• Kwenton (5/5): Location ia great but the hotel needs work - They location and they had a pool It wasn't very clean and the room had many utilities that weren't working. The room had some maintenance issues that could've been fixed before our stay.

• Jennifer (9/5): I loved my short stay very much! - Clean rooms and great space with two queen bed rooms. The shower/tub would fill up a little fast and slow to go down. But still great and clean!

• Patricia (1/5): Security Breaches and Double Charge Made This Stay Stressful - The location near the beach was convenient. There were serious security concerns during our stay. Someone attempted to open our room door at 1:40am , and maintenance entered the room without notice at 3:40pm. When we reported these incidents to the front desk, we were told our room had somehow been marked as vacant even though we were checked in. We went to the front desk twice after these breaches, but the situation was not handled in a reassuring way and made us feel unsafe. To make matters worse, I was also double charged for the stay. When I contacted customer service, the incident was largely brushed off and I was told I would have to dispute the charge with my bank. The combination of the security issues and billing problems made this a very stressful experience

• Newell (7/5): Good, but some of the patrons were sketchy! Hanging out in parking lot very late. - Breakfast, clean room, good bed! Some of the other patrons (cant blame Best Western).
• Shelly (7/5): - Everything was nice except the fact that they told me it was $20 a night for pets over the phone and then when I checked in he told me it was 30 and then when I got my bill, it was $35 a night. Will not be staying there again due to the dishonesty in price.

• Bobbie (10/5): This Best Western is good people. Book now. - Literally our millionth time to stay here. Nancy pretty much the best front desk lady on earth, clean rooms, hot shower and a breakfast buffet that comes with waffles in the shape of Texas as the good Lord intended. Love you, Best Western. I didn't like that we had to leave.

• Pinola (9/5): Will be back - The older lady that ran breakfast was amazing. The ladies that handled housekeeping did a fantastic job. Microwave broke, but they replaced it the next day. Breakfast options were just standard fare.

• Elizaveta (7/5): It's not a bad option if I were staying alone, but I was with children, and I'd rather pay $20-30 more next time - I liked that everything was quiet, the neighbors didn't bother me, that the area was non-smoking, the breakfast was not bad, but there were very few eggs, I took the last ones, although it was only 8:30 in the morning, there was a clean toilet and a towel. I didn't like that the bathtub had hair in it, and there was also a lot of trash behind the cabinet. We were with children and I had indicated in advance that we needed a crib when we checked in, but there wasn't one. I had to go get it and take it and drag it to the room myself. It turned out that it was broken. It didn't open because the locks were broken on both sides. The closet door was also broken, but that's not a big deal. There was no kettle to heat up water for tea, there was a coffee machine that barely worked... the pool wasn't exactly clean.

• Hwa Hyung (8/5): - The front desk staff were friendly, and overall, the hotel was quite good considering its location on a busy street. The breakfast time was from 6 AM to 10 AM, and I went down at 8 AM, but most of the food was already gone. I waited for about 30 minutes for them to replenish the food, but even though a staff member came out, checked the situation, and went back inside, they didn't refill anything. Despite there being only a few types of food available, almost everything was gone, and I ended up just scraping the bottom of the serving dishes. I left feeling very dissatisfied. Their stinginess with replenishing the food ruined the overall image of the hotel.

• Brooke (3/5): Terrible Rooms, Okay Location - The location was excellent. This was the worst Best Western I have ever stayed at, the pictures on the listing intentionally hid the current state. The hotel is going through renovations at the moment. The bathroom was incomplete and the coffee maker was broken. The breakfast was terrible - the potatoes were watery. Additionally, there was dust on the ledges of the room and the beds were not very comfortable. Lastly, while we were enjoying our post-beach rest, we were asked to vacate our room so they could install a new lock as a part of the renovations....I could not believe that they had these rooms available when they are so incomplete.

• katerie2016 (6/5): Terrible Beds 318!! No USB Ports in room! - First off the staff were great!! The problem is old beds that the springs made loud noise just sitting on. Not counting laying down and if you change position while sleeping. It was not arestful 2 nights. Then we realized there were no USB Ports at all in our room. The evening clerk told us they were in the lamp- NOPE. The morning Clerk told us we could pick up an adapter at Stripes. The hotel changed clocks so there were more more charging ports. I’d say this hotel needs to update beds and also fix the USB situation

• Anton (4/5): Will not be back. - This was our third time on the Island, so we had something to compare it to. Location is not good. Every time you drive to the beach, you have to make a u-Turn in heavy traffic. The building is old and showing it. Cleanliness is an issue. Cobwebs above the curtains in our room. A cigarette butt was left on the stairs the whole week during our stay. Which means it was not cleaned once. Breakfast was not good, either (very few choices, eggs way oversalted, sour milk).

The free breakfast area was really nice and clean and Nancy was very helpful. That was the highlight of the stay. The waffle bar was great and the biscuits and gravy were delicious 😋.

• nicolee655 (10/5): Best hotel on the island - hands down! - We stayed in a suite at the Best Western for a spontaneous last minute trip down to the beach and this is the cleanest hotel I’ve stayed at in a very long time! The room smelled fresh and clean (not perfumed), the floors had no sand, the linens were immaculate and the beds were so comfortable. We really found like we stumbled upon a hidden gem on the island it was so nice! The pool was nice and had comfy furniture with some shady cabanas. Our kids loved the breakfast, especially the Texas shaped waffles. We seriously have NO complaints about this hotel- the staff was all so friendly and clearly took pride in their hotel and their work. This is our new go-to place to stay on Padre!

• Shannon (10/5): Affordable clean convenient - We have been staying at this hotel for about 15 years throughout our time taking trips to Corpus we love the proximity of this hotel the price is a reasonable price the rooms are comfortable the air conditioning was great check in was wonderful we had a small problem with the room card there were multiple times where it was hard to get the key to respond to the lock but that was a small thing for us I just love how this hotel is close to the National Seashore. We just really enjoy this hotel and we look forward to our next day

• Verified traveler (6/5): - Our room smelled of mold/mildew, we bought air freshener pods and clipped them onto the AC to freshen up the room - which finally made a difference by the 4th day when we were leaving. We had to ask for housekeeping several days in a row before getting new sheets. The staff were very nice, but the whole facility is severely shortstaffed. The complimentary breakfast was good each day.
