- Phil (10/5): - Handy to everything that you need to do in Bangkok. The room we had was renovated, large and safe. Good breakfast included. Value for money! The only negative is that the hotel does not supply an iron and ironing board.
- John (10/5): - The newly renovated room was exceptional
- Stephen (10/5): Worth the price - Great breakfast. Staff is so alert! Shower and bed quite good
- Gavin (8/5): - The property’s old but it’s solid nd quiet with plenty of character.
- David (6/5): - The cost of living is now very high
- John (8/5): - Have stayed here on multiple occasions. Check in is easy. Very close to BTS line. Bars and restaurants easy walking distance. “Country Road” live music bar is a nice stroll or tuk tuk ride. Breakfast is provided and plentiful. Wifi provided. My bed was nice and firm. Room ladies were always on hand if you required anything. The pool is great. It’s just a great, central place. Thankyou.
- Domenico (8/5): - Easy stay
- Leonzo (10/5): - Always love the stay at Nana
- Gavin (8/5): - Great location
- Jeffrey (8/5): - There was plenty of amenities. Good staff. Lots of local food options around.
- joe (8/5): - The room and bathroom are old. The bath tub caulking has turned black.
The 3rd floor hallway carpet is worn out and dirty. The staff were nice and very helpful. I stayed at this hotel because it had good ratings. It did not live up to thecratings at all.
- Val (10/5): - Good
- Rob (8/5): - Staff are great pool very nice
- Russell (4/5): - Good
- John (10/5): - Stayed here several times. Checkin is always easy and straightforward. Breakfast vouchers great. Good choice of bacon/eggs/toast and all the usual breakfast items. The pool has adequate shade areas. Rooms are comfortable and clean, although you can tell by some of the odors that the previous occupant did NOT abide by Non-smoking room. All over a very pleasant experience. Good bars very close by.
- Guillermo E (10/5): - I almost like everything. The staff are always freindly and helpful, great to stay in there.
- Nicholas (10/5): - The staff is very friendly and the massage from the spa is great! They are very guest friendly and the maid service is top notch! Clean sheets, towels, and free bottles of water. Theres also the free complimentary drink and the breakfast. It is close to all the fun you could want! I look forward to coming back!
- Kyle (8/5): Great hotel - I enjoy the hotel the only down fall was the tub
It was to high and the water pressure was bad
The other thing was whe showering the water goes from hot to cold and back. It kept doing that.
- Mark (8/5): - I am a returning guest and very happy with my one-night stay in a standard room at Nana Hotel. I booked one night at this hotel as I am a solo traveller with my flight arriving in Bangkok in the late afternoon. I wanted a cheaper option for the first night’s stay, prior to moving to my nearby (and considerably more expensive) longer term hotel. The room I was provided with was large in size, clean and comfortable with everything I needed. The breakfast was included in the booking and although the cooked dishes were not very warm in temperature, the food was okay and I appreciated the coffee. The staff are friendly and helpful, plus the hotel has a hair / nail salon and massage shop. The hotel is located opposite Nana Plaza and is on Sukhumvit Soi 4 which has a very good range of restaurants, bars and adult entertainment…plus other areas of interest are within walking distance: Benchakitti Park and shopping malls.
- Murray (10/5): - I stay at the Nana many times and it ticks all the boxes
- Larry (8/5): - Hotel has seen better days but they renovating rooms to high standard. Bed firm but got great sleep. No view however, I know, there are rooms with City views.
- David (10/5): - Nana hotel is a very nice hotel close to all the nightlife if you so desire. Check out time is not until 2pm, so you can sleep in. When I arrive in Thailand I always stay here after a long flight. The next day I have a nice lunch and then take a taxi to my home in Phatum Thani. Thank-you Nana.
- Peter (6/5): - Plenty of bars
- michael (2/5): - Noisy being disturbed by knocking on the door by drunks at 2.45 am
- william (6/5): - 4 or 5th time I've stayed. going downhill. room rather clean with sheets, bedding, towels good. pillows hard. stains on furniture. TV poor quality. Front desk seems unhappy about their jobs. When I find another place with a good pool like they have I will be out .
- Dimitrios (6/5): - Good for the price, rude staff
- ognian (10/5): - Great location to restaurants and night live
- Gary (8/5): - Good location
- Stewart (8/5): 1 night stay with friends - Check-in, was smooth, rooms are clean, shower was fantastic.
It was low season and there currently doing renovation on the 4th floor starting from 9pm.
- Jeff (6/5): - Good location, close to BTS.
- David (10/5): - My favourite hotel in Bangkok! Good value for money, in an excellent (wild) location, the new pool is great and the included breakfast buffet has a seemingly endless supply of scrambled eggs and bacon/sausage which is what I want.
Staff are cool, the rooms are renovated and the lobby downstairs still has the retro feeling of old Bangkok with uniformed staff and various amenities.
Will be staying here again next year, and for the rest of my times visiting Bangkok as long as it remains open!
- A (10/5): Great and accommodating. - It was great and very accommodating. The breakfast has a hard stop but is nice if you make it in time. The flexibility of bringing guests back was really nice and the key drop off was also helpful.
- John (10/5): - Older property that still does things right. Great staff. Centrally located.
- Michael (2/5): - Room smelled like stinky cigar smoke
- ERIC (8/5): - RIGHT IN MIDDLE OF NIGHTLIFE
- John (8/5): - Good service at hotel
- EDDIE (2/5): Awful - Those dirty yang yangs have awful customer service.
- Raymond (2/5): - Room full of large and small cockroaches
Tried
to overcharge me when I left
Breakfast very poor and not as good as previously.
- Carter (8/5): - The only drawbacks were 1.) internet is very slow, and 2.) near the end of my stay I started noticing cockroaches in the bathroom. Even though housekeeping sprayed for them, by the next day they were coming in in larger numbers.
Overall the room is nice, location is great as MRT, shops, restaurants and bars are all within walking distance
- Henry (10/5): - Old property. Keep up and clean
- David (10/5): - I love staying here! The breakfast is good, the pool is great, and it's in an exciting location. I've stayed here many times over the past 20 years and I keep coming back.
- robert (8/5): - Renovated good but bed mattress also needs renewing.
- Timothy (8/5): - Close to nana plaza. Every thing walking distance. Will stay again
- Jonathan (6/5): - There are two major positives now for this hotel – the obvious location being directly opposite Nana Plaza and now the refurbished swimming pool area which has fantastic sun loungers and a wonderful pool to relax beside. However, a word of warning for any sun worshippers: the sun disappears behind the next door building by about 2 pm so you will not be able to top up your suntan later in the afternoon beyond this time if that’s your thing.
The rooms and hotel remain pretty much the same as they’ve ever been which is old and tatty. Although the rooms are a pretty decent size and have clean bed linen every day you will see an ashtray in the bedroom along with windows that do not open, which results in a constant underlying smell of nicotine and old cigarette smoke baked into the walls and the furniture and it is this that is the worst thing thing about staying in this hotel. Why they cannot designate rooms as smoking and non-smoking and repaint and deep clean the non-smoking rooms is beyond me. This is constantly the problem with hotels in Bangkok that do not have balconies.
Overall, it is an inexpensive and location convenient hotel to stay at which is central to the nightlife and transport links but it does need a thorough deep clean to make this an ideal choice for staying in Bangkok.
- Mohammad (8/5): - Good hospitality
- John (8/5): A value hotel in a lively location. - a short walk to all the adult fun.
- Frederick (10/5): - Make no mistake this is a very old building and hotel, but for the price it’s great! Convenient access to party area and BTS. The staff are all old timers, they were all great! Will stay again.
- tia kang (8/5): - Location is good as it’s near nightlife area.
- Douglas (10/5): NaNa - As expected good budget friendly hotel great location good staff.
- Mubarak (8/5): - Nice hotel and right in main area 👌
- Mahendra (6/5): - the property was located in a great area, close to the main attractions and easy to navigate around. The staff were not very nice, they lack customer skills. The minute that you walk to the front desk, the doorman came and snatched your suitcases and did not even allow you enough time to check in properly. They can be a little more polite and courteous.
- Michael (10/5): - Centrally located. BTS Nana station 3 min walk
- Richard (10/5): - Right in the heart of the "nightlife" district. Not suitable for families. The hotel has been updated and remodeled since my last visit (years ago), much improved, quite nice.
- John (2/5): - Overall extremely poor. Dated, rude staff and very below average rooms. Hey ho, my first time in BKK, should have expected it!
- Gregory (10/5): - Great service by all staff
- Gary (8/5): - Nice holtel
- Michael (10/5): - Centrally located next to several metro lines. Plenty shopping nearby and also bars and nightlife
- Desmond (10/5): - All good. Friendly staff. Huge beds❤️❤️
- james (8/5): - The nana is always convenient and the pool area is always enjoyable and quiet...the buffet breakfast unfortunately has remained the same for the past 25 years...needs an upgrade and a fresh egg cook on duty...and some new options...
- Walter (2/5): - A very old-fashioned property that needs updates. Needs to be renovated new mattresses new carpet... There was a very foul smell in the room... I got a hotel directly across the street very clean.
- Arthur (10/5): - Great place great location
- Regis (8/5): - The breakfasts are amazing and staff so efficient and friendly.
- Stephen (8/5): 1 night stay - Good location centre for sky trains etc....
Shopping night life
- R Lalit (8/5): - Good place to stay, just some noise from the near by nana plaza.
- Richard (8/5): - Nighlife was brilliant for me and my 2 friends had a brilliant stay before going to pattaya
- Dennis (10/5): - Cln good service.
- John (8/5): - Very central for transport links ie train or good for walking places
- Colin (10/5): - Location and breakfast and swimming pool
- Ian (6/5): Bad beds - If you want a bad back then stay at this hotel the bed was very old and the mattress older they move me but had the same problem with the bed spoke to many guests all of them said the same things need to upgrade the beds I will never stay at this hotel till they change the beds
- Robert (8/5): - Right in the middle of the action. Everything is in walking distance. Restaurants and bars everywhere. The hotel provides a free breakfast that was very nice and a free drink at check in. I will return.
- Blaine (4/5): Roach Hotel - Nana Hotel has a serious roach problem! There were always roaches in the bathroom. Pretty disgusting. Otherwise would have been okay. Room was spacious and staff were okay. I got very sick on this trip. Not sure if related to the dirty hotel room. I will not stay here ever again!
- Victor (10/5): - .
- Peter (6/5): Alright for price. - Need to exterminate ants in room. Should have gym/fitness facility. Swimming pool area should be NO SMOKING! There is ALWAYS someone SMOKING in the pool area. There is only 1 usable electric outlet available, otherwise you need to unplug TV or Lamp. Have stayed here many years, breakfast has really become skimpy.
- Valerie (8/5): - Convenient location to sky train night life
The beds are a little uncomfortable
- Victor (10/5): - This is the only place I stay
- gary (8/5): - across the street from nana plaza, 15 sec walk
- Gordon (8/5): - The room service was not very good as in the actual food but the service itself was excellent
- Robert (10/5): - Right in the middle of all the action !!
- Jose (2/5): rude service - Old hotel. I arrived at 11 pm and the receptionist was really rude and couldn't find my reservation and I had to pay again for the reservation that was already paid, a mess. Now trying to get a reimbursement.
- robert (10/5): - All okay
- behnam (2/5): - Roaches in the room and bathroom. Noise from outside and A/C. Door to the room unsafe and damaged. Buffet Dining room is dirty. Jacuzzi out of order. Selection of food very limited. Rooms and bathrooms are old and no update and still old key system. The area is very noisy and it is not family oriented area.
- John (10/5): - Close to BTS and entertainment centre
- Michael (8/5): - This is Nana hotel across the street from Nana plaza, so dont expect Hyatt level or standards here. Having said that, i have been staying here on short Bangkok trips for many years and have always found the hotel suited my needs. The staff are courteous in my experience and the rooms themselves, while dated, are perfectly functional and clean.
- michael (10/5): -
Everything you need is close by.
- Kenyatta (2/5): - I checked in and never slept here or even move my bags inside. There were roaches inside the bathroom. I canceled my remaining days there and requested to get a refund. Expedia team allegedly failed to get into contact with the manger there to authorize the refund. I don’t believe Expedia even attempted. They offered $20 credits for a $100 payment. This is unacceptable. Give me my money back in full.
- Cory (10/5): - Great location
- Carter (10/5): - Check-in was flawless, staff friendly during my 6 day stay. Restaurant had very good Pad Kee Mao (somewhat spicy!) There is some construction going on, but it was not intrusive. The only negative I had was that the mattress was very firm (personal preference is a softer mattress, but that is not the hotel's fault!) It is a older hotel, but it is continually updating which is a plus. The location is good, a 5 minute walk to the MRT which will get you anywhere in Bangkok, many shopping centers within a few minutes walking or MRT, and entertainment/restaurants abound in the area. I stayed on the 6th floor and had absolutely no problem with noise (and I tend to go to bed before midnight so I was prepared for noise but didn't hear any. Also, if you sit out on the patio for drinks and/or meals, the staff is very effective at keeping peddlers away.
- Andy (6/5): - Right in the heart of the Red Light district which is great for people watching but lots of unwanted attention for a solo male traveller, probably better for couples
Pool was being maintained, would have been good to know this before booking as I would have chosen another hotel with a functioning pool
- James (6/5): - Smelled of smoke, even in a non smoking room. Sheets were stained. Felt more like an hourly hotel.
- Richard Rene (8/5): - In the heart of nana. Convenient to night life
- Andrew (4/5): - Its a great location and the room was good, very big with a sofa but I wouldn't have stayed there if I had have known the pool was empty and under repair for 3-6 months.
- Yoshimitsu (8/5): - very good
- Michael (10/5): - Great buffet. Nice staff
- Alan (6/5): - Adequate, not great. Old and not maintained well.
- james (10/5): - The staff are friendly and helpful and the area is easy to get all around.
- Jonathan (6/5): - I booked the Nana hotel after reading the reviews on this site to booking as it looked like a very convenient option due to the short stay I was taking in Bangkok before travelling further down into southern Thailand. As soon as I arrived, I was informed that the swimming pool was being refurbished and so would be out of action for my two days there which I was not advised prior to booking ruling out any chance of an afternoon dip or catching any sunshine by the pool whilst I was there. The room itself was an okay size despite the clean bed linen there was a slight undertone of cigarette smell within the room itself which I just couldn’t get used to. The room itself was fairly quiet at night, which was good, but there was no tea or coffee making equipment within the room so no morning cuppa to be had which was very surprising as most hotels have this within the room.
The biggest selling point for this hotel is simply its location as it is literally on the front doorstep of Nana Plaza and all of the surrounding bars and entertainment. It is also a short walk to the train stations that can lead you to the main shopping parts of town like Siam Square One and MBK.
Overall, I was hoping for a more positive experience from my stay but putting location to one side I don’t think I will be looking to stay here again in the future.
