- DRLand (4/5): Beautiful Rooms Attached to a Carnival Cruise Ship - Our second and last stay at the Rosewood. We were a small group (5 rooms, 9 people, staying anywhere from 5 to 7 nights). Our total group bill was in the neighborhood of $150,000. The staff of the hotel is great. The rooms were nice. The housekeeping was excellent. But that's where it ends. Everything was crowded, overpriced and nothing special. It was nearly impossible to get reservations in the restaurants. When you could get in you, were confronted with obscene prices, super slow service from the kitchens, and with a few exceptions, mediocre food. The common areas were filled with underaged, overserved kids (never once saw anyone carded) and an assortment of other rowdies. If you are looking for a high-end, luxury experience, this is not it. It's more like a Carnival cruise.
- joshuadoubleyou (10/5): The Perfect Luxury Vacation for Families - My family just returned from a lovely five-night stay at the Rosewood Baha Mar and it was truly a wonderful experience. I can't recommend it enough as the perfect destination for families with young kids who are looking for a luxurious and convenient place to get away. The Property: The property is lush and well-landscaped, with beautiful tropical foliage, a pond full of stunning koi and African cichlid fish, and spacious bright green lawn. As an avid gardener, I particularly appreciated (and envied) how immaculately-maintained it was. We saw groundskeepers fastidiously working away every morning pruning branches and carting away leaves. The front entrance and lobby to the Rosewood is stunningly-decorated and very faintly perfumed with a pleasing tropical fragrance. The gentleman at the front desk that printed out my bill for me and asked about how our stay was going stood out due to his warmth and friendliness (which I wouldn't say was necessarily true of the concierge or some of ladies check-in). The Pool: The swimming pool is spacious, clean, and offers a glimpse of the turquoise ocean just over the horizon with the beach only steps away from the shallow end. The pool is perfect for families with young kids like ours, as there is a zero-clearance entrance that gradually transitions from a few inches to several feet the further in you go. There are multiple lifeguards who watch the kids like a hawk, which was reassuring and a nice unexpected perk. They occasionally intervened politely and professionally whenever a swimming child was playing in a manner that was unsafe. The staff at the pool, both the servers and the attendants, were quite attentive and regularly checked in on us unprompted to see if there's anything we needed. We never had to wait particularly long at all for drinks or ordered food. While I'll give a special shout out to the pool wait staff Sidney and another guy whose name I can't remember but rhymed with "the man" (because he said his name was [something] "the man" lol), I commend all the guys who worked at the pool for being so friendly and on top of things. The Beach: We only spent one day at the beach but service was good (not as outstanding as the incredibly-attentive staff at the pool but still good nonetheless) and the beach was clean. We even spotted a dolphin right off the Rosewood's beach one afternoon, which thrilled my daughter and made her stay. Our Room and Hotel Cleanliness: Our well-appointed room was spacious, appeared newly-redone, and was thoroughly-cleaned daily. We slept incredibly well on the comfortable mattresses and soft linens, and it was comparably easy to have a quiet evening as compared to the other properties on the Baha Mar compound (the closer you are to the SLS Hotel, the louder it gets). The housekeepers were very warm and friendly, routinely stopping us with a smile on their faces to see if there was anything we needed. In fact, the entire Rosewood hotel was incredibly neat and tidy - one of the cleanest, well-kept hotels I've stayed in and rivaling five-star resorts I've been to in United Arab Emirates and Switzerland. Dining: MAKE RESERVATIONS FOR DINNER EVERY NIGHT. To be frank, you will have a lot of trouble finding a place to eat on the Baha Mar compound without reservations. There were long lines of people standing around waiting because they didn't make reservations before they arrived. While we enjoyed many of the restaurants on the Baha Mar compound, our favorite meal by far was at the Rosewood's Café Boulud. The service and the food were far superior to all of the other restaurants at Baha Mar. We couldn't have enjoyed this meal more - if you're a seafood lover, be sure to try the delicious Red Snapper and Conch Salad if you have the opportunity and thank me later. The recommended wine pairing was spot-on. All of the servers at Boulud who assisted with our meal were incredible; warm, attentive, and professional. This was one of my most favorite meals I've had while on vacation in a very long time. I'll also note that I didn't wake up early enough for breakfast at the Rosewood but my family did and they really enjoyed both the food and said that service was very good. Finally, I want to give a huge thanks to the Guest Relations and Quality Services Manager Ivanna Capron. She truly went above and beyond to accommodate us when we asked for a special treat to surprise our kiddos and delivered the level of service one would expect from a Rosewood property. Job well done to the Rosewood Baha Mar and Café Boulud. Our stay with you was a total hit and we definitely hope to return again in the future.

- wise2374 (6/5): Incredible facility! Just not for us - This is an impressive hotel situated in an even more-impressive sprawling Baha Mar complex. The grounds and facilities are spectacular. As for the rest, I'm reminded that they were chock-full during a very busy vacation week, and I think our expectations for something more relaxing were probably misplaced. This isn't necessarily a serene retreat. It's too close to the rest of the Baha Mar complex, and while it's separated from it, you see and feel the activity on the other side of the wall. It felt more like the smaller nicer hotel in an otherwise blingy and impressive Las Vegas-style resort. So expectations of a quieter and relaxing environment were a bit off, But there were a few things that left us with a not-great taste, mostly to do with interactions with people working there. Some of the team members were just unfriendly - and maybe some of that's to be expected on a weekend in which they have to staff up. We had a really surprising experience with a staff member who started blaring loud pumping music near the beachgoers on a Friday afternoon in advance of a newish Friday afternoon event they do at their beachfront restaurant. Every single person on the beach couldn't believe how it went from quiet to dance club within seconds, and the man who was setting it up was, like, surprisingly rude in his response to us. He said something to me I won't repeat here, Finally, a lovely manager came and helped resolve it after a while and managed to tone the music down a bit, But by then we were all rankled by the experience with this staff member and by no longer having one spot to be able to relax in quiet. Sometimes it's the little things and this $2 one bugged me. (I can't believe I'm writing about $2.) At the breakfast the menu says that coffee is $10 (!) and if it's drip it includes refills. So when I got the bill (without refills by the way) I see there's a $12 charge. Now I don't really care about an extra $2 when i'm paying over $2k per night for a room to start with, but I looked again at the menu to see if I'd maybe missed something, and then asked the wait staff over to inquire about why the extra charge when the menu doesn't reference it. I didn't get a clear answer other than it was to cover refills, but when I asked another staff member about it, he said it looked like a typo. So,that's about when I started to feel a bit nickel-and-dimed by this place, like maybe I was being taken advantage of, and it just didn't feel very good. Like this little $2 charge with no explanation or transparency really landed poorly with me. And that's when I knew I wouldn't return. But - would I recommend it for a family that wants luxury accommodation, isn't looking for the serenity but rather wants some of the action in an incredible Baha Mar facility? I actually would.
- 674clarem (6/5): Not a relaxing hotel - Just returned from 7 nights at this hotel and unfortunately not the relaxing holiday we were hoping for. For the most part of our stay the hotel was hosting a conference and the hotel was totally overrun with it. Daily functions related to the conference meant that some of the public spaces were closed off to guests such as ourselves who were on holiday. The noise levels in the evening when events were being held were totally unacceptable - it was if the hotel doesn’t care that people are on holiday. The proximity to the other two hotels was also an issue - it constantly felt manic with the volume of, often, loud groups of people wandering around drinking alcohol in and around the Rosewood. Clearly coming through the casino from the other hotels. Securing restaurant reservations was also a pain - if you didn’t book well in advance you didn’t get in. Rowdy queues formed at most of the venues. Reception very rude on our last day - we had an overnight flight back to the UK leaving the hotel at 7pm and they would not provide a hospitality room to shower and change without a battle. All in all we have had much better experiences in luxury hotels that have cost a lot less than this - it is overpriced and not worth it. I would be very reluctant to use the Rosewood brand again.
- claraaY2337EN (6/5): Frustrating stay that didn’t feel 5 star - I rarely leave negative reviews, but I’m sharing this because I left genuinely disappointed especially given the price point and the reputation of the Rosewood in the Bahamas. We booked this stay expecting a true unwinding escape from New York (we both have very demanding jobs), and while the property has undeniable potential, the experience fell far short of what I associate with a 5 star hotel. The room: Our room was tastefully designed, comfortable, and exactly the aesthetic you want on vacation. We were on the 5th floor with a view over the central backyard area. Unfortunately, what should have been a peaceful setting became the opposite. Noise / lack of tranquility: One night there was a wedding party with extremely loud music that went past midnight. The sound carried so strongly that it honestly felt like the party was in our room. For a hotel positioned as a luxury, restful escape, this was unacceptable. Sleep and quiet are not “nice to haves” at this level they are BASIC expectations. Service & billing issue: I also had questions about a payment the hotel collected. It was almost impossible to find someone at the front desk when we needed help, and communication afterward was frustrating. After several emails, I finally got a call from someone who seemed completely uninterested in resolving the issue. For a luxury brand, I expected ownership, clarity, and follow-through not indifference. Breakfast: Breakfast was fine, but not memorable and definitely not up to the standard I expected from a top tier property. It felt more “average resort breakfast” than a standout experience. Overall: When you pay 5 star prices, you’re paying for peace, consistency, and exceptional service. Instead, we experienced disruptive noise late at night and surprisingly poor support when we needed help with billing. We left with an unsweetened feeling about the brand, and I would hesitate to pay this premium again especially at other Rosewood locations. Would I return? Not at this price, and not unless the hotel improves its noise management and service responsiveness significantly.
- Deer24 (2/5): Stay Elsewhere - I should have listened to the other reviews. If you want to take your kids to a water park in the Bahamas - then Baha Mar could be just the place. If money is absolutely no object and you don’t care about bad value, then stay at the Rosewood. Otherwise, just stay at one of the other Baha Mar hotels. If you want a peaceful or luxury vacation, stay elsewhere.
- wrengill (4/5): Not the Luxury We Expected - We arrived with moderate expectations, but ultimately found our stay at Rosewood Baha Mar to be disappointing. To start with the positives: the grounds and hotel are beautiful and well maintained. The Rosewood is noticeably quieter and less crowded than the SLS and Grand Hyatt, and the pools never felt packed. The flamingo encounter was genuinely wonderful and is something I would highly recommend, especially for families. Keeper Arienne was warm, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the animals, and she did a lovely job helping our daughter interact with the birds. Unfortunately, the remainder of our experience fell well short of what we expect from a five-star property. This may resonate particularly with travelers accustomed to other luxury hotels, such as Four Seasons, as the level of service and consistency here did not compare. We chose Rosewood specifically because we were traveling with a toddler and believed it would be well suited for families, given the dining options, access to Baha Bay, and the way the property presents itself. Prior to arrival, the concierge team was responsive and helpful by email, which set high expectations. Once on property, however, the experience felt disjointed and inefficient, with very little sense of ease or attentiveness. Service throughout our stay was inconsistent. On our first day at the lagoon pool, after being set up with towels, we were told to use the service button to place orders. Despite pressing it multiple times, no one came for over 30 minutes. Servers passed by without acknowledgment, and when one finally approached, they closed the umbrella over my chair without saying anything and walked away. I was genuinely surprised by this interaction. Eventually, I had to approach a staff member to place an order. The following day was somewhat better with a more attentive attendant, but overall it felt as though service was prioritized for regular guests. We tipped well and early, yet still felt like an inconvenience when asking for assistance and were checked on far less frequently than others nearby. One positive is that pool seating was plentiful, and there was no need to wake up extremely early to secure chairs. The zero-entry lagoon pool is understandably popular, though even arriving around 7:00 a.m., some chairs were already reserved. As for the pools themselves, while the lagoon pool is attractive and designated as a family pool, it was uncomfortably cold. Our toddler could not stay in it for long, so we ended up at the cabana pools, which were warmer but far less appealing. Dining was another area of mostly disappointment. We tried Costa, Marcus, Cleo, and Katsuya. Costa was particularly poor, with the exception of the guacamole. Marcus was inconsistent food-wise, and service there felt cold and unwelcoming. Cleo had good food, but we were seated outside near a service door while many better tables appeared to be available. When I asked to move, I was told nothing else was open, yet those tables were still empty when we left. Katsuya was the exception, with both the food and service being very good. We also experienced a significant issue in our room. Our bathroom light repeatedly turned on by itself in the middle of the night, waking us multiple times. I called the front desk around 8:00 p.m. to report the issue. They asked if they could send someone immediately, and I explained that our toddler was asleep and requested that someone come the following morning. This was acknowledged and agreed to. However, at 11:30 p.m., someone rang the doorbell repeatedly and knocked loudly, waking our daughter. It took quite some time for her to fall back asleep. After again speaking with the front desk and reiterating that maintenance should come in the morning, the same issue occurred again the following night. Ultimately, what lingered most from this stay was not the amenities, but the overall feeling it left us with. A significant portion of the staff at Rosewood and across Baha Mar made us feel more like an inconvenience than welcomed guests. While others may have had different experiences, this was ours—and it is not one we would choose to repeat.
- mdttravels (4/5): 5 star prices, 2 star experience. - This is more hotel than resort and it is by far the lowest ranked rosewood property, globally. I've been to many and all of the beach resorts. The rooms are dated, some staff are excellent and some have zero interest working. The food is average on its best day, below average most days, yet outrageously priced like a 3 Michelin star restaurant. How about $25 for a hot dog? Yea, that price does include the relish. If this was $500 a night I'd give it 4 stars, but at nearly 3k all in per night, this is a 1 star resort adjusted for price. Pool chairs are impossible to get unless you get an early start. The place is frigid, bring a sweater. They'd be better off spending less on electricity and more on the guest experience. Zero Chance of a return visit.
- Relax34660289073 (2/5): Save your money - For a resort charging $2,000+ per night, this was a deeply disappointing experience and one we would not recommend—especially for families. From the start, service fell far short of expectations. After check-in, our luggage did not arrive for hours, leaving us without essentials and with little urgency from staff. Several promised in-room amenities were missing, requiring repeated follow-ups to address. Breakfast, which is included with the room, involved an over one-hour wait just to be seated, with no alternatives offered. For families, this is especially frustrating and impractical. Despite being marketed as a destination resort, there was no availability for activities, even early in our stay. Pool service was also extremely slow, with a 45-minute wait just to receive a drink. Most surprising is that there isn’t even basic complimentary coffee in the morning without long waits or extra charges—something that feels unacceptable at this level. The property itself is beautiful, but luxury is about service, efficiency, and hospitality. For families paying this rate, there are far better options. Honestly, you would be better off staying at the Hyatt next door, where the experience is more reliable and far better aligned with the cost. Unfortunately, Rosewood Baja did not deliver the level of service its name or price promises, and we would not return.

- evany131 (10/5): Great couples weekend away - We went with two couples for a four day getaway and we had a wonderful time. The setting is beautiful and our room had a great view of the ocean. The room was clean, well appointed and quiet. I liked the fact that the Rosewood was close to the ocean and they have a great beach chair setup. We loved our morning breakfasts at the Breakfast Cafe for beautiful outdoor dining. The restaurants at the Baha Mar property were all excellent and we will definitely return in the future. If you can deal with Shanecquar Collie then do so. She is a magician of customer service and went out of her way to make sure our experience was positive from the outset. Everyone should aspire to be as good as Shanecquar!

- BLLNDC (10/5): “It’s Time to Stop Counting when You Stay at the Rosewood, Baha Mar!” - After our 5th plus vacation in the Bahamas at the Rosewood of Baha Mar, my daughter and I have decided to stop counting. Amazing and First Class sums up our Thanksgiving holiday at the gorgeous Rosewood Hotel. From the moment our flight landed to stepping out of Rosewood’s luxury car service, we were warmly welcomed back and hugged by the renown front desk manager, Ms. Shanecquar Collie and her friendly professional staff. As we sipped a delicious complimentary welcome cocktail, one of our favorite Butlers, admirable Aaron greeted my daughter and I and then escorted us around the property to reminisce and refresh us on all the wonderful outdoor activities, wining/dining and simply said, “whatever floats your boat!” I would be remiss if I didn’t acknowledge the entire Butler team, including the zealous Zia, courteous Corey and gentleman Greg. For the third time, we enjoyed a huge, immaculate, modernized self-contained suite that made it all the more difficult to leave by the end of our vacation. Of course, we can never forget our daily fun in the sun at the pools and beach orchestrated by the well -trained, professional and friendly attendants and servers, including MacDonald, Kenny, Scottie, Charles, George, Dominic, Manny, Stacey, DeAngelo, Kwan, Anton and Clive. The dining at Rosewood always started at the delicious well serviced Breakfast Cafe with Felicia and each relaxing evening kicked off with the “perfect” cocktail made by Fluffy and his talented bartenders at Manor Bar. In closing, “Hats off” to Ricara, Torrell and Shanecquar and the entire Rosewood of Baha Mar Family for always making our Bahama vacations the best ever!
- ryanrG2500NO (2/5): Under staffed and under trained - Worst service I’ve ever experienced from a 5 star hotel. Rosewood Baha Mar is a beautiful property and the rooms are lovely, as are the amenities - much better than the SLS or Hyatt in Baha Mar. However, so many details and all of the service that you would expect from a hotel at this price point fall flat. Breakfast takes minimum 2 hours (30 minutes for coffee to arrive, an hour for food), if you’re able to get a table. If you want ice delivered to your room, budget at least an hour or more (there are no public ice machines) and you will need to call multiple times. It became a running joke in our family over the 5 nights we stayed how long something would take. Understaffed and under trained.
- 372emady (6/5): Ocean view not ocean - The resort is outstanding. The staff are great. I would love to give them five but this message is for the general manager because the front desk. I don’t think it could done anything about it. We were very lovely. You cannot be selling your rooms as Ocean view on the sixth floor on your trees are complete me blocking the view. Maybe this was ocean view five years ago when the resort open, but right now you can’t see anything you charge me for Ocean view, but I didn’t see the ocean. Please change your policies. I love your hotel. I would love to come back, but I’m gonna make sure that when I’m back that I’m above the seventh floor.
- OHT92 (6/5): Not what we expected - This hotel would be wonderful if it wasn’t attached to the Grand Hyatt. Perhaps we didn’t do enough research but felt confident that the Rosewood experience would be perfect for us, what we’ve experienced elsewhere and hold closer true to the lux/ relaxing vibes portrayed across multiple websites and social media pictures but was definitely taken back when we arrived. It was basically like a tropical vegas with the lobby and main bar metres away from the Grand Hyatt casino. This meant everywhere was incredibly busy, reservations required for every restaurant including breakfast, despite being a rosewood guest. We avoided the beach as it was packed and they allowed beach merchants to parade up and down blowing conchs to attract attention - not super relaxing. We were only stopping through Friday - Sunday and everywhere on the Friday night and Saturday were full of loud obnoxious groups of people mainly Americans on stags / bachelorettes / school reunions. Sunday was far more relaxing by the pool when there was significantly less people. The food we experienced was great, but you paid for it $10 for a coffee, $9 for an orange juice. Each dish was a minimum $35 and any adds on like meat an additional $19. They just seemed to get you with all the add ons, we played pickleball and it was $85 for an hour because you had to rent rackets and buy the balls. Other high end resorts I.e four seasons wouldn’t charge you to use facilities. You can use the Grand Hyatt gym which was the best hotel gym we’ve used, huge and loads of equipment. The hotel itself was aesthetically gorgeous and the service was fantastic - everyone was incredibly attentive and accommodating (minus the woman in the golf shop who clearly didn’t want to be there). Long review short - I would stay off Baha Mar if you’re looking for relaxed island vibes or make more of an effort to explore islands within the day which we would have done if we had more time and you’re willing to pay $500pp to go to Exuma. That said, I still had a good time and would rather be here than not!

We had our honey moon here and from the second we walked in Shanecquar and her team greeted us with welcome drinks and made us feel so special. The entire time we were greeted by our first names making us feel like true royalty the entire time. There is no better place to be than the Rosewood! Shoutout to the front desk staff: Kita, Denice, Stephen, and Shanecquar Shout out to the pool and beach staff as well: Anthony, Calvin, Scott, and Brian!

But a beautiful place with a very nice casino. The employees were all friendly and helpful. The water park was fabulous.

From the moment we arrived, we were allowed to check in early, which was such a nice touch. At check-in, Ricarra surprised my fiancé and me with ROSEWOOD caps that we proudly wore throughout our stay. While our room was being prepared, we were escorted to Nexus for a delightful lunch, and everything we had was delicious. We ended up on the 11th floor, and the views from our room were simply breathtaking. Ricarra, our guest concierge, was fantastic. She always checked in on us and made sure we had everything we needed. The restaurants were amazing, and the waitstaff provided top-notch service that made us feel truly special. The whole property gave us the white glove treatment, and to top it all off, Ricarra gifted us a lovely charcuterie board and a bottle of wine, which made our trip even more memorable. We had a fantastic getaway, and I can’t wait to return!

Really clean environment and the food was excellent. We did have some issues with the lock in our room and WiFi but management did their best to make it right. The staff were helpful and accommodating. Overall, this place is very pricey so we were expecting luxury at its peak and our expectations were met.

- P1533EMmarys (2/5): Don't book any property at Baha Mar! - Our brief day at Baha Mar, during a cruise, provided ample evidence that the resort’s exorbitant prices are not justified for overnight stays. The staff is extremely rude, like they’re doing you a favor by just telling you the basic details on how to get around the property. The beach service was a complete scam. I ordered a piña colada for $20, I paid cash, and the guy simply put the money in his pocket. I was praying he didn't spike the drink since there have been so many incidents like these happening at other resorts in the Caribbean; it was fine, more syrup than alcohol, and he handed it to me without napkins or anything, bare minimum. I almost got confused because the pineapple vendors were wearing practically the same t-shirts as actual Baha Mar employees. The guy pressured me to buy a piña colada from him, and the price was $30!!!! I politely declined. The resort was plagued by loud conch vendors and children selling shells. I don’t know why or how they let these people into the resort, but the truth of the matter is that you cannot relax AT ALL! I only spent a day there and experienced the disaster, which prevented me from being as disappointed as other guests who booked overnight stays and had a truly negative experience. I feel that the Bahamas, overall, is a scam anywhere you go.
- G4081LEjamesm (8/5): Rosewood quality, but it's still Baha Mar - We generally like Rosewoods for their attentive service, quiet luxury, and comfortable spaces. Often they are reasonably secluded escapes (the Rosewood Bermuda is a good example) but the Rosewood Baha Mar is... well... fully in Baha Mar. If you like Baha Mar (casinos, crowds, lots of activities for families) then the Rosewood is the nicest option there. The service is attentive, the rooms are extremely comfortable, and the overall experience is absolutely consistent with Rosewoods generally. If you're looking for a quiet, secluded island escape, this is probably not for you. That's not a knock on this hotel, which is exquisite. You just need to understand that at this particular Rosewood, the lobby bar is adjacent to one of the Baha Mar casino entrances, so you should expect that lots of people staying elsewhere will go to that bar as a treat or high end experience... and that will make the bar extremely crowded and detract from the experience. The same general pattern is true at the pools and hot tubs - you will likely be in competition for space with guests from a number of the other hotels in the greater Baha Mar mega resort. That means that while you might get some time to just relax in the hot tub, it's more likely that you'll be joined by a (perfectly nice) group of friends on a 40th birthday trip or a bachelor party who will be in a very social mood. Again, this is a feature of Baha Mar - it's a mega resort. The restaurants are good, and among the better food in Baha Mar. Café Boulud is a resort-priced version of its NYC cousins. Costa is decent Mexican in a nice outdoor setting, although there were some particularly rowdy birthday and bachelorette parties that detracted from our experience just due to unlucky table placement. My only major complaint about the Rosewood itself is that there is not a good on-property option for coffee in the mornings. If you want a cold brew or a mocha or anything of that nature, you need to take a long walk through the casinos to a Starbucks, which has a 15 minute line. Overall, if you're going FOR Baha Mar, the Rosewood is a fantastic hotel and your nicest option there. If you're going FOR the Rosewood/island luxury getaway experience, you might want to consider a different destination altogether, as Baha Mar might not be for you.

Everything from the welcoming environment and beauty of the hotel to the warm and amazing staff throughout the hotel that are more than happy to go above and beyond to assist the guests in any which way they can in order to make your stay that much more pleasurable. - Ranza76 (4/5): Fell Short for the Expense - Overall, a beautiful property located on the beach. However for the price, a number of things fell short. 1. Check in process was a nightmare. We got in early and had emailed ahead of time. Still didn’t get into our room until almost 5pm. Many other guests were waiting around with the same experience. 2. Getting reservations was very difficult at the different restaurants. The concierge will not help with this. You can only do it through the website. 3. The food at the restaurants varied a bit. Some were good. Some were not. 4. It is a very crowded / busy place. The Rosewood gives some relief but not much. 5. The venders on the beach will blow into conch shells all day which is a bit annoying. 6. Overall service was spotty. Sometimes friend and quick. Other times slow and not very friendly. 7. Been said before, it is very expensive. For the prices, feels like you have get a better experience somewhere else.

Including the brand new Escalade we were picked up in and very friendly driver. Check-in process was fairly quick. The room was comfortable, spacious and quiet. The resort is large so it is a long walk to the beach which is a little snug and not 100% level, however there are multiple pools available. Only a few children/families, which I prefer, considering one of the selling points for us was the onsite casino, shared with the Hyatt next door. Shopping is sparse and EXPENSIVE.

The hotel is shaped like a U so every room looks out across at the other wing of rooms. We booked the second best suite in the entire hotel which was listed as a two bedroom “Ocean View” suite only to find that the “Ocean View” could only be seen from the balcony. The service was ok, but not great and we were grouped in with over 2,000 spring breakers as the Baha Mar is attached to two other behemoth hotels one of which has a giant casino. I would NOT go back again unless forced.

The grounds are incredible, very lush and manicured; pools well laid out with clean cushioned chairs and plenty of them; the Beach is clam and perfect for all day swimming but the beach chairs and service by staff is amazing .. cushioned chairs , and food service. Overall the staff are so perfectly trained for customer service. I mean everyone. If staying here you are an elevated traveler. The guests are well dressed and mannered overall. It is a big resort. The Costas restaurant is the most underrated restaurant in Bahamas. Eat there everyday if you can. Def do the massage . Wake early and have coffee or breakfast w your mate at the library. Before dinner chill at the amazing bar it's a great vibe and people nice. I hotel belongs on its own and not connected to Hyatt and Sls . Baha Mar overall is a Vegas feel . The rosewood brand doesn't belong there. Sure it was fun to go into the casino but overall Hyatt and sls are average and crowded . Fortunately it didn't bleed into the rosewood and affect the elevated experience. Overall great if you're traveling to Bahamas If Rosewood is your choice money is not a factor so don't be complaining about 12$ coffees. The whole Baha Mar complex is expensive just manage your food and drinks properly . Enjoy and Rosewood wins here . Ps we did visit Four Seasons for dinner They should not be compared . The ocean club is a different experience , classic small older hotel for those escaping crowds. It has its place . Rosewood is far superior here

My favorite part of any luxury hotel room is making it pitch black, freezing, and sleeping in a dungeon. Whoever designed these rooms didnt think it through. The only ac vent is by the front door and doesnt circulate to the sleeping area. They also cap the ac so it cant go lower than 65. My wife and i woke up 2-3 times a night sweating. The service is good, but there big issues there too. We went to the pizza lab one night and ordered an app, pizza, and pasta. They brought out the pizza first, then pasta, then app. We went for a drink in the bar right by the lobby(cant remember the name), and waited 40 minutes for our check bc the bartender was playing backgammon with other guests. There are a lot of nice things about the rosewood but the air conditioning situation in the room is enough for me to never return.

The staff was attentive, and made every interaction feel personal. My ocean view suite was absolutely stunning, and had breathtaking views with a luxurious comfort that had a home like feeling. I especially loved the pool area which was the perfect place to unwind and relax in peace. The full Baha Mar complex offered endless activities, dining, and energy, but it was nice to return to the quiet, exclusive feel of the Rosewood side. Overall, this was a truly memorable experience that I can’t wait to return again to. Highly recommend checking out the spa as well!

- FriscoLife (2/5): Smoke and Mirrors!!! - WARNING DO NOT STAY HERE! Just returned from this disappointing experience. Stayed in a $3,000+ corner, ocean view suite with full kitchen and family room. Dirty upon arrival, deck flooring slippery and dirty, daily room cleaning sub par at best. Bedroom had no ceiling fan and was HOT, engineer came twice and nothing was ever adjusted. First morning went to the library to get a cup of coffee. ($25 total without tip) Greeted by rude attendants. Overheard them being rude to other guests! Our jaws were hanging open! The staff here acts like they’re doing you a favor waiting on you! And we are not high maintenance people! Reserved a Pickleball court, upon arrival attendant in the pro shop was extremely rude, not helpful, he said towels were still in the dryer at 10am, and water dispenser was broken and unavailable . Unreal? Cost of paddles and court rental over $100. Breakfast the next day, two meals no drinks water only, over $100 😳 Both dishes sent back the eggs were made in bulk and cold! Tried room service one time! Meals took over an hour to arrive and were cold as well and they were out of items! No avocado on the “avocado salad” how does that work? Every attendant was begging for tips. Always mentioned “don’t forget to place a tip”! (and every receipt has a service fee on it) They must not be paying their employees well because it showed! This place is smoke and mirrors! Do not waist your money! Extremely expensive and not worth it! The entire staff needs a pep talk!

Not a friendly staff, not helpful and seemed to avoid daily room service. No body lotion on the bathroom, shampoo was cheep and you had to use 15 pumps of soap to get it to lather. Staff does not seem happy and very inconvenienced when requesting pretty much anything . Not even close to a 5 star hotel...we will never revisit...and either will the other 25 couples...

The pool and beach attendants are also amazing. We return here time and time again because they all treat us so well. The vibe at the rosewood is so elevated and elegant… food at all the rosewood restaurants delicious! Highly recommend.

Some friends praised the Rosewood and suggested we try it Glad they did. It may be my new favorite long weekend getaway. The staff is amazing. The property is clean and well appointed. The food is great The Manor Bar and the bartenders are the BEST! The rooms are very nice and roomy. The pool, cabanas and service give White Lotus vibes. Can’t wait to go back.
- newhampshire411 (10/5): Quiet Escape Within Baha Mar - We stayed at Baha Mar with a group of families over spring break. The Rosewood offers a relaxing respite within the Baha Mar resort. We were in a Garden View Grand One-Bedroom Suite. With as busy as the resort was as a whole, we never felt cramped, rushed or stressed within the confines of the Rosewood. The rooms are beautifully appointed and incredibly quiet. We appreciated the spacious rooms (complete with a full kitchen and a washer and dryer) and the prompt, friendly staff. I would suggest this hotel for anyone who wants to experience all there is to do at Baha Mar, but also have a place to escape at the end of the day.
- ronkR4384JP (2/5): Probably the greatest disconnect between Cost and Guest Experience ever - Shockingly poor “5” star. Save your money!! - After 15 hours of travel our room was not ready at 4:30pm. We paid $100 to get picked-up by the hotel’s luxury SUV (the airport is 12 minutes away) so it’s not like they didn’t know we were coming. We went to the beach to get food while we waited (which was over priced and shockingly poor quality). At 6pm we asked if the room was ready and the Assistant Manager said she texted me at 4pm to say it was ready. I told her this was a straight up lie as at 4:20pm we were at reception waiting!! The assistant manager challenged me (calling me a liar effectively). I suggested she best check her security cameras. They weren’t smart enough to figure out how to text a European number when it was ready (presumably around 5pm). When we got to the room at 6pm, still no bags, hallway light was broken and shower falling apart. The hotel is a high rise - you can barely see the narrow beach. The room finish is ok but doesn’t have expected amenities (our room is $2200/night for a partial sea view deluxe). Prices are crazy high and there’s no version where this is even close to 5 star. It’s best a very overpriced 4 star but honestly spend your money somewhere nicer. Rosewood is not a chain I’ll stay at again. Back to the Four Seasons - totally different league.

The restaurant staff were great. The poolside service was slow and frustrating. Rooms were beautiful.
- jameek2019 (6/5): There are NO ocean view suites in this hotel!!! - Alert, Alert!!!!!! There are NO Ocean View rooms in this hotel except for the Penthouse suite. I booked a two bedroom ocean view suite for my family and when we were shown to our room I pointed out the fact that we had a view of the other side of the hotel with no water in site. They sent a manager up who told me to step out on our balcony for the ocean view. The only way you see the ocean is from the balcony and it is only a sliver so DO NOT pay up for an ocean view room!! Also - be ready for Spring Break mayhem as this massive Rosewood is connected to two other MASSIVE hotels with a water park and HUGE casino. This is a B+ hotel trying to pretend it’s an A hotel. As long as you set your expectations accordingly you will like it but don’t expect a One and Only or an Aman even though you are paying prices that would indicate that level of hospitality.
- janicelysek (10/5): An unforgettable birthday getaway at Rosewood Baha Mar! - From the moment we arrived at the airport, everything was seamless. We were offered a glass of champagne at the check-in desk at the airport while we waited for our driver. We only waited a few minutes, and we were personally escorted to our driver. It was a quick trip from the airport to the hotel. We were treated to an exceptional level of hospitality that made my partner's birthday celebration truly unforgettable. The resort itself is breathtaking - elegant, serene and perfectly designed for a luxurious escape. Our suite (which was upgraded), was beautifully appointed with stunning ocen views, plush furnishings and thoughtful touches that made it seem like a private sanctuary. To our delight, the staff surprised us with a lovely birthday arrangement, complete with cupcakes and fruit - such a wonderful touch that set the tone for our stay. Dining at Costa provided an excellent atmosphere with delicious seafood and mexican flare. The other restaurants at the surrounding areas were also delish - particularly Cleo. The pool and beach experience was spectacular. Every moment was enjoyable. The staff consistently went above and beyond, ensuring that we were always taken comfortable and well taken care of. If you're looking for a perfect place to celebrate a special occasion, the Rosewood is truly second to none. Every detail was flawless and the warmth of the staff made it a celebration we will cherish forever. Can't wait to return next year!!
- 700chadt (2/5): Overpriced middle of the road experience - We have stayed at other Rosewood Hotels and had fantastic experiences. Unfortunately, this experience was nowhere near on par with the others. While the hotel is beautiful and the rooms are very nice, this is not a luxury experience. Hotel employees are disinterested (and in some cases even nasty) and essentially incompetent to help guests through basic matters. We planned our dinner reservations months ahead, only to receive email cancellations for some of the days. As a result we had to shift all of our reservations. When the online system did not work , we called the concierge and corrected all of the reservations. Once we arrived, we were still receiving notices of the reservations we had cancelled. I went to the concierge again and walked through our reservations for each day. To my surprise, it still was not corrected, and we were billed for reservations we had missed (the ones we cancelled). The cleaning staff took our soap out of the shower when cleaning the room and took a day and a half to bring it back. In addition, no one at the hotel could direct us where to go to meet the provider of our offsite excursion. Even worse, after the excursion, we were left offsite after a driver, who apparently is paid by the hotel, refused to drive us back. The worst part of this experience is the price. We are used to paying premium prices and are ok with that if the experience is top notch. This was not. The food is average in almost all cases but is tremendously expensive. Think $15 for a coffee. Our nightly dinner (for 2 adults and a 12 year old) was almost always approaching $500, and the food was not good (except for 1 or 2 places). Lunch cost us $260 for 2 taco orders, a hamburger and a salad. The prices are insane. I felt like I was getting robbed on a daily basis. To summarize, this is not a luxury or quality experience. This place is designed to appeal to the masses and the experience matches. If you are looking for a high level, luxurious vacation, go elsewhere. You will not have that experience here. You are better off staying at one of the other hotels on the property. The experience is the same at 1/2 the price.
- BLLNDC (10/5): “A Rosewood Stay is a Happy Vacay” - My daughter and I recently spent another memorable week at the beautiful Rosewood, Baha Mar. Our only regret. — the vacation was not long enough. This rewarding, relaxing, rejuvenating experience, my fourth stay at the Rosewood and my daughter’s fifth was definitely “over the top!” Upon arrival, the amazing “one and only” Shanecquar, the Front Desk Manager, along with her hard-working staff welcomed us back with smiles and open arms. Shanecquar then graciously escorted us to our home for a week, a gorgeous, spacious contemporary and immaculate suite which included butler service from morning to night. As is always the way, chilled champagne with delicious savory delicacies and freshly baked goods were part of our welcome cheer 🥂. As we unpacked and settled in, I sipped on a glass of champagne while relaxing on the comfy huge terrace,nestled in beautiful landscaping with clear blue skies to mesmerize me. Yes, once again, Shanecquar showed us paradise. The huge state of the art kitchen and bathroom along with the laundry room in our suite all felt like pure luxury. Regarding our butler services, I feel like Shanecquar assigned the cream of the crop to us. Aaron, our first butler was outstanding; however, his tenure was short-lived due to a scheduling change. There was no regret because immediately we were blessed with Zia who never missed an hour or day making us feel like Queens! Zia most definitely has the people skills, demeanor, high energy, and hotel experience to serve all sizes of families, and ages. Her reassuring smile will make any guest feel relaxed, comfortable and stress-free. Kudos to Shanecquar for making all of the above possible. I would be remiss if I did not commend and again thank all the restaurant, pool and beach personnel who accommodated and served us all day, every day. My sincere appreciation to Greg, George, Dominic, Charles, Manny, Tyrec, Destiny, Ashley, Clive, Anton and our shining stars, Scott and McDonald who are exceptional in everything they do. Of course, from evening to night, our eloquent wining and dining always begins in the classy cozy Manor Lounge run by the renowned Fluffy and the best Baha Mar bartenders ever! Just remember all of the above can be yours if you check into the Rosewood, Baha Mar and simply enjoy!

- R4622RUdesireeb (10/5): The place is spectacular, but the staff shines the brightest - My wife and I we're on our honeymoon and had booked a very very high end local Airbnb. When we arrived at the Airbnb, it was an absolute nightmare. It was dirty, unsanitary, falling apart, completely falsely advertised. We were in the rain, at night, in a country that we've never been to and found ourselves completely homeless. There was some complication in switching our phones over so we didn't even have the ability to call anybody to check for local availability at a hotel. We have been traveling all day, we're tired, dirty, hungry, didn't have any communication, or place to live. We had to leave the Airbnb and decided to go to the closest hotel… We pulled into this gate and the security guard had suggested us going to the Hyatt versus the rosewood. Evidently the rosewood was quite expensive and the high it might be able to serve our needs better however when we got to the Hyatt, it was quite the party town. My wife and I are both sober and a nightclub with drunk folks on our honeymoon was certainly not the vibe we were after. We ended up at the rosewood and when we got there, Way (the concierge) was so incredibly welcoming while we felt completely out of place. It was total shock what was going on with us…Way what is trying to show us how to book a room and although incredibly pricey, we had nowhere else to really go. She was kind, gentle, encouraging, uplifting, reassuring, generous, and while my wife was trying to manage the logistics of everything, I was starting to have a nervous breakdown. Way recognized my need for console and sent this woman named Dianna. She immediately wrapped her arms around me, wiped my tears, sat me down on the couch and ministered to my soul. Not did they provide such incredible service, but they continued to shock and amaze us with their kindness for the next few nights that we stayed there. Dianna walked us around everywhere…provided incredible door to door service to restaurants, brought gifts to this absolutely spectacular room that Way provided. They went above and beyond to make sure we were safe, comfortable, and every need was met. They recognized the severity of this crisis and instantly became woman that I will forever remember as being godsends. No matter how many times we complimented these two women specifically to all their bosses, they are worth their weight in gold and I could never sing their praise enough. Not only were those two women spectacular, but everybody on the staff was friendly, upbeat, energetic, we were pampered, and we wanted for nothing. The linens in the room are absolutely stellar, kitchen, food, pools, landscaping,…just everything was a dream. It was so incredibly clean, quiet, the views were mesmerizing and breathtaking. Although our stay was far too short, we will go back just so we can see the staff again. It brings tears to my eyes even writing this because there will never be enough words to recognize what these two women have done. They have changed our lives forever and what they did for us during such a crisis was nothing short of a miracle.
- mdbetts (10/5): Great Stay at Rosewood Bahamas with Incrediblly Gracious Staff - Exceptional customer service at a beautiful resort Rosewood Nassau Bahamas is beautiful property, totally upscale, well constructed, right on the beach and very well done. It checks all the reviewer boxes on excellent housekeeping, cleanliness, amenities, location, etc. However, the best thing about Rosewood Nassau is the genuine nature of the service staff, without exception. Being a friendly person and interested in hospitality, I talked briefly to perhaps two dozen staffers over my three day stay. To name a few, my check-in was conducted by LaKita Austin, and she saw to my comfortable stay continuously. I had exceptionally thoughtful and warm service from the concierge, Drew Laval, whom I would hire in a heartbeat. On my last day, I had a half day off from my business colleagues to explore the island when I got to know the staff and the locals better. I asked one employee named Silvano, for the best restaurant locally. After his obligatory recommendations the hotel's outlets, he recommended Sapodilla, a local estate managed by the local family's 28-year-old son, Jamie, an impressive young man that i predict will be PM one day. Sapodilla prepared me fresh broiled fish, and fresh vegetables with a delicious hollandaise sauce. They are clearly a boutique restaurant, only about 10 minutes from the hotel, and they provide round-trip transportation to and from Rosewood, piano bar such that I finally felt like I had pierced the institutional veil. This was a hard find because most of the local food is deep-fried, ordinary and unhealthy. Another Guest Services staffer by the pool and on my last day in the lobby was Claudia, a charming and beautiful young Bahamian. Upon my departure she bound it up to me genuinely and warmly to wish me well. How does Rosewood find, train and retain these people? Whatever their recipe, it is commendable. - Bostontravels (8/5): Nice place - We liked the Rosewood Baha Mar. Compared to the general larger Baha Mar resort, the Rosewood was a tranquil, well landscaped corner with plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the beach or the pools. The beach was beautiful, nice soft sand, gentle surf, gorgeous water. Our room was a studio suite, 6th floor east wing, which was lovely, plenty of room to spread out, great shower, added bonus of a full washer/dryer and nice views out to the ocean. We very much enjoyed seeing the parade of cruise ships head out every evening along the horizon. Front desk staff, bar staff at Manor and the Library, cleaning staff and pool staff were uniformly friendly and helpful. Boulud restaurant and Costa were both great, we had one dinner and one breakfast at Boulud, we had three lunches and one dinner at Costa (right off pool, in my opinion vastly superior to Tingum on Beach) and both were excellent restaurants. As for other restaurants on greater property, they were hit or miss. Food and service at Shuang Ba and Marcus Chop House were excellent, really top notch and the outdoor dining at the Chop House was really atmospheric and lovely. Cleo was not good, food was a totally mixed bag though I can recommend the pita like bread (delicious) and mushroom flat bread (crispy and flavorful), check in and service were shambolic and poor. Katsuya was meh, some food was good, some so-so. We are spoiled with excellent sushi at home so most places we rate against our local and Katsuya was nowhere near as good, the design was odd (felt like I was in the middle of a Shisheido makeup counter), our server was very nice and prompt but the check in again was poor and shambolic. Overall we thought we may return probably for a 4 night stay instead of a full week. Nassau is a quick trip from East Coast, the airport was very well organized and quick to transit. We generally prefer low rise beach resorts (think FS Hualalai, Ritz Dorado or Rosewood Mayakoba) to having elevator high rises. We knew that going in and were prepared, the access to towers from pool area was easy, the elevators were super fast, really it was about as seamless a tower experience as you can have, but end of day we came away thinking we still prefer avoiding hotel hallways for our barefoot/bathing suit vacations.
- joseph (6/5): - Beautiful property ..check in was great . Biggest complaint is the butler service. They dont delieve on anything other than somethimg routine that you could easily do yourself. Probably better off booking through amex and get their amenities guatenteed instead of a suite with butler service.
- Sarah Caroline (4/5): - I rarely leave reviews but this stay was SO DISAPPOINTING I feel compelled to. From arrival to checkout, staff were uninterested and unhelpful, even rude at times. Our room was not ready until 430 PM (after early check-in requested 1 week prior). I was never texted or notified that our room was even ready, had to go to front desk to check for myself after waiting for 2 hours. Then once we got to the room, the key wrist bands did not work. Had to go back to front desk to have them fixed. NO apology from front desk for that inconvenience. iPad in room not working so unable to use that to look at menus/maps/order room service throughout stay. Lightbulbs burnt out on our patio, so completely dark at night. Lightbulbs never changed throughout stay. No turn down service at night except the last night when they had failed to clean our room during the day despite the cleaning light being on. Called for bottled water to be delivered at 1030PM since it has not been replenished due to NO turn down service, waters never came. Live music at Manor Bar until midnight, could hear it LOUD and CLEAR in our room on the 7th floor. Food/drinks extremely slow delivery time at pool, waited >45 minutes for anything. No apology ever for the long waiting time. This hotel is NOT up to rosewood standards, AT ALL. I've stayed at many Rosewoods and the service is always exceptional so this was extremely disappointing. We will not be returning. Save your money and stay at the Hyatt if going to Baha Mar.
- Kajal (8/5): - While your staff was incredibly nice, the service was not what may be expected from a hotel of this caliber. We had countless issues with in-room dining and house keeping services. Your staff wasn’t rude but the service was not exactly good either. We often had cold meals, long waiting times, missing items, days without house keeping services etc all while we kept calling the guest experiences line… I’ve stayed in rosewoods and four seasons all over the world and had expected better from Rosewood Baha Mar. There were a couple of exceptional people like Mohammed the Assistant Director of Rooms who helped us out when our son ran into a table and cut his head. He was incredible which is the standard I had expected from the Rosewood Baha Mar. The hotel itself is gorgeous and the rooms comfortable!

We were fully expecting to pay resort prices but they have taken it to a whole different level. While there we chatted with other guests and they had the same complaint. Not sure we will return.
- Melvin (6/5): - Property is just ok for what you would expect from a Rosewood. Certainly not exceptional. Had a hard time booking, getting concierge to follow up as in they did not on 2 occasions. Probably better places to stay for the price.
- Amy (10/5): - Lovely property. Spa was average due to lack of any amenities. No shower, sauna, hot tub. Able to use the neighboring Hyatt for the day but requires a walk. Rosewood pools were very nice, nearly empty. Beach was ok.
- Alexander (8/5): - Came for a weekend getaway. Sadly, I had cash stolen from my bag while it was with the bellhop. Do NOT leave any cash unattended at this property. When these things happen, there is no evidence and the hotel will not accept responsibility, which I understand. Still, I had to spend several hours of my weekend speaking with various hotel staff and security personnel about the issue. The whole experience left a bitter taste to an otherwise nice trip, and it's sad to see that it's a recurring problem here.

We mentioned that when we requested an ice bucket to be brought to his room. That took 2 hours. I went to the front desk and she placed an urgent order for ice. That took 45 min. Unacceptable. Restuarants - drinks came after appetizers were done and almost right with the meal. Very high prices for mediocre food. Pool side service - poor . Almost like they did not care since no tipping was policy. Beach side service was excellent. Felt cheated for such high prices for poor service quality than cheaper "All Inclusive" resorts in Mexico . Expected high end service at a higher end resort. Wanted to mention this so a quick improvement can be made.
