• joy (6/5): - beach is really nice. the restaurant/bar staff is nice. was not informed that there are (2) sections of the property separated by the road/highway. if not beachfront, you will have to cross the road to get to the beach + restaurant. reception was under construction. Maria was helpful when prior to check in but was not there when we checked in. Pamela was not as accommodating and quite rude---pressured us to upgrade to oceanfront for extra charge! also, our A/C stopped working in the middle of the night :(

Все таки наверху ступеньки тяжелы, подойдут молодым здоровым. И в номере пусто вообще, кровать шкаф и столик с стулом и теликом и мини холодильником . Ничего нету - ни посуды ни чайника ни кружки ни стакана, ни тарелки, увы в номере делать нечего когда дожди идут. Но для матрасников наверное пойдет. Аля прийти поспать и лежать на лежаке на пляже с кучей попрошаек.

• Daisy (8/5): Great location on the beach front, attentive staff, rooms are basic but adequate - The rooms themselves are a bit run down but still very spacious. The location makes up for this as it’s a few minutes walk to the beach and the hotel reserve sun lounges and chairs with drinks service on the beach front under the trees for some shade, which is great! Lots of monkeys and wildlife around! The breakfast is also served at the beach front with lovely views. Really enjoyed the breakfast and coffee! Staff are very attentive and helpful.

• Emma (5/5): - Proche de la plage et de manuel Antonio Attention ⚠️ si vous réservez une chambre vu sur rue. Ce n’est pas une chambre correct avec une vue sur la vue, c’est une chambre digne d’un motel à 30 dollars, avec aucun équipement, pas de tv, à part une table minable en plastique et un frigo posé par terre. Le système de fenêtre ne permet même pas de la fermer, vous avez donc toutes les bêtes qui peuvent rentrer ainsi que le bruit de la seule route passante à 5 mètres de la chambre juste devant. Nous avons cependant demander à changer de chambre au vu du prix payé, la réceptionniste est elle très sympathique et a trouvé des solutions à nous proposer. Il manque quand même des équipements dans les autres chambres et le petit déjeuner est à améliorer… Une partie de l’hôtel est de l’autre côté de la route donc il faut monter beaucoup de marches pour atteindre sa chambre, sous 30 degrés.

• Lauren (9/5): Lovely Stay, but there is construction - Overall we really enjoyed our stay at Karahe beach hotel. The location was great, plenty of parking, wildlife everywhere and the staff was amazing. The room we ended up with was incredible, clean, comfortable and plenty of space. We loved it (even though that wasn't the plan). The pool and hot tub was very nice. I was little worried about breakfast from other reviews but honestly we thought breakfast was very good and better than most hotels in the states. Every day had eggs, rice and beans, fresh fruit, and other sides. The staff was honestly amazing overall. So friendly and helpful! When the lounges were full they offered to go get two for us which was very nice. The service on the beach was great and I would recommend the happy hour if you are looking for drinks. I am docking one point of this amazing place because the biggest issue happened right when we arrived. We had initially reserved a villa on the hill as we thought it would be a bit more private and didn't mind walking across the road to the beach. When we pulled up, there was a huge construction zone right in front of the villa that was to be ours. We had booked the villa with the hope of sitting outside and enjoying the view during the day but that wouldn't be possible with active construction (Marie at the front desk was lovely but did tell us the work started at 8am and went to 4pm every day). We were quite disappointed as we had picked the villa for that reason. Marie let us know they did have one room left away from the construction and we did end up paying extra to upgrade to the beach side which we ended up loving, just wasn't what we were expecting when arriving. If you plan to stay in the next couple months i recommend booking the beach side rooms to avoid the construction.

• The Captain (6/5): Great location, mediocre service - The location is great, very close to the park and good restaurants. The climb to the rooms with great views is not for the faint of heart, but we knew to expect that, the road you have to cross, and the ongoing construction. No construction noises to speak of but materials clogging the parking lot at reception. A couple big negatives that would keep us from staying here again. While the restaurant is on the beach and has a great atmosphere, it’s at least twice as expensive as any other restaurant in town. The food was also some of the worst we had while in Manuel Antonio. Comparing their ceviche to the one at Marlin, no comparison at all. Marlin’s ceviche was one of the best I’ve had, and less than half the price, the ceviche at Karahe had a lot of protein but not much flavor. Before coming we saw a lot of negative reviews about breakfast, and thought it would be a little funny to try since the food in Costa Rica is typically so good. Day one we ate somewhere else due to an early tour, day two we ate the breakfast at the hotel. Not much selection, the beans and rice, eggs, toast were passable and filling. Day three we went down to breakfast at 8am, to find all they had was two different kinds of cereal, no milk, and orange juice, nothing else. We went to the beach to swim for a while to find that they hadn’t put any chairs out, threw our stuff on a log and swam for an hour. Came back up to find the same options for breakfast, I guess Tuesday is cereal day? We headed out of town and grabbed breakfast at lapanera in Quepos, which was delightful.

• Joshua (8/5): It was the most beautiful view in the mountain surrounded by the tropical plants and trees looking out on the Ocean each - Beautiful property, they do an excellent job cultivating all the tropical plants on the property. The staff is very friendly and all speak English well. The only sloth we saw on our trip was actually in a tree by the checkout at the hotel! Beach access was very nice with a restaurant right there to eat at and a shower area and pool on the way to your rooms. The only thing that we rented a villa higher up the mountain and it wasn’t quite as private as we expected, there was another villa next to it, but it still felt private. And one night a.. frog maybe? Got into our villa or was at least very close on the outside and was making an extremely loud noise all night which gave us trouble sleeping, but I got up and went searching for it inside and it stopped after that even though I didn’t find it. It also didn’t come back so that was nice.

The fridge was leaking and was replaced on the last day. The room could have been cleaner, if we were barefoot in the room our feet got dirty. The sink faucet was very loose. The sheets had holes in them. The restaurant food was fine but not great.

Arrendamos una villa por la privacidad pero queda cruzando la calle, la primera vez nos dieron la última arriba, habitación 7 y con la lluvia se mojó toda la pieza, pedimos ayuda y nos cambiaron de habitación pero solo nos dejaron la llave, nadie nos ayudó a cambiar las cosas y andábamos con un niño de 1 año. Lo encontré muy feo de parte del hotel que no se preocuparan por siquiera esperarnos en la puerta de la otra habitación, el traslado de una pieza a otra era de una cuadra aprox y la lluvia era torrencial. El desayuno es muy básico y malo, para el precio que uno paga, considero que está sobrevalorado y solo se paga por la ubicación de la salida al mar.

• LLINARES (8/5): Vacaciones en Manuel Antonio - El personal y la atención, excepcional. Tanto el lugar y la habitación muy bonitos y con mucha luz. Los monos juegan por el comedor que está en la misma playa. La comida buena y con excelente presentación. La parada de bus está cerca para poderse mover, tanto hacia la playa como al pueblo de Quepos. La entrada/salida está en plena carretera de zic zac, con bastante tráfico.

• Lauren (9/5): Fantastic family stay - The location is fantastic if you’re looking for a mix of jungle and beach front. Everyday we walked out to the beach and the hotel had chairs, towels, umbrellas, and even wait staff ready for guests. The rooms were very modern. Only complaint is not all rooms were direct beach access. Ours were actually up a flight of steep stairs and across the street. We appreciated it in a way as it was our gym and being that high up gave us an incredible view. With that said, if you are not physically fit I would make sure you get a room at the ground level. Not all rooms are direct beach access

• Irina (6/5): - Breakfast was good The walk from the room to the cafe, pool and beach area was very long, you had to cross a busy street. They give you one key to open gate from the busy street to their pool/beach/cafe area with parking. Beds are hard and noisy. Plus you can hear cars from the street very lawd especially early mornings. Book your visit to Manuel Antonio park before you book this hotel, the tickets to the park are not very easy to get and ome time you need to book them at least a week or two in advance. So plan your activities as one package and do not book a hotel thinking that you will go to the park right there by getting ticket to the park on the day of your trip. The shower is very far from the beach.

• laymis (10/5): An unforgettable stay with amazing service, beautiful beach access, and incredible wildlife - I had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Manuel Antonio. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, especially Juan Carlos, who was always on point with food and drinks. He made the experience even better by being attentive, remembering our preferences, and chatting with us in such a warm and genuine way. The hotel itself was beautiful, with direct access to a clean and stunning beach. The food was delicious, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing and enjoyable. One of the most memorable parts was the wildlife—around 4 pm, monkeys would come by, and we also saw sloths regularly, which made the stay feel truly special and unique. Overall, it was an amazing experience, and I would definitely come back. The only downside was the walk up to my room, which could be a bit tiring at times, but it was definitely worth it because the view from the top was absolutely amazing.

• Jessica (10/5): Relaxing with ease - It was clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. We rented on of the sea view rooms. The stairs are not the problem it the rails seemed wobbly at some points of the journey and since I had a knee operation it was a bit worrisome.

• Edward (9/5): Genial y casi no - La cercanía a la playa, las instalaciones Me parece que a las habitaciones básicas les hace falta una pantalla, si decides quedarte en la habitación en la noche en familia, no hay nada por hacer. Con una pantalla estaría resuelto. Y además un horno microondas. Y algo muy importante es que el balcón no tiene barandas, me pareció muy peligroso para los niños o alguien en estado de ebriedad.

Il personale ha accolto con disponibilità il cambio camera e ha effettuato per noi lo spostamento dei bagagli senza problemi. La camera dal lato della strada era troppo rumorosa, senza zanzariere e con finestre che non potevano essere chiuse.

• Brandy (10/5): Lovely and comfortable spot right on the beach! - The location is perfect! On a less crowded part of the beach- yet a short drive to restaurants. We walked to the park entrance in 10 mins. The road is not easy to walk- steep hill and fast cars- but you can walk to the park along the beach for a better experience. The staff was kind and helpful and the monkeys are very entertaining! I loved everything about it- I would warn that if you have trouble with mobility this would be a hard place to stay. Steep hills and stairs between the pool/beach/restaurant and most of the rooms.

• Julien (9/5): Very nice & walkeable to Manuel Antonio National Park - Stayed in one of the hillside villa, room was spacious and clean, you kind of get a nice sea view depending which villa you get. The beach is gorgeous and easily accessible from the hotel with dedicated sun beds. You can walk to the park in about 20min. Breakfast was standard, a mix of tico and continental cuisine, nothing exceptional but good. Within 10min walk or 2-3 minutes drive you have quite a few restaurants options. Good value for money overall. The breakfast wasn't really refilled completely, if you want plenty of choice you have to get there early.

El personal de recepción excelente, nos ayudaron en todo incluso a contratar un Tour en el parque cuando no habían entradas disponibles fueron muy amables. La chica que nos atendió en el desayuno también muy amables El desayuno es muy escaso. Considero que no es tan costoso mejorarlo poniendo algo más de proteína de calidad y variedad de fruta. Te cobran por todo aparte….bacon, pancaque, café expreso…te ponen el pan duro del día anterior

• 117anneb (10/5): Relaxing stay on the beach and in the gardens of this lovely hotel - Wanting to escape the ice and snow of Alberta, we selected this hotel because of its location near Manual Antonio National Park. We stayed in a room at the top part of the hotel with a gorgeous view of the area. The Costa Rican style breakfast of fruit, rice and beans, eggs, plantains, bread and coffee was delicious. Relaxing in the garden and under the shade of the trees by the beach was amazing for the monkeys and birds living in the area.The water was safe for swimming and some people were taking surfing lessons. Friendly staff greeted you at the restaurant that was open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Stained glass art filling old AC unit. Very clever and attractive. Outdoor dining w/breakfast included Outdoor pool No desk in room. (I like to write) Fridge had three good feet. No corkscrew. No 'how to use' instructions on safe. Only one towel hook. Needed a place for towels to hang. Lighting was dim just inside room. Sliding door needs replacing. No feet washing tap anywhere Food was mediocre particularly Happy Hour menu.

• Mark (10/5): We had an amazing time at the Karahe Beach Hotel. - We stayed in the beach side part of Karahe Beach Hotel and it was fantastic. The staff was friendly and welcoming and the property was absolutely beautiful. There was nothing we didn’t like about the property. The staff worked incredibly hard and were helpful.

Everything was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the breakfast buffet was good, with a great view of the beach.
