Guest Reviews
- Thomas (10/5): Wonderful nice experience! Will stay again ! - Very nice place very clean friendly staff and nice breakfast bar. Everything was really good
- bledsoe (10/5): -
- Randall (7/5): - The breakfast was good, need better pillows. Was sad the pool was closed, it was not noted online while booking.
- Joyce (4/5): - The property was under renovation the second floor was completely closed. It was dangerous going up and down stairs. The work out room and the swimming pools were closed! It was very muddy out front because of the construction work, which meant we tracked dirt into hotel and our room. We were told we could not use the work out room in Marriott because of safety reasons….
- Trinity (10/5): -
- James (4/5): Not sure we would stay again - AC didn’t work correctly. Mold spots in the shower and rust spots around the show head.
Got downstairs and breakfast tasted like it had been sitting around for a while.
- Timothy (4/5): - This location is under construction, hot water in my room was not working. Pool closed, floors unfinished, parts of hotel being fixed. They should of closed during renovations
- Danielle (6/5): Ok hotel for 1 night stay - Property location was great. Room condition was not though. Hotel was actively going through renovations, so pool was closed and construction was happening. Our bathroom floor tile was broken, which was concerning with little feet going in and out. Kitchenette area was clean but faucet leaked from the base. Carpet was in poor condition. We will not be returning to this hotel.
- Joyce (6/5): Pleasant -
- James (10/5): - I liked everything
- john (6/5): Misinformation on condition of hotel - The service was good but neither the hotel or hotels.com let us know that the gym and pool were closed and the elevator was not working due to construction. Customers should not be paying full price during renovations
- Bob (2/5): Falsely advertising of amenities!!!!! - We chose this place to stay based on the extras we expected to have I am disabled with a heart condition and poor lung function. One of the things that appealed was elevators! I had driven to North Carolina for my sons wedding and had to rent a U-Haul truck to pull the car back from Chattanooga after the motor blew on my son's car we were bringing back for him which came to 1400 dollars for 4 days rental. My wife, daughter and myself had slept in the truck the night before so the ideal of a pool, hot tub, sauna private room for myself and my wife and full bed for our daughter sounded great. Upon paying for the room we were then charged another 100 bucks for a deposit I assume which may have not been an issue but I tried to park the truck with car dolly I found the side lot was wher I was sent which the entrance was the exit so had to back truck and car out. Wife returned with the keys for the room and said elevators where being serviced have to use the stairs and all the other things we had booked for was in the process of remodel so the pool, sauna, hot tub none of these were available for use. There of course was a no refund policy so our 200 dollar room was starting to seem like we were overcharged by 250 bucks since we paid 300 for a bed alone and were stuck with it all while seeing other hotels around it cheaper and not under major construction. I would rather spent another night in my 1400 dollar rented U-Haul camper tow truck than here. Lady doing breakfast excellent!
- Jonathan (6/5): - Property was under construction. No pool, exercise room or whirlpool. I would not have booked if I was informed at time of booking. The room was fair. Stains on the towel, bathroom vent cover missing and the light in the bathroom was very low wattage. The staff where wonderful, very helpful and courteous. Breakfast was good.
- designergal01 (2/5): DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!!! DISGUSTING, DIRTY, HORRIBLE PLACE! - DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!!! I am far from a princess so I can understand that hotels need repairs and wear out from use but this place is beyond disgusting. No working elevator is the least of your problems if you stay here (do not stay here!!!!). We were given a dog room (one you can bring your dog into,,,,,,,not even fit for a dog!) with the most used, DIRTY, worn out amenities we have ever seen. Don't even get me started on the so called breakfast! We had just driven 13 hours and just needed to sleep, shower and recharge for the next 12 hours of driving the next day. This hotel really needs to be torn apart down to the studs and redone. Even if that were done it would not help because the staff do not know how to clean and up keep the hotel. The pictures I will post speak for them selves. I hope this review will help others to save their money and sanity. We would have been better off sleeping in our vehicle and stopping to shower at a truck stop. YES, it is that bad, don't do it!
- Jamie (5/5): The first time I’ve ever had a poor experience at a Marriott property. - The staff was very kind, none of the disappointment with the facility is in any way a reflection on them. The hotel was under construction, there was no available elevator, the pool was drained, one of the entrances was blocked by construction equipment. Short staff resulted in not having our room cleaned. Had I known I would be staying in a construction zone I would not have booked them. Tons of options in that area so I will never stay there again.
- Lawrence (1/5): We were very disappointed in our stay at the Residence Inn in Paducah. - The evening shift folks at the front desk were very nice, and they clearly felt bad for us. The room was well laid out. The day staff gave away our room. When we got there, they made keys for us, but when we opened the door, there was an open suitcase. They had another room on the second floor, but the elevator didn't work. So, we sat in the lobby while they cleaned another 1st floor room. However, we found popcorn and pepperoni all through the room.
- Jeremiah (10/5): Exceptional - Everything
- Gerry (7/5): Good -
- Bonnita (9/5): Superb -
- Jo (7/5): Good - Convenient to the main highway and straight shot into Paducah’s Quilt Show area. The elevator & pool were not functioning.
- Cheryl (4/5): Disappointing -
- Grass (5/5): Would probably go back if the facilities had been nicer. - I had a pleasant interactions by phone with a young man named Lucas. He helped straighten out some problems with my reservation and helped with me not get over charged. He also helped get me get into a room with an early check in. Lucas defiantly went above and beyond. We also had help from the maintenance man when our TV didn't work. I didn't catch his name but saw him several times during our stay working on different projects and he was very friendly on each interaction. I had some issues leaving on time and was going to make my check in date. I called the night before and the young lady spoke with couldn't find my reservation by name or reservation number and then pretty much didn't give any suggestion on how she could help figure it out. Not sure what her name was but she didn't seem like she cared about helping me at all. Also was very surprised when we arrived to find out the pool and elevator were out of service due to upcoming renovations. This wasn't a discounted rate and I felt like it should have been. Rooms were clean but worn down and the bed was so worn down it sagged down in the middle. Not what I am used to from a Marriott chain Hotel.
- Julie (8/5): - Enjoyed our stay at the Residence Inn in Paducah. The room was clean and well proportioned. The breakfast bar was yummy and there was plenty of food. The mattress could use an upgrade, but it was manageable. We will stay here again. Hope the pool and elevator is fixed for our next visit.
- Rhonda (4/5): - While it is convenient, the property is dated. Elevator didn't work, pool/spa closed, stains on carpet, sticky kitchen floor, electrical outlet in kitchen not working, con-caved couch, dark bath/shower area.
Reception & food area clean, breakfast had variety.
- barkus1968 (4/5): A Long List of Problems - There is much more wrong than right with this location.
1. The elevator is out of order and apparently it’s been out a while. They have a laminated sign on it.
2. The orange juice dispenser is out of order - sorry.
3. The showers are rusty and not in good condition. We had two, and I heard a man at the check out counter discuss his faulty shower. He got Bonvoy credit, I didn’t bother.
4. The pool was completely drained - sorry about the inconvenience.
5. The couch was covered in milk stains. I hope it was milk.
6. The black out curtains were attacked by wolverine.
7. The breakfast bar was weak. The coffee and tea support was bad.
The front desk was very friendly.
This is a hard pass for future visits.
Plus we only get 1/2 our Bonvoy points for suffering through a terrible Residence Inn stay.
- Christine (7/5): Good - Front desk was very helpful. The towels were very worn, rough. Coffee in room was pretty bad. Elevator did not work.
- Chester (10/5): - Pool, elevator, dishwasher not working. But this was published.. I just missed it.
- John (6/5): - The hotel did not have any hot water. The utility shut the gas off in the afternoon but the hotel didn't tell us when we checked in.
- raquij (2/5): DO NOT BOOK HERE!!! - I arrived here with my company members while on tour with The Kennedy Center. The day before we arrived, we checked the reviews and was a bit concerned but were hoping for the best. My stage manager saw that people were saying the elevator didn't work so she called ahead and it was confirmed that the elevator was indeed still broken. That was an inconvenience but a minor one so we checked in. We arrived and they had a case of bottled water for us which I thought was nice. We were accommodated by being placed on the 1st and 2nd floors only with the gentleman at the front desk having to help lug our heavy luggage up the stairs (I felt bad that they even had to do that). I was placed on the first floor. Walking in the hallway on the first floor there was a heavy smell similar to what you would smell from exterminator’s spray but I just ignored that. Upon arriving at my room, I immediately went to check for hot water in the shower since I saw a number of reviews that mentioned not having hot water. When I walked into the bathroom there was a plastic shower liner that was crumbly, torn, and molded/mildewed. I was willing to just ask for a new curtain but I ran the shower for 10min and the water never got above barely luke warm. I went to the front desk and explained to the gentleman and the manager, Melanie Myers and kindly asked for another room with a clean shower curtain and hot water. They said they would have to put me on the 3rd floor and I said that was ok as long as I had hot water and a new liner. They gave me keys to check the room before I moved my things. I went to that room and the shower curtain was also mildewed but the hot water worked so I was going to just take it. I took a further look around the room and saw that the couch had a burn mark. The room did not smell like smoke but in front of the couch I stepped on what I thought was lint only to find out it was a small pile of ash so the carpet had obviously not been cleaned (not to mention the plethora of stains on the old carpet). I was willing to just deal with it because I didn’t want to risk not having hot water. I returned to the desk to let them know about the burn in the couch and the ash just to say that I didn’t want to be held responsible but I wasn’t making a big deal. I just again asked for a new shower liner. They apologized and again offered me a new room so reluctantly I went up with the gentleman to check the room next door. This room smelled strongly of movie popcorn butter somehow. Whatever the scent was, it was making me nauseous. The shower curtain was actually clean and the hot water worked but I couldn’t take the smell so I asked to keep the 2nd room and just have the shower liner replaced because at least there was no smell. I just wanted them to be aware that I didn’t damage the couch. The gentleman went to look for a clean shower liner but couldn’t find one so he took the one from next door and put that up. I tried to settle in but kept noticing things wrong as the evening went on. The rooms were not very clean at all. My other company members were reporting issues of finding dirty dishes piled in the dishwasher that was broken and I had dirty dishes in my cabinets. I went to cook and like some of my other cast mates, discovered there were only pots with no saute/frying pans and the pots we had were dirty with burned residue inside. I asked for a pan which the gentleman did bring but my front burner didn’t work. I called down to the desk to make them aware and he said that he would send maintenance the next day. I said ok. I also noticed that there was no dish sponge provided and the dish soap was already half empty. Usually new items are provided when the rooms are reset but that clearly didn’t happen here. I did not however call down to report that or ask for anything additional as it was late and I was tired. What was EXTREMELY worrisome to me however is the behavior of the manager Malanie Myers. At about 9:30pm, I was having a phone conversation in my room with our company manager to explain issues with this hotel and a prior Marriott brand hotel that we had to switch from. I was letting her know that they needed to check the reviews for our upcoming hotels to avoid any further places that obviously had issues. This was a private conversation in my room on the 3rd floor. Melanie Myers called my stage manager's room to say that she had overheard my conversation and if I couldn’t be happy with everything they were doing to accommodate me then my company would need to find me somewhere else to stay. I was not making a complaint to the front desk or a call to them. I was having a private conversation IN MY ROOM. Why would she be on the 3rd floor listening to a conversation I am having privately?! That is completely unprofessional not to mention made me feel extremely unsafe. She was obviously only pretending to be accommodating. Melanie was also sure to keep mentioning that the hotel was up for 5 million dollars in renovations as if that was helpful for people like us who were staying there CURRENTLY. The elevator had a sign on it saying “temporarily out of service” but there were reviews from summer of last year that spoke about the broken elevators. She said that they needed a whole elevator shaft replacement or something to that effect. Also, with the pool and the hot tub we were told that they weren’t in service but upon arrival saw they were completely drained as if waiting for renovations. This was also an issue that showed up in the reviews for months so why would things like this not be listed as a notice on the site if they are ongoing issues? Why aren’t people notified upon booking so that they can have the ability to choose another option? I am extremely shocked with the Marriott brand as I have always loved the Residence Inns however this by far was my worst experience and that had a lot to do with management. This hotel should not be open for operation in the condition that it is in. It is extremely poorly kept, poorly cleaned, and poorly managed.
- Bruce (6/5): If you like steps........No elevator - Disapointing for a Marriott.
Lack of wayer pressure and hot water, rocking tiles in the bathroom, no elevator, no pool.
Changed rooms, eventually got hot water, neither TV remote worked.
Barely acceptable breakfast.
- Stephen (6/5): - Needs new carpet, paint and bathroom tub
- Jatavia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jon (4/5): - No working elevator, no hot water, bathroom sink was stopped up, bathtub dripped all night, coffee wasn’t hot at breakfast, staff at counter both check in and checkout pretty much non existent.
- K5511UHkarenw (4/5): Try someplace else… - The property is convenient to the Interstate so we thought it would be a good stop. I reserved a king room online. The parking lot was so dark that we parked next door at an adjacent hotels lot because we thought our vehicle would be safer in the better light. The front desk clerk was pleasant and quick to check me in. It wasn’t until I was checked in that I was informed that the elevator was broken. We lugged all our belongings up the stairs to our room. Inside we found dirty towels and an unmade bed! Back at the front desk the agent was apologetic and gave me an “upgrade”.
The second room had a weird odor and a television that didn’t work. I called the front desk to ask for the TV to be fixed. We returned from dinner to a TV that still didn’t work. Very frustrating.
- ashnicmc (2/5): Unbelievably bad. - I cannot believe that Marriott allows this property to be in such disrepair.
1. The elevator was broken throughout my stay, so I had to lug my suitcases up and down the stairs as all the rooms on the bottom floor were taken. No offer of a discount, points, help with bags, etc. upon checking in.
2. No hot water - literally none. If you let the water run for 10-15 minutes the shower will be lukewarm at best. I had to wash my face in the kitchen sink because the water in the bathroom sink never got above icy cold. I stayed at this property several months ago with a similar issue and understood that it was a temporary issue with the water on that one floor that was being fixed. Apparently, that was untrue. Also, the shower curtain is shorter than the shower curtain rod, so even if you do manage to get lukewarm water, it’s still a cold shower because you basically have 1/4 of the shower open to the air.
3. Keys become deactivated on a whim. While trying to enter the side entrance to lug all my belongings up the stairs, my key became deactivated and I had to go to the front desk to get a new key. This happened twice during my two night stay.
4. Unclean - the bottom of the shower curtain was covered in some kind of stain, so I didn’t even feel comfortable showering with the curtain inside the tub area, so water of course got everywhere.
I am shocked that Marriott would allow one of its properties to remain in this condition. The whole thing should be closed and renovated.
- Timothy (4/5): - Arrived at hotel, checked in to front desk. Then I found out that there elevator was out of service. It would have been nice for a phone call or email letting me know this issue. Then we get into the room to find out that the pull out sofa was boarded up, no phones in the room, so I had to walk back downstairs to let the know that, so the give me a roll away in place of it but still wasn’t accommodating. The floors were extremely thin, you could hear the people above us walking and stomping. Will not stay there again.
- Athena (10/5): - Quick stop to sleep while traveling from Chattanooga to the Twin Cities. Friendly staff and delicious breakfast. Will stay again.
- A7619XPjohng (8/5): Best employees ever! - You will not find better employees at any other hotel! Friendly and very helpful! The hotel needs some updating, though. Have stayed here before and will stay here again! Especially like having a full kitchen. Very clean room and comfy bed.
- Daniel (10/5): Worth the money - A great compliment on our much needed break
- kaylamT425BV (6/5): Not terrible - This wasn't an awful hotel but they could make some improvements. Our dishwasher was full of food and i had to pick glass out of it so someone clearly failed to check that and the kitchen sink hot water worked intermittently. The couches were dirty as were some of the linens. They had some roofers there who weren't following proper safety protocol, they should have blocked off any areas they were working because they were just throwing stuff off the roof onto the ground right where one of the entrance / exits were on the side of the building. We had no idea they were up there (on that side) until stuff started falling down. We'd likely stay again provided they improve housekeeping. The staff, especially maintenance, were all extremely friendly and helpful.
- Michael (10/5): - It was fine.
- LarryS27822 (4/5): Not a Business Travel hotel for me. - Not a recommended first stop if traveling for Business in the area as there are better hotels at the same price. Hotel is very much in need of a renovation. Room condition was generally clean and fair. Mattress is very old and saggy in the middle which made for an uncomfortable night's sleep. Toilet tank valve leaked, and the water cycled every 10-15 minutes all night. Local cable channels on TV did not work. Reported to the front desk and by the time I left the next morning, it was still not working. Fitness Center need to be updated. Missing 50% of the free-weights.
- Cordovalady1 (10/5): Pleasant stay in Paducah - Booked an impromptu night at the Paducah Residence Inn during a road trip via my iPhone Marriott Bonvoy app. Was able to check in within an hour from making reservation. The hotel was conveniently located near the interstate and several fast food and eat-in restaurants were nearby. The lobby area was clean and nicely decorated. Upon arrival we were informed of breakfast time for following day. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We only used the kitchen for making coffee and heating a leftover meal. The only disappointment was one tiny bar of soap left at the bathroom sink that we had to use for hand washing as well as our showers. Thankfully we were only staying overnight. Breakfast the following morning was great! The attendant brought out fresh food upon our arrival: eggs, bacon, sausage and waffles. There was an ample supply of fresh fruit and muffins as well as juice and coffee.
- Bobbie (10/5): It was very nice - Very clean
- Angela (2/5): - Compaired to other Residence Inn this is by far the worst one I've been to. Very outdated, room amenities unavailable as well as other hotel amenities were unavailable and there was no accommodations or discounts offered for the inconvenience.
- lindakerr8 (8/5): Great experience - From our arrival to the end of our stay; an excellent stay! Lona remembered me from when I made the reservation and every request was spot on. That didn’t end there housekeeping had our room tv on and a light on in our room…. Nice touch. Room was clean, comfortable; bed comfortable and towels extra fluffy. Hot tub, pool and gym were great; breakfast standard Marriott fare. Breakfast attendant was super sweet; hotel needs a refresh, but don’t let that determine yr stay. Employees can make or break yr business. No issues with our Service Dog…received senior discount on room…..Wish Marriott would offer Military Discounts to Military Retirees!!!!!
- Chris (10/5): - Nice modern hotel. Clean and quiet.
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Lauren (10/5): - We stayed in a one bedroom suite and it was awesome for parents kids. Spacious and have everything you need.
- Michael (10/5): - Enjoyable one bedroom suite. Nice kitchen. Slightly warn, but clean and all we needed.
- KASEY (10/5): - Limited breakfast options compared to similar hotels.
- Anonymous (10/5): we relaxed and enjoyed our stay and will be back sooner than later - it was so clean and it was so pretty and I love the colors that are used nothing
- LuEllen (6/5): - The staff was all new, cleaning staff that was there did a bang-up job at cleaning up the rooms but they are extremely understaffed and we didn't get one room until 5 pm.
- Guide180293 (2/5): Worst stay ever - NO HOT WATER. Went to Paducah for the big quilt show. This place gave me a room with the knowledge that they were having hot water issues on the 3rd floor. After I notified the front desk they sent a maintenance man to investigate I was told that they would have to shut off all the water to that floor to fix it which they decided not to do. They had completely booked this hotel and I was told there was nothing they could do. The manager was unapologetic. I called the desk the next morning and was told that the room right next door was available. That shower had luke warm water. Shower was rusty and moldy.
- Amy (8/5): Very good -
- Kathleen (8/5): Nice hotel, I would stay again. - The location was very convenient to shopping and restaurants. It was just off the interstate. The hotel itself was fine. All of the hotels had pushed up their rates by 3X because of the quilt show in town. I can understand raising the rates a small percentage, to account for cleaning and breakfast items, etc, but this is just pure greed. Too bad everyone is in the same boat.
- Carol (10/5): - Great breakfast
- Michael (8/5): Decent for a quick night stay - Hotel is ready for a renovation, but the room was large and had everything we needed. Biggest complaint was the shower - it was dark, needed new hardware and took a very long time for hot water.
- Jeremy (2/5): - There was NO HOT WATER AT ALL IN THE EVENING WHEN CHECKED INN AND IN MORNING. SAID THEY JUST HAD WORK DONE..... CARPETS DIRTY AND STAINED.
KEY CARDS TURNED OFF AT 9 AM.
PRICE WAS EXPENSIVE TOO!
- Heramb (3/5): Poor -
- Jennifer (4/5): Pool and water issues - We had a reservation and check in was fine. Room was clean. On line when I booked the room there was no mention that the pool or that the hot tub was not working.
When we checked in there was no mention of this OR that there was no hot water.
The issue with the pool and hot tub was disappointing but was going to talk with management the next morning.
The next morning getting ready for a shower and the water was Luke warm at best.
Got ready and when we checked out my husband stopped by the desk to talk with them as this was very upsetting. We were unable to take showers because of the cold water.
Talking with the clerk at the desk she stated “yes we know it’s an issue and are waiting for a part. They should have told you when you checked in.”
Nope, it was not mentioned and would not have stayed. Already aggravated about the pool and hot tub but this area is so saturated with hotels we would have stayed at another one.
- Veronica (10/5): - Great stay! Clean property and friendly staff.
- Jennifer (6/5): Not the room i booked - I booked a suite but ended up with king bed.
Disappionted but over head the room was locked and they had not got in it to clean.
Management should have blocked the room and gave me the suite. If room was blocked then system wouldnt have gave me a room that wasnt able to book. All suites were booked by time i got there. Only reason i went with hotel was for the suite with the fireplace.
Although the adult kids like playing with the door bell on the handicapped room.
- Roy (5/5): Passable -
- jchsbiologyteacher (8/5): Good but not great - I loved how close our hotel was to the winery! The check in attendant, Seth, was so nice. I forgot toiletries so he gave us a bag of extras. I requested a low floor on the app and we got a first floor room. That was great.
However we requested an early check in but the room wasn’t ready. I understand that the two bedroom suites were in use and housekeeping doesn’t come in until 10am so I suggest that the app let you know that early check in isn’t available when the rooms are occupied. The hallway going to our room was gross. Most of the doors needed a good painting or wipe down with a cleaner.
Once we got in the room 124, the carpet was extremely dirty like it needed a good shampooing. I forgot my slippers at home so I had to keep my shoes on the whole time.
All in all, I usually pick residence inns for how clean they usually are. This one needed some deep cleaning maintenance beyond simple vacuuming and dusting.
- Robert (4/5): Disappointing hotel. - This hotel had great ratings, but it was the dirtiest hotel I’ve been to. Stains all over the carpet, rusty bathtub, filthy burner trays on stove, doors to rooms full of scratches/marks, what appeared to be blood stain on top sheet of bed.
Very disappointing!
- Elizabeth (10/5): Have stayed at this location multiple time when driving up north to visit family. Excellent overnight location with rest - love the larger rooms with kitchen and living space
- LOUISEWMonument (4/5): Not nearly up to Marriott standards - We spend one night in this Residence Inn - the only good thing I can say about it was the breakfast. Nothing else was right.
The towels were paper thin and small. Toilet paper and paper towels also really thin and one would need many of them for any task. The kitchenette counter had a layer of salt or sugar on it - so it hadn't been cleaned before we arrived. The rug had stains on it. The worst part of it was that the kitchen basket was under the sink - when I opened the cabinet under the sink to find the basket - there was a truly foul smell coming from under there.......like a dead animal. I quickly closed it but the smell lingered. Also, the bathroom sink is located in the bedroom so if your traveling companion is sleeping, you can't use the sink or risk waking him/her up. Lastly, the old bathroom had one light switch that when turned on also turned on a very loud exhaust fan - enough to wake anyone up in the middle of the night if the other guest has to use the bathroom. We were put in a disabled room although we didn't ask for one.
All in all, this was a major disappointment - poor sleep - would never stay at this old and tired hotel again. Marriott should just tear it down and rebuild.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Won’t start again - Not a fan. Second time staying here. The pool wasn’t open. 5 mins from arrival I get a call saying they overbooked and that they could offer me another room somewhere at another hotel. I refused. They eventually gave us the room I originally booked several months ahead and the room was missing a lot. No coffee maker, broken dishes, no soap, no toilet paper except for the one on the roll that was almost gone, so much other stuff. The front desk and dining staff were very nice but the hotel is starting to become run down and outdated. I’ll stay elsewhere in the future when I travel through Paducah.
- 487richarda (8/5): A pleasant Stay - I was overnighting here before heading over to Illinois in the morning, and found this hotel a very pleasant place to stay. The welcome at reception was friendly and a nice surprise to be invited to free canapes and "happy hour" priced alcohol - to meet the staff and other guests. The hotel is situated amongst a lot of other hotels so there is some stiff competition in the area. It is only a short drive to many nearby restaurants. The ground floor room was clean and tidy and the surrounding gardens in lovely condition. There is plenty of parking. The BBQ area was Ok but the actual BBQ could do with a service as control knobs were missing and it was a little dirty. Hard to fault the hotel and staff were very friendly. Breakfast was adequate and check out efficient. Although a little expensive I would stay here again.
- Jonathan (6/5): - No working pool, BBQ grill wasn’t operational. Room wasn’t cleaned thoroughly (wet towel left in the bathroom and last guest’s dirty watch was left in the dresser)
Coffee maker had the wrong coffee pot, which caused coffee to overflow from the machine. And the showers hot and cold water cover was installed upside down (easily fixed with a butter knife)
Staff was attempting to be helpful, wish a discount would’ve been added for the troubles.
- Kellie (6/5): Mediocre - disappointed given the nightly rate - This was a highly rated hotel in Paducah. I deliberately chose one of the more expensive hotels available because comfort and cleanliness are important to us on an overnight stay. The front desk clerk who checked us in was friendly and helpful. I had regrets though, as soon as I entered our room. There was a putrid smell in the room, tempered with some sort of sweet smell, like they couldn't get rid of it, so they tried to mask it. But ugh, it didn't work. The mattress on the bed was cheap and very uncomfortable. I woke up with back and hip pain from it (yes, I'm a bit older so such things affect me more). Otherwise I suppose the room was acceptable. The included breakfast the next morning was pretty poor. Even the make your own waffle was rubbery. They ran out of plates so my husband and I had to share a plate. The front desk clerk was also manning the breakfast room and clearly was spread too thin. We really wished we had just gone to a nearby restaurant. Given the price for the area and the average rating of 9/10, we expected more. The hotel isn't terrible, but it's definitely not up to standard for the nightly price, and not worthy of a rating that high.
- TnRiverTraveller (4/5): Very disappointing stay - This used to be my favorite hotel in Paducah but not anymore. Definitely not the quality level I would expect from a Marriott. Room smelled musty. The hotel was nowhere near full so why would I get a room with both windows facing the wall of the other section of the hotel? The upside was the beds were clean and the staff was friendly.
- CindyMNTraveler (6/5): Adequate but overpriced - Adequate amenities for an overnight stay with bikes. Appreciate the staff accommodating our request for first floor room near the entry so we could bring our bikes in easily. Could hear every footstep on floor above. Not super clean bathroom but the linens were fresh. Using the phone as tV remote is a novel innovation but it didn’t work great. No newspapers in the morning, the key card locks very sensitive to operate and the breakfast was very mediocre for the price. Not really a $189 caliber stay.
- victorias390 (8/5): Great hotel for travelers - Cheryl at the The front dest was super professional and welcoming! We had a good room with comfortable bed and good lighting. We are passing through again on our way home and will stay here again. Recommended
- Tre Shaun (2/5): - Lady’s at front desk were rude didn’t let me stay because I was a “Local” horrible service
- peonyrose (10/5): Friendly Hotel - Three friends stayed here to tour the Quilt Museum..both were excellent
We made friends with a front desk lady named Karen and also Laurie in the food area..Laurie was visiting with patrons and made us feel like family..our room was clean and welcoming
- Avalanche50 (10/5): Everyone is happy here - Dogs welcome, a social hour Mon-Weds, wonderful help working the desk and food service and well-kept grounds.
This is a place to stop for a few days when you find yourself in this excellent town. The establishment is a standard Residence Inn, several buildings connected to a main area, all rooms clean and well maintained. The staff, though, is so excellent that you feel like it's a b & b.
There will be hiccups, as this is Marriott; the pool was under renovation when I stayed here in August and closed when I stayed in December.
But the Christmas tree is up and a front room off of the lobby has puzzles, table games and books to enjoy. Two stays and counting - I’ll be back.
- 798gaylet (8/5): Always a Pleasant Stay - We stay here almost every time we head south..we have made friends with Laurie, the "food " lady..she serves the hot evening meal three times a week and a hot breakfast every morning..she is just a delight..
The rooms are clean, bright and large..
This hotel is close to any great restaurant you would want..
- Lisa (10/5): Great. - I was pleasantly surprised about this hotel, I loved the comfort of the suite, yhe amenities that came with the room. Breakfast was delicious and the staff very friendly and accommodating. Only issue we had, pool was not usable due to maintenance.
- Cindy (4/5): Disappointing stay!!! - Very disappointed!!! I booked a room bc you said you had a pool and hot tub, but the pool or hot tub were not opened!! Smelled like mildew on the first floor and the lobby was very dark and not inviting For a 190.00 a nite, excepted a little more!!!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - First night people above us with small children, very loud stomping, etc. Next day when we told front desk they moved us to another room on the top floor for remainder of our stay. Noise problem fixed. Overall good experience.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Everything was really great except when checking in, we found out that the pool was closed for maintenance and it was one of the main reasons that we chose to stay here.... so that was very disappointing. Tbis wasnt posted anywhere on the site when booking our stay. Had it of been, we would have stayed elsewhere.
- Janina (8/5): Overnight stay - The room was big and spacious. The pool was closed, sauna closed!! There was a lump in the bed mattress needed to be replaced badly lol. I would give it another try when the amenities you pay for work! This room was 170.00 a night
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful, cool room after a long hot day of driving. Front desk personnel very professional and helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - All staff was very friendly but the morning breakfast lady was the best. She was super attentive to all the guests.
- Heather (2/5): Will never stay here again. - Although we arrived around 6 or 7pm, our room was not ready. The hallways smelled weird. Our toilet overflowed, and it took 30 minutes to get a plunger and towels. The toilet then ran ALL night.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The rooms were spacious and it was a true suite! This allowed us to let our daughter take a nap while we relaxed and watched TV. The only bad part about the room was the fact that the room above ours must have been a laundry room or workers break room because it was noisy all night.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very clean, room was excellent and staff was as very helpful
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Noice neighbor, water running on & off all night, cooling unit shook the bed.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very nice room , a mini suite well appointed and spacious with large sitting area and kitchenette . Great breakfast with personalized service . Only problem very loud AC unit and thin walls might be difficult for some . Would definitely stay there or other similar hotel in chain again
- Janice (8/5): Fine hotel - When I first arrived, it was very slow to check in. They said pick up phone and dial zero, which I did (FOUR times). Then I just looked up the direct number and called, and the young, blonde man came running in from outside. I honestly think he may have been a smoker who took frequent breaks out there. My friends who stayed there also said the same thing. Room was neat and clean, no coffee. Asked for some after finding the same young man, and honestly, it was horrible coffee. The next night an older man even gave me some ground coffee from the inside of the kitchen. Much better.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Carpet was dirty, mattress was old and uncomfortable.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Spacious and clean room. A bit disappointed room did not have a coffee maker.
Nice touch in the make to order breakfast
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very comfortable and very clean. Free dinner too! Charged a lot for our dog but was thankful they allowed her. Would definitely stay again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I was impressed their cleanliness and friendliness.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The room was listed as nonsmoking in the reservation, but smelled like a smoking room. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! I will definitely NOT be staying at this location again!!!!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Parking was convenient, however the bedding was stained and dirty and impacted my ability to sleep
- Lori (10/5): Quiet and comfortable - Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Loved the shower and bed was very comfortable.
- Kevin (8/5): - Traveling during covid and having our own kitchen was great.
