kaaG3498NA (2/5): sketchy hotel - I made a reservation about two weeks ago, but the staff ignored my messages until I CC'd the general manager. As soon as I stopped including the general manager in my requests, the staff stopped responding again. Additionally, they sent me a letter demanding that I pay cash for my stay, even though I booked through the official website using my card. This situation makes the hotel feel sketchy. I have already informed my credit card company to be prepared in case they attempt to charge my account without authorization.
maurdsisir (2/5): Severe incident - falling roof - The hotel is decent looking from outside in a good location. We stayed room no 408 and 409 with our family for two nights last week from 22/10 to 24/10 . We have got one room upgrade from studio to one bedroom apartment . Things were so good till that time . The room service operator was pathetic , very difficult to make him understand what we want . We got some omelettes after 45 minutes , one cutlery for four plates . Food was ordinary , immensely overpriced. Breakfast spread was good but badly managed . One big guy looks like a supervisor busy with his social media on smartphone and two girls trying their best to take care of many people but they were not enough . Coffe machine as usual malfunnctioned . He real incident happened on 24th morning , roof of one washroom suddenly fell on my daughter, she was in shock . We run to other room and saw whole roof was about to collapse. It could have been lot worse accident . The reaction from the hotel was slow and indifferent Never experience roof is falling on guest’s head . During check out , reception offered some free cakes from coffe shop as compensation! Such a joke . Its an old run down property , better to avoid . Plenty options in Abu Dhabi . .

Andrei1001 (10/5): One of the Best Hotel and Staycation - We stayed in their Two-Bedroom Apartment for 5 days and 4 nights. We were upgraded and we loved it. The front desk staff Rokeya, Mavzoona and Murali are very friendly, acommodating and approachable. We also appreciate the Sales Executive, she is very friendly as well. The service is excellent. Hotel facilities are great. Very good location, many nearby stores. We would like to commend the housekeeping although there were few times of delay, we understood the situation. The concierge is helpful too. For sure, we will come back and book our next stay soon.

I am really impressed with the quality of service such as from Reception to the R-floor (Rooftop), I found all the staff very cooperative and welcoming. Both day & night shift staff are very responsible. Special Thanks to Mr. NASIR RAHIM, a gentleman. He is very humble and helpful. He made our bookings and stay stressfree and comfortable. Mr. Nasir is very professional. The studio which I booked was spacious and maintained so well with fully equipped with all the essentials. Utensils are all clean and ready to use, location is convenient and it was a great experience overall. I highly recommend this Grand Mercure hotel if you are looking for comfort, cleanliness, services and exceptional hospitality.

Manu_Eljay (10/5): Excellent 1BR Stay - We recently stayed at this hotel in 1BR, It was one of the best stay in Abu Dhabi for us. The rooms was spacious, clean with modern amenities. The bed was very comfortable, 2 TVs and the high standard of housekeeping maintained throughout my visit. Great view from Gym and roof top swimming pool. Location-wise, the hotel is perfectly situated with easy access to key parts of the city. Whether you're staying for business or leisure, it provides a convenient base. This was a pleasent experience and hotel staff is very courteous.

jessinthag (10/5): Home away from home. - This hotel is home away from home for us whenever we are here. We visit Abu Dhabi 3 times a year n this is our go to place to stay. This is our 2nd trip for this year. We were here in January. The rooms are clean n comfortable, even the bed n pillows are comfortable to sleep on. The staff from reception right to buffet bfast, room service n house keeping are just great. HK staff Mr Vincent, took care of our room in January n occassionally this trip. I was so happy to see him when he knocked on my roomdoor the 1st day. He remembered us very well. Always making sure our room is clean n tidy. A warm n friendly person, always making us feel at home. Location is really great as many restaurants n eateries near by. Keep up the good work, Grand Mercure.

MJD013 (10/5): We loved this place! Excellent service and a good location - We had booked a one bedroom apartment, and they upgraded us to a two bedroom apartment thanks to our Accor Platinum status. The apartment was lovely; it felt just like a home, large comfortable rooms, spacious lounge/dining area, convenient kitchen, lots of wardrobe/storage space. Ideal for someone who might stay for a few weeks or more. We had a few questions about the washing machine, and lights (so difficult to find the switches); and someone was knocking at the door within 5 min of making the request. Excellent service. Location-wise, this is close to many shops and restaurants. But not close to the tourist sites like the Louvre, Ferrari world, or the Grand Mosque. For all of that, there is always Uber or taxis!
LaurentHo13 (4/5): Disappointing room and service - We stayed for one night in this hotel and we found the room ageing although our one bedroom suite was spacious. The cleanliness of the room was not perfect. The worst part was actually the breakfast. The staff was completely overwhelmed and the service was poor. The orange juice machine was jammed, crockery was missing, could not find cups… Not a great experience.

imingc2023 (10/5): Fantastic hotel and staff - We stayed 4 nights. I accidentally slipped late at night and the hotel reception staff (Mr. Slim) quickly came to my aid. Their kindness and customer service was truly amazing. I will never forget it. The double suite rooms were large, clean and had great kitchen facilities. The concierge staff were helpful whenever we needed assistance. Thanks so much on behalf of our family.

The two-room suite we had booked was excellent and had everything we needed. The location is convenient , and is close to many restaurants/shops. The lady from the gift shop also gave my little baby a balloon to play with, and it brought such joy to my little one. Everyone greets you with a smile. I would definitely stay here again.

It was actually a full 1 bedroom apartment...which i was not expecting. The hotel and the staff was amazing, friendly, and welcoming. They have a rooftop buffet restaurant which had an amazing breakfast spread.

The staff was excellent, very good service, especially Evgenia at the reception, very friendly and nice person! But this time we were very surprised and upset by the service, guests relation, the receptionist Inga, who met us at the reception was absolutely disrespectful, with a stone face, not welcoming, without smile, noticing to us that she usually does an upgrade, but now it is impossible with a very dissatisfied look, why does this need to be emphasized to the face guests if it is not possible, it is absolutely unprofessional. I have been working in the hospitality for more than 15 years and have never seen such an attitude towards meeting guests. We were greeted as if we had offended or upset her!

mochaelh2023 (8/5): Great Staff - Due to my job I spend over 9 months a year in hotels all over the world. The staff at this hotel is one of the best I have encountered. I would like to thank Amin for helping me and my crew make the reservations. Next I would like to thank The beautiful Russian, Mrs. Morocco and Angela Jolie for meeting ALL our needs at the reception desk. I really appreciate Jean and all of the housekeeping staff. Most of all Iman and her kitchen staff Sam, Mrs. Ethiopia and Mrs. Filipino did a great job every morning with breakfast. I would also like to apologize to the bell boys for working them so hard.

markaK8991VS (4/5): Very tired room - Has a really good stay in the hotel 6 weeks back so decided I’d stay again. This time it’s been very nothing like as good as last time. Starting with surly reception staff through to a very tired room- filthy and worn carpet, bath towels that have holes, light switches that don’t seem to turn lights on or off. To top it off I reported a soap dispenser in the bathroom that didn’t work to the same surly receptionist and they didn’t bother repairing it. Very disappointing.

It is appartment hotel so you will have all the kitchenware and you feel like at home :) Cannot say anything about breakfast as I did not take that option.
Jeanette (8/5): Good but won’t stay again. - Upgraded room but in smoking floor when requested non smoking but room actually didn’t smell of smoke so ok. Gorgeous room excellent facilities but the maid service let it down badly constantly had to request towels as non left until 5 days in a new gig assigned to the room and was fabulous. Room service was a disaster ordered from menu asked for meal with no cheese it came waiter said no cheese opened it and there was cheese so rang to be told there is no cheese in it!!! Came to collect it and yes there’s cheese! Spoke to manager he was apologetic offered late checkout which we had already sorted but he extended it so all in all a pleasant stay. Just need to tighten up on the maid service. It lets it down. Also need to register that sorry means nothing do something about it rather than just lip service!

Upon check-in, i was also informed that the pool is closed for an "emergency maintenance" which was disappointing. The staff supervisor suggested to cancel my booking and go somewhere else, which i found it rude. But when she checked and learned that i booked months in advance, she turned around and gave us a complementary free of charge late check-out and extra cot..and that was nice and the right move. Other than that, the rest of our stay went smoothly and the rest of the staff were great and heplful.

Sami (10/5): Friendly staff, great room and very nice breakfast - We had a great stay! We were travelling with our 6 month old baby and everyone loved him. Concierge, reception and everyone else we met around the hotel were especially friendly and helpful. We had dinner at the hotel on one of our two nights, it was a buffet with a wide selection of things to have, all very good. Breakfast was really good and we loved the fresh orange juice. The hotel provided a high chair in the restaurant and a cot for our room. The cot was reasonable, but looked very old and tattered, it did the job though. The pool area looked very nice, unfortunately we didn't get a chance to make use of it as our stay here was quite short. It's on the rooftop with some nice views and is sheltered from the sun and wind. The local area is great with a few restaurants within walking distance and Abu Dhabi Mall just around the corner. Overall a very lovely stay and thank you to all the staff for making it so enjoyable!
Verified traveler (10/5): - This was a perfect place for us to stay. The room and entire hotel was spotless. It was located close to our relatives we were visiting. The entire hotel staff had smiles on their faces. Though we ate there only a few times, the restaurant at the top of the hotel was splendid. All in all, it was an excellent stay. If I'm every in Abu Dhabi again, I will certainly stay here again and I can highly recommend this hotel to others. Diane (8/5): Great hotel in the center of the city - We asked for a 3 bed room and ended up with a suite of 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, a kitchen, and a lovely big living room. Lots of electronic outlets. 3 tvs. A safe. Huge bedroom and living room. Beds were a bit hard but the pillows were comfortable. We didn’t use the pool but it looked lovely. We ate at the hotel restaurant and the bill was pretty reasonable with huge portions! Lovely hotel.

Michael (10/5): Lovely stay at the hotel,friendly, helpful staff - We arrived off a very full and long flight from New York. The Reception staff were, very efficient friendly and helpful. We were shown to our room, which was on the 13th floor. The room was spacious, and beautifully furnished. Were were unfortunately in transit only, so the trip was rushed and we got to see none of the attractions. We would certainly recommend this lovely hotel.
Stephen (10/5): City hotel not a resort but good - The hotel is showing its age in some areas but having said that, it is still a wonderful place to stay. We had to have room service breakfast because it was a friday and we had to leave by 7 am and the hotel only supplies brunch from late morning as it is a day off for the locals. The breakfast was very average so we hit the Etihad lounge for a top up. The staff were exceptionally polite and very helpful and the coffee in the foyer was very good. Walking around the area at night is an experience as the lighting is not so good and the footpaths are in desperate need of attention. If you don't like mixing with locals then a resort hotel might be to your liking.

Nitesh (10/5): Excellent Property to stay - Had stayed here for 4 nights, everything from check in to check out was perfect, the staff here are very courteous and helpful, the rooms are extremely spacious and comfortable, every details of things that is required is there in the room including a complete kitchen. The hotel location is very central and there are good quality hotels also located near by and a mini supermarket is just adjourning the hotel building, Overall we had a very pleasurable stay, thank you all.
John (6/5): Mediocre Hotel, Terrible Management - The best: spacious and clean room. The worst: the human interfaces: slow, bureaucratic check in and out, creepily invasive KYC, incredibly offensive body odor in most personnel, bossy, irrational management.

Daniel (8/5): Great option for cab riders - Great newish hotel. Very clean. Kitchen was nice. Checked in early and got a nice upgrade. Pool was closed for maintenance. My huge room was quiet with a good view. Walking area around the hotel is not scenic or convenient by any means. It is close to the airport.
Cheryl (10/5): The Majlis Grand Mercure is a Grand Residence - Our 5-night stay was wonderful! The hotel was centrally located for all our needs...including our New Year's Eve festivities. The staff was attentive and very professional. I especially liked the fully-equipped kitchenette in the room... we made good use of it and were able to eat-in a couple nights. What a savings!! Overall, everything was lovely. For our next visit to Abu Dhabi, we plan to make reservations again at the Majlis Grand Mercure Residence.

Jeremy (8/5): Very comfortable! - This is a fairly new hotel with very spacious and well-equipped rooms. The staff were very attentive and check in and out were quick and courteous. My one gripe with the hotel was the breakfast. I arrived around 7am on a weekday, so it should have been a fairly busy time. There was a very limited selection of hot food in the buffet, but a station to get a fresh omelette - great, but nobody to cook it! I asked one of the staff and she phoned for the cook. About 10 minutes later he arrived! In the meantime I tried other breakfast choices and it was generally poor. The baked beans in particular were thin and watery. Not good enough for a 5-star hotel.

Verified traveler (10/5): Family suite perfect for us - Perfect for us as a family of 5. Kids loved it and having separate room for two (with one in the fold down lounge bed) was ideal to keep an eye on them. Nothing too much trouble for staff and a real classy treat
Verified traveler (10/5): Great size, new hotel, expensive breakfast. - This hotel is pretty new as many taxi driver had to double check their address. 4 of us booked the 2BR apartment and it was huge. 1 room came with king bed and ensuite and 2nd room came with 2 twin beds with an additional bathroom in the common area. The location however is a bit secluded from restaurants and shopping, You will need to get a taxi to go anywhere. Breakfast was overpriced @ 110AED or $30USD per person. There were not many selections. Personally I wouldn't even pay $10USD for it. Aside from that..the hotel were clean and the staff were helpful and friendly. I will consider next time in Abu Dhabi
S D. (10/5): Great 2 bedroom suite - My stay was great however, the down side is that the hotel asked me to wait till 5pm to get my non-smoking suite.
Amjed (6/5): Family vacation - Actually it not suitable for 4 star hotel I rate it as 2 star only , the one how open door is the same person how carrying luggages , conserge services and many other jobs, A lot of things need to be reevaluated in this hotel
Anthony (8/5): Value for money in the middle of Abu Dhabi - The two bedroom apartment was very comfortable. We were able to do some self catering, however had to ask for extra crockery and cutlery, which was odd as there were three people booked to stay. There is a small supermarket next door, however best to get your supplies from the CoOp at the Abu Dhabi Mall ( take a taxi...which by the way are good value and plentiful). Be warned that there is no alcohol available on site, you must purchase it from a special shop a few blocks away...not ideal in 45+ degree heat! It is only to be consumed in your room, not by the pool, which is way to hot to swim in anyway. Also note that the shop in the foyer La Brioche is a chain that sells very expensive coffee and the bill can't be charged to your room. Despite these minor drawbacks the staff were very pleasant and helpful as they could be.
mill (8/5): Good location at Abu Dhabi downtown - Very reasonable price for two nights. Friendly staff. Hotel looks old but clean room. I enjoyed stay and I would recommend it to friends.
