitely stay here again.

- yesenia (8/5): - The overall experience was great. Few things to note: there’s a parking charge of $35 per day, however you can park a block away with spot hero for cheaper. Sofa bed definitely needs a replacement in our room. You could feel the springs on it. Few more towels for the room would have been great, but can request at front desk. The pool is on the other side of the neighboring hotel, so a bit of a walk. It’s all attached so you don’t have to walk outside. The breakfast is really great. Plenty of great options. Overall, we would stay again.

- Flowerpowerwow (10/5): Wonderful Family Gathering - Large well appointed rooms. We were able to have Thanksgiving in the room with our family. Kitchens were surprisingly well equipped. The staff was delightful and takes pride in the breakfast. No complaints. We had everything we needed for a great gathering. Also, Halls is a good stop for lunch and is very close.
