Guest Reviews
- jean pierre (9/5): - Tout Rien
- Gregory (9/5): - The Casa Rural seems to be set up to share the kitchen and den like leisure room with at least two other parties. I got lucky, I had the whole place to myself. No comments here.
- concepcion (10/5): -
- Emily (8/5): - Great location. Staff was very helpful when I needed help with heating the room. It’s a 3 bedroom 2 bath apartment with a full kitchen and living room. I rented 1 room but had the entire place to myself because no one else had booked the other rooms.

- Julie (7/5): - You pay for what you get, basic. We found it ok, bathroom a little dirty, but linen was clean.
It had a fully equipped kitchen and washing machine which was handy. For one night it was ok accommodation. Bathroom needs a clean
- David (7/5): -
- Lynn (8/5): Comfortable stay and a great apartment with everything needed for a longer stay - Good location. Older apartment but very clean Nothing really. Host didn’t speak English but we ARE in Spain and Google Translate came in handy

- Beatrice Marx (5/5): I did not feel safe. Solo female travelers do not go. - The location is good. I booked a double bed room and got the whole apartment on the second floor with one key for the bedroom, one for the door to the apartment and one for the outside door. Bathroom was fine. Kitchen practical. Washing machine not working. What ruined my stay was that at 10.30pm someone banged the door to the apartment and rang the bell like crazy. I had locked the apartment and left the keys in the lock so that nobody could enter it but still it was very unnerving. As a solo traveler I didn't answer but I didn't feel safe. The owner lives in the apartment below. It seems that the house has only these 2 apartments, the owner's and the one I was in. Anyway, I was about to call the police (guardia civil) on my WhatsApp!
I don't recommend it to solo female travelers.
- Marie (7/5): Basic but clean. - Basic accommodation, shared bathroom (nice to have an actual bath) and good location, next to tourist office. Proprietor not especially friendly or welcoming; only accepted cash.
- yvan (9/5): Très bon séjour dans cet appartement. - Situation au cœur de Sahagún.
Propreté : irréprochable
Calme Douche : rideau peu pratique et peu efficace.
Des casseroles semblent manquantes.
- Ingrid (4/5): Alte Ferienwohnung, nicht unser Fall. - Zentrale Lage.
- Juanjo (6/5): -
- Paul (4/5): Stressful - Nothing Owner insisted on cash payment despite booking.com taking card details so assumption being could pay by card. Owner insisted I go to ATM to get cash while I left my possessions in house. Also, had to wait outside the door for a long while so had to call the owner to get access.
- Luigi (8/5): -
- Miwon (10/5): Comfortable like my own home - It was in central in Sahagun. The owner was very kind and friendly. House was clean quite well equipped. I felt like I am in my house. None
- Eduardo (8/5): -
- Lisa (5/5): Good nights sleep - Great bed
Great bathrooms

Rien
- Jose Luis (9/5): Perfecto - Todo Nada

- Sophie (10/5): Marvelous stay - Highly recommended. Spacious rooms, outstanding furnished kitchen, flawless bathroom and very nice, attentive host. It was one of the best apartments that we have stayed at during our El Camino Pilgrimage trip.
- Lisa (10/5): Peaceful night on the Camino - A big apartment to ourselves and had everything we needed for a great night on the Camino.
Bug kitchen and washing machine.
The host checked us in easily and left us to it.
Had made a little bed for the baby too.
Thank you :) Just a little bit more of a clean to the bath tub
Beds and mattress seemed a little dated but ok
- Padraig (9/5): Superb -
- Chak-riya (9/5): Superb -
- Elma (10/5): Exceptional - It was a nice place, we were able to cook dinner and breakfast. It was clean and the host was helpful.
- Jo (8/5): Very good - Location close to Camino trail and town, washing machine & kitchen use included & nice lounge area. Full length windows open to view church spacious room Not very clear but its a shared bathroom- the tub looked a bit grubby. Cash only for payment. A bit odd no room numbers & not sure where the host was -no obvious “desk” some outside space would have been nice to use
- Alistair (9/5): Superb - We got the whole apartment to ourselves!!! Host doesn't speak english
- Carlos (4/5): Disappointing - Spacious Outdated
Not worth 50 Euros
Only took cash
- Miguel (8/5): Very good -
- Jane (7/5): Good -
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Mary (5/5): Fine for one night; would be great for a group who wanted a couple of rest days. - Room was comfortable; good location. Didn't realize I would have an entire apartment. It was much too large for one person. Based on booking.com photos, I expected the facility to be more rural. I did have a patio, but do not recall seeing any grass. Was in the middle of the city. Not sure now what the term "casa rural" actually means.
- Candy (10/5): Comfortable, central place to stay - Easy to find. Owner was helpful Nice clean room, kitchen facilities and nice living room with tv. WiFi did not reach to my room.
- Collins (10/5): A great place to stay if you are looking for peace and quiet. - Our second experience of Casa Rurals. After contacting the owner on arrival, we waited outside before he arrived to let us in. We had the whole downstairs apartment to ourselves which was amazing.
The owner was friendly and we didn’t see him again.
Warm, clean facilities only a short distance from the bars and restaurants in the town. The Saturday market was pretty good too! Nothing
- Pauline (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect stop on Camino , apartment to ourselves , lovely to relax and free washing machine, highly recommend 👌 All good
- Mary (9/5): Great affordable space at the Camino halfway point. - Facilities included kitchen, bath, living area etc and we were the only ones. Great value. Host was kind and accommodating and replied to message inquiries quickly. Some have commented he didn’t speak English well but really, he was a great host even though we didn’t speak Spanish well. A little more clarity accommodations would be great: were we sharing the floor but no one else booked? It seemed so but when met Camino friends there, we assumed they would be in our apt but they had an apt on another floor. Not complaining, we were just very unsure of what the accommodations were in terms of shared space.
- Heather (10/5): Exceptional -
- Diane (10/5): Fantastic value, and tons of space in a perfect location in Sahagún - This place was fabulous. I had no idea that I would have an entire apartment all to myself. The host, Claudio, is wonderful.
- Eric (7/5): Good -
- Harold (7/5): Good -
- Beatrice (8/5): Very good -
- Natalie (10/5): Best place to rest and restore on Camino - Best place to relax and recharge after many days on the Camino. Had the entire apartment to myself. It was very private and quiet. The host was very kind and helpful. Kitchen is fully equipped and even has a washer. There are 2 bathrooms, one of which has a bath. The living area is spacious and has comfortable seating and a nice table to eat at. The garden got good sun in the afternoon which was perfect to dry my clothes. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone who would like a quiet, private and spacious place to fully relax. NA
- Roselle (5/5): Passable -
- Rosemarie (8/5): Very good - Shared bathroom. However, it did not appear that there were any others in the property.
- Elizabeth (10/5): A lovely stopover on the Camino. - Great central location. Very quiet. We had the whole area (bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, lounge room and terrace) to ourselves. Great value. Nothing we did not like.
- Pilgrim (8/5): Very good -
- Kurt (10/5): Very nice. - Excellent property. Great location. I had the entire apartment to myself. Very clean comfortable bed very nice bathroom. It was a very pleasant stay.
- John (8/5): Very good -
- Evelyn (8/5): We’d stay there again - Marital bed. Clean. Nice shared living room and kitchen A little “weird”. We were only guests on first floor although other rooms there and people turned away. Only spoke Spanish which was a little difficult
- Kevin (9/5): Peaceful Sleep. - The ideal stop over if you are in need of a recharge. Comfortable bed in a quiet vicinity ensures a good night's sleep. Full use of a well equipped kitchen which is spotlessly clean. The host was extremely helpful. Highly recommended. Nothing.
- Sung (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sophia (7/5): Good -
- Gavin (7/5): Good -
- Glenn (6/5): It was ok - Location, kitchen and lounge area Bath and spa jets not clean, so did not have a bath, also we did not realise that it was a shared bathroom, however we were the only ones there so it was ok
- Greg (8/5): The place kind of grows on you. - This is a quiet and practical accommodation. The host very patiently helped me operate the washing machine to catch up on my Camino laundry. Later he gave me the best advice about where to dine (Restaurant Luis). The bathrooms are shared, but I was there alone. Would be great for a family or group of friends.
- Collins (9/5): Superb -
- Keith (6/5): Good location - Location Access. I had to wait 30 min to be let in
They have no credit card machine, so you must pay in cash.
- Linda (10/5): Nice place very close to center of town. - Very quiet, clean, kitchen available. Private room with shared bath, but no one else was staying there that night so we had the bath to ourselves.
- Leona (6/5): It was nice but not what I would expect for the price. - This is a good location but it was difficult to find as there was no sign. We walked for 15 minutes looking for it passing it twice. The WiFi was only in the common room.
- Ashley (8/5): Good clean room in a good location. - Clean room, comfy bed. Enjoyed being able to use the kitchen and lounge. Lucky that no other rooms were booked, so we had the communal areas to ourselves. Needed to go and get cash to pay for the room. The owner could have been a bit friendlier despite the language constraints. Couldn’t get hot water.
- Colleen (8/5): Very good - Clean good location Everything was fine
- Lynn (10/5): I recommended this place to friends as we thought it offered everything we needed. - It was quiet, very clean and very comfortable. The host was friendly and helpful The wifi was great in the common rooms but not so much in our sleeping quarters. For me that was fine, I went to the lounge to access wifi.
- Lucy (9/5): Superb -
- Martin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (8/5): Very good - Good room, kitchen with washing machine 2 bathrooms for 3 rooms. No one else was staying the night I. was there, but it could have become a shared bathroom. Not made clear on booking.
- Elena (10/5): Exceptional -
