• Tim (10/5): Ein unvergesslicher Urlaub in einem atemberaubenden Hotel. - Our stay at Ao Cho Grandview Hideaway Resort on Koh Samet was excellent from start to finish and exceeded our expectations in many ways. We booked a Deluxe Room including breakfast and were very satisfied. The breakfast is varied and offers a good mix of Thai and European options. Of course, it’s not identical to a typical European breakfast – but that’s part of the charm when traveling in Asia. There’s something for everyone, and it feels authentic. One of the absolute highlights is the beautiful white private beach. The resort is located away from the party areas, making it perfect for anyone looking for peace and relaxation. At the same time, everything is convenient: a scooter rental is just a few meters away, and there is also a taxi stand nearby. The staff is exceptionally friendly, attentive, and helpful. Whatever you need, a quick request or phone call is enough, and it will be taken care of immediately. You really feel well looked after. The food at the resort’s restaurant is also very good. They offer a wide selection including fresh seafood, traditional Thai dishes, as well as pizza and burgers. Prices are fair and comparable to the rest of the island. There is also a nice evening program with fire shows, movie nights, and daily live music. A special highlight was the BBQ on the beach organized by the resort on our last evening – a truly memorable experience in a stunning setting. Our bungalow was well equipped with everything we needed: air conditioning, fridge, TV, kettle, mosquito net, and more. Conclusion: A fantastic resort that we can fully recommend. If we return to Koh Samet, this will definitely be our first choice again.

Unbedingt den Speed Boat Service buchen, dieser ist mit Vollservice. Das Frühstück entsprach in keinerlei Hinsicht dem Standard, Kaffee und Tee lauwarm, Baguette hart, wenig Früchte und kein Aufschnitt, Wartezeit für Eier viel zu lang und der Reinigungsdienst sollte auch unter dem Sofa oder Betten kehren.

Ab den frühen Morgenstunden beginnt es in der Unterkunft zu stinken. Aus der Toilete steigen Dämpfe aus der Kanalisation auf. Duschen am morgen nicht möglich da es extrem nach Urin richt. Wie Katzenpisse nur konzentriert. Wir haben nichts gesagt. Bring sowieso nicht. Wenn man so was nicht selber merkt...ohne Worte...

• James (9/5): Perfect, relaxed island resort, we will return one day - Our beach view chalet was clean, very modern with a breathe taking view over the bay..The cleaning staff were very polite and efficient. All the waiting staff were attentive and happy in their work. Special thanks to our waiter Tim. We swapped names with him on our first afternoon and he addressed us as Miss Shirley and Mr Jim whenever he saw us. His friendly nature made us feel at home. We enjoyed our stay so much that we extended our holiday for 2 extra days. The area by the side of our chalet (106) could do with a tidy up. There was a lot of rubbish lying around where the chickens roam free. I realise this may not be part of the resort, but all the guests use this rocky path to explore the next beach. Just needs a daily collection of plastic bottles, cans and glass bottles to improve what we see from the veranda
• hamilton (1/5): Frustrating stay with poor service and below standard conditions. - The beach is nice, but unfortunately that was outweighed by the issues during the stay. I would consider this a complete failure across the board. We stayed a the beach front suites £400 per night per room. Stayed here recently with a group and two young children. For the price this was extremely disappointing. The terrace and surrounding areas were visibly dirty and not maintained to an acceptable standard. Service was also a major issue staff struggled to understand basic requests, and even simple things like asking for plates resulted in confusion or incomplete service. Room was not cleaned to any respectful sense. During checkout Staff were largely unhelpful and disengaged. Overall, this property does not match its pricing or expectations. Location alone does not justify the cost. I would not recommend staying here unless service and cleanliness improve significantly.

Food was ok, breakfast was a reasonably good choice. Music was excellent (amazing singers and musicians), room was nice, comfortable and clean The construction was literally at the back of our room. They didn’t start until 8am and finished by 5pm. But it was constant hammering, wood planers and other tools. All of which detracted from it being a beautiful, quiet peaceful resort.

Frokosten var litt uorganisert, treg og uryddig. Mat og kaffe ble ikke fylt på. Mat stod utildekket og d var endel fluer. Border ble ikke ryddet og vasket når gjester gikk, så d virket litt grisete. Og personalet litt uinspirert og uinteressert... Dessverre er Koh Samet blitt veldig utbygget for turisme, og det er dessverre mye søppel på denne naturskjønne øyen, som faktisk er et naturreservat.

The breakfast was very good with lots of choices. My only criticism is that they play music through a speaker all day long. For this reason we moved every day to a different beach that did not play any music .

Bella la spiaggia molto raccolta in solo resort e piccoli 4/5 ristorantini. Abbiamo girato tutte le altre spiagge e questa una delle più raccolte e tranquille. Personale molto gentile. Ristorante pessimo (peggior papaya salad mangiata in Thailandia) tempi lunghi. Colazione minima a parte la colazione thai (riso, noodles)nulla di dolce solo uova e frutta. Avevamo due camere high view una era ristrutturata con bagno nuovo ma un po‘ squallida x la mancanza di un divanetto o qualcosa dove appoggiare la valigia. L‘altra vecchia con gabinetto non funzionante (-abbiamo dovuto chiamare due volte gli idraulici xké si è allagato il bagno). Pulizia degli spazi esterni, soprattutto la spiaggia non adeguata. Potenziale notevole ma manca qualcuno in grado gestire al meglio la struttura. Nelle vicinanze e nelle spiagge attigue ci sono dei buoni ristoranti dove cenare. Tanti cani liberi che corrono tra i lettini in spiaggia e fanno i loro bisogni sui cuscini

Location is great, beautiful quiet beach, the food at the restaurant is delicious (we are there all the time and everything tasted sooo nice!), the staff is so king and polite and sweet, beautiful rooms! We stayed in a room by the beach and it was so special (we really recommend booking this one!). We loved the vibe, such a good place to recharge I’ll definitely go back ❤️ Thank you everyone for making our stay so memorable Nothing really. I’ve read that you have to wait a little bit at the restaurant to get the food. That may be true, but the quality of the food is really high so it is definitely worth the wait.

Wi-Fi funziona perfettamente in tutte le aree del resort compresa la spiaggia. Aria condizionata perfetta. Da migliorare la colazione poco ricca. Lo staff parla poco inglese. Mancano lettini da spiaggia per tutti gli ospiti del resort. Tenete presente che la struttura si trova a 15 minuti in taxi dal centro del paese, Fantastico se cercate tranquillità.

• grinandbareit (6/5): Need of upgrade. - Good points - beautiful beach.staff are very polite and helpful. Hotel is compact so restaurant and beach are a few steps away. Good choice at breakfast. Not so good points - rooms are very tired, really in need of an upgrade, particularly the bathroom. No hot water (one morning no water at all) . Music is played nightly, resident singer for part of evening. If you're hoping for a quite evening sat on your balcony reading a book, you will be accompanied by the beat of music thumping out. Mozzies are everywhere so make sure you have spray, cream with you. We booked this close to arrival (had to change our original destination Koh Chang due to border conflict). The hotel was more money and I expected more value for money really. Lots of kids at the time (don't mind children,but draw the line when Russian kids come and take things from your dining table at night and run around the beach screaming during the day) Loved the beach sellers offering delicious fruit, roti, coconut water etc. Recommend taking songthaew to other restaurants, particularly loved Breezes and Reef bar. Breezes didn't have a fire show, but others including Grand View has a fire show nightly which are basically the same, so looses its attraction after a few nights. Overall we enjoyed our stay, but if the quality of room is important, you may be disappointed.

• Stephane (1/5): Horrible - Rien Voyage avec un bébé de 15 mois et un enfant de 5 ans, dernière pause relax avant le retour à la maison. On avait pris une chambre familiale. L'établissement était en travaux, à 5m des chambres familiales ! Non précisé lors de la réservation. Arrivée un dimanche, travaux (meuleuse/disqueuse) jusqu'à 17h30 ! On nous dit que ça reprend le lendemain à 10h, reprise dès 8h ! Une horreur ! Etablissement vieillissant, plage sale, arrivée en fin de journée, les vers/serviettes/plats utilisés lors de la journée par la clientèle en bord de plage non ramassés. En parlant de plage, ou pas ! Des cheveux, des bouts de verres, du plastique, impossible d'y laisser notre bébé, qui ramasse tout ce qui traîne, un cauchemar. L'établissement à refusé de nous remboursé mais à au moins payé les 200 baths qui nous séparés de l'hôtel de remplacement que nous avons trouvé à la hâte en voyant/vivant se désastre ! Ces chambres "FAMILIALES" ne devraient pas être mise en location, l'hôtel sachant très bien que les travaux en lieu à 5m de là ! Et surtout, travaux non précisé lors de la réservation, inadmissible !

• Mickael (3/5): Skulle inte bo här igen. - Rummet var fint men inget extra. Inget servicemind hos personalen och stranden var riktigt dåligt städad. Skräp, löv och en massa glas. Vi åt mat en dag och den var bedrövlig. Frukosten medioker.

• DimaAb80 (8/5): - The bed and shower were amazing . Surrounding area peacefull 🤩🤩🤩 Breakfast was western style buffet which I didn't like quality wise and the fact it not automatic Thai food :( In fact the next 2 days we decided to eat in a bar next to the resort which had great Thai food
• Ewald (5/5): - Right by the beach, has a ping pong table No pool, staff not very friendly, way too expensive for what the hotel offers (we had the Grand Wood Style Suite in December for 22'000 baht a night), no views and noise in the evening from our room, the outdoor area of our room was badly maintained and full of ants. Breakfast below average. Would only ever consider staying again for max. 5000 baht a night.

• Christian (2/5): Unbedingt meiden. - Die Freundlichkeit des Personals Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt überhaupt nicht. Man kann die ganze Anlage am Besten mit "lieblos" beschreiben. Das bezieht sich auf den Zustand der Räume, Qualität des Frühstücks / Restaurants, Liegen & Säcke am Strand, etc. Der Strand-Bereich ist auch nicht weitläufig, wie die Fotos dies suggerieren, sondern beengt. In direkter Nachbarschaft sind eher Cafes / Restaurants für "Aussteiger", wer gerne Cannabis-Geruch beim Strandspaziergang hat, der ist da richtig.
• Jose Guillermo (3/5): Disappointed - The beach was really nice. The bar staff were friendly. The facilities didn’t live up to the expectations. Broken bath, tv didn’t work, windows were dirty. On our second day we received a letter telling us that there would be a wedding the next day and that there would be loud noise and disturbances. The manger was always absent and always had excuses.

• Mats (7/5): Bra och trevligt. - Det var sköna sängar och bra läge direkt vid stranden. Välskött hotellområde. Kaos i restaurangen med konstig webbeställning. Vi åt på andra ställen efter vi sett hur det fungerar.

• Marit (8/5): Heerlijk oord, zou er zo weer naartoe gaan. - Het is een heerlijk resort aan een kleine baai. Fijn om lekker tot rust te komen. In de baai liggen nog wat armoedig uitziende tentjes maar op zich zijn die prima. Bij Flower Power wel het lekkerst en goedkoopst gegeten van de hele vakantie. Het is een net resort en eigenlijk liggen alle huisjes wel prima. Het personeel doet hun best maar ze lijken de westerse service gewoon niet te snappen. Het eten op het resort was wel prima. Juist het feit dat het een beetje afgelegen is vonden wij fijn. Het dorpje is druk en er zitten niet heel veel mooie tenten. Tip, boek de boottransfer via het hotel. Ze bieden een hele eerlijke prijs en beter dat wat wij zelf hebben kunnen regelen. De bediening snapt het principe voor en hoofdgerecht gewoon niet. Wil je in rondes eten, bestel dan iedere keer apart. Verder hadden wij helemaal geen klachten. De kamers waren fantastisch.
• raymond (9/5): - L emplacement, la plage magnifique et tranquille, la chambre familiale idéale avec 2 enfants, le personnel, la facilité du transfert depuis l aeroport. La cuisine du restaurant n est pas excellente. Heureusement il y des petits restos tres bien sur la plage juste à cote.
• Barbara (8/5): Urlaub im - Das Frühstück war eher asiatisch, sehr schmackhaft. Die Lage des Restaurants quasi am Strand war sehr schön! Es war insgesamt eine sehr entspannte Atmosphäre ohne Zwang. Man konnte sich Liegen und Sitzsäcke irgendwo und irgendwie am Strand hinstellen. Die Anlage ist schön klein und somit an sich ruhig. Leider waren wir 2 Nächte “umzingelt” von sehr lauten Nachbarn, die Alkohol tranken und Gras rauchten… Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend. Als wir ein Problem mit der Klimaanlage hatten, wurde das sofort repariert. Alles Organisatorische wie Taxifahrten klappten hervorragend. Die Ausstattung mit Kosmetikprodukten war sehr bescheiden, es gab keine Bodylotion und die Produkte rochen sehr chemisch.
