Guest Reviews
- Glenn (10/5): - Very relaxing ( we were there midweek).
Incredible location and sunsets.
- joann (4/5): - Noisy ay night and no staff avail. that you can find
- Nathan (8/5): - Nice waterfront spot. Reasonable rates. Nothing fancy but nice for a couple days stay. Sunsets were gorgeous.
- Daniel (8/5): - staff at check in was great. bartenders were on top of everything and the view was absolutely beautiful. definitely would come back.
- Diane (10/5): - The view of the bay was incredible
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful view of the bay but there were some minor damage to the doors and walls.
- Jeffrey (10/5): - A clean comfortable place to stay virtually surrounded by the bay.
- Natalie (10/5): Great Hidden Gem! - This is such a fun place to visit and/or stay! The rooms are just fine, clean and simple. But the location and the staff are what make the place special - both are top notch. The views are amazing, the vibe is fabulous, the drinks and food were excellent... I cannot wait to go back!
- Luisa (4/5): - 1) The hotel did not have our reservations that were done through your website.
2) The water out of the faucet had an awful smell.
3) The room didn't have a do not disturbe sign. The cleaning person came in when we were out and put clean towels. Took one of my towels mistakenly because they were white too, didnt make the bed properly and did not take the trash out. I just would rather the cleaning crew NOT go in our rooms while we are there.
4) The lock in the door was not working properly and the bathroom door did not close and the outside door was hard to open and close.
5) We tried checking out on 7/25 and the door to the main office was closed. No instructions on what to do with the key. We rang the bell and waited around 20 minutes for someone to come and get our room key.
Overall WE are not going back to that hotel.
- nichole (6/5): - Room was meh. Noisy during peak hours.
Nice view
- Scott (10/5): - More than perfect stay. We absolutely loved the company we met and the comfort of the location. Our room was tidy and we felt so welcomed by the staff/owner.
- debra (10/5): - Clean rooms and a well kept property. Friendly, helpful staff. We stayed during the week and it was quiet, exactly what we were looking for. Will definitely stay here again, if in the area.
- EMILY (10/5): - Right on the water! Beautiful area! Staff was attentive and helpful; great place to stay!
- Heather (8/5): - We stayed one night and had a great time! Everyone was very friendly and helpful.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We loved our stay at Lowe’s Wharf Marina Inn. We were there for a wedding, which majority of the other guests there were too. The rooms were decent. My only complaint was our toilet ran constantly. But we just kept the door closed to cover the noise. Our room also wasn’t cleaned after our first night, but again… no big deal. We were barely there. The staff is very friendly and accommodating to requests. Be careful with parking do you have a smaller vehicle. High tide can make driving on the property a little sketchy. Other than that, beautiful hotel!
- Todd (8/5): - The view was incredible at sunset. You're a little ways from St Michaels, 15 minutes.
- Judy (6/5): - The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful.
The room has humidity problems. The heavy privacy curtain blocks the flow of the air conditioner. The floor is tile. I don't think the tile is washed between patrons. I did not like walking on the floor with bare feet because the floor felt slimy.
- John and Karen (8/5): - Excellent location for boating. Has a ramp and docks. Plenty of parking for a trailer. Room is adequate. Staff is excellent and friendly.
- Justine (10/5): - We had an Amazing time! Excellent food, wonderful atmosphere, and super friendly staff/owner. I will definitely be back. Great views and beautiful sunsets.
- Karen (8/5): Anniversary - Beautiful views good food.
- Maureen (10/5): A Hidden Gem - Decided on a quick trip with some friends and was pleasantly surprised by this little inn. The rooms were very clean and included a microwave and fridge.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful with recommendations to local restaurants. Spend some time at the outdoor bar- it has great views(oh that sunset) and fantastic service.
There is a beach on site with comfortable seating but must use ladders to access the water.
Can't wait to go back!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I loved this place. So clean, the owner and staff were so great. The bar and grill had the best food of our trip.we will definitely be returning
- Maurice (8/5): Great stay!!!! - Check in was fantastic. The owner checked us in. Very pup friendly. Feels like your in your own private oasis. The family owned business goes above and beyond for service. I felt bad marking comfort. The bed was not comfy. We know it’s just a weekend, but the comfort of the bed was terrible. Stiff and the sheets were made of plastic or something. They just need to invest in better bedding and new mattresses with toppers. We just didn’t get good sleep. Now bartenders phenomenol especially making orange crush. My daiquiris were also delish. They knew my husband was coming and asked him dbl jack? That was great. The live band and even a vendor was great. The son even did a shot with me for my birthday. Thanks for making my birthday pretty damm great. Make sure you also visit the next town over for breakfast at two if by sea. Great recommendation by the owner.
- Inna (2/5): Budget Motel. - This is a very basic Motel, room smelled musty, dirty, uncomfortable beds. Constant noise outside .
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Liked Location, amenities and staff!
- Melissa (10/5): loved it! will come back! - very beautiful, don't even have to leave the hotel, they have multiples bars and a restaurant, volleyball, cornhole, swimming and so much to do
- Verified traveler (2/5): - There was a party going on right outside our door
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The place was a dump
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The location both in terms of convenience and physically on the water ambiance and the dog friendliness were all plusses. The time time was off season so the maid service did not provide making the bed or supplying fresh towels for the second day. No cable TV a minus for my husband.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very enjoyable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - 1) The toilet bowl was dirty and appeared not to have been cleaned for quite some time
2) The toilet seat was unhinged from the body of the toilet and had to be held in place manually while sitting on it
3) The floor of the unit was covered with sand
4) When we pulled back the bed cover we were horrified that the sheets were also sprinkled with sand
- Verified traveler (10/5): Wonderful weekend stay - We had a fun and relaxing time here. Came here with our young child. Would highly recommend this lodging. I’ve lived in Maryland most my life and I did not even know this resort existed. Don’t expect ocean city -type entertainment in Tilghman. Very laid back. Better than crowded OC, IMO. This town is quiet and friendly. Great for boaters, bird watching, peaceful bike rides, short drive to st Michaels. Lots of boat rental options, a few great restaurants nearby, just spending your whole trip at the lodge would be fine. Friendly staff, you can swim in the bay off their man-made beach. The friendly owner stopped in his busy tracks to assist us to our room (check-in was at their busy, live music-hosting, indoor bar that day). They even have an arcade, which we were not able to check out due to time constraints, but probably a great option for your older children! Can’t wait to make this a yearly long weekend family trip!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Such a fun chill out of the way place. so relaxing and easy. Go by boat if you have one. Paul and his family are delightful! I will be going back next month hopefully if he has room.
- Robert (10/5): Comfort on the Bay - Beautiful location, friendly staff, comfortable and clean rooms with a view of the water! We loved our stay!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - What a lovely spot - boaters come here to eat and listen to live music at the outside bar with lots of seating options, and a fun and friendly staff. The hotel is open year. The restaurant closes during the winter months.
- tor (4/5): Rundown motel in beautiful location - Beautiful spot, but the place is a tear down. Aging, worn building, probably flooded more than once, damp room, very poor quality beds. Elsewhere this would be a $30 motel, don’t expect anything else.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Nice location if you are there for the water.boat/fish
- BettyAnn (10/5): - We have been going to Lowes Wharf Marina Inn for quite a few years. Each and every time we stay the owners and staff are the most accommodating they can be. This is our getaway hideaway when we need it most.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Right on the water. - This hotel is just feet away from the bay. I would suggest taking Off ( not a reflection of the hotel). There is no breakfast - nothing. Tbe closest place for breakfast ( Two if by Sea on Tilghman Island) is excellent, but about five miles away. There are no stores closer than that. So take breakfast bread. There is a coffee pot and refrigerator in the room. Great bar with a band in the afternoon. Very quiet at night. There are very few hotels in the area. The Inn at Perry Cabin is nearby.
- Mary (6/5): Beach party bat - We were in town for a marathon and almost everywhere else was booked. The place was very convenient to st Michaels which was nice. We were there for less than 24 hours and did not really use any of their services. It looks like a beach party bar with a few quest rooms. We were there off season and it was raining so it was very quiet but looked like it could be VERY loud when the joint was jumping! Room was marginal, we had sand in our sheets. Was definitely not worth the price we paid but they probably charged more as the whole town was booked.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice place here during off season but seems like it would be fun for a summer vac.
- Marcia (8/5): Quiet, clean, friendly - This was a no-frills, but I must say very adequate, motel. We just wanted a safe and clean place to stay and we got both. The manager is very laid back and friendly and it is surrounded by water which gives it a cool character. I would stay there again.
- joseph L (4/5): - The shower was way too small, other that the room was ok.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Motel 6 at 4 times the cost. - The rooms are basic, and way over-priced. The motel is on a beach, and the best thing about this place is the outdoor area. But if you want to hang out at the beach here, I suggest you stay somewhere else and drive over.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Totally disappointing - We stayed here for 1 night so that I could run in the St. Michaels Running Festival. We paid what I have paid for a hotel in Manhattan (I'm not allowed to note specific prices) for our room, which was completely without charm or comfort. I would compare it to a cheap highway motel. The beds were terribly uncomfortable, the blankets skimpy, and overall the room was just dreary. The rest of the hotel was similarly unimpressive. Most frustrating of all, when we asked if we could have a late checkout (because I was running the half marathon ans wanted to be able to come back to the room and shower and change), it took 30 minutes to get an answer - which was ultimately a "no."
If we had paid a reasonable amount for the room, I'd have been fine - it's a small place in the middle of nowhere to stay for a night. For what we paid I expected a much, much nicer experience.
- Dianne (4/5): Room with a view! - The staff were great but the room for the price wasn't.
- Tony (8/5): Labor Day weekend getaway - It was our first visit here. Wanted a cool spot not too far from DC. Small and intimate like I like it. Daytime was busy with lots more visitors. Night was beautiful with nice sunsets and few people. Ate one meal that was really delicious.
- Tom (6/5): Lowes Wharf Marina Inn - Very nice sunset and view of cruise ships out of Baltimore.
- Pat and Kathy (8/5): Great Get-away facility with walk out to water - This was an exellent stay at a nice out of the way hotel on the water. We had a bad
storm go through and the staff cleaned up the beaches and the lounge areas before
time to open in the morning. Very helpfull and friendly staff and owners. Maybe they
could serve a continental breakfast or have something available for the morning
Had to go down the road to a nice local restaurant for breakfast but that was only
about 5 miles.
Good in-season prices on the room and the menu served at the lounge area.
- Verified traveler (2/5): oh no, please don't go! - dirty sandy floors, sulfur smelling water(bad eggs), tv is nice but gets about 5 channels, no pictures on walls (just white walls), many rooms have leaky ceilings (bring your flip flops to get out of bed!), open shampoo bottles, beds remade with linen that had been soaking up the water on the floor, don't expect any discounts(group or otherwise), no food after 9 p.m. On the plus side, some staff are quite pleasant and the bar seemed fun. Needless to say, I and my group of friends want to spread the word and will never stay again. We had booked just about the whole complex. The manager wanted to blame many issues on "being in the country". He thought I was a city woman. Well, I have always lived "in the country". I know what hotels should cost and that is no excuse. This could be a nice place. Pretty water views. It needs a major overhaul.
