The hotel is situated 50 meters from the beautiful Mediterranean public beach. If you need beach chairs etc the hotel can supply. The parking place in Cannes is like Gold dust. The hotel has parking arrangements for a reasonable fee. We have a small dog. He was very welcomed at the hotel. The room was noise insulated and Air Conditioned. The bed linen were white cotton as were the towels. Pauline the receptionist was efficient, polite and helpful. My wife and I can only recommend this hotel. It is a gem in the middle of Cannes.

- ronnyr630 (10/5): With a Host Like David, You Just Can't Go Wrong! - It was like staying at a good buddy's house. David, the hotel owner who actually does everything for the guests, was always present to help out with anything and everything - he even threw in a few surprises related to the Cannes Film Festival! David provided advice on where to eat, what to do, how to get there, and of course, he took care of everything from check-in to check-out. It is a small quaint boutique hotel with a lot of charm. Not your typical standardized, sterile chain hotel experience, but one that suits the ambiance of the area perfectly - a seaside resort, near the port and Old Cannes. You can't beat the location, just seconds from the port with its great cafes/restaurants, lovely sandy beaches and just opposite a pleasant green park. You can also easily walk to the "Croissette" in minutes while taking in some great sights along the way (impressive yachts, lively beach clubs, stunning architecture...) - a really top location! Hotel rooms were spacious, clean as a whistle and well appointed. The air conditioner, when needed, worked perfectly. It was an awesome stay at Hotel Couleurs du Sud, but what made it the greatest was the warmth and generous hospitality of its owner, David.

- W8816WFjamiea (4/5): Not a nice place to stay - I’m afraid I found this hotel extremely disappointing - particularly having paid an expensive rate. The location is fine, but the hotel itself is pretty shabby. Dated and tired decor. Everything looks and feels dingy and grim. The bed and pillows were firm to the point of being uncomfortable. The super-cheap toiletries (tiniest bar of soap and single shampoo sachet) were pretty pathetic. The rooms are small and the walls are thin. On two of the three nights I was woken by other guests returning in the early hours. The air conditioning worked, but the controller’s display was broken so it was all guesswork. Other features: Broken and damaged curtain and towel rails, a crumbling lintel above the shutters to the outside, and a single paper cup with two sachets of coffee which were not replaced during my stay. I feel bad leaving a negative review as David the owner was very welcoming. But I’m afraid I must recommend that you avoid this hotel.

Quite good position, bad sight and too high price for the service offered. Unfortunately it smells like wet as you came into the reception. It could be better without any doubt.

- sambizley (10/5): Perfect little place - I moved here after staying in an air B&B. My room was beautiful, small, quirky, had everything I needed. It opened out with big double doors and the staff couldn't be more accommodating. It has a comfortable homely vibe and as a solo traveller I couldn't be happier. They offered breakfast although I slept in and took the 4 minute walk to the bakers for fruit and croissants when I was ready. Its a stones throw to the beach and you can be in the centre of town super quick. Its the perfect spot. I loved it here and would dedinwstay again!
- Tamtam52 (10/5): Great location in a cute, small hotel - This hotel is very well situated. The hotel is well kept, the staff are friendly and helpful and we really enjoyed our stay. Our room had a balcony, which was a much appreciated surprise. It was clean and spacious with a nice decoration. Parking was available for extra charge, this was practical because we hardly needed to use the car. Parking is okay for small cars and beware of the hair raising (steep) exit. It is just across the road from the hotel.This is excellent value for money and we would definitely go back again.

The rooms are clean and comfortable. It has definitaly charm and a personal touch. We're sadisfied and just can recomand it to other visiters and travelers:)

Breakfast offers you croissants, pain au chocolate, baguettes and sweets like different kind of jams. The shower is comfortable, the beds are clean and also comfortable. Conclusion, it's simple but comfortable place to stay.

- VascaK0509 (4/5): Very old hotel with extremely small rooms! - I can not understand how this hotel has got such nice reviews! It was a total disappointment for us! The only really positive thing about it, was the receptionist, a young person who waited for us, as we arrived late at night and was very helpful with directions. (By the way, thank you very much!). Everything else was a total dιsaster!! The hotel is very very old and this is very obvious everywere! The room extremely small, even for two persons (and we were three), no space to put the suitcases and we could'd move in the room without hitting our legs on the beds or to each other!! Plus the room was dark, old, dusty, no wardrobe, short beds and the worst of all: the room was right above the street and there was too much noise during the night, forcing us to close the door, but the aircondition was noisy too and it got us sick, as we started to sneeze during the whole night... Really, the worst night of all our trip, a nightmare, fortunatelly that it was only for one night!!
- DelaraL (2/5): Hotel from hell!!!! - This is the worst hotel (if you can even call it that!!!! More like a sleazy motel) in all of Cannes. The room was dirty, the air conditioning stopped in the middle of the night and started throwing out dust balls. Gross!!! There is no security/person during the night so good luck. What's worse, when you climb the stairs to your room in the night (there's no light, so you feel your way up), there are freaky dolls placed on the sides. It's as if you've arrived in a hotel from your worst nightmare. When I complained to the manager in the morning over the phone (he turn up to work as he was drunk is what i was told!), he was rude and unhelpful. I checked out immediately. I asked him to return my money as I had paid for 10 days to which he laughed and said, "You wish!" I never got my money back, and had to look for a new hotel and incurred an additional cost. Btw I paid 350 euros a night for this dump. I checked the reviews and thought it would be a good cozy place, but I had the shock and disappointment of my life when I reached there. Go only if you want your entire Cannes trip to be ruined.
- boggspm (8/5): Fully enjoyable location & people - Gave us excellent, personalized service in a small but exceptionally nicely decorated and cosy hotel within easy walking distance of everything worth seeing in Cannes. Would recommend it to anyone except the pretentious.
- kerrylegend (10/5): First class location, best prices and wonderful staff - The location of this small hotel could not be better, midway between the "bling" of the seafront of Cannes and the old town, everything is there on the doorstep. It offers superb value for money - we paid around €130 for 2 nights - there can't be better value in the town. We were late arriving at the hotel after a problem with a hire car which had turned into a nightmare - but David's humour and kindness over the phone and then on arrival made the troubles of the day disappear - as did the welcoming glass of white wine offered by his lovely partner. His philosophy about positive people rubs off on his guests! Our ensuite room on the top floor was large and beautifully furnished with a small balcony from which you could just see the sea. A busy street traffic-wise but with windows shut and air conditioning on we had a great sleep. I highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for good location at a great price.

- TerezaS97 (6/5): Hotel with soul - Just one night here during the Cannes festival. The staff was very nice and helpful and made my stay better. Room very small (as usual in France) and simple, but at least tries to have style and make something from nothing which is sympathetic. For 1-2 nights OK, not for more (it's really tiny and also dark). Great location (historical pitoresc part of Cannes). Price is too high.
