- Thor (3/5): Wait until they have completed their renovations! - The staff was nice and friendly. We were allowed to check in early. Most of the property was under major renovation. There were large rolloff containers in the parking lot with lots of trash, mattresses and other stuff around and in them. We were wakened early our first morning by the sound of a large truck picking up one of those rolloff containers. The web site and some commenters had given the breakfast service high marks. It was mediocre.

- Brandi (5/5): - Comfy beds, friendly staff, and clean. This is a motel not a lodge. It was formerly a Best Western and is currently under construction for a remodel which we did not know. The only rooms done are in the back. From the street it looks abandoned. The door on the room needs replacing, as they do not shut all the way and there is a gap under them where creatures can enter your room. The breezeways are terrible.

- Brittany (4/5): We wont be back. - Is located in a good area. When we got there we noticed the beds were not a decent size they are what i consider a large twin size or small full. We traveled with a family of 4 and the beds did not accommodate. The bathroom is now sized correctly because to close the door you have to step inside the shower. When we asked if we could get a king size bed with pull out couch we was denied saying they were all booked up for the weekend. We kept track of a few king rooms cause the blinds were open and there were atleast 2 rooms that had king size beds in them that was never touched the entire weekend.

No security on property.

The breakfast was delicious, very fresh. Delicious eggs, gravy, and biscuits! Coffee was on point too. They were doing some remodeling, so our room was at the back of the property. It was okay, but our room was kinda dusty on the floor. My socks got brown from walking in the room. The bathroom is kinda small, no shelves or anything outside the shower in the bathroom to set anything on. But it was okay, no issues. This is our second time staying here. Hopefully next time they will have the waffle maker back. Breakfast was delicious!

- BB (3/5): Needs an Update - Location The room looks neglected; the carpet is dirty, the bed is uncomfortable, and the hotel is undergoing construction, giving it an old and rundown appearance that needs some TLC. However, the price is a little high, but the breakfast is good, the location is fantastic, and the staff is outstanding.

- Tony (1/5): This was the worst place i’ve stayed in awhile - staff was really friendly and helpful NO warning at ALL about the property being under construction to the extent that it was until getting to the lodge. once at the lodge plenty of warning but NOT before travel. if online would have made that clear then I would have chosen a different location. besides that the carpet was stained , cracked sink, ceiling stained , cable remote did not work or the cable didn’t . key card eventually quit working….$160 was way too much for ALL the inconveniences and condition place was in.

- Tiffany (6/5): - The rooms were very tired looking, probably hadn't been upgraded in 30 years. There was mold in the shower and the bed was worn and uncomfortable. Would definitely not stay here again.
- James (2/5): - The room was dirty, facilities filthy, fitness room a joke and the charges were ridiculous given conditions.

- Lita (5/5): - The pictures on the site were nothing like the actual room, it was so small. Definitely not worth almost $300.00. The bathroom tub has a continuous drip.

- Brenda (6/5): - While the front desk was very courteous and helpful, the property is undergoing renovations and there was no pool or outdoor area and the restaurant was closed. No sidewalks around the property so walking into town was not an option. We had no hot water when we wanted to take a shower but that was taken care of promptly. Decor was dated but as I said, there is a renovation going on.

- Robert (4/5): - Location of the property was excellent. The facility has aged poorly. The AC unit was extremely loud and difficult to sleep through when it started. The refrigerator started alarming in the middle of the night. Bedding was at best eh. Breakfast was below mediocre. Would not stay there again with all of the other options on Sugar and Beech Mountain.
- Ann (6/5): Comfortable motel - Pool was unexpectedly closed. Hotel rooms could use an upgrade. Beds are comfortable. Check-in staff were pleasant and managed an early check-in for us. When I requested a change in the tv station during breakfast from espn to a morning news show I was told that it wasn’t possible due to a “different system “ and that an sports station was acceptable to all. I was irritated by this response.most breakfast rooms show one of the major network morning news programs. It appears that the hotel has been sold recently and is no longer a best western.
