After having to switch accommodation after arrival in Pokhara I was blessed to be looked after by Shanta who manages all aspects of the cottage rental at Vardan Resort. A peaceful 5 night stay ensued wherein every minor detail was attended to by Shata, from taxi rental to flight bookings. The property is in a prime location, the shower room is excellent with plenty of hot water and brand new fittings. This is a professionally run business where customers experience comes first. I will definitely return and would recommend without hesitation.

- Milisha (7/5): Beautiful property - I had a nice stay at Vardan Resort N’ Apartment in Pokhara. Nestled in a quiet lane off Lakeside, it offers peace, greenery, and easy access to all the lake area attractions. I stayed in a spacious, air‑conditioned cottage. My first room had problems with black ants all over the bed but Santa who was managing the property immediately shifted me to a new room. The rooms are kept immaculately clean, with hot showers and reliable Wi‑Fi. Santa went out of her way to make our stay memorable—from helping arrange airport pickup to offering local travel tips, making arrangements for paragliding. While there’s no in-house restaurant, you’re surrounded by excellent dining spots just steps away. All told, it’s ideal for travelers seeking calm, comfort, and real Nepali hospitality near the lakeside’s best offerings. The first night there were ants on the bed, which the staff should have checked but immediate action was taken by the staff. Hot water was a problem as after they switched on the geyser the hot water would be available. So you have to wait for half an hour. But Santa provided us with hot water in buckets immediately so we didn't have to wait.

- Sabrina (10/5): Really lovely spot - Our family of five (mom, dad, 3 teenaged boys) needed a place to call home during our 4 days in Pokhara, and Vardan apartment was perfect. We were able to spread out, plenty of beds and bathrooms, and the location was great - just across the street from a couple of good restaurants, and a short walk to Lakeside shopping. Bonus: the owner and staff were very gracious, and helped us set up rides to/from the airport and day trips around Pokhara.

My brother and I were treated as family. The owner, Madan, we consider a brother; Shanta, the assistant, a daughter; and the beautiful smiling faces of Raz and Maya still bring a smile to mine. We stayed in the cottages. They're cute, quiet and attractive and the grounds are inviting. It's within a two minutes walk from the frenetic energy of the main street and yet exists in a calming bubble. It was difficult to leave and I look forward to returning. - Laurent (10/5): An exceptional place - This is my second time at Vardan'n apartment resort... the place is incredible, quiet in the city center near Lakeside... the welcome from Madan and Shanta is exceptional... close to everything to simplify your stay, find the reservation you need and lots of other things... the cottages are cozy and very clean and the breakfast as delicious as it is plentiful is served on the small terrace of your cottage... everything was perfect so what else can I say? except that if you have to go to Pokhara for a trek or anything else... in the multitude of hotels in this city... Vardan is the place where you absolutely must stay... Nothing....

- Laura (9/5): Lovely spacious apartment - Massive spacious apartment with plenty of bathrooms. The bedroom had very good AC that even managed to make it feel cold at night. Staff came to clean every day and were very friendly. Had a nice welcome when we arrived and there was the offer of a transfer to the airport. Good facilities for cooking and storing food, and there was a big drum of purified water for use that they topped up when necessary. Excellent location: far enough from the main strip that you don't get the noise from the bars but a short walk to the main street (also a laundry service just over the road and other small shops in the immediate vicinity). It does initially seem expensive for Nepal - but it's a decent price for Pokhara specifically, especially when you consider that you could fit 6 people very comfortably. Did get locked out a couple of times of the main door if coming back late, so maybe a key/lock code would work better? There was also a really pervasive smell of mothballs: I appreciate the attention to cleanliness, but it was quite overpowering and unpleasant (and things that got left in the wardrobe for a long time like clothes or bags started to take on the smell a bit). Some small "starter kit" stuff for the kitchen like a clean sponge and washing up liquid would have been appreciated.

- Justyn (10/5): Quiet and peaceful resort in Lakeside - The hosts at this resort were superb. They helped us to book tickets, rooms, and tours for our next top in Chitwan. The free shuttle was great. The hotel itself is within walking distance of the hurly-burly of Lakeside, but it is very peaceful. The only minor complaint I have is the front gate is locked after a certain hour at night. However, the security guard will let you in if you get his attention.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Roligt og afslappende hotel - Det er et rigtig hyggeligt hotel, som ligger lidt væk fra alle butikkerne, men det tager stadig kun få minutter at gå derhen. Det er et roligt område, hvor der er god mulighed for at slappe af og personalet er meget venligt.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Beautiful, suberbly clean, one of a kind cottages - Very clean, simply & stylishly decorated cottages that are designed in traditional Nepalese architecture. Although preserving the old architecture, there is nothing old in the rooms/cottages themselves! Sheets & towels were spotless as was the room & the bathroom - both times I stayed here! Very friendly service and free AP pick up and drop. Hot shower was always available. Bfast & laundry also available on request. The room was built so well that it was not nearly as chilly as it usually is in other places at this time of the year (but the room air still very fresh). They even brought a hot water bottle in the evening to give you sweet dreams. The hotel is in a peaceful location, on a sidestreet, 200 metres from all the shops & cafes of Lakeside and surrounded by a small, beautiful garden which you can enjoy from your own cottage terrace. Really recommend this place!
- Andrew (10/5): Great stay, wonderful staff, cute place - We stayed here for about a week. The staff is amazing. First off the manager, Nabaraj, helped us plan a trek. He gathered our permit in advance and was not pushy about selling us a guide or porter, which we did not use. Also, he helped me plan a birthday dinner for my fiancé, in which he made us dinner reservations and bought a cake that he had sent to the restaurant. The rest of the staff was very warm, friendly, and willing to help with anything. The rooms were incredibly clean with great attention to detail. The location is right in the middle of the lakeside area and walking distance to everything. The rooms are very tastefully decorated and are situated in a nice garden setting. We really enjoyed our stay here and would highly reccomend.
