- Joanne (9/5): Good Aussie value - Value for money large room and really cool garden vista much better that relaxing in a concrete box after a day out. Owners are cool and friendly, it’s clean and has good linen and a proper mug for your cuppa. Dog friendly place as well which is great for tourism. The road out the front is busy so if that’s not your thing you might be unhappy.

Whilst it was on a busy intersection, access and egress were quite easy. The bed was quite comfortable, although the mattress was a little too soft for me (male partner). More lighting on the walls to allow to sit and read. Apart from two bedside lamps, there was only one central light on the ceiling.

From the outside the motel looks not old, but dated, but dont be fooled by appearances. The rooms are large, the bed comfortable and lovely linen, the towels are awesome and all the facilities you could need for short or long stay. Close to shops and other amenities. It is and older motel with some dating, but absolutely spotless and clean.

It could have been a disaster for us arriving when two major events were on in town. - The owner was exceptionally helpful when we arrived to find that Booking.com had not passed on our booking, hence the room we had booked was not available, despite receiving 5 emails from them between booking and arrival. The motel was fully booked apart from a spa room which we were offered and took. Fortunately it worked out okay for us, but the shower was over the spa so it may not have suited a different demographic. Nothing. It was well priced for what it was.

Rooms were spacious and comfortable and not a complaint from 9 people, even Mum who normally complains about everything. Supermarket and bakery across the road. Glorious pool, very swimmable in late March, even for a cold water wuss like me. Enjoyable stay.

- Lyn (1/5): Nightmare stay with no sleep - The bed, TV and shower were ok. Worst motel stay ever! We knew it was a cheap motel and didn't expect a lot, but the photos on the website were clearly old. Most uncomfortably, the old, sheer curtain in the full length frosted window in the bathroom was probably the worst part of the actual room. We felt like we had been put in an old room (a message from staff the next day to ask if we had complaints to take them to them indicated they were expecting them). Pretty sure the people next door were long term renters. We stayed a Saturday night and they were loud, yelling obscenities at one another, sounded like vomiting in the garden and a general nightmare to be next door to until we left at 4am (no sleep). To be fair we didn't bother to complain - we were too concerned about any follow up aggression to bother.

A big plus for me is the pet friendly status and the supermarket and shops just over the road 200 m away. Nice pool area to sit and have drinks. - 302paulineh (10/5): Wonderful stay yet again. - There is nothing negative I can say about the River Country Inn, every stay has been brilliant, from a very warm welcome to our departure. The rooms are spotless and very comfortable, lots of rooms also have a lovely view over the pool and it’s surroundings. We travel with our dogs and the motel is very close, walking distance, to a brilliant dog park and right across the road is a big Woolworths. It’s a short drive to Echuca and the attractions of the Murray. My opinion is this motel is value for money especially considering how conveniently placed it is. Thanks to the lovely owners and on this occasion Debbie, brilliant stay and you’ll see us again.

Staff did look on cameras for footage of our break in however unable to help any further We had our 4wd parked outside our room and one night had the spotlights and floodlights stolen off our car during the night . The hotel did not have cameras pointing directly at our room so was not able to gain footage .

The inner garden is like an oasis, complete with pool and plenty of seating, bbq area etc. It is in walking distance to Moama pubs that are dog friendly. Opposite supermarket and bottle shop. Beds were super comfortable and clean. Pet surcharge was lower than other places. While near a main road, the noise levels were quite acceptable as all rooms look into the large inner garden area. Jon was really helpful and welcoming. We will definitely be staying here again.
