- natalieiW185ML (6/5): Convenient City-Centre Hotel with Minor Drawbacks - The location is excellent—right in the city center and within easy walking distance to shops, malls, convenience stores, and bus stops. The room and overall atmosphere are small but comfortable, and the price is fairly reasonable given the central location. However, a few areas could be improved. Although the rooms are clean, the beds advertised as queen size appear to be closer to double size, which was disappointing. The carpets could also use more thorough cleaning, as the room felt a bit stuffy whenever the air conditioning was turned down or off. Additionally, the reservations team was slow to respond and repeatedly blamed internet connectivity issues, even though the hotel’s Wi-Fi in the rooms worked perfectly on our end. Overall, a convenient stay with potential to be much better with a few improvements.

- t.fischer (8/5): Sehr schoenes modernes Hotel im Herzen von Port Moresby. - Das Zimmer war sehr gross und hatte ein grosses komfortables Bett, einen grossen Flachbild-TV und einen Sitzbereich. Nach einmaliger Anmeldung lief das WiFi einwandfrei. Man konnte bis 22 Uhr noch Essen bei einem Restaurant in der Naehe bestellen. Es gibt beim Fruhstuecksbuffet einen Bereich bei dem man sich Sachen zum Mitnehmen einpacken kann. Die Aussicht war nicht sehr gut. Der Shuttleservice sollte einmal pro Stunde zur halben Stunde kommen, jedoch hatte der Fahrer ueber eine halbe Stunde Verspaetung. Bei meinr Ankunft war das Zimmer durch die Klimaanlage so heruntergekuehlt, dass ich erstmal fuer eine Stunde, die Tuer offen lassen musste, damit warme Luft hereinkommt.

The Hotel is located in the heart of the city, making it easy to access other amenities such as shops or markets. The bus/taxi bay is next to the hotel making it easy for guests to commute. My first impression when i walked into the hotel was the carpets. The carpets were dirty & made the atmosphere in the hotel feel stuffy and gave out an unpleasant odor. In addition, there were a lot of cockroaches crawling on the desk, bed & bedside table. This to me seem unhygienic and disgusting to be sleeping in a room full of cockroaches.

- PurposeTraveller (8/5): Better this time round - I have stayed in this properly for a few times now and my last visit in June 2025 was different from the rest in the sense that the rooms were cleaner and a joy to come to. There are still minor issues like late cleaning but nothing the maids can solve if you ask them. Different from my last visit though was the fact that you now pay for your laundary. This was a previous free service, where you can wash your clothes at the laundramat. Don't forget to buy your wasking token from the cafe at the Holiday Inn hotel; 2 in fact, one for the washer and the other for the dryer. Oh and the buffets is a good feed too. Great improvement HI Express....

- Veronica (7/5): - We are a couple that stayed 2nights and were at Gekko Bar in the evening there was a staff there called Cathy..her service was good very welcoming. Your doing great keep going 👏 Communication skills wasn't was up to our expectations. Otherwise we had an enjoyable stay.
- Keisha (8/5): - I liked that the hotel staff was friendly and made checking in and out very easy. The rooms were nice and clean and the hotel had a delivery service for food. I was able to pay either cash or card for all amenities - this was a plus as I was traveling internationally. The miss was laundry. Initial calls were to the reception desk about laundry and they were busy so my question wasn’t answered before they hung up on me. I brought my clothes downstairs to drop off after I received an answer for the item being laundered that was not on the form to complete and send off with my laundry. I stayed up most of the night and had to call twice before finally receiving my laundry at almost 2am after dropping off around 12p after I was assured at 7pm that my laundry was being finished. This was the only Miss, but overall experience was good. I will definitely be staying at this location again when I’m back in POM.
