- Debra (10/5): Lovely, location, excellent customer service, lovely breakfast, and the price was right thank you - I arrived after a very long drive, tired and completely discombobulated. The young woman at the front desk immediately sensed how overwhelmed I was and went out of her way to make everything right. She helped me switch currencies for payment and even changed my room when I wasnât sure about the first one. Her kindness and empathy turned what could have been a stressful evening into a wonderfully relaxing stay. This was one of the hotels I stayed at along the Oregon coast, and I gave it a full 10/10. Iâm not usually this effusive in reviews, but she truly made all the difference. What an amazing young woman â she felt my stress and fixed it all with a smile. Highly recommend! Nothing comes to mind

- paralegalontheroad (8/5): Serviceable hotel with great views - I've stayed in both the ocean view and non-ocean view rooms when attending conferences at the Agate Beach Inn. The rooms themselves are a little plainâthe furniture is pretty no-frills but in good shape. Views from the ocean view rooms are lovely, and staff has been nothing but kind and professional. The only real downside is that when booking a room in a room block over the phone, it can take several attempts to get through, and we aren't provided a code we could use to book those rooms online. In the future it would be really great if conference room blocks could be provided some method to book from the room block online, so we don't have to inundate the front desk with calls! The conference space is adequate, but the lighting surrounding the projector screens make slideshows hard to read, especially if you're seated slightly off to the side rather than squarely in front of the screen. This wasn't an issue when I attended in 2025, so there may be new lightbulbs or aging projector lights affecting that quality. Overall, it's a pretty normal hotel with some lovely views and quality staff. If the views and easy beach access are worth it to you, it's probably worth the price; if you're looking for a luxurious room experience, it may be worth looking elsewhere.

Room was a little too small for a family of four. The property is very big, it feels more like a resort. Some general areas looked dated.

Pool-(except it was cloudy in the pool and you couldn't see the bottom) The staff was super friendly and helpful. The access was easy and pleasing when herding kids around. Beach access was a simple walk. The pool was cloudy. The bathroom had a barn door style which limits privacy.

The beds were comfortable The front desk staff i felt was not friendly. Around 8pm the coffee was out and the coffee maker in my room did not work. The carpet in the room was held down by tape and the heater/air conditioner made some weird noise when on. The room smelt very bad the housekeeper was nice enough to give us febreeze and said the smell was from the new carpet. It smelled like wet dog/smelly feet.
- Reid (7/5): It was meh. Maybe have to try another time with way lower expectations and when its not so busy? - I liked the location next to Agate Beach. It was clean and spacious enough. The TV was large, though it was a tad difficult to figure out at first because there was no obligatory laminated paper giving you more information on the channels I liked that the location is close to Yaquina Head Lighthouse. Fun experience there. We were able to get in for free with my son's 4th grade National Park pass that all 4th graders get that year. This is mostly my fault for not double checking, but from having stayed at many other Best Westerns, I booked my stay believing they provided a free continental breakfast. Which was not the case. There is a cafe/restaurant on site, but it is not included in the price of your stay. My family was pretty disappointed. But again, that was my bad. However, if I had realized or if was made more apparent online, I wouldn't have booked a stay in the first place. Also, what's with the sliding farm bathroom doors? I see that it was an effort to prevent normal swinging doors from taking up space, but the sliding doors did not offer any amount of privacy. You could hear and *smell* everything that happened in there, because the door didn't actually do much of anything other than cover the entrance. Huge gaps in the doorway and there wasnt even a handle on the inside of the door to easily open it again. I don't even know if you could lock it. It was so silly. You might as well have hung curtains over the doorway. This isn't really the hotel's fault, but it did contribute to what I didn't like. It was insanely busy. The pool and hot tub was so over packed we only stayed there maybe twenty minutes, which was also so disappointing cause that was another reason why I booked the hotel. Its spring break, I get it, but it just sucked.

- NeoAxion (10/5): Gorgeous views - One of the nicer Best Westerns Iâve been to. Very clean and modern. If you select an ocean facing room, the views are fantastic. I liked the gym which is small but quite functional. TV is bigger too with smart capabilities/great resolution, which makes it perfect for sleeping in and watching Netflix. It was February and prices were relatively low, so overall felt like a great deal.

In my experience, the rooms are clean and quiet, and the ocean view (which certainly has not changed) is fantastic. The staff, Kym at the front desk (who has a birthday this month) is knowledgeable, more than competent and easy to work with. The tone for the property is set by Josh the General, Manager and he is perfect for the job. Do try the restaurant (downstairs), but it is the coffee machine in the lobby that makes getting out of bed worthwhile....

However kids were taking up the coffee bar when I was there, which is odd because they were like 10 years old. Parents werenât even around they were just running around unattended. Itâs family friendly I guess. Love the pool and hot tub. View is great from the room. it is a little of a walk to the beach but they have outside fire pits to hang out around. We ate desert at the restaurant it was good. It would be nice if the pool was open longer but other than that itâs a great place to stay.

I was pleasantly surprise to find a mini-frig behind the door of the dresser and the room was very perfect for my stay. I would have liked a room closer to the elevator but when you book with online reservations you aren't necessarily given an option. My work assignment was very taxing and it would have been nice to have had a room closer.

- Rieal (3/5): Always extra lock all the doors! - View I was getting out of the shower around 11 when I hear 3 fast knocks then beep and door open then bang from hitting the door stop. Then the door shutting. My fiancĂ© was getting up from the bed to answer the door but it was too fast by time they opened. My bathroom door was not shut all the way. the door when it opens it shows directly into the bathroom. I got wrapped up in towel after drying off and called the front desk very upset. To confirm check out is 12. She said yes itâs 12 I explained what just happened. No sorry no apologies instead it was so you are staying till 12 I said yes. I explained the privacy sign was on the door handle, as well as it was locked and she still came in. Front desk lady said ok I will tell housekeeping youâre not leaving till 12. Iâm extremely upset as my privacy was violated! WITH THE PRIVACY CARD UP! I think itâs extremely inappropriate to knock and go in with no wait. No time for my fiancĂ© to even get from the bed to door he didnât even make it to foot of bed he said . I didnât know if the knock was to our door or neighbor room. Till the door opened right after. Neighboring rooms x2 can open doors make sure they are locked. Also balcony is short and neighbor rooms join your balcony.
