• Globetrotter118 (10/5): Superb rooms - The room I had was superb. So cozy, comfortable and practical, with hooks, rackings, shelves. Plenty of space to put your things. Everything was spotlessly clean. The attached bathroom had a hot shower. Everything you need was supplied. The bed was very comfortable and not hard. Comfortable duvet and pillows too. I also liked the downstairs terrace restaurant, which unfortunately closes very early, but my room had a fridge which became very useful as it was a bit of a walk to 7 eleven. Excellent WiFi which works everywhere if you just log in to the correct access point, depending on where you are. There is also some tables out on the side (DSA),where you can sit when the restaurant is closed. The bus from Phuket dropped me right outside the hotel. They can also book tours for you here at good prices. It was nothing I didn't like, but I think the restaurant would benefit from replacing the old and very worn menu cards with new ones.

• Lakshman (8/5): - The owner was very accommodative. Late check-in happened with so much ease, it has a good restaurant attached to the property, they have bike rentals, all is good.

Ich würde sagen es war sogar das bequemste Bett der letzten 2 Monate... Die Lage ist super. Strand ganz einfach fußläufig zu erreichen (auch wenn man durch eine Hotelanlage gehen muss). Geschäfte, seven-eleven, McDonalds, etc alles um die Ecke. Zum Nightmarket kann man sich mit dem Taxi con Seabox fahren lassen. Wir haben zu zweit 200 THB bezahlt. Ging einfach und schnell. Wäsche haben wir auch dort waschen lassen. War auch super! Ich kann Seabox nur empfehlen. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist super Wir waren 5 Nächte dort und es gab keinen Zimmerservice. Uns hat es nicht gestört und wenn wir gefragt hätten, hätten sie das Zimmer auch bestimmt gereinigt...

• Vural (7/5): Einmal ok… - Alles war sauber. Beton boden auch sauber. Ich hatte ein Zimmer direkt an der Hauptstraße, und direkt vor meinem Fenster waren die Klimageräte installiert. Eines dieser Geräte war defekt, sodass es jedes Mal, wenn der Nachbar es einschaltete, wie eine Betonschlagmaschine klang. Das Zimmer und die Betten waren zwar sauber, allerdings war die Matratze so unbequem und billig aus einfachen Federn, dass ich jeden Morgen mit Schmerzen am ganzen Körper aufwachte.

If I ask twice which transport company is handling the transport, and they don't tell me, and then I explicitly ask if it's Tiger Tours, I expect an honest answer. I was told no, but then it turned out to be exactly that transport company, and the trip was terrible. Not recommended.

Good location, 5 min to the beach, 10 min to town center and bus stop. Everything you could ask for :) The entrance is a bit messy. The room could be a bit bigger. But again, great value for what is offered.

• Julian (4/5): Unfriendly staff, small rooms, no longer than one night - AC was working well Netflix on the TV Staff was not friendly, we felt like a burden to them. Asking for laundry or anything else seemed always to be a problem Receptionist was sleeping when we arrived at around 5pm, we didn't wake her up and waited until she woke up after around 15 minutes, we felt like we disturbed her. I think this place is supposed to be a restaurant and then they decided to open a hostel without knowing there is a certain kind of friendliness and service involved. The room has no windows, it's quite dark and the air ventilation system doesn't really affect the air quality which was quite bad. There is not much space in the room for backpacks or your personal belongings. I didn't get the necessity of the chair, it just takes away more space and I can't think of any situation I would like to sit on a chair in such a small room. Beds were not very comfortable. You can hear everything from outside and the surrounding rooms in your room We woke up several times in the middle of the night, at around 3am, because people came home late and started talking in the rooms. Not their fault, but I think it's worth knowing. WiFi was okay but not very good Most of the staff around doesn't speak much English, which makes it even more difficult to communicate. It's okay for one night but I would not recommend staying there longer
• John (1/5): I think people from Booking.com need to go and visit this place definitely wouldn’t need out the kitchen no way. - No glass mirror in the bathroom dirty area in shower area mould no tiles on the floor in the main bedroom or carpets or mats windows didn’t work correctly. The walls are just better. Sand Cement polished dust on the doors as you come in on the back of the door on the ledges the shower door didn’t close had a major gap at the top no safe no tea or coffee Metal re bars for hanging your clothes only free hangers generally just the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in my life and I’m 68 years old shocked Too many people smoking weed noise of a night time from other rooms main door to bedroom from hallway didn’t close properly gaps all the way round it big bowl of water on in the hallway outside the room dripping all night empty when you go into your room of an evening full up in the morning water dripping all the time, holes in the bedsheets holes in the towels I could go on forever.

• Kendra (5/5): Cheap and Close to Beach - Place was only a few minutes walk to beach and restaurants. Free filtered water available in restaurant. Wifi was ok. Hot water in shower. Host arranged transport from airport and to my next town. I was disappointed the room did not have a window. Host said he could not change rooms that night but could the next day. I declined as didn't want hassle of moving rooms. Cleaning staff started entering my room without knocking which was annoying. On checkout, staff had difficulty understanding that I wanted someone to bring my heavy duffle bag down from second floor. Sometimes there was no staff available downstairs. A female from next door would try to assist but wasn't very helpful. The other problems were due to other guests. One guest was frequently smoking at a table by the entryway so that I had to inhale his toxic fumes when walking in and out. Males in room opposite mine had their door open and the TV on extremely loudly. I informed the host and he said he would talk to them.

• Brandon (9/5): Superb - This is a great place to stay - however when I have read the reviews, book the king room like we did. The shared dormitories don't seem to be highly recommended. The room is spacious and the bed is comfy. 100% recommend if you can sleep through light traffic noise You are close to the beach but if you are wanting to get there you will have to walk through a resort or another 10 minutes walk to the beach access. On a night if you are on the right side of the hallway, you are exposed to the main road through khao lak which can get busy and noisy at times.

Luckily was staying with my friend otherwise would’ve felt lonely. Walls were pretty thin and could hear people in their room closing doors but wasn’t a huge problem as was quiet when we stayed

• Chris (9/5): Seabox is a clean and easy place for a good night's sleep but not quite as good value as others. - Long the main road, but at the south edge of town, the Seabox is not quite as convenient as some other options. But it was clean, the room freshly painted. Everything worked. I slept very well. No window, service was friendly but seemed challenged.

• Tessa (7/5): So so - The bed was comfortable. Shower was good. Location is ok, close to the beach. Their reception/restaurant was the biggest mess I've ever seen in a ho(s)tel. Trash and stuff everywhere. Room was very small for 2 people. It's not a social hostel. Staff was friendly but couldn't help with simple questions. Khao Lak in general is not my kind of place. Mostly older people that stay in big resorts.

No hot water in shower in the morning. Staff did not clean my room or empty bins during 4 night stay. Had to ask for water every day and ask for toilet roll. One light not working over bed, continual leak in bathroom sink. Drip bucket outside room over-flowing on last day and leaking into my room. No outside space except an old table in car park.
