Guest Reviews
- Mariana (8/5): - There was decent food available although we arrived near midnight.
- Maria Beatriz (4/5): - Old fashioned, mattresses are terrible, everything is very old and need to be renovated.
After a 7 hr delay from a bus trip due to an accident and a closed road, check in was terrible and took so long.
They do not speak Spanish or English which is also terrible
- maria venice (8/5): - Convenient location
- Priscila (8/5): - Everything was great
- Danillo (2/5): - I would not recommend this hotel. The rooms have no windows, which makes them feel very closed in and uncomfortable. On top of that, there was mold throughout the property, which raised serious concerns about cleanliness and health. To mask the problem, the entire place smelled strongly of bleach, but that only made it worse. Overall, a very unpleasant and unhealthy environment.
- Jonathan (10/5): - Staff at check in (9/9/25) were amazing, the girl at the desk was lovely and spoke amazing English. Also, we had a great waiter in the restaurant, younger guy who also spoke amazing English, same evening we checked in - he was wonderful and helpful. The hotel is not fancy, very basic, but it was very clean and very quiet which we greatly appreciated.
- Ousmane (6/5): - The property is convenient given its inside the airport.
However, the property needs to be updated: the painting is old, the room despite being spacious does not have a windows. And the room was not up to the standard of cleanness expected for a 4 star hotel. also when we ordered room service the food was nice but when called to ask where to put the plates we were given the answer to leave near our door. And in the morning it was not cleared away
- Gareth (2/5): - The reception staff were particularly unhelpful and unfriendly at both check in and out, a smile can go a long way! Woken up in the middle of the night by someone else opening the door to our room, who'd obviously been given a key by reception. Followed by a call from reception asking who we were and no apology whatsoever! Hotel in disused terminal, directions to which were poor. The room was dated and in need of a good clean especially bathroom. The only saving grace was the staff in the bar who were friendly and helpful. Dinner was however not great. Bearing in mind it's an airport hotel the lack of an early breakfast was unacceptable.
- Samuel (2/5): - Breakfast wasn’t good at all
- Luciano (4/5): - It is located in an abandoned building. Rooms have no windows.
Very sad place
- Luciane (8/5): - Good to quickly stay
- Alessandro (8/5): - Good option for who has early flight to avoid traffic and unsafe route from Rio downtown to airport, offers shuttle to and from T2.
- Ashok (8/5): - Overall good
- Ivonne (2/5): - Dirty noisy no window hazard
- manuela (10/5): - Nice location perfect
- Ricardo (8/5): - Friendly staff, modest accommodations.
- Andrea (10/5): - Para quem vai pegar vôos muito cedo, é uma ótima opção! Pessoal gentil e atencioso.
- VINCENT (2/5): - Very old. No window. Cold, no enough blankets
- Sean (2/5): - This “hotel” - once we found it - is located in top of abandoned Terminal One. No one - not even information booth - in Terminal Two knew where it was. We found it after a nice security guard pointed us to a long dark walkway between the terminals. Luckily two of the three of us are large men but female guests should not try to locate it alone. Oh, and then the power went out … Twice!
- Cynthia (2/5): - Las fotos nada que ver con la realidad. Cuarto oscuro y viejo con olor a que estuvo cerrado por mucho tiempo. El mando del aire es en la pared y es imposible entenderlo. Piso sucio. El papel de baño son servilletas. Las lamparas de pared no servian.
- Sergio (6/5): Bare minimum - If you have no other means, you can use this hotel. It is enough for crashing between flights, but no more than that. It lacks power outlets near the bed, which forced me to move it closer to one, in order to use my CPAP.
I was clean and the air conditioning worked well.
The bed was enough for sleeping.
- Julio (6/5): - There is no windows in room due to airport which is very quiet I didn’t hear any planes !
- Robert (2/5): WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE EVER !!! - It was AWFUL !!!
First, it was impossible to find. It’s located in the old Terminal One building of GIG, Rio’s international airport.
There are no signs on the building telling you there is a hotel inside.
Once you’re in the building, the old airport terminal, there are no signs directing to the hotel.
There were three men and a woman checking people in. The men were rude and the single woman did all the work. The male reception staff ignore customers, even to the point of walking away when customers came up to the counter.
We were charged an extra $50 for a second person and $30 for parking.
You have to pay the parking at a kiosk in the basement, AGAIN with no directions how to get there.
WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE EVER !!!
- Minako (10/5): - Wrong description, the terminal where the hotel is not operating terminal. This terminal was not connected to actual terminal, and also homeless are there, elevator smell like pee. And room where we stay was very noisy, people walking hallway, you can hear very loudly, because it’s not carpet, and very cheap, thin insulation.
So disappointing, never recommended anyone.
- Francisco (2/5): - This property is below standards
- Fernando (4/5): NO ES OPCION - Es un hotel viejo, en la terminal 1 totalmente abandonada. Habitaciones sin ventanas. No deberia estar funcionando.
- Elenilda (8/5): - Good option for airport stay. You can actually walk from terminal 2 to terminal 1 and hotel is located 3rd floor. Staff was very nice there is also free shuttle from terminal 2 to terminal 1
- Angelica (10/5): - I like the convenience. No windows
- SILVIO (6/5): - T
- James (10/5): - Great people-our flight was cancelled on the tarmac and they took us back in for an additional day after checking out from our initial stay-best option around the airport
- Verified traveler (6/5): Okay - Good for a couple hours if arriving very late into the night.
- Shaady Adly Ayaad (4/5): - rude staff
- Ellwood (10/5): - The management allowed an early check in. :-) The desk staff was very helpful in answering our questions.
- ALONSO (8/5): - Good option if you have to spend the night at the airport
- Patrick (4/5): - bathroom in terrible condition (needs a serious refurbishment / upgrades), dirty water. Sub-standard amenities. very underwhelming place that claims to be a 5* airport hotel. 2 stars at best.
- John (6/5): - Room were stark- did not have windows.
- RAKSHEN (10/5): - Nice
- Gary (6/5): - Was good for what we wanted.
- Barry (8/5): - A bit dated but comfortable and a good breakfast.
- Ruby (10/5): - Nicest people from airport to hotel and restaurant. Would highly recommend.
- Suzanne (6/5): - The rooms are small with no windows. Very basic furniture that needs upgrading. Walls are thin and noise can be heard from hallways and other rooms.
- DIANA (6/5): - The hotel is very convenient if you need to spend the night at the airport. There is barely anything nearby, but the airport. There is a free shuttle. The breakfast was ok, nothing out of the ordinary. The beds are decent, but only sheets to cover you up. The cleanliness of the bathroom needs much improvement. The tv didn’t work, it keeps disconnecting from the internet, and given that all that was available was streaming platforms, the result was no tv whatsoever.
- Kevin (8/5): - Good value. Clean. Convenient to airport. Regular shuttle service to Terminal 2. Food okay.
- Peter (6/5): - The hotel is a standard airport hotel, staff were efficient and professional. My main problem was the hotel shuttle service - which is supposed to run every 5-10 minutes.
I came off a midnight flight, and went the the 24 hour shuttle spot, and waited 40 minutes, then finally went to the travel information counter, which called the hotel and finally 10 min later the shuttle turned up.
- DOUGLAS (8/5): - No windows
- Lauren (10/5): - It was super convenient.
- sammy (10/5): - i like
- Valentina (10/5): - Excellent
- Valentina (10/5): - Excellent
- Steven (10/5): - Its exactly what you want ifbyou have an early flight and dont want to have to worry about getting to the airport.
- Martyn (6/5): OK for a stopover - Friendly staff overall no complaints it’s good for a layover staff are great the transfer bus is a godsend you wouldn’t want to walk it with luggage in tow.
I summery it’s a stop over hotel that serves it’s purpose
- Kevin (8/5): Clean and efficient. - Clean. Good value. Free shuttle service. Very helpful staff. Useful gymn and steam room.
No window in room, presumably to shut out noise, but felt a bit oppressive.
Will stay agains.
- Ashleigh (4/5): - The sheets were dirty, the showerhead was tiny, and there were no windows in our room. Also, the in room snacks were over priced, especially since there were no other options nearby.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - No windows, in a creepy abandoned terminal. Breakfast was decent. Dimly lit tiny gym. Only good for a short stay
- Alessandro (4/5): - Hotel Telephone for calling shuttle not working, the other shuttle drivers helped to contact hotel shuttle driver directly.
During check in i complained with receptionist and he said initially there was no problem with telephone but when i tried to call hotel in front of him the call did not go through but he was still saying there was no problem with the line. Then i mentioned the other drivers told me the hotel line really had a problem he finally confirmed, for me trying to fool the client is not a good thing.
When i suggested to him an easy solution just to put a sign by the shuttle pick up area with an alternative phone he said the manager was aware of the situation and did not do anything to support the clients when trying to contact hotel.
I told him it would not take much from him just to print a sign he said he could not do it.
That was really disappointing.
- Patricia (8/5): - Convenient location within the GIG airport. Located about 45 minutes by car from main attractions. Basic amenities (toiletries, snacks, dining on site and small fitness center) but perfect for my brief stay. Just note the outlets are 220v so bring a converter.
- Gaelle (6/5): - It was convinient
- john (10/5): - Convenient location.
- Roland (10/5): A quiet place to rest - Used the room for 6 hours to rest before a flight
- Nona (10/5): - Close to airport, shuttle from Terminal 1 & 2 so works great. Price was fair.
- Nasir (10/5): - Close to the Airport
- John (8/5): Great hotel for airport stopover - Great hotel for airport stopover
- Olubunmi (8/5): - Easy airport access. Small gym was a great. Wish my room had a window. Remember to bring your power adapter if you're plugs are not Brazilian standard.
- Jose David (2/5): - Terrible airport
- Claire (8/5): - Nice clean hotel, conveniently located near the US Embassy and a subway line
- Charles (10/5): - Location.
- Marcelo (10/5): - Very convenient and safe. Transportation to terminal 2 very efficient.
- Marle (10/5): - Nice
- Claudia Sabrina (6/5): Hotel escondido - El hotel es viejo, da la impresión que no lo han remodelado. La habitación tenía el piso con restos de comida.
La transportación del aeropuerto al hotel tardó mucho
- Luis (6/5): - Near the terminal and free shuttle
- Adam (6/5): - Easy access to the airport but transportation was difficult to get back to the terminal for flight. Ended up walking
- Thales (10/5): - The hotel being besides the airport is very useful.
- Verified traveler (6/5): You cannot stay any closer to the Rio airport. - You cannot stay any closer to the airport. The hotel is part of Terminal 1 that was converted to a hotel. It was sufficient but very basic. But fine for an overnight stay with an early flight the next day.
The only caution is that all of the outlets are 220 volt, so I did not use any of them the night I was there.
- ALVARO (8/5): Perfect for late or early flights - Perfect for red eye flights arriving to Rio do Janeiro
- Colon (4/5): Unfriendly - Hotel is outdated, 1980s style.
Receptionists were not able or unwilling to speak english.
Room had no windows.
Pictures on website are not accurate.
It was not worth the $106 i paid.
- Lilian (8/5): - Inside the airport facility; very convenient when we are in transit as it is super safe and has an excellent restaurant inside
- Robson (4/5): - To start, the hotel is located in what looks like an abandoned airport terminal. The area is eerily quiet, with no signs of life—almost ghostly, especially if you arrive at night. It’s unsettling and doesn’t give a great first impression.
Things didn’t get better once I got to my room. The bed sheets were clearly not clean; it was obvious they had been used before. This is unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one that advertises itself as comfortable or professional.
The bathroom was another letdown. The shower drains were clogged, turning the shower into a bathtub within minutes. It’s both frustrating and unhygienic, adding to the overall poor experience.
It’s deeply disappointing to stay in a hotel where basic cleanliness and maintenance are ignored. I would not recommend this place unless significant improvements are made.
- Alejandro (8/5): - Está en el aeropuerto literalmente
- Christine (8/5): - A bit hard to find. It would help if the hotel sent instructions on where to go to catch the shuttle or better signage at arrivals.
- Gary (6/5): - Unsure if i just got double charged, i thought i payed when i put the resevation on line, won't know till i get home and look at the bill.
Nobody spoke any English and my portugese is still in it's infancy.
- Evaldo (8/5): - Nice hotel
- William (10/5): - A little different, being in a somewhat vacant part of the airport.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Clean and comfortable - The room and bathroom was very clean. Bed was comfortable. Slept well before an early morning flight. The hotel is in Terminal 1. It is an easy 10-15 minutes walk to Terminal 2 where all the flights operate from. I believe there is a free shuttle for those who don't want to walk.
- Lilly (10/5): - Great front desk staff and services
- Debora (10/5): - Great staff
- FRANCISCO (6/5): - The area of the airport is almost empty and feels abandoned. The rooms are noisy
- Maria (8/5): - It is very convenient to stay overnight when one is flying early.
- Christopher (6/5): - Shuttle phone is at quiosque and pick up is in different area. The phone at quiosque is terrible all static and cannot hear anything from hotel staff
- Katherine (2/5): - Not good
- Andrea (8/5): - the floors are kind of noisy, and because everyone passes by around with luggages, rhere is a constant noise, overall it's safe, clean and convenient to stay , it makes all easier
- Stan (4/5): - Bad experience. No view. Dirty. Was charged extra for 2 hour earlier check in. Even though told the receptionist that will be checking out in a few hours to catch a flight.
- Thaisa (4/5): - The hotel is very convenient for it’s location but is in a deactivated area of the airport, still under renovations so it feels unsafe. There was a lot of noise throughout the night and since the bedroom was quite small and no windows, it felt like a bunker. We also had small flies coming out of the sink when opened the water to wash our hands. The staff is lovely and ready to assist, but installations need renovation.
- Flora Mary (10/5): - They were charming and helpful . Great breakfast!!!!
- Edward (8/5): - Hotel is in the airport. It's in Terminal 1 precisely. Currently T1 does not have any flights so the terminal is "dead." Some people cannot take Uber directly to the hotel because the driver says they cannot go to T1. There's a considerable distance to go to T2 which is where the flights are. Fortunately they do have 24-hour free shuttle on the 1st floor.
Since the hotel is in an airport terminal, there are NO windows. The floor is a bit unclean. But overall it's been a nice experience.
- EBANO (4/5): - The first room was the size of a closet. So small that we did not have space to open our luggages. The second one was decent. Everything overall is old and looks beat up. I guess it’s what you should expect from a airport hotel in Rio however we stayed in much better one around the world.
- Jaime (6/5): - The staff weren’t that welcoming had a little attitude and they charged me for snacks
- Charles (6/5): - This is great and convenient for a stay between flights. The food was ok, and the staff is very friendly and accommodating.
- gergely (8/5): - Basic hotel in the now no-longer-operating terminal 1. We arrived at 6.00 pm into what was a leftover from the mid 70’s concrete heydays. The rooms are refreshed with basic furniture and a newish bed, but the rest is very aged. You can walk to terminal 2 indoors which is the only operating one, which is a plus. Staff friendly. Leblon has been left very far behind…
- Marcelo (10/5): - Hotel dentro do aeroporto, super conviniente pra quem estiver chegando de viagem ou indo viajar. Eu ficaria lá novamente com minha família.
