• Richard (8/5): - The hotel is in a courtyard with a tree at the end of an alley and is a welcome refuge from the chaos of Main Bazaar. There is also an open air terrace on the top floor. Hot water and ac good, though only at certain times. I have stayed here a few times in the past 10 or 15 years and think it is the best place in Paherganj. The tuk tuk driver from the railway station claimed he couldn't find it, though it's well marked on google maps. Cigarette smoke was drifting through an air vent so we covered it up. No real problems.

• Tatjana (7/5): Good hotel - Wonderful staff. Location quite good near Paharganj. Delux rooms are nicely renovated and clean. Rikshaw can come straight to the entrance. The small lane from Paharganj to hotel is very uneven and usually wet and dirty from the rain. Car taxi can not come to the entrance due to the very small lane. Bedding is old and has some stains on them

• Kathryn (7/5): - Rooms were clean , staff helpful and close to shops and restaurants . A/c worked Rooms were damaged in places. Reasonable for price though and would stay again for a couple of nights

The location is off of the main road on Pahar Ganj so it is quiet but the area outside is very chaotic. Rooms were not ready for us, the sheet I was given was dirty and had many holes and the blanket was wadded up in the closet and did not smell like it had been washed. Showers were cold. Pillows were not comfortable. The location is in a very overwhelming area.

Staff poco cortese, ci provano ad aumentare l'importo concordato x il pagamento della stanza, sia nel mio caso che con un mio compagno di viaggio. Stanze non corrispondenti alle prenotazioni fatte, qualita' inferiore, scadente, televisione non funzionante, frigo rotto etc, etc.

• Fiona (6/5): Not unbearable but check others out around ie. hot water & clean bathroom. - Good location once you find it ( off main bazar road off an alleyway) and quiet for the area. Close to restaurants and the New Delhi train station. A layer of grunge that makes you feel it is overpriced ( not for the area in reality). Hot water turned off all day and when on its barely warm, bathrooms have the grunge corners, dirty double bed blanket ( we had sleep sheets and asked for another blanket) and the main staff dude was pleasant but others slightly grumpy if not tipping all the time. Bringing up toilet paper or a blanket tips expected. Literally fight you to carry back pack for a tip. Just too many staff loitering in lobby looking for something to do ( I get the desperate need for a job etc) but then not actually doing it ie. great clean rooms. The size of room was great and bed comfortable so real possibility and maybe once it was a great little place.

• Raphael (4/5): Not recommendable - - We stayed in Room Nr. 101, which had a lot of burning marks from smokers and was in general very run down. Additionally the bed sheets were torn and the shower didn't work correctly. But the worst thing besides all that was that at 5 a.m. the warm water heater was so loud it woke us and kept running until we requested the reception to turn it off in order to be able to sleep.

L'enregistrement a été très rapide et le personnel agréable. L'état des chambres est tres variable. Ma chambre il y a 9 mois était mieux que celle-ci qui mérite d'être refaite mais je voulais être au 3ème étage car il est à moitié toit terrasse aménagé.

• Neil (2/5): Avoid this place at all costs - Booked 4 weeks in advance, travelled 24 hours with 2 kids, got stuck in absolute chaotic queues on the street leading up to the hotel to get told we had no room. In fact we were told we had not made a booking at all, so evidence presented to who we assume was the manager. What he actually does is take your booking and ignore it as he does not know what a planner is or how to pre book rooms. What he looks out for is maximising his revenue from walk in trade. When you prove his system wrong he books you into a insect invested hotel round the corner which you have to take due to the time and the fact you are travelling with kids, this room by the way is cheaper than what you have already paid, he also makes you pay for the transport to get there, he then says you can come back the next day and try again. We simply booked some where else for the next day and used hotels.com to report this place and claim our lost money back. Unfortunately the manager has no shame and says he must keep the money as it goes against policy. What about policy of providing a room and service which has been paid for? They do not know how to run a hotel. Avoid a book a hotel at least 2 miles away from the venue, you can find some well run establishments.

• Joris (10/5): Great stay in Paharganj - I don't get the bad reviews. This was one of my best stays in India, and considering Delhi isn't great on those, this is quite an exceptional place. Bit more expensive perhaps, but def worth it. Spacious room, excellent mattress (also not super common in India) and all very clean. Handily located in a quiet side street of a side street of the Main Bazaar Road, so it was even quiet! Nothing, really. They could beautify their rooftop a bit perhaps.

• Kevthep (5/5): Parghanj experience & Ganga Cottage - The location was very good, easy & cheap transport options. Main attractions of Delhi all within easily reached locations. Good quality eating establishments such as the everest roof top bar served decent quality meals and beer at reasonable cost. The staff were very helpful and approachable. The premises are tired. Linen & bedding would benefit from a total revamp - some elements were not fit for purpose. I think most people would be willing to spend more on staying if there was an upgrading of the premise.

I’ve been staying here for the last ten years at this hotel Most of the staff have been working here for that whole time too so that continuity makes for more friendliness. Higly recommended

• Lorraine (5/5): I would not stay here again. - It was an incredible price and the location is a minute walk onto the main bazaar. We arrived to find one of our rooms had just been given to someone else and that we would have to wait until 5am for another one to be available. This was despite the fact that I’d booked 10 months ahead! It was incredibly noisy with guests who stood in the hallway to talk through the night.

A lot of light comes through to the room when trying to sleep and the sheets didn't feel very clean. Only given one towel for 2 people and no top sheet. We cancelled our booking after one night and moved to different hotel

Even though being at the centre of Paharganj this hotel is really quite and you can get a good nights sleep without hearing the very bush street with all vehicle honking. It's an average hotel, therefore it fulfilled by expectations
