Guest Reviews
- Guest (5/5): - Cleanliness was good Evening staff not very friendly & no hot water to shower with
- Maria (5/5): Overall, a safe place to stay. - The location was perfect. The heavy drapes would not close. One of the parking lot light post streaked its light right onto my face when lying on bed.
- Veronica (8/5): - Staff was super helpful
- Valencia (10/5): Exceptional. - Everything was exceptional. There was nothing to dislike.
- alessandro (8/5): Exvellent but should be transparent on pool not available ! - Clean place and friendly staff No pool available … disappointing
- Severson (1/5): -
- Racael (10/5): -
- Jennifer (8/5): - Very helpful and friendly staff. Location was convenient.
- Esperanza (10/5): -
- Samuel Botbol (9/5): - The room was nice, the lobby was clean, parking was easy, and the location was great. One downside was that a late check-out wasn’t available, not even for 30 minutes, even when I was willing to pay, which would have made the stay even better.
- sarahgH4144BD (2/5): Horrible - Right when we came in, no one was in the front and we rang the bell twice and it took 20 minutes for someone to arrive and get us checked in. Also, it’s March in Texas and the pool is not even up and running for our boys to use. I wish we would have known that when booking.
- Kelley (10/5): Overall, I feel this is the perfect stay with easy access to all of your needs, great location. - Breakfast was good, and the location was excellent, easy access to restaurants Walmart and HEB. I feel a few more things could be added to the breakfast menu. like potatoes, turkey bacon or turkey sausage,
- Alisa (10/5): Clean, quiet, ac worked great, nice breakfast and lemon water. - It was clean, quiet, and welcoming. Parking spaces limited, and most parking spots occupied with big trucks. Compact car spaces would be ideal for this and maybe a bigger parking lot as well.
There was some construction going on with the hotel, which I understand construction is needed for improvements with a business.
We didn’t really care for the fact that you can’t close the curtains in your room. Pretty much all hotels you can close your curtains so this was a little frustrating.
The pillows on the bed were pretty stiff too but other than that everything else was wonderful.
- 393phyllise (8/5): A few ups and downs. Thank you Hilton! - The location was in town easy access and we are Hilton reward members and this membership gets you discounts on stays at their hotels we live the rewards! The hotels atmosphere was nice appon ariving. On the 3rd floor our room was on the back side of the hotel were comfortable, cool and quiet. But... there was an odor of something stale in the bathroom. Not knowing what it' might be thinking it's an old hotel. We checked in 2 rooms for 2 nights. The next morning the breakfast bar was very fresh full and tasted very good. There are these plush (looking) hint on looking, high king back dinning chairs at tables and may I say they need to be repaired. There is no cushion is left in them these are upholstery. There is seating at high tables with bar chairs and low tables with smaller better chairs that are the better option for dinning there. We went out for the day. When arriving back into our room we still smell that odor coming from the bathroom. After visiting the pool area outside on the back side of the property where it is more private that is what i liked but in a winter month of February the pool had been drained understandably... it was 90 deg. that day. Texas weather you have to love it!' I noticed rhe lounging chairs were in such bad shap they should just throw them away. After arriving back to my room and showering I reached for the hair drier that was under the the sink it was soaking wet! This area was a open cabnet shelf shelf and it was soaked with an older water leak dripping from the water pipes still. That cabnet shelf would have to be replaced or you will never get that smell out of that bathroom. Well that's it the smell ! We called and reported this to the front desk and she reported it to maintenance . We were offered a new room. We want to thank the Hospitality team for always being so kind, professional and helping us with all of our questions and needs including the hotel laundry room (hiccup) LOL I had with my credit card. Gonzales is my family's home for the past 200 years. We are proud to call it the home of COME AND TAKE IT!
- Katie (6/5): - The location was excellent and the staff was friendly. The beds were so hard it made it comfortable to sleep at times. Also, we needed to use the dryer and both the washer and dryer were out of order.
- rlm869 (10/5): Clean and comfortable - Very clean and comfortable stay. Despite being close to the elevator, I did not hear people coming and going. The room is a good size so you can separate work from sleep.

- Hughes180 (6/5): Good value, safe environment, and basic breakfast, typical La Quinta hotel amenities. - Everything was good, clean, and was satisfactory with the room. On check in there was no one at the front desk, had to wait, but wasn't long. The breakfast was typical of a La Quinta and was exactly what I expected. Felt safe in the hotel and the parking lot, which was well lit. Value was fair compared with others in area. Had an issue with the Wi-Fi, couldn't log in. They didn't know what to do and couldn't help. Only there one night but still an inconvenience.
- Walter (10/5): Staff was excellent. Breakfast was great. Very clean - Well maintained Nothing

- lajoyas2025 (2/5): Don't waste your money - Roaches, kids allowed to run and yell until almost 2 am, horrible customer service at night on weekend. We hurry up and left soon as we could the next morning
- 858prashantu (10/5): Stay in La Quinta, Gonzalez. - We had a great stay. Online check in was helpful to cut short any need for documentation at the front desk. Staff were very friendly. Room was serviced every morning. Our room was spacious and clean. Every thing worked. Location is close to downtown.

Her service was fast and very friendly. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. Three buses full of teenagers arrived soon after we got there, I figured I'd get no sleep but the lady at the front desk was thoughtful enough to book us at the end of the hallway away from them. Thank you for thinking ahead.
- joannebX7063MU (10/5): Nice place in a small town. - This place was spotless. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Gave us good selection for restaurant. Room was very comfortable and dog-friendly. Breakfast nice too. Would return if in the area. Town has a real interesting history.

- pauljI4090ZJ (2/5): I wish it was better - I booked with Wyndham La Quinta for a trip to Gonzales Texas. We weren't looking for anything fancy just a clean quiet safe place to stay a couple of nights. Upon check in on July 31st we went to room 108 and found several large floor fans running at top speed. Not sure why we went into the room and immediately found the carpet wet. Okay I thought maybe they just cleaned it. Walking further into the room we noticed the carpet was not just damp but water soaked about halfway in. It was the worst on the outside wall. I am a commercial facility Operations Director at a large retreat type commercial property. I figured it was the wall AC unit drain backed up or leaking and that's where the water was coming from. Sure, enough I took a look and yes that was it. Not too crazy about the wet floor. You couldn't walk anywhere without shoes. You couldn't leave a bag or anything on the floor. I went to the front desk and spoke with the nice lady at check in. She did advise yes there "was" a leak but it was "fixed" so if I could leave the fans running it would dry out. I thought okay I know what they are dealing with, so I'll play along. We were going to be out all evening anyway so what is the harm in letting the fans dry it out. That was 3 pm. We came back around 10 pm and the floor was in worse shape than before. The AC was still leaking at the drain. I wanted to change rooms and went back up front and spoke to a different young lady about that. She advised they could not swap rooms that late in the day. She asked to leave the Fans running and surely it would dry out by morning. We decided we were stuck so make the best of it. At least the AC was working with outside 90+ heat. Sorry to say the fans were too loud to leave running on high all night so I set them on 1 "low". Morning came and around 9 am nothing had changed. We decided to leave the fans running and come back around lunch time. We were out until 2 pm. When we returned that floor was much wetter than before. The moldy wet smell was also pretty bad. Okay wife and I had enough so we packed our bags and went to the front desk. No rooms available. Okay we will look elsewhere. I did not ask for a refund on my room for the day since it was 2 pm. but I had hoped they would do the right thing. The girl at the desk went behind the wall asked her boss or whoever was sitting there and was told "no refund" on the room for the hours we were there with a soaked floor from 11 am check out to 2 pm. Okay I thanked them and left. Got on the phone and found another room and moved on. Sure, wish they would have done the right thing for the day since we had already put up with more than should be expected. I wish this review was different. I have never written a negative review but feel it necessary today. Will avoid La Qunita from now on.

- Lacy (8/5): Just okay if you’re not going to be there much. - Breakfast was not that good and the breakfast workers were not helpful or responsive to needs. We got stuck in the elevator where the fire department had to get us out. Rooms are very small.
