- Verified traveler (8/5): Gute Lage zum Ski fahren!! - Hotel war sauber gewesen. Die Lage zum Skigebiete ist sehr gut. Es sind zu Fuß zum Skigebiet ca. 15 Minuten. Repception war immer besetzt und freundlich. Frühstück ist ausreichend.

- Nadine (6/5): Hotel unweit der Piste - Von Außen ist das Hotel recht schön und auch ruhig gelegen. Leider ist im Hotel alles sehr hellhörig. Wir hatten ein Zimmer direkt gegenüber des Raumes der Reinigung und haben jeden Morgen ab 6:30 Uhr mehrmals das Befüllen und Entleeren des Wischwassereimers mit anhören dürfen. Auch Gespräche aus den Nachbar Zimmern lassen sich ohne große Bemühungen verfolgen -trotz laufendem TV.... Die Matratzen in unserem Zimmer waren durchgelegen und auch in das angepriesene kostenfreie und überall verfügbare WLAN konnten wir uns nur mit Glück an der Zimmertür einwählen. Das Bad war angenehm sauber und auch modern. Was mir persönlich im Zimmer fehlte ist ein Wasserkocher um nach einem langen Tag an der frischen Luft noch ein-zwei Tee trinken zu können. Das service Personal im Restaurant ist überaus freundlich und sehr bemüht die Tische sauber zu halten. Top! An der Rezeption wurden wir zuerst freundlich empfangen. Als wir jedoch das nicht erreibare WLAN und die Lautstärke im Zimmer reklamieren wollten war die ältere Dame nicht mehr so freundlich und meinte wir hätten ein sehr gutes Zimmer und bezüglich der Verbindung hätte sich noch nie ein Gast beschwert. Wenn wir Ruhe wollen könnten wir doch in den Wellness Bereich gehen. ACHTUNG, dieser Bereich muss angemietet werden und wird je Stunde abgerechnet! Preise dafür liegen im Zimmer aus. Gut fanden wir, dass den Zimmern Spinde zugeordnet sind in denen man Snowboard/Ski einschließen kann und nicht mit auf das Zimmer nehmen muss.

- 330ditas (10/5): Restaurant - Absolutely great food and waiters, friendly and professional. We were surprised with service, one of the best and most professional in Spindleruv Mlyn. The hotel has also great indoor place for kids - playground for smaller kids and football area for teens plus bowling and billiard with bar. We for sure will come back soon.
- invious (8/5): Loved it - A la card is super. We thought the difference between the other more standard menu thus was just wat beter of really enjoyed everything. Ski is just simpel, i would recommend the most snowt times. Breakfast was rich and relaxed. Zo ski is simple but enjoy the peace and food and luxery here.
- Rensje007 (8/5): Impressed! - 3 nights. Beautiful childfriendly hotel! As we arrived we got a warm welcome from the receptionist. Spoke very good German and helped us with all our questions during our stay! We stayed at a room next to the entrance. Bit loud but easy with our luggage. Playroom downstairs, squash room is changed into a soccer play area for the older kids! Breakfast is ok. Not special. Dinner there (halfpension) disgusting! Tasteless ,dry! Eat your dinner somewhere else and your stay will be great!
- worldTravelerUSA2009 (6/5): Food sucks, but 90 minute massage is the best - We stayed there for 5 days with a half-board package (breakfast and dinners). We had never tasted such tasteless food, even with Czech specialty such as potato pancake. The so-called soup is so horrible basically salted salty water with whatever they happen to put in it that day. The children play area is nice for families. However, it would be much nicer if it has a pool. But the best thing about the hotel is the 90 minutes sports massage. It was so nice that my husband got 2 massages while I got one (we discovered it towards the end of our trip, regretfully). The hotel is very difficult to find, no real address, not in the navigation system, but on a long driveway below another hotel. If you come at night, you will NEVER find it because the small sign on the street has no light to direct you. Even the GPS provided by the booking company is not correct. The maid service is terrible. I actually don't like my towels and sheets cleaned everyday, but they don't clean ANYThing during the 5 days, not dirty glasses, not towels. They make the beds, and that's all they do it seems.
- ERicDc_12 (6/5): The 90 minute Sports Massage is the best reason to be at this hotel - The 90 minute Sports Massage at 950 CK is the best I have had in a long time. Jarda, the masseur, speaks English well enough to be understood, and a little bit of German. Just arrive 5 minutes earlier than the scheduled because the clocks are set ahead five minutes ahead of real time. There is a winter equipment locker room near the main entrance which is great for letting the ice melt off your skiis, boots, etc. The hotel is OK. It is very family oriented with activities for all ages. Just make sure your 3 and 4 year olds do not request food or toys from staff. It will be given and you will be charged for it. The breakfast is nothing special although the juice machine has awful tasting juices. Water is the best bet. Dinner is mostly a miss. The meat is not overcooked, it is just too salty. Kids meals are 50 CK, about 2 euro, per dinner. Some of the other reviews suggested restaurants in town or in other towns. I cannot recommend any, but my guess is that the food is probably better than the hotel's food.
- edgar_was_here (6/5): Average standards - Average rating on all fronts (quiet location, modest hotel, clean rooms, reasonable food, free parking and free wifi), but what happened to the Czech hospitality??? Okay, we all have our off-days sometimes, but for the staff of this hotel being impolite or unfriendly looks to be their second nature: no word of welcome when arriving, no hello or goodbye when passing the reception, always a sigh when asking something, even when ordering a coffee or a beer. I wonder what happens when there's a real complaint... Taking in consideration the very low prices of this hotel (family of 4, half board for less than EUR 100 a night) and you don't care for a smile from time to time, this hotel might be good value for money for you.
- didPrague (10/5): Excellent for Family - We love to go there for many years with the kids - kids love the place - hotel nice -foods nice necessary to take taxi to go for skiing - bedroom are nice - there is a bowling , place for kids to play, squash...
- Martienv (8/5): summer vacation 2013 - If you travel here be sure you book with breakfast only, if you want to eat here in the evening eat a la carte. In doing this you have some great other options in the village to eat. In the nearby town of Vrchlabi there are even more restaurants. I traveled to this hotel with my own car and the scenery is really great. The roads through the mountains are terrible but if you follow bigger roads it's not so bad.
- vaclean (6/5): OK, slowly degrading - We've been to Spindleruv Mlyn and this hotel many times during the past decade. It's OK, breakfasts are very reasonable, though the dinners are a bit expensive and the restaurant is closed for lunchtime during the past 2-3 years. The quality of many services is slowly degrading, and actually drives us out for the next year...
- WillyHiker (8/5): A good base camp for skiing (if you take a depot) - Actually we didn't plan with this hotel, an overbooking made it happen and we couldn't complain about it. The hotel is clearly aiming for guest which are not willing to pay the higher prices downtown but don't want to sacrify the comfort of a good residence. The mixture is quite satisfying: the room were big and comfortable, the restaurant quite good (not spectacular though), the service are fairly priced... It is quite good for skying if you take a depot at the slopes. The hotel is ca. 600 m from the Svaty Petr ski ressort (one of the two big one in Spindleruv Mlyn). So you could walk there without a big problem. The way back is quite steep and nothing for ski boots and heavy loads. So leave your skis and boots at the ressort (it will cost you 60 CZK, ~2,2 € per pairs).
- BartMarleen (8/5): Simple but adequate hotel - We stayed in a double room during the ski season. Rooms are nice, breakfast is great and dinner is okay (no vegetables). The skibus doesn't stop in front of the hotel and most of the slopes are quite far. Without your own wheels you need to use taxis. Which are quite affordable. Because you're not staying in the centre of town there are no restaurants within walking distance except for the one in the hotel. Staff is friendly but their English is very limited, German is allright. A lot of families with children stay in the hotel, this can get quite loud.
