The room was clean and the bed and linens were SO comfortable. It snowed a lot while we were there and the staff were busy clearing the walkways and parking lot which was a blessing. - 460virald (10/5): Best hotel in area - Oh man, where do I even begin with The Homestead Inn? From the moment we pulled in, they treated us like family. You can feel the love and care in everything they do. The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable, and the entire place had such a warm, welcoming vibe. Every staff member we met was so kind, patient, and always smiling, ready to help with anything we needed. And then there’s Chris, the manager — hands down one of the kindest people in the entire town. He went above and beyond for us, making sure we were comfortable and happy the whole time. He took the time to tell us where to go, what to do, the best spots to eat, and how to really enjoy the area. We didn’t just feel like guests… we truly felt at home. It’s rare to find a place where people genuinely care about your experience the way they do here. If you’re coming to town and want a place that’s clean, cozy, welcoming, and run by amazing people, The Homestead Inn is the place to stay. We will 100% be coming back.

The inn was so cute. It was decorated for Christmas both inside and outside. The room was spacious, and most importantly clean. The bed was comfortable. Gas fire place was a plus. Large screen TV. Shower / water pressure great.

The decor was charming and well-maintained. Staff were quite friendly at check-in, and we were able to access our rooms early, as they were clean and ready. Parking right in front of our doors! A real plus. I will definitely we returning to the Homestead Inn next time I come to Blowing Rock!

The rooms are cozy and charming, and each room has rocking chairs outside so you can relax and enjoy the mountain air! Because it was our anniversary, I requested one of the baskets offered on the inn's website. I was SO impressed! It had a wide selection of snacks and treats, as well as champagne for the occasion. The Homestead is just off of Main Street and easy walking distance to all of the stores and restaurants in the center of town. We greatly enjoyed it and will be back!

Beds, heating, jacuzzi tub, and comfort were all updated recently. Perfect distance from town center, allowed us to walk there and back quickly. Lovely courtyard and view of mountain side. Clean and comfortable. Absolutely will try and book here again if we come back.

It's our favorite in Blowing Rock so far - and we've stayed at many. We will definitely be returning. Friendly staff, walkimg distance to all things on Main st.

- Q3591TKshannonr (10/5): Fall stay with pups perfection, except potty areas - Enjoyed an extended fall weekend trip with a friend and our pups here. The King Deluxe (#6) was so cozy, comfy and super clean. Nice quality bed linens. Towels can use a refresh but were clean. Loved the gas fireplace & ginormous tv in room, as well as coffee bar and mini fridge. Pulling up to the room made unloading and loading car convenient. Landscaping is beautiful. Staff in the office is friendly. Super convenient and walkable to the main streets of downtown Blowing Rock. My and my friend’s only disappointment, which was considerable with the bad weather we had and for late night trips out with pups, was having to either walk across the street or behind the bldg to an drive with narrow grass strip for our pups to potty. Pups are not allowed in any grassy areas of the courtyard and streets are not grass-lined. And for some reason our 2 small pups were averse to going into the nicer pet area across the street. Both of them preferred to go on street or in gravel instead. Not sure why that was. We did notice the ground was considerably more wet for some reason in gated potty areas, so perhaps that why. Disclosing more info on pet relief options /locations would have been helpful on the website and to know in advance of booking. Otherwise, the Homestead Inn was delightful.

Room was comfy and enjoyed the fireplace. Seemed the walls were a bit thin because you could hear the neighbors decently well. The heater was new and not working properly.

- jamyers2014 (10/5): Wonderful Stay! - As always great stay at The Homestead. Chris went beyond to change my room to cottage day of stay. Due to rain traveling with our dog we needed more room. Chris immediately got us changed to cottage. This is the was our third stay. when we travel to Blowing Rock wouldn’t stay anywhere else. We are comfortably located close to all of our favorite spots and can walk never having to move our vehicle. Thanks we will be back we hope in December our favorite Christmas town.

The place is quaint and has a very hometown feel. I cant imagine staying anywhere else nor would I want to. The Homestead is family run and you can tell as all the staff, starting with Chris go out of their way to make the experience enjoyable and stress free. The property is bursting with the colors of fall with plenty of areas to sit and enjoy and take in the beauty of the property. It certainly added to my experience of Blowing Rock.

The room itself was especially nice with a comfortable bed as well as the fireplace. Parking was convenient and we liked the doggie area for our beagle.

We did have a flickering microwave in Unit 4 but we just unplugged the appliance. The Inn is located in such a central location which makes it so convenient for 90 percent of what you want to do in Blowing Rock

Stunning plants and flowers are everywhere in the beautifully maintained garden, with seating that surrounds a fire pit. The room was clean, cozy, comfortable and quiet. Loved the sheets! Felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. The Inn is pet friendly, so I was able to bring my dog, which was a big plus. Chris, who staffed the reception desk, was very pleasant and helpful. We had a very enjoyable stay!

The gazebo, gas fire pit, grill, porch swings, etc adorn the grounds really well. I also appreciated not seeing skeletons everywhere despite it being a few weeks before Halloween.

We enjoyed walking around the Inn admiring the gorgeous plants, flowers and ponds. A huge plus is the short walking distance to the Main Street of Blowing Rock. The room was sufficient but very small. We chose The Homestead Inn in part because it advertised having a small fridge and microwave oven. We made our breakfasts each morning, but there was no room to sit down together. Other than that, a very good stay.

Family owned and operated leading to personal attention and help should there be any issues, which are very rare. Accommodations are always immaculate. The gardens right outside your door will take your breath away! Location can't be beat. Quiet, pristine, dog-friendly, and right around the corner from downtown.

The room was cozy, spacious, and the beds were very comfortable, perfect for a relaxing mountain getaway. Having our own dedicated parking spot right outside the cottage was a huge plus. The only downside was that everything inside felt damp; adding a dehumidifier or some DampRid would make a big difference. Still, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return!

The grounds are beautiful and there is plenty of outdoor seating. Each room has two rocking chairs in front, which is nice. The staff is very attentive and friendly. And there is a free charger for your EV!

We always enjoy the lovely gardens and the genuine hospitality of the Valet family. We can walk to all the colorful activity on Main Street, the city parks and even a woodland trail with a waterfall.

They gave me the same room that I had two years ago and it was still a great room. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great. The best thing about it was the location. It was just a half block from Main Street, so you could just park the car and walk wherever you wanted at go.
- shawnmQ6700LR (10/5): A charming, friendly, and well run inn! - We stayed at Homestead Inn for the first time and had a lovely experience. The family who owns the inn were so friendly and welcoming that we knew we would have a good experience as soon as we got there. The inn is charming and well maintained, and our room was clean, cozy, and nicely decorated. We enjoyed sitting on the outdoor swing and appreciating the gardens, and it was so convenient to be able to walk only half a block to the downtown area. We look forward to staying here again!

Owners are very friendly and helpful too. There are plenty of places to relax on the property too. Will definitely stay here again!

- hholland25 (10/5): Cute! Cozy! Clean! - Place is super cute and cozy. Room was clean and perfect size for a weekend getaway. Bathroom was very clean and shower had great water pressure. Office attendant was friendly and welcoming. We stay in Blowing Rock at least once a month and only stay in family owned establishments. We will be returning to The Homestead Inn.

We parked our car when we arrived and didn't get back in it until it was time to head home. Bed and pillows were softer than we prefer. Our the first night was windy and dtormy and the windchimes just outside our door and the wood plaque on the other side smacked against the building making it hard to sleep. We wised up the 2nd night and set them gently on the ground aas the wind was gusting up then as well. The owner was fine with it.

Highly recommend!! We stay here several times a year and wouldn’t go anywhere else, the added convenience of being so close to downtown is a plus.

Despite us coming in late, they proactively reached out to ensure we knew how to get in properly and get settled into our room. The room was very accommodating for us...including our two pups. Highly recommend. Homestead is just a rocks throw from downtown Blowing Rock, so you can ask for a more convenient location.
- kdc2900 (10/5): Fabulous cottage - We've stayed at many different inns in Blowing Rock but our cottage at Homestead was by far the best. Very clean and roomy with a great fenced-in area for our dog. The owners obviously work very hard to make this a superior place to stay. Can't wait to go back!

Our house was damaged by hurricane Helene and we need a place to stay while repairs were made to our house. It is in Downtown Blowing Rock with several restaurants in walking distance.

The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. It’s one block off Main Street so you can walk easily all over downtown. After a long day of skiing we know we can go back and relax in our cozy room!

Our hosts suggested several different places to eat = good recommendations. We highly recommend this place and will tell others. We have stayed here in many times in the past.

I would really like to thank the staff for upgrading our room to the cottage. The cottage was great with one small exception. My wife has problems with her back and we could have used a firmer mattress. Maybe just check it out. Thanks again we will always choose Homestead as our place to stay. Since it's located in downtown Blowing Rock, we didn't have to move the car to eat or shop. There are chairs and swings in lovely garden areas. We definitely recommend The Homestead Inn!
