Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (4/5): - _xxxyyxxhjghmxxuy lsk. Jfv v vfjcbjxj cxjkcx bvuk. Klckvlxvnlgnhvocbcbk
- Rene (8/5): Preis Leistung passt!
- Lisa (8/5): eat location - Very nice hotel, great location. Breakfast was good, my room had a functioning balcony with a view of the Zugspitze. The only drawback was their pullout couch was not large enough for my 60 pound daughter she had to sleep in the fetal position.
- JOSEPH (10/5): Garmisch charmer - Hotel was convenient to downtown Garmisch and staff wad very helpful with recommendations for dining. Good breakfast service.
- tom d. (10/5): Beautiful area - The location was excellent, with a bus stop right out front and within an easy walk to the pedestrian zone of the Partenkirchen side. We had a nice view of the mountains from our balcony. The hotel served a great breakfast buffet at a good price.
Gute Busverbindung.
Sehr freundliches und Hilfsbereites Personal.
Komme sicher wieder!
- Christian (10/5): - Very relaxed and Very good.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - This hotel has no air conditioning, which would have been fine, but the windows are really the balcony door. Others smoke on the balconies and the smoke comes right into the room. Also, they only change the towels every 3 days. You have to pay 10 Euros per day if you want fresh towels.
Breakfast was quite good.
- Maya (2/5): Two-Night Challenge - Too many to list. But here are the few:
1) The elevator doesn’t work after 11pm, and is so small that a person over 6 feet would have a hard time fitting inside, especially with any luggage.
2) The towels are like sandpaper; so if you need daily exfoliating, this is perfect.
3) The avocado green tub perfectly hides any mold.
4) The corridor looks like you are in a sanatorium.
5) Room consisted of mismatched furniture, brothel-meetis-lumberjack style.
6) We arrived late, and our room key was outside in the unlocked “safety” box.....
The receptionist lady Lucia was very nice and kind; and therefore I don’t want to go into details about this ugly place so she doesn’t lose her job. But she should leave. Remodeling, remodeling, remodeling was overdue 10 years ago. Go elsewhere.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Location was good and the facilities were excellent!
- Brenda (6/5): Basic but very clean - Basic amenities, very clean, good location, parking limited, breakfast basic but ok.
Just a little feedback on the lift, the door function is quite frightening, as you exit the lift they tend to half close and you think the door is shutting on you. My elderly mother was quite scared of them but needed to use the lift as she found the stairs difficult.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nettes Personal. Ruhige Lage, trotz der Nähe zur Hauptstraße
- Ronny (8/5): - Et greit hotell litt over gjennomsnittet. Trekk for harde senger og små puter. Dårlig utvalg på frokost bufeet trekker ned. Pluss for kort vei til byens fasiliteter.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very small shower. But besides that, it was ok.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Prima Ferienhotel - Prima Ferienhotel, etwas „altbaksch“, aber sympathisch. Gutes Frühstück und kinderfreundlich.
- Christian (10/5): Stay here - I would recommend to stay here for a pleasant and comfortable stay in Garmish. Helpful staff, great breakfast, the right price!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - If you’re on a budget, stay here, other than that I wouldn’t recommend this place. It’s super loud throughout the night & morning. The hotel echos so you hear everything! The staff are not friendly, they don’t speak any English. They don’t greet you. My husband was getting breakfast & a staff pushed him out of her way. The beds are hard, bathroom is small. I’ll never stay here again.
- Eric (6/5): Not bad for the money - Basic but functional for a short hiking weekend. The front desk staff was awesome. You can walk to some things and fir longer stays you get a bus pass.
- Chris (10/5): Euro trip - Great place to stay.
- Adam (8/5): - Hotel located close to the historic section on Ludwigstraße. Overall a good experience. The staff was very helpful, breakfast was good enough, and the rooms were definitively in line with what you would expect. Nice also with some free parking spaces at the hotel. Were quite few people there during the stay, but can imagine that there at times would be some noise coming from the other rooms; as the walls were quite thin. Another downside during the stay was the lack of hear in the room. Was more comfortable in the bathroom. Otherwise a great stay!
- Patrick (8/5): - This is a good hotel located within walking distance to the the Old Town area.
- P (10/5): - Very convenient to airport. Enjoyed complimentary breakfasts. Clean rooms but on small side.
- laurel (10/5): Great hotel - Great hotel. Would stay again
Veldig hard madrass. Dusjkabinettet var ikke ordentlig rengjort.
- David (8/5): - Reasonable hotel for the cost
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice hotel overall but the bed was a little small. Shower and bathroom was pretty cramped.
- Kai (6/5): - Hotel i‘ts ok for One day . Room Not clean. Breakfast ok, and staff ok !
- Wojciech (10/5): Bardzo przyjemny hotel - Bardzo przyjemny hotel
- MILE (8/5): Good for the price - It was good for the price. Friendly staff.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was perfect and ideal.
Staff was responsive and helpful.
No complaints about the room also
- Victoria (10/5): - Very small bathroom, you almost couldn't use the toilet!
Nice service for our late check in. Really helpful service!
- T & R (6/5): Perfect, when you're just there for a short time. - We were there for 2 nights and for that, the hotel was great.
The hotel has pretty thin walls, so when it's full, you can hear your neighbors' noises. The room was pretty small and the bathroom even smaller, but sufficient for the short time there. It's clean and the room was equipped with pretty much everything one needs, except for a fridge, but since it was winter, we could put our stuff on the small balcony.
There was also a sauna we used after skiing, which made a lot of difference.
- Julian (6/5): Nice hotel but too far away - The hotel is only suitable if you have a car. It is too far from the town, the train station and the ski resort. Bus only goes every 45 minutes and is often late so careful planning required as well as patience at the bus stop. Only breakfast provided, but plenty of options for dining in town. Staff were friendly and room kept clean.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Atlas sport Hotel - The hotel is very basic and is more of a hostel than a hotel. It is very noisy. Because the rooms are small guest often have loud conversations in the hallways which echo especially late at night. The breakfast was very basic and the quality of food was cheap.
- Courtney (4/5): Be prepared to not sleep - Uncomfortable bed, paper thin walls and unhelpful staff.
- Roberto (8/5): Buona soluzione a Garmish - Buon rapporto qualità prezzo a Garmish.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great location, affordable prices, friendly staff! Would recommend staying here!
- Vinny (4/5): Basic hotel - Nothing special about this hotel except a place to sleep.
- Jorge (8/5): Great hotel, Great staff - Had a good stay. The staff was great. The hotel is small but well located. There is gas station, grocery store, and the business area of Partenkirchen very close.
- Allen (8/5): - We were put in a basement room, to get the lobby had to go up a flight of stairs, over and down a flight. Weird lay out. Hot room. Under staffed.
- Lyle (10/5): Nice place to stay to go to Zugspitze - Nice room with balcony. Reasonably priced. Good breakfast. Good internet.
- ATUL (10/5): - Very friebdly staff, good connectivity, walking distance fm ludwig str and to the partnachklamm
- Rafael (8/5): Nice stay - The room was big enough for the three of us. Unfortunately one of the jalousies wasn't working, so it became clear too early in the room.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - comfortable but a bit far from the train station (about 30mins walk)
- Verified traveler (2/5): Acceptable hotel with quite unfriendly staff - After having arrived at 5.30pm (while check-in started at 3pm) we were told our room was not yet ready without any indication of how long it would still take. We were advised by a very unfriendly receptionist to go away and come back a few hours later to see whether our room might possibly be ready by then. Not to create a fuss, we decided to leave our bags behind and go out for dinner, only to come back at 9.30pm and find the receptionist to be just as unfriendly as before, if not more. After another wait, he showed us to our room, which was located at the end of a hall with lights that didn't work properly, and had two single beds, even though we had requested one large bed.
Asking the receptionist to do something about this, he told us he would have to check whether he could do anything, and that this would take some time, hinting that it would just be better for us to take the room we already had. We insisted he would check on another room, so he did, and unfortunately this took another 20 minutes.
The rooms themselves were surprisingly lovely, but the attitude of the receptionist completely ruined our stay. Also, his colleague the next morning was not much friendlier, so in the future, should we ever return to Garmisch, we will do anything possible to avoid Atlas Sport and its unfriendly staff.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice, clean European hotel - The facilities were really nice but it wasn't always easy to find someone. There was usually only 1 person working the desk.
- Marko (10/5): 4 days holiday in Partenkirchen - Great location (short walk to shops & restaurants), helpful & friendly staff, on-site parking, fast & reliable WiFi Internet, tasty breakfast - all the good reasons to stay in Atlas Sporthotel again
- Ryan (6/5): - Very nice, helpful staff. However, the bed was hard and the shower was moldy.
- Matthew (4/5): Cheap room and it shows - Stayed because cheap price, wouldn't stay again. Bugs in room, dirty, and street noise evident with passing cars.
- Chinghwa (4/5): - Lobby was very dirty. Room is ok. It is very close to town with great restaurant.
- steven (10/5): Beautiful! - Beautiful ski town and forner olympic host at the base of the zugspitze
- Mark (8/5): - All good
- Verified traveler (4/5): Cheap price for a cheap product - The lady who worked at the front desk was very rude. Not only that, but check in isn't until 3 in the afternoon. Which really was an inconveniance.
- Vic (10/5): Very modern and comfortable. - This hotel was great. I was able to call ahead and get a late check in through the automated key dispensor outside. The roooms had a mordern feel to them were very confotable. I highly recomend the breakfast, it was deliecious. We were only 10 minutes away from the mountain and 5 minutes away from the Ice Canyon. It was a great walk. Thanks atlas hotel you made our stay incredible.
- Harley (8/5): Great Except Sleep - The rooms are Nice! Including stylish extras of a Couch & Table. Downfall is parking can be hard to get a spot & the beds are Very Uncomfortable.
- Apple (10/5): nice hotel - Close to bus stop ,good location and very clean,, just walk 5 minutes to Olympia ski
- Ronald W (8/5): although the receptionist seems to be ignoring you - upon entering the hotel, we stood at the front desk for at least five minutes while the receptionist worked on papers at the front desk. she totally ignored us and it really was quite a bit uncomfortable as nobody else was around except us and the receptionist. my wife and i looked at each other, neither of us believing what was happening, and we at least chucked to each other.
after we finally got to give our names, the receptionist changed into a real live person even throughout the rest of our stay, that is through the next morning. totally weird or at least it seemed to us.
the hotel has been freshly and completely remodeled and is in very fine shape. our breakfast was very good, our sleeping accommodations were also very good.
the location is a little hard to get to until you actually know where the hotel is. parking, although free, is also a little difficult as you can park along the side of the building (no parking spots marked) or by one of the four windows along the restaurant side or in back.
- Verified traveler (8/5): A bit pricey for the type of room - Wifi was spotty all of our stay which was a nuisance being an international traveler and having limited conversation
- Michael (10/5): Good. - We were there fir the night and up in the morning. Nothing to really complain about. We did not eat there either.
- FIRAS (10/5): - wonderful hotel the location also service it was good the staff were friendly and helpfl
- Janet (8/5): - It was fine
- Chien Ming (8/5): Great price, clean and comfy - Really more than I expected for the price. Really clean rooms and lobby. Didn't spend much time exploring the hotel as we were only there for a night, but looked pretty decent for the price.
- Rolf (8/5): Traveling and One night sleep here - This hotel is good for a short stay. Clean and small room. We got a low price.
- Paul (6/5): Room much better than rest of hotel. - A strange hotel. My wife uses a wheelchair & was met with a short 45 degree ramp, she had to get out and struggle up the 4 or 5 steps then get back in her chair. Not great. The parking is poor, sporadic areas on grass or puddles. We were told the lift was too small for a wheelchair, so had to be changed to a ground floor room. Once in the room, it was lovely, spacious with modern shower room. It felt like the rooms had been updated, but didn't bother with the rest of the hotel. Breakfast was relatively cheap, about 7 Euros I think, and was a buffet, but the food wasn't replenished, so lots of empty platters for late arrivals. Close to town, and close to the Ski-jump at the 1936 Olympic Stadium. If you don't care about condition of the hotel, but like a nice room, then it's worth considering this hotel.
- MichaelKLDE (6/5): Big TV - I got a nice single room, with a big TV, for a very reasonable rate. The hotel was in a good location: I ran to the ski jump stadium in the evening and walked through Partinkirchen at night. The only drawback for me was that the front desk was not 24 hours; it opened at 7 am.
- Verified traveler (8/5): resonable priced hotel - The hotel is located in Partenkirchen which is the smaller town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Supermarkets, old town center, some attractions are in walking distance. As you pay a tourism fee of 2€ per person per day, the hotel offered us free local bus rides and some reduced entry prices to attractions.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Great breakfast - Hotel staff was cold and usually unhelpful. We asked if they would take our stamped postcards to deposit in the mail and the front desk attendant refused and sent us into town to find a mailbox.
- Rick (6/5): Average. - It was average. Couch in the photos is tiny.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Mixed - Stayed for one night. Furnishings best described as a work in progress. Squeaky bed, great couch, shower head that slid down to chest level repeatedly, tiny new looking television. Dusty. Staff helpful. OK for price paid.
- Brickett94 (6/5): Horrible Mattresses - Location is nice. right across the street from a biergarten and a close 5min walk to the center of town with many shops and resturaunts. Staff was friendly and the hotel was clean however the mattresses felt like box springs they were so uncomfotable. Not a whole lot of parking but we stayed there 2 nights and we found a spot both times. Construction going on just behind the hotel. Not neccesarily a nice view but there are balconies and it seems to be in a fairly safe location. Dissapointed there were no complimentary items(e.g. body wash, shampoo, deodorant, toothpast, etc). In the hall one of our neighbors were palying pretty loud music but we couldnt hear it inside the room so it was fine. They only had 2 pillows in the room and could not give us extra. The TV was very small, probally less than 20in. In summary, room was clean, good location, staff was nice, but no extras and bed was super uncomfortable. A total dealbreaker.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great location. Friendly staff - Arrived at 1115 dog tired from the states. We were allowed to check in early by very friendly and helpful staff. Room was very comfortable and clean. Location is great. 10 min to ski stadium. Grocier store right around the corner. Partinkerchin (5 min walk) Is a beautiful town with great resteraunts. We walked to Garmisch for dinner once, but liked Partenkerchin better & ate there the rest of the week. The area is very safe.
