• David (7/5): Good location, practical value for money, would return. - Location was good, kitchenette idea was good Kitchenette would have benefited from some lightning above the cooking area or opened up somehow. The dressing table wasn’t practical, you couldn’t open the drawer lid to access the mirror because it was blocked with the tv mounted above. Plus electric points too far away from dressing table , mirror hence it makes getting ready frustrating.

• Goochie19 (9/5): Perfect for a short stay in Newcastle. - The apartment is in an excellent location with everything you need for a comfortable stay in Newcastle. The security is great with a key code on the front door. The little kitchen cupboard is fine with a small fridge that kept everything very cold, though a little cooking oil, and salt and pepper would have been handy. The beds and linen were very comfortable, and we slept extremely well. There was plenty of hot water to supply the bath with shower over, and the water pressure was excellent. The only little niggles were that the sofa and chairs in the lounge weren't very comfortable, and the cabinets around all the good-sized TVs prevented plugging in any devices with which to watch streaming services, though being so close to the city, we didn't have much time to lounge and watch TV. I can recommend a fabulous little pub called The Carriage and the Indian restaurant next to it, all just two minutes walk away.

There was no remote for the TV in the bedroom and some tiles were missing under the sink.... None of which were an issue, but tarnished the experience of a really top quality stay

Breakfast was good in the adjoining hotel and the staff were friendly and informative A strange smell of burnt bacon when we arrived but opened the windows for a while and it disappeared. • Bianca (5/5): Aparthotel dat nodig onderhoud nodig heeft - Locatie, parkeren. Niet schoon, overal nog vette handafdrukken vd vorige bezoekers, veel mankementen in dit appartement. Het rook er niet fris, smerige wasemkap, gammele keuken, lampjes werken niet. Menukaartomslag zo vet als spek. Info op.Booking klopt niet geheel met indeling. De bediening vd airco/verwarming is een vraagteken... Zelf koken raden we af, het is een 2 pit en zit weggewerkt zodat je er nauwelijks bij kan. Na een lange rit wachtte ons een onvriendelijke ontvangst bij receptie Holiday Inn - omdat we de auto verkeerd hadden neergezet begon de dame meteen daarover. Eh...waar moesten we dan staan? Was niet gemeld / bekend?! Het was een koude douche na 9 dagen Schotland, waar mensen vriendelijk zijn. Heb melding gemaakt van onze ervaring en bevindingen bij receptie en supervisor. Een positief punt, om dan toch iets te noemen: locatie is perfect, koffie, thee, chocopoeder, melk, suiker en paar koekjes staan klaar. Theedoek aanwezig, 2 vaatwasblokjes. Magnetron goed bereikbaar.

• Leila (7/5): Pleasant but needs hygiene improvement - The bathroom facilities were good. Clean beddings. It was close to Northumbria University. The fridge was not cold enough and it smelled and the dishwasher was a disaster and it has health hazard. It smelled horrible like a smell of a corpse and it was unbearable. On the advert says hard flooring but mostly was carpeted and I chose this place because I have allergy to the carpet. It was on the main road and it wasn’t peaceful at night. It was on the top floor while the receptionist said it was on the first floor. I wouldn’t recommend to someone who has mobility issue at all.

As for location a 2 minute walk to nearest metro station and anywhere you want to go or 15 minute walk to city centre "perfect location" I stayed with my daughter and sofa bed was not the best and had to make-up myself even though I put in the notes it was required.!

Only thing wrong was the sound of the aircon/generator that went off every 40mins in the ceiling with a big bang it kept me awake as it kept making my dog get up, very very loud. Please check this out as i wouldnt stay here again because of it.

• Tanja (5/5): Hinsichtlich Preis-Leistung OK für 2 Nächte. - Das Personal ist sehr nett. Straßenlärm hatten wir nicht. Das Zimmer ist schon ein wenige abgerockt. Abgestoßene Ecken, eingerissene Tapete … im ersten Zimmer war direkt hinter unseren Bett außen die Klimaanlage, welche sehr laut war. Wir haben darauf hingewiesen und ein neues Zimmer bekommen. Die Zimmer sind im Erdgeschoss und eher dunkel.

• Matt (10/5): Our favourite place we've stayed in Newcastle. Affordable, clean and spacious apartments. - The apartment exceeded our expectations. It was clean, spacious and quiet. The location was fantastic! A two-minute walk from Jesmond metro station. We couldn't recommend 91 Aparthotel more. Great value for money and would love to stay again if affordable. Towels are a little on the small side and could do with some hand gel in the bathroom, but I'm nitpicking at this point. Netflix or any of the streaming services didn't work on either of the TV's we had too.

• Nadine (9/5): Great value accommodation for short stays in Newcastle. - We are repeat customers who have stayed at the Aparthotel several times. The location is very convenient, right next to Jesmond Metro, and it is great to have cooking facilities, though these can be hit and miss - this time we had two good-sized saucepans and a frying pan, but the single lid was too small to fit any of the pots! The staff at Holiday Inn reception are really helpful if you have any queries. The decor is a bit faded and worn, though perfectly serviceable. We didn't need to use the parking this time, but be aware that some of the spaces are very tight.

The heating/air conditioning makes a heavy thumbing noise so when trying to sleep its very loud so took some time to get used to it. someone to check the utensils etc in kitchen as 1 teaspoon was not ideal.
• Sarah (4/5): Disappointing! Our stay last year was much better. - The idea of the apartment is great. We were able to source our own meals and had space to relax in the evening. The location of the apartment was at the front of the building and over the main entrance. The road noise was unavoidable but annoying. I am not sure if it was the front door of the building we could hear slamming all night, or a door in another apartment. Both nights were quite disturbed. The furniture had stains on it, the fitted sheet on the sofa bed also had a stain on it, and so we chose not to use it. The kitchen unit is in need of replacement or painting as it is old and worn, the kettle didn't turn off, and the dishwasher was out of order. The nets up at the window have come off the track and have been left. In all, the apartment looked tired and in need of freshening up. We checked out at 8 am on a Sunday, long before we needed to be checked out. After leaving, I realised I had left an item of clothing in the wardrobe, a low-value item, but it was left in the wardrobe. I called at the hotel at 9.30 to let them know I had left an item behind. Initial contact from the hotel suggested I would need to send prepaid postage to have my item sent back, except the item has vanished, and housekeeping has not found it, despite apparently many checks of the room. Had a member of staff checked when I called, they would have found the item of clothing in the wardrobe. I suspect it has been disposed of, and not much care that I have lost an item of clothing.

Dirty net curtains. Around the bath needs upgrading. The third floor stairway ceiling water stains looking very stained.

The kitchen is very difficult to cook in, but it is space-saving and I still appreciated having one. A few things that were broken and needed attention. But I still enjoyed the apartment.

• Sandersová (7/5): Still snd overall good value for money. - Very friendly and helpful staff, convenient location close to the Metro and Haymarket. Regularly cleaned studios. A tiny studio - much smaller than photographs show. Two people will have a problem to heat a meal and eat it together because our studio had just a miniscule coffee table. A broken shower holder and kitchen cupboard door falling off the hinge on top of this. The shower gel and shampoo dispensers were blocked.

• Vernon (3/5): Extremely grubby apartment. Definitely the dirtiest accommodation I have ever stayed in. - Having a separate bedroom and lounge. Having the use of the kitchen facility The apartment was very grubby. The chairs in the lounge and kitchen areas were very stained and dirty and the two in the lounge were very uncomfortable. The sofa bed was very grubby and had rubbish and cereal inside it when opened out to sleep on. The kitchenette facility was annoying to try and cook on as it was within one large unit and was too small. The cupboard doors on it were very worn. There could have been more work surface in the kitchen area. The bin in the kitchen was all battered and difficult to open. The carpet in the lounge was filthy dirty with food trodden into it. The air conditioning didn't work in the lounge. The interior window frames in the lounge were dirty. The bathroom floor tiles had a lot of grout missing between them. There was mold in the sealant around the bath. There was a large whole visible under the bathroom sink. There was a terrible smell of cigarette smoke on one of the days we were there. I think this was coming in through the air conditioning in the bedroom. There was no lift up to the apartment we were in on the second floor, which I hadn't seen mentioned in the description of the accomodation. The carpets on the stairs were dirty and there was some rubbish on the landing.

• Catherine (7/5): Comfortable if a bit cold and dark - It was good to have the facilties of a studio apartment but with the facilities of a hotel also on hand The studio was quite cold and dark difficult to heat with the air conditioning stystem. The floor was very cold under foot, even the section with the carpet (it was a groundfloor apartment), and as the apartment is at the back of the building the sun doesn't get into the room. My request for an extra duvet was quickly actioned though - thank you. It would be good to have a desk lamp for the desk, and the kitchenette unit is also very dark. Otherwise, a comfortable stay.

Parking directly outside the apartment The apartment we stayed in was 912, there was a lot of noise from hvac units on the outside rear wall back to back with the bed. This noise was continuous 24 hours a day. The heating in the apartment did not heat the side of the room where the bed is situated. Very cold.

• Abby (10/5): Good apartment for a weekend stay in a great location - Great location, good space and amenities. Worked well for a short stay. The smaller shower head is at a really awkward angle and doesnt adjust. The pillows weren’t very comfortable.

• Tori (8/5): - The apartment was a fantastic size, with high ceilings, bay windows, large sofa and excellent decorative design. I especially love the brick feature wall in the living room and feature free standing tall lamp. The best item in the apartment was the bed, super king-size and extremely comfortable. I experience insomnia but slept through the night every day. I also appreciated the daily cleaning service. Oh and the heated towel rail and water pressure was a joy. The thing that let it down was the 'kitchen' as it wasn't a kitchen but rather a cupboard. Small hob, dishwasher was out of order and there wasnt an oven, no kitchen knives or pots and pans. We had to buy a knife set for food prep but couldn't cook anything. On top of this and arguably the biggest issue was the fact the refrigerator was a hotel mini fridge. Not big enough to hold any decent amount of food and it was quite warm so protein and daily perished quickly meaning we threw out any precooked meals our first day and lived on stottie bread and cold cuts. As a geordie I was thrilled to be eating stottie, having moved to the south at 21 years old but I really needed fresh salad or veggies by day three.Finally the over head shower head was too central so water went everywhere given the glass shower guard ony covered 60 % of the bath/,shower. 😑 Despite these issues it was a great few days
• Thomas (3/5): Fine, but not good - Close to metro, excellent and helpful staff Building whistles when it’s windy, light is let into the windows as curtains are mounted incorrectly, things didn’t work, given two teeny pillows, can hear the neighbours

• Lisa (8/5): - Large room with a nice, roomy bath. The staff was really friendly and quick to help out. Changing the temperature in the room via the installed system actually worked nicely (these often do not work, from my experience). The only window in the room was quite high up, so it was a wee bit acrobatic to open it.
• Sian (8/5): - Excellent value for money, lovely apartment close to the city centre. The kitchenette was a little tired. The only fault I could think of.

• Sascha (6/5): - Die Lage war OK. Kein Fahrstuhl, Betten waren OK. Aber das dritte Bett die Schlafcouch war eine Katastrophe.... Auch waren diese Bettlagen nicht 100% weiß.... Nicht zu empfehlen....

• Payge (10/5): Very enjoyable and would go back for sure - It was great location, very spacey and clean! We set the fire alarm off due to the shower extractor fan not working and we couldn’t get it off for a while and then was instructed to keep the door shut which is fine but it made the whole bathroom soaking on the surfaces due to condensation
• Jill (8/5): Good value for money but could be better - It was good to have the lounge area The daily service was inconsistent. 1st day no decaf coffee topped up but given biscuits and bed made up. 2nd day 1 sachet of decaf coffee, bed not made and 1 towel replaced even though all 3 were on the towel rail. Wifi log on would not work.
• Kevin (8/5): - Location and extra sofa bed for 3rd person with kitchen facilities, and fridge with freezer box for ice too. No access to TV hdmi port, so didn't really use the TV in either of the rooms.
• Grace (8/5): Great location, everything you need for a weekend stay. - Great location, easy to walk into the centre, close to local transport links if needed. Free parking, everything you need for a stay was included in the room. The air con had been left on, so the room was cold on arrival.

• Becky (6/5): Poor value for money - served its purpose - - Location was great. Staff at the holiday inn hotel were attentive, check in was fast. - The room was generally grubby. A bedside table was broken, chairs were stained, carpets were dirty, you couldnt lift the mirror in the vanity as it hit the TV, no sockets anywhere near mirrors. Apartment was up 4 sets of stairs, no lift.
