- MVogan (8/5): Almost great stay in Hostería Durán - Great spa with thermal spring water in a large swimming pool, a hotter small pool., cold pool, mud therapy pool and steam rooms. Lovely roomy Junior Suite. Weather was cool so we were glad there was heating to turn on. Would have liked more curtains very stylish but only covered half the windows. We had a meal in the Tucumán Restaurant in the same Hostería although great food and we advised my wife's gluten allergy she still got terrible symptoms of gluten contamination and there was no redress only an apology. Kitchen staff needs gluten free training.

- Lima (9/5): Great stay with kids - The Turkish steam room had fresh eucalyptus leaves, the pool was very warm. The people at the reception were very nice, I left my phone in the taxi and they contacted the taxi company to get my phone back. Room was very clean and had a heater to warm up.

- Liqiong (7/5): Good place but they really need to check their staff. - Good place to relax Staff at the front took advantage from my parents, they werent very fluent at spanish and they were really tired. Staff told them to pay in cash, but later on they checked their credit card and it seems like they charged my parents credit card too. Cant complaint agaisnt them because of the language barrier but we wont come to this hotel again.

- Beverly (9/5): Charming historic hotel with great on-site hot springs - This hotel is amazing! It’s in a historic spanish style building with okd architecture around a courtyard. There are four on-site included hot spring fed pools, plus a steam room/ turkish sauna and free DIY skin mud treatment. The pools were nice, room lovely and clean, grounds very nice, and breakfast large and very good. Only things to consider are that it is 15-20m outside the city center and the traffic can get very congested. As well, the pools can get busy at night with social families and kids, so if you are expecting a serene and whisper quiet spa experience, this is not it- at least in the evening. But it was nice to see and I enjoyed it. Quiet hours appear to be after 10pm

- Ricardo (1/5): Disappointing and stressful experience, won’t come back ever - Staff and the restaurant are nice. Thermal pool and areas are open to the general public. Dozens of people came in and out all day long, a lot of noise and music. Don’t expect to find easy parking as guest. We didn’t have privacy to use the thermal facilities. As guests you won’t have priority for anything.

- Luis Dario (10/5): Excelente experiencia - La hostería como siempre ha sido un lugar excelente para visitar ya sea en familia o con la pareja, el lugar es a pocos minutos del centro de cuenca y es super tranquilo, las instalaciones son elegantes, las habitaciones muy bonitas, la limpieza y el servicio al cliente es lo que destaca en este hotel. Adicional a eso el restaurante es uno de los mejores de Cuenca, su comida es deliciosa y a buenos precios

Nuestra habitación era amplia , confortable, nos cambiaron las toallas cuando lo solicitamos, muy limpia. Las instalaciones son hermosas, tiene jardines por todos lados. El desayuno buffet espectacular. Hay mucho para disfrutar y me encantó que tenga áreas para niños. Lo único que podrían aumentar es un lugar para cambiar pañales, ya que van muchos niños hace falta eso, por lo demás estuvo muy lindo todo.

- Lisa (10/5): Great stay - This is one of my go to places for rest/relaxation without venturing out. Food is great, service is always wonderful and staff is attentive to everything. Management had to drive me to Novaqua Spa, I mentioned I had the “top” man helping me, he replied “no the top person are our guests”. That’s how I always feel since staying with them in 2015 onwards.

- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice place but very disappointed to find out that people from outside can pay fee dollars and use the pool! They have a public pool already next to the Hosteria. I was looking for a relaxing time in the termal water with my family but there were kids diving, people swimming and raising , and nobody there to stop them. I guess there are no rules for the pool! Next time I can stay somewhere much cheaper and pay $8 for the entrance !

Ample parking. Food was delicious, the free breakfast is great and dinner menu is varied with fair prices. We visited their spa and enjoyed the whole day. Beds were comfortable. Definitely a place to be back.
