Guest Reviews
- Valeriya Andreivna Vyalkova (8/5): -
- Steve (5/5): I will not stay here again - Bed was terrible, room was not clean, there was a squashed cheezel on the floor. Sink did not drain and smelt bad, general condition of the room was very run down
- Gayle (10/5): -
- Shiori (10/5): -
- Hannah (8/5): -
- Jasmin (10/5): Fantastic place to stay as a family. We will definitely be back! - Heaps for kids to do, bed was very comfortable. Location was great.
- Beck (5/5): - Shower was powerful - only positive Very dirty. Poor bedding
- Andrea (10/5): -
- Mike (10/5): Delightful - Clean and comfortable, staff were great and loads of space for the kids to play
- Trang (9/5): -
- Jacinta (5/5): Good location but no good for wheelchairs - Location Not wheelchair friendly
- Michelle (5/5): -
- Kate (9/5): -
- Cox (9/5): Great park - Plenty of activities for children during school holidays. Food trucks, coffee van and bar excellent additions. Jumpy pillow went down too early (from kids)
- Emily (10/5): - Rooms where excellent, very family oriented and amazing staff
- Alana (9/5): - Lots of kids activities, good location close to main street.
- Christine (8/5): Relaxing - Facilities and location to town All good
- Jan (7/5): loved the amentities great set up for kids love the bar and food trucks and the outdoor cinema - shower not clean living area floor streaky dripping taps in bathroom sink
couch is worn so much the white is showing through the pleather holes in pleather
- Thompson (5/5): - Pool, slides and staff. So much pet hair on lounge. Plumbing had a bit of a smell.
- Lisa (6/5): - Accomodation wasn’t clean and furniture was dirty with dog hair bathroom needed updating
- Hayden (8/5): -
- Richard (9/5): -
- Emma (7/5): An easy stay, in a central location, that was good for kids. - Close to main street of Tanunda
Bathroom and kitchen facilities were great and clean.
Beds were comfortable.
Would have made better use of food and drinks van, pool and splash area had the weather been kinder. It felt a little grubby. Carpets were stained, walls were pretty banged up and there were quite a few flies and mossies already in the room when we arrived.
- Jenny (9/5): -
- Mark (7/5): - The park is in a great location, and had great facilities, including the big screen for the footy. The cabin was on the small side and a bit dated, the couch was stained and dirty.
- Luke (10/5): -
- Cameron (1/5): These poor quality cabins need to be burnt to the ground and replaced with the product advertised. - Nice pool and big bouncy pillow areas for kids. The cabin type allocated (cabin #25) was the lowest quality cabin ever experienced. The pictures on booking.com were reflective of better quality cabins and not that allocated. The cabin was akin to a 1 star accommodation or trailer park trash. It was tiny, not clean (pubic hair in shower, blood stains on sheets, dust under and around beds, couch covered in stains), poorly maintained with banged up/scuffed fridge cupboards and walls, sliding door broken. The view from the bedroom of the overgrown bush and scrappy car park was was terrible with windows covered in bird crap. Extremely poor value for money, I would not pay $50 for this accommodation let alone the $264/night paid.
- Wood (10/5): -
- niki (10/5): We absolutely love this holiday - Loved the heated pool, the water park and the Verity of BBQs that were located conveniently everywhere When staying more then one night a little extra of daily things like garbage bags, tea towels ,sponges ECT would be handy
- Bridget (10/5): Great location for wine touring - Excellent location and facilities. Nothing- everything fab
- Paul (7/5): A comfortable and relaxing place which is nice and close to town. - The birdlife. The location to town. The washing facilities. The shower could have been cleaner.
- Symeonakis (7/5): -
- Bernadette (10/5): - Location , cleanliness All good
- Steven (6/5): Economy cabin.
. - Great location and staff. Amenities (bins/BBQs/playgrounds) all good. Wifi in the room very poor, unable to stream netflix on the smart tv provided (and No ABC channels for kids). Was advised when I called them "yea the wifi barely works here" although it's advertised as available.
Would'nt have bothered me if I didn't have 2 under 2. Although a little transparency would be nice before spending over $500 for a couple of nights stay.
- Susan (10/5): -
- Philip (9/5): Tanunda - Great location. Great pool and kids water park.
- Francis (8/5): Great place to stay and resonably priced, good facilities - good location, easy to get to.
- Graham (7/5): -
- Nicole (10/5): -
- Syrina (10/5): -
- Christine (9/5): Thankyou -
- Matt & Jackie (8/5): - Great Location, close to town.
Atmosphere of the park was great We stayed a week and wasn't given fresh towels and had to go get toilet paper myself. I think paying for a service and seeing house keeping everyday, they could have dropped off toilet paper
- Helen (10/5): Perfect -
- Moursellas (7/5): - Rooms had everything we needed so ill pack less next time.Kids area and entertaining space was nice.
staff were friendly but didn't recommend anything further than my room key and map . Facilities were great plenty of space for catch ups and BBQ.Loved the indoor kitchen and play space. The caravans in the middle of everything blocked of views from the cabins and the lounge room TV was small and no no internet connection so was limited as what to watch.
When I googled it came up with 2 swimming pools and once their realised it was in a private area exclusive to the safari tents so a little misleading.
- Lindy (7/5): Good value and location. - Good central location for Barossa. Good to have separate pool and spa for this adults-only area. Nicely situated among trees. Some traffic noise from the main road nearby.
- Candice (10/5): -
- john (7/5): Stay was pleasant - Higher toilet .Too low for older people. Space between bed and wall awkward for elderly. Bird problem with droppings.
- Rebecca (9/5): Great place to keep kids active - The kids had a ball and lots of activities
Extra activities for christmas were fun and staff were friendly Tv in room small and just free to air with only 1 or 2 channels working.
- Cassandra (8/5): Looking forward to coming back! - Great facilities, coffee van, food trucks, location was spot on The bed was rock hard - awful sleep for my stay
- Linda (5/5): We won’t be back - Nice kids areas including the pool. We stayed in the deluxe 3 bedroom, I am still looking for the deluxe bit of it. Entrance brings you into a bare lounge room with a ripped lounge, lamps that broken, not a place you would like to spend time in. Serval items is the kitchen where broken, a BBQ was advertised but nowhere to be found. Overall everything was very basic for close to $500 per night. Also very disappointing that not all pools were allowed for all guests staying. Special exclusive area . Would have been good to know prior booking. Also the front desk staff was so unprofessional. No hallo or any friendly words. Hired the pedal wheeler and all what we got was “that’s $15 for 30min”. We won’t be back for sure!! Cannot recommend .
- Carolyn (5/5): - Central location The cabin was dirty, the couch putrid. All windows filthy virtually opaque. Fly screen had holes on security door.
- Bernadette (10/5): Awesome - Very thing was clean. Close to everything you want to do
- Anne (10/5): Awesome safari tents - An excellent stay in the safari tent. A lovely adults only area including a pool and BBQ area The car park for the safari tents is a little walk from the tents, it might be a good idea to provide trolleys or something with wheels to help guests move luggage and supplies to their sagar tents.
Luggage with wheels would definitely be recommended.
- Emma (10/5): -
- Joshua (5/5): Passable for a night - The water park and play area for kids. Also within walking distance of main St of Tanunda Very very old outdated cabin that needed a lot of TLC. Floor sloping as well as if the cabin was sinking. It was just old. Bed was pretty uncomfortable too. I'm sure
It was clean but It didn't exactly feel clean. Due to how old and scratched the place was.
- Dylan (6/5): - Water park was awesome, communal bathrooms were clean and well kept. Great water pressure. Staff were fantastic, service with a smile! The cabin was very outdated, the mattresses were extremely uncomfortable. Me, my partner and the kids all experienced back pain and poor sleep from the mattresses.
- Nick (8/5): I only stayed 1 night on a road trip, so unfair to judge amenities etc, but I was satisfied with cleanliness & locat - Central location, easy stroll to everything.
- Melissa (6/5): Loved the birds and the area - It was lovely with the birds singing and had everything to offer in cabin. It was meant to sleep 4 people. We booked for 2 but this didn’t mean we wanted to sleep in same bed. Sofa bed wasn’t made so second guest had to use blanket and spare pillow to sleep on sofa.
Oven/grill was not clean had alfoil with food on it.
- Ryan (10/5): Loved it overall, want to book again in January for the basketball carnival but already booked out. - Facilities Air con in our room
- Sheryl (8/5): Overall a very clean and well organised discovery park - Quiet and peaceful (Glamping Tent). Lots of bird life. Great separate pool in the glamping area. Surprised there was no TV in the tent. BBQ's in the common area were not hot enough.
- Wendy (10/5): -
- Heidi (5/5): - Shower was great great -cabin was clean Booked.accomadation because it had a pool . Couldnt use pool -because it was completly paced eaxh time we tried to use
- Tarlei (8/5): - This is our third staying at the park. The park offers alot of variety for all. Upon entering the cabin the sink was dirty and there were ants on the beaches.
- Tyler (10/5): -
- Debbie (6/5): This was the 3 rd time we have stayed and we were very disappointed for the amount of money we are paying bet disapointe - Splash park , movie night , & pool No tv in room could only get 1 channel,
Floor was dirty
There was a old shaver left in the shower
We had ants in the cabin every
We had to throw out a head of food
Went to go to bed and there was ants in the beds
- Lee (6/5): -
- Lee (7/5): As above. - Location is walking distance to Town
Lucy tent area js quiet if you like that in a park
The final tent we were given is right on the pool I understand that the park is very busy but
First night we had to shift from our tent and sleep in a cabin as the bed was wet ? We had to leave some of our luggage in room and were put in a deluxe cabin just for the night
next morning we had to shift back again to another tent which was so hot
Unable to use pool today in adult area after 5 as it is locked however it says open till 10 on gate
Unable to cook dinner on bbq in this area as neither would turn on
AS my husband has dementia and has difficulty walking It has been a struggle moving and distressing with 3 changed rooms in a 4 day stay. And then equipment locked off ??
- Darren (8/5): Very comfortable, affordable and relaxing. Small shame about the tree.the tree. - Carpark @ the cabin was under a large tree. The tree dropped debris on my car.
NB: The tree was not there for shade. It was just there.
- Di (4/5): Ok - Handy location The cabin was tiny for the price
- Carolyne (4/5): - Location was great The accommodation, very expensive for a cabin full of mould and dirty sheets.
- Adriana (10/5): - the house was perfect, beds comfy. caravan park stunning with great facilities for the kids
- Gweneth (10/5): First immediate family holiday, great location would stay there again. - Family occupied 3 cabins, one had a BBQ very close. We were able to share the evening meal together. Great location, able to walk into Tanunda. 1 cabin was located in the section for people with pets.
Doggie Day Centre in Tanunda was used. Great idea so dogs didn’t have to be locked up all day. One of our cabins had pets. Would have been great if there was a fenced off area around cabin. Had to have 2 small dogs on leads when opening front door. Not really a problem as dogs well behaved. Wifi dropped in and out. Park was excellent, cannot fault it.
- Nancy (9/5): A very comfortable, enjoyable stay - Easy to find. Great rooms. Staff friendly and helpful. Close to the town. N/A
- Kevin (10/5): Had a fantastic time staying at the Discovery Caravan Park. Would stay again. - It was great location & had water park for kids& jumping castle We were arriving late in the evening and when we arrived self check in was good. Cherry on the cake was lights& heating was on for us. Thankyou so much, it was really appreciated 👏🏻😁 Nothing
- Kerry (10/5): -
- Kyla (8/5): - Enjoy the family atmosphere and the activities for kids and the pool area.. we enjoy staying
- Jesse (10/5): - Clean park woth alot of fun activities to keep the kids busy. Nothing i didn't like, will be going back forsure
- Upinder (8/5): -
- Green (10/5): - Everything
- Vikas (10/5): - Good location
- Sabrina (4/5): -
- Dylan (8/5): - Great place to visit and good location, staff were very friendly and there was heaps for the kids to do. It was super hot the week we stayed so the staff i think were under plenty of pressure. The facilities were a little outdated and in need of some upgrades. The pool was absolutely packed with people and i can understand how dirty it was but it didn't open until 10am the next day on a 40 degree day. There should have been communication around this or an extra person working to get it ready to open at 8am when it said.
- 2 (5/5): - Too cramped. Too many people in small spaces. Not enough trees in back end of park. Dry and duty
- Nathan (8/5): -
- Roel (9/5): Definitely we’ll be back because its so much fun. There’s a caravan stores like Sugbahan filipino food and cocktail or sl - The facilities are very child friendly and the deluxe cabin that we got was so clean and the smells when we entered was so nice.Good Job for the housekeeping. I think the water in the swimming pool near the water park should be cleaned or at least treated each day.Just a suggestion :-) So that it’s nice to swim the next day.
- Colin (7/5): -
- Melissa (10/5): -
- shrek6662018 (2/5): Disgusted - Very disappointed.one staff member was rude.cleaners rude.lost so much money cause i couldnt stay due to heat.pool was dirty
- Elizabeth (5/5): Stay was great but cabin was dated compared to others - Location Tv was often not working and when it was it was poor reception, the condition of the cabin was very dated
- Tania (10/5): - Comfy cabin and beds, great water pressure, air con effective, kitchen well stocked with essentials.
Pool and water park so fun.
Communal areas spacious and clean.
Lots of seating areas and BBQs, each with utensils and cleaner.
Great to bring our dog with lots of grass patches and poop bag stations.
Staff at reception very welcoming and helpful, with essentials sold in the shop.
Highly recommend. Cabin had a few ants, but provided insect spray.
Bedrooms got a bit warm on very hot days.
Program stated coffee van daily in December, but as of 17th Dec, not there yet.
- Jasmin (8/5): Mostly good, very friendly and lots of fun! - Awesome splash park 10/10!!!, great swimming pool, food and drinks on grounds, arcade, bouncing pillow all in the same area, lots for the kids to do. Nice location not on a busy loud road or area. Great weather in summer. Had all the facilities we needed even in an economy cabin. Comfy main bed. Ample storage for a small cabin. Very friendly staff very accommodating! Economy cabin bit run down, seen 3 spiders inside, couch, walls and curtains weren't very clean. No air conditioning in bedrooms but being a small cabin the main AC did ok reaching down to the rooms. The grounds at the park aren't all bitumen, we had a rocky road to our cabin so kids unable to ride scooters etc on there. The pool grassed area is a bit rough, heavy prickles on the side we sat on. Arcades a bit rough/lack-luster but still good they have one. It was a bit expensive for an economy cabin but it was during peak season. Kids beds not made. Very loud birds from 5am onwards!!
- Meher (10/5): - Clean and well maintained facilities and plenty of activities specially for kids during school holidays. Great place to relax and enjoy.
- Samuel (10/5): Honeymoon stay - It was peaceful, many nearby locations to visit and explore, good value for money, while we didn't have the kids this stay, the next time we stay they certainly will be with us as there is lots to keep them busy. The animals in the field nearby were a nice surprise too The loud people nearby our safari tent. HOWEVER they were promptly dealt with by Aaron (what a legend)
- Czarkowska (10/5): -
- Schnaars (10/5): Eh - There was lots to do The staff. The after hours phone number didn’t work
- Sharyn (8/5): -
- Winnie (3/5): Poor maintenance - Nothing Unclean. The cabin was dusty. The blankets smell bad. The bathroom had a funny fishy smell too. The washing machine was dirty. Swimming pool no good maintenance. Overall not a good experience.
- Wayne (9/5): -
- Nolan (9/5): Outstanding stay. Recommend - Great location A+ - Safari Tent stay was a perfect way to unwind and relax. Loved the area being 18+ with private pool and bbq area. Bed was comfortable and linen lovely. Bathroom was well appointed with great toiletries to use.
Although we did not use the parks facilities, the water park area, pool and movie night area looked fun and well maintained. A great place for kids to enjoy.
The laundry area was well kept with a great choice of machines to use. The only downside to our stay was the inability to unpack from car to tent, had to walk 100m with luggage. Great idea having a no car policy in area but maybe an allowance when checking in and out would be appreciated.
- Lauren (5/5): Bouncy pillow, cinema and pool were well liked by our kids - Beds uncomfortable
Economy cabin very basic and still quite a lot of money for what you get
